Which sea can you go to? Holidays at sea - where to go? Where and when to relax? Summer holidays by your own sea. Tours and tickets
note If you are going to go to the sea with a child under three years old, when choosing a resort you should pay attention to the following points: Flat, sandy bottom so that the baby can enter the water Clean, “non-flowering” water Lack of jellyfish, sea urchins, and corals in the water Children's pool at the hotel. Young children who come to the sea for the first time are often afraid to go to the sea. In such a situation, a children's pool will be indispensable. Attention! A child should not be forced into water. Otherwise, you can discourage swimming for a long time. It is better to wait until the baby gets used to the sea and decides to enter the water himself. Children's infrastructure in the hotel (high chairs, cribs with high sides, special menu in the restaurant, playgrounds, baby-sitter services). |
Mediterranean and Aegean Sea
Where to go: Balearic Islands, Spain, France, Italy, Monaco, Malta, Greece, Turkey, Egypt, Tunisia.
This region is truly unique. It has absorbed the flavor of several continents, comfortably located between Europe, Asia and Africa. There is a special atmosphere here, palm trees line the streets, and the picturesque landscapes are wonderfully combined with pine forests, bushes and sandy beaches. The climate in local resorts is light subtropical Mediterranean: the average air temperature in summer is +23–29°C. But thanks to the cool sea breeze that refreshes the coast, the heat is not felt. The water temperature is +19–30°C, and the salt concentration is 36–39%.
For whom? Most Mediterranean resorts specialize in the treatment and prevention of asthmatic and cardiovascular diseases. The local climate is especially useful for children with vegetative-vascular problems and lung diseases.
Adriatic Sea
Where to go: Croatia, Montenegro, Italy.
Jacques Cousteau once said that this is the cleanest sea. Agree, you can trust Cousteau’s opinion: he has traveled far and wide many seas. The climate on the Adriatic coast is very similar to the Mediterranean, only the water is cooler +19–25°C. Adriatic resorts are surrounded by greenery, city parks are home to camellias, magnolias and palm trees, and on some beaches you can find unique black sand.
For whom? The local climate best helps to recover from injuries and is useful for the prevention of diseases of the musculoskeletal system. In addition, a number of local resorts specialize in pediatric and adolescent gynecology.
Red sea
Where to go: Egypt, Israel.
The Red Sea is one of the warmest (water temperature in summer +32°C) and saltiest (+38–42%) seas. It gets its name from the presence of a significant amount of algae in it, the accumulation of which gives the water a reddish color. The climate on the Red Sea coast is subtropical: dry, hot summers (in July the air temperature is +24–30°C and mild winters. The air here is saturated with bromine, which in itself is incredibly healing. Another feature of the Red Sea is its shallow shores, suitable for children’s games .
For whom? Resorts on the Red Sea are recommended for children with diseases of the cardiovascular system and respiratory tract. Couples desperate to have children also come here. The local climate miraculously cures some types of male and female infertility.
Black Sea
Where to go: Krasnodar region, Crimea, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey.
This truly paradise has absorbed the most generous earthly gifts: the azure sea, golden sands, gentle sun, healing mud and mineral waters. In terms of humidity, the Black Sea climate is not much different from what we are used to: the water temperature in summer is about +25–28°C, and the salinity is 18%. At depth, the water contains a large amount of hydrogen sulfide; there are practically no living organisms there.
For whom? Black Sea resorts are ideally suited for very young children who are being taken to the sea for the first time. Local boarding houses specialize in diseases of the respiratory system and musculoskeletal system. Adults also bring children here to sanatoriums that strengthen and prevent diseases of the nervous and cardiovascular systems.
Baltic Sea
Where to go: Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Sweden.
The climate on the Baltic Sea coast is transitional from maritime to continental. The air temperature in summer is about +17°C, and the water temperature is +18–20°C. This is one of the weakest seas (8-11%). And there are legends about the healing power of the local pine air.
For whom? The local climate is best suited for the prevention of cancer, as well as for recovery after treatment with radiation and chemotherapy. At the same time, it is recommended to visit Baltic Sea resorts for children registered with an endocrinologist.
Ionian Sea
Where to go: o. Crete, Sicily, Ischia, Ionian Islands.
The coast of the Ionian Sea is famous for its climate: the water temperature in August is +25°C, and the salinity does not exceed 38%. Moreover, even at the height of the tourist season, these resorts are not as crowded as, for example, the Turkish or Spanish coast. Golden sand beaches, olive groves, citrus orchards, majestic mountains, bizarre cliffs and countless coves and bays await you.
For whom? The very stay in these unique places has a wonderful effect on the child’s body and helps strengthen the immune system. Diseases of the respiratory tract and gastrointestinal tract are mainly treated here. These places are rich in healing mineral water, which is used to normalize metabolism in the body.

For whom? Children with diseases of the digestive system, neuroses and chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract are brought here.
Atlantic Ocean
Where to go: Canary Islands, Malvinas Islands, Portugal (Madeira Island).
For a long time, these islands were exclusively medicinal resorts thanks to the air saturated with the smells of pine trees and eucalyptus trees. Most of these islands are occupied by relict pre-glacial forests, protected by UNESCO. Holidays at these resorts are a real oriental fairy tale, a live adaptation of The Arabian Nights. Due to the exceptionally mild climate, these resorts are often called the territory of eternal spring. It is never too hot or too cold here: in summer the average air temperature is +21–26°C, and in winter +19°C. The local climate is characterized by high humidity. Thanks to the warm waters of the Gulf Stream, the average annual water temperature is within the range of +22–28°C, its salinity is 34–37%.

Therefore, most resorts on the Canary and Malvinas Islands specialize in general health programs. And resorts in Portugal accept mainly young patients with diseases of the cardiovascular system and lungs.
Dead Sea
As a rule, people go to the Dead Sea not to relax, but to get treatment.
Nature has endowed this area with a rare combination of unique health properties:
More than 330 sunny days a year.
Low air humidity (average relative humidity 27% in summer and 38% in winter).
Insignificant amount of precipitation.
Extraordinarily clean air, free of allergic particles and harmful impurities.
The unusually high content of salts and minerals in the water of the Dead Sea is about 33% (for comparison, the concentration of salts in the Mediterranean Sea is about 3%).
Increased atmospheric pressure (1050–1066 millibars), which, in combination with other factors, has a beneficial effect on human joints. Only in the Dead Sea area can patients receive treatment in a natural pressure chamber located at 400 meters
below sea level.
High oxygen content in the air - 10% higher than at sea level.
High content of bromine and bromides in the air.
Therapeutic mud and thermal mineral springs rich in minerals and organic components.
Unique photobiological characteristics present on earth only in the Dead Sea area and leading in the treatment of skin diseases. The constant layer of aerosols in the air (due to the unusually high evaporation of water), as well as an additional 400 meters of atmosphere, filter and trap harmful rays of the sun and create a special type of ultraviolet radiation, so sun exposure can be longer than at other resorts. The combination of natural factors in the Dead Sea area, such as the unique chemical composition of the water, healing mud and sulfuric hot springs, is used to treat various diseases of the skin and joints.
Pros and cons of Russian resorts
Low level of service. High chairs and cribs, special rooms with teachers, children's menus in restaurants are a rarity
Most sanatoriums and holiday homes accept parents with children over three years old.
Little entertainment for children
Positive aspects of Russian resorts:
Cheaper than foreign ones
Close distance (flight about two hours)
No language barrier
No problems with visa processing
Easy way home. If you come to the seaside and see that the climate is not suitable for your child or he is allergic to something, then it is easier to return home from the Caucasus than, for example, from the island of Corfu, where you will arrive on a charter flight.
Olga Sergeevna Lytkarina, pediatrician: If you decide to go to the sea with an infant, be sure to show him or her to a pediatrician before leaving and find out whether the child will tolerate acclimatization normally. If parents want their child to not only rest, but also improve his health, then he should stay at sea for at least 21 days. |
We solve many problems for ourselves, where it is warm, comfortable and relatively inexpensive, entertainment, food, travel, visa. But sometimes we forget about the most important thing, which of the seas is the most useful for us.
It has long been proven that sea water is beneficial for the body because it is very similar in composition to human blood plasma. Beneficial substances dissolved in water easily enter the body through the pores of the skin, and then through the walls of blood vessels into the blood. Sea water enriches our body with the active minerals it contains, which activate cell restoration, which means it has a rejuvenating effect. At the same time, magnesium contained in sea water improves immunity, calcium strengthens bones, iodine normalizes metabolism, potassium normalizes blood pressure, and bromine calms the nerves.
This is why most people, on an instinctive level, strive in winter to countries where there is a warm sea and it is always warm. Doctors and scientists believe that the most beneficial sea is a unique medicine in itself, which not only allows our body to rest, but also brings our entire body to its original form at the molecular level.
But which of the seas is the most useful and where is it worth going to, at the same time, relax and heal?
Dead Sea.
The Dead Sea is the healthiest sea for children.
Of course, the healthiest of the seas on our planet - the Dead Sea. According to our Russian standards, you can’t swim in it (from dawn to dusk), but small baths, especially in the morning, are undoubtedly useful. The Dead Sea has long been famous for the large amount of salts and salts dissolved in its waters. There are 21 minerals dissolved in the water of the Dead Sea, and 12 of them are not found in any sea in the world.
By the way, the Dead Sea is called dead because not only fish, but also microorganisms do not live in it. There are no industrial enterprises on the Dead Sea coast, so The Dead Sea is one of the cleanest in the world.
In summer, on the coast the dead temperature reaches 40 degrees, but due to the constant evaporation of bromine, you will not notice it. Bromine evaporation protects your skin from the unhealthy effects of ultraviolet radiation, so on the beaches of the Dead Sea you will not see a single person who is sunburned - the tan will always be even and beautiful. That is why the Dead Sea will be most useful for those who want to get an even, beautiful tan, and not burn in the sun on the first day of their stay at sea.
Take note of Snow White!
The Dead Sea is valued not only for even and beautiful tan , it remarkably cures various skin diseases, such as skin eczema, psoriasis, chronic dermatitis, neurodermatitis. It is also useful to visit the Dead Sea for those suffering from diseases of the respiratory system - pharyngitis, chronic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, sinusitis and joint diseases (arthritis, arthrosis).
But the main benefit of the Dead Sea is that it treats the main disease of all business people - chronic fatigue, and in this it has no equal. Of course, there are also contraindications: cancer and allergies to iodine.
Sunset over the red sea
The Red Sea ranks second in terms of its healing effectiveness after the Dead Sea, therefore it is considered second most useful for healing the body. The sea is very warm, and unlike the Dead Sea, where you cannot stay in the water for a long time, much less swim, the Red Sea is simply a paradise for those who like to swim and dive. This largely determines its effectiveness and usefulness.
And the Red Sea is second in terms of the content of useful salts; the sea is replete with coral reefs; they are an additional source of useful mineral salts. To those who suffer cardiovascular and respiratory diseases The Red Sea is useful in spring, as well as during the velvet season. However, it is possible to treat respiratory tract disease in the summer and even more effectively due to natural evaporation in the air, just do not forget that in the heat (midday) you cannot be on the Red Sea, like any other. Some species are successfully treated in the Red Sea female and male infertility , especially caused by the consequences of infectious diseases suffered in childhood or adolescence.
Black, Mediterranean, Aegean and Adriatic Sea.
These seas have an almost equal composition of salts and naturally the same healing effect , at the same time, the absence of pressure drops and moderate humidity are very suitable for those suffering from cardiovascular diseases and hypertension.
Conifers forests in Mediterranean resorts form a unique composition of air, serve as an excellent prevention of bronchial asthma and chronic bronchitis, as well as tuberculosis and pneumonia.
The Mediterranean climate is suitable for patients with disorders of the nervous and endocrine systems. The Mediterranean air simply charges the body of vacationers with ions and phytoncides, and the water with mineral salts.
According to domestic doctors, the most useful of the seas is that the water composition in it corresponds to the microelement composition of human blood.
Baltic Sea.
The Baltic Sea got fourth place in the ranking “usefulness” of the seas for the health of the human body. However, this sea also has its undeniable advantages. and the absence of heat, as well as the gentle sun, make it the most useful vacation spot for children and adults from northern latitudes, as well as those with weakened bodies that have difficulty with acclimatization. passes unnoticeably, and the abundance of coniferous forests with their wonderful healing air are beneficial for people with thyroid and respiratory diseases . Even the fact that the water in the sea is quite cool, which warms up to only 20 degrees, works to improve the health of the body, speeds up metabolic processes and tones the blood vessels, and there is also an opinion that only the Baltic Sea promotes weight loss.
When you decide to spend a vacation at sea, you need to take care of your health, so choose the healthiest of the seas for relaxation and treatment, even if you do not suffer from any illnesses or diseases.
Interesting facts about the Black Sea.
Which sea is better to go on vacation?Vacation time is approaching. Most of us cannot imagine summer without the sea. And they are absolutely right. After all, the sea is a unique natural “medicine” that not only provides an opportunity to relax, but also improve health.
Thus, the French biologist Rene Kenton proved: sea water is so similar in composition to human blood plasma that it is able to penetrate through the pores of the skin into the blood, activating the construction of cells and enriching the body with minerals. In particular, magnesium (improves immunity), calcium (strengthens bones), iodine (normalizes metabolic processes), potassium (normalizes blood pressure) and bromine (calms nerves). The main question is what to choose?
Dead Sea
Pros: He has long held the palm in the dispute over which sea is the most useful. And all thanks to the healing mud and the unique mineral composition of the water (the Dead Sea contains a record amount of salt - 260-310 g/kg of water). In addition, the Dead Sea is considered the cleanest, because neither fish nor microorganisms can live in it. In addition, there are no developed industrial enterprises around. Despite the fact that at the height of summer the temperature on the coast reaches 40 degrees, the heat is easily tolerated thanks to the constant bromine fumes. This natural effect not only makes the air soft and pleasant to breathe, but also reduces the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation, so the tan is even and it is almost impossible to get sunburned.
Incredibly, 12 of the 21 Dead Sea minerals are not found anywhere else in the body of water on our planet.
Minuses: brave swimmers and divers have nothing to do here, since you cannot plunge into the Dead Sea, and you cannot swim either. The saturated brine solution is forcefully pushed out of the water. So the most you can count on is to lie peacefully on the water, reading a newspaper. It is not recommended to come here for those who are very sensitive to various aromas - the air often smells of hydrogen sulfide.
What are we treating? Skin diseases: psoriasis, skin eczema, neurodermatitis, chronic dermatoses. Bronchopulmonary diseases: chronic rhinitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, bronchial asthma, sinusitis, tonsillitis. Joint diseases: arthritis, arthrosis; chronic fatigue syndrome. But those who suffer from cancer or are allergic to iodine should not go.
Red sea
Pros:“silver” medalist for the title of the most healthy sea on the planet and second in the “salinity” rating (38-42 g/kg of water!). But unlike the Dead Sea, the water of the Red Sea is alive, that is, it contains many beneficial microorganisms, including algae. But if you can’t swim in the Dead Sea, then in the Red Sea it is highly recommended. After all, the Red Sea is one of the warmest (water temperature in summer is +32°C). The coral reefs for which the Red Sea is famous are another unique source of beneficial minerals.
Minuses: Despite the fact that the air here is also saturated with healing bromine, it is not enough to form a protective film from direct sunlight, so in the summer months the Red Sea is very hot. In addition, even in the evening hours, high humidity remains in the air.
The most comfortable sea water temperature for swimming is +23... +25ºС. Warmer sea water loses many beneficial properties.
What are we treating? Diseases of the cardiovascular system and respiratory tract (in spring or during the “velvet” season), some types of male and female infertility, obesity.
Adriatic, Aegean, Marmara and Black Seas
Pros: they have approximately the same healing properties. Salt content - up to 40 g per 1 liter. The only difference is the climate. For example, the Black Sea resorts of Crimea, Odessa region, Bulgaria and Romania are characterized by warm summers, moderate humidity and the absence of pressure and temperature changes, which is suitable for hypertensive patients and people suffering from cardiovascular diseases. For those who like it “hot,” we can recommend the southern coast of Crimea, as well as most resorts in the Mediterranean, Aegean, Marmara and Adriatic seas. Summer here is hot, but easily tolerated due to low humidity. In addition, coniferous forests make the local air truly healing, saturated with ions, salts and plant phytoncides. By the way, the water of the Black Sea is closest in composition to the microelement composition of human blood, which makes swimming in it especially useful and comfortable.
Minuses: In the Black Sea resorts of Turkey and the Caucasus, summers are quite hot and air humidity is high.
Algae is one of the most powerful means of combating cellulite and sagging skin. Due to the high content of minerals, various sugars and vitamins, algae extracts normalize metabolism, activate the functioning of skin cells and remove toxins. In addition, they help solve problems of excess weight: biologist Duchenne discovered that algae can break down fats and remove them from the body
What are we treating? Prevention of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, bronchial asthma and tuberculosis. Treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, nervous and endocrine systems.
Sea of Azov
Pros: unique in its composition: 92 health-promoting minerals from the periodic table are dissolved in it. The water of the Azov Sea is most useful in windy weather, when waves raise a suspension of silt and dirt from the bottom, which has a beneficial effect on the body. Active mud volcanoes, which contain iodine, bromine and hydrogen sulfide, are beneficial for muscles, restoring their tone, and also normalize metabolic processes in the body. The sand of Azov beaches contains a large amount of biologically active substances. Therefore, recently a course of psammotherapy - sand baths - has been in demand at resorts. Just keep in mind: you can bury yourself in hot sand no higher than the heart area, and your head should be covered with a damp towel. Daily 15-20 minutes in such a sand bath will launch metabolic processes and help you lose weight. In total, you need to do at least 5-7 procedures. It’s also easy to breathe here. Dry steppe air, mixing with sea air, creates a natural inhaler with the aromas of steppe herbs and elements such as calcium, iodine, bromine.
Minuses: The beaches are partly shallow.
What are we treating? General strengthening of the immune system, prevention of vitamin deficiency, osteoporosis and premature aging. Diseases of the endocrine, respiratory, musculoskeletal systems and heart.
Baltic Sea
Pros: The moderate, comfortable climate, mild sun, and absence of sweltering heat make a holiday in the Baltic almost ideal for everyone: both children and adults. Acclimatization goes unnoticed. Coniferous forests create a unique atmosphere, thanks to which the air on the coast is beneficial for diseases of the respiratory system and thyroid gland. The water in the Baltic Sea is cold, about 20 degrees, but such extreme swimming is an excellent natural “massage” that tones the walls of blood vessels, speeds up metabolic processes and promotes weight loss.
Minuses: Due to the low salinity, the water does not hold the body well on the surface, so swimming requires tension in the muscles and joints, which is a contraindication for people with musculoskeletal disorders.
What are we treating? Respiratory tract diseases, cardiovascular diseases, endocrine disorders, recovery from cancer, chemotherapy, surgery, treatment of nervous disorders.

Don't forget about acclimatization. Especially when choosing short-term trips. According to the advice of pediatricians, it makes sense to take the child out if you live by the sea at least one month! Otherwise, possible acclimatization will only add stress to the growing body, and, as a result, serious harm will be caused. We advise you to approach the selection thoroughly, so that when choosing the sea for a trip with children you had both time and funds to organize a vacation.

Relatively recently, residents of post-Soviet countries, out of habit, flocked to the coast in the summer Black Sea. Everything flows, everything changes. Now the choice of seas and oceans is much wider. But the well-forgotten old is not always bad and unnecessary. The temperature of the Black Sea in summer is slightly lower than, for example, the Red Sea. The average water temperature is 22 °C. And finding a country in which to spend your vacation will not be difficult. Do you want Ukraine or Russia, or do you want Turkey or Bulgaria. Of course, the Black Sea is black for that reason. The color of the water there corresponds to its name, so diving is difficult. And what to hide, the coast of this sea cannot always boast of cleanliness and neatness. Thus, about 20 European countries discharge wastewater into the Black Sea, including the Danube, Prut and Dnieper, which flow into it. Another factor of pollution is the massive development of the Black Sea coast. As a result, the bottom in such areas is covered with residues of concrete, cement dust and various chemical materials.
You can also relax on Baltic Sea. By the way, it has very little saltiness. This is the result of an impressive freshwater flow. In the summer months, the temperature at the surface of the water is close to the air temperature. It is higher along the eastern shores, and lower along the western, Swedish coast. In winter, on the contrary, the eastern parts of the sea are colder than the western ones. So, the water temperature in summer in the Gulf of Finland is 15-17 °C, in the Gulf of Bothnia - 9-13 °C, in the center of the sea - 14-17 °C. I don’t think that such a climate is suitable for a holiday with small children, whom parents take to the sea, as they say, to warm them up.
Many, however, prefer trips to Europe. Mediterranean Sea washes the shores of many countries in the region, from France and Spain to Croatia, Montenegro and Turkey. This makes it possible to choose a resort in accordance with the needs and capabilities of each tourist. States in other parts of the world - Tunisia, Morocco, Israel - also have access to the Mediterranean Sea. In terms of salinity and temperature, this sea is one of the warmest and saltiest. The water is amazing. Its transparency reaches 50-60 m, its color is bright blue. The average air temperature in winter can vary from 13-15 °C off the southern coast, to approximately 8-11 °C in the north, and in August - from 19-23 °C in the north, to 25-30 °C, respectively, in the southern regions of the sea . Thalassotherapy centers (sea water treatment) are common on the Mediterranean coast. For such procedures, go to France, Spain, Greece or Tunisia.
