Let's start with the fact that the peninsula has at its disposal several airfields, however, only the city of Simferopol has the ability to receive civil flights, the rest make domestic flights. The terminal has four terminals and the entire flow of arriving and departing passengers passes through them. Its reconstruction has been going on for the third year, improvements are visible. At the peak of the summer season, the Simferopol airport serves about 200 flights per day. This is the fifth place in terms of passenger traffic in the Russian Federation. So, how to buy cheap tickets to Crimea?
Where to buy
Flights to the peninsula are made only from Russia. At the moment, there are about 50 cities that carry out air flights there. The scheme for buying a coveted ticket is simple. First, you can turn to the help of search engines such as Aviasales.ru, Skyscanner.ru, Momondo.ru. Their system will be able to quickly coordinate, based on your parameters, regarding the date of departure, the number of passengers. Within one or two minutes, the programs will display a list of flights for the number you specified. Here all the cards are in hand.
The benefits of online booking are clear. Here you have a quick registration on the services, round-the-clock access - order at least at five in the morning, fresh up-to-date information, it is possible to compare price tags from different companies, an instant booking and payment process, saving time and effort.
Many go directly to the airline. For example, they go to the Pobeda website and look at cheap flights there, our low-cost airline is always able to surprise with a low price. Remember that when ordering a ticket from Pobeda, the price will increase when you order additional services, because such squat price tags are dictated by the fact that you pay only for the flight, everything else is not included in the price.
Those who participate in Aeroflot Bonus accumulative programs and the like can use such an option as free tickets for the number of bonus points that they have accumulated, because flying to Crimea is not so expensive, so for participants - check your bonus accounts .
Retirees may well rely on subsidized tickets; since 2009, our country has a program that allows those who have retired to buy air tickets at a significant discount. Not every airline takes part in this preferential program, but it is not so difficult to find a flight of the company that is actually not so difficult, because there are a dozen or even more of them.
What you need to know
1. Air tickets should be purchased much earlier than the departure of the liner. Prices for a voyage to the Crimea are steadily growing as the holiday season approaches, so the best option is to arrange them three to six months before departure. The price tag will be an order of magnitude lower than a month before the planned one.
2. When you have decided on the date, pay attention to the price tag in the coming days. Sometimes you can win ten or fifteen percent. Unwritten rule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are the most profitable days for air travel. Friday and Saturday are the most expensive.
3. We advise you to buy two-way tickets, as it is very profitable for air carriers to sell a couple of air tickets at once, in connection with this they reduce their cost. They are doing the right thing, we only benefit from this, firstly it costs less, and secondly, it gives confidence that you won’t need to search for a return ticket in a hurry. Saving time, nerves.
4. As mentioned above about Pobeda, if you fly without baggage and you are not interested in food, etc. on an airplane, feel free to take a ticket from a low-cost airline. For example, from Moscow to Simferopol, the time interval is just over two hours, in order to preserve funds, you can tolerate it. By the way, it will not work to return such tickets, or rather it will, but only a fine will be deducted from the refundable funds. Buying a cheap air ticket to Crimea here is 20-30% more profitable than what other air carriers offer.
5. On the official pages of almost every airline, it is possible to subscribe to news about a particular flight. Just indicate the route you are interested in, dates and mailbox, and the robotic system will send the best offers to your e-mail that open over time. It is better to arrange such a newsletter six months before the trip. This maneuver allows you to save up to 50% of the original cost of the ticket.
6. Crimean peninsula, one of the most popular destinations. Referring to the fifth column about mailing, it is worth emphasizing that companies are fighting for customers, arranging permanent promotions, providing discounts. Trying to interrupt each other, they create comfortable conditions for us to buy, which we recommend using.
7. Always in all directions, including the Crimea, airliner tickets will cost less if the departure is early in the morning. or even at night. This aspect is beneficial if getting to the airport at night is not difficult.
Crimea is one of the most amazing places on Earth, those who have already been here will not let you lie. Maybe over time, there will be even more resorts here, the infrastructure will improve, and high-quality roads will be laid. Now, this place captivates with its simplicity, nature and friendliness, to be honest, it captivates. If you arrange a tour here, you will find here everything a traveler needs from a sandy beach in Sevastopol to an old-fashioned but attractive Yalta.

Moreover, you will not be charged an additional commission: agencies or airlines undertake the payment of commissions.

Crimea has always been an attractive place for us, especially after there was no need to overcome customs. In the Russian Crimea, we tried to "break through" last year, but alas, the storm confused all the cards, in the end it turned out. "Psihanuv" on Adler for ruining my vacation, I said: "My legs will not be on our Black Sea coast until the construction of a bridge to the Crimea!".
This summer, 2015, we were supposed to fly to Greece, or rather to Rhodes or Crete, and my entire vacation was tied to this. But, as they say, if you want to make God laugh, tell him about your plans.
The collapse of the ruble confused all the cards. I had to "rush" around Russia. As a result, Crimea was chosen. And in the first half of June, our trip took place.
Today I present to you the first article about a trip to the Crimea, in which I will tell you:
- about our flight to the sunny peninsula and back by two airlines - Aeroflot and Orenburg Airlines,
- about the Sheremetyevo airport in Moscow and the airport in Simferopol.
To Crimea by plane we flew for the first time. So far there have been 5 trips. It turned out that the plane is not only fast, but also good.
So l personal experience of the June 2015 trip to the Crimea with all the details.
Choosing a hotel, buying tickets
But it all started with the fact that I began to choose a hotel in which we would rest, and, like a picky bride, put forward a number of requirements for him: 1) not far from the sea, 2) since the sea is cold in Crimea in early June, then a full-fledged pool is required, 3) only a strip of land from Sevastopol to Alushta suited, neither Western nor Eastern Crimea was even considered, 4) reviews on Booking are not lower than 8.5, 5) for all this charm, not more than 2,500 rubles per day. As a result, the hotel was found - "Villa Valentina" in Azure, that is, Alushta.
The next question is tickets. Since we were traveling together with Lyovka, there was only one way - to fly to the Crimea by plane. I bought tickets in economy class at Aeroflot even before the discount of 7,500 rubles. two ways per person. We didn’t get cheap tickets to the Crimea, I overpaid 5,000 rubles. Do I regret it? No, firstly, I didn’t twitch, secondly, I bought tickets for the dates and times that I wanted, and thirdly, the return flight was more comfortable, but more on that later. This is how everything seemed to be done, it only remained to wait for X hour.
Road to Sheremetyevo airport
We flew out on Monday June 11, and this was my first mistake. Why? Yes, just if you do not live in Moscow, then Monday is not worth choosing, because. it is on this day that either the laziest or the smartest citizens go back to Moscow. We were saved by the fact that the plane took off at 7.20 and we managed to get through Moscow before the traffic jams, but returning back, Vitek observed them, and judging by their length, there were a lot of "smart" ones.
I checked in for the flight online. Therefore, upon arrival, they simply checked in their luggage. There were 40-45 minutes left before boarding, and I let my husband go home. My son and I sat quietly, then passed the control and went to the next waiting room.
What I immediately did not like in Sheremetyevo. There are no intelligible signs, as a result, at first we "drove" with our suitcases to the exit for the staff, but the friendly flight attendants explained where to go. The security measures at the airport are quite strict: at the entrance I was asked to drink from a bottle of water. The prices at the airport are appropriate, so it's easier to take water with you, and, if anything, just throw away the leftovers. Otherwise: clean, comfortable, civilized.
Well, Lyovka and I found our flight on the scoreboard, saw a large line of passengers, stood at its end. As a result, everyone was loaded onto the bus without any problems and taken to the plane. The plane is quite comfortable, the distance between the rows (and after my mother’s story about the flight to Transbaikalia, that’s what I was afraid of) is quite normal, even my son sat down with his 179 centimeters. We sat near the porthole, so we admired the picture of the takeoff completely.
Flight Moscow - Simferopol. Fly with Aeroflot!
Now I can say my opinion about Aeroflot service. Everything is on the level. Served by stewardesses in cute orange uniforms, everyone is extremely polite. In addition to the instructions, the seat pockets contained both paper bags and magazines, so I enjoyed reading on the road. The children were given small gifts, I don’t know what was in them, but I met these backpacks on the children when I flew back. As they say, a trifle, but nice. Our tickets included breakfast, which consisted of a sandwich and drinks.
Well, now about the bad. Most likely due to dumping prices, the flight was full to capacity, a lot of passengers with children. Believe me, I love children, and they love me too, but when they start screaming, pounding on the seat, after a sleepless night it's annoying. Feeling like being on a crowded bus. But we got there without any problems. And, oddly enough, it was not scary, although I, a coward, was very afraid the day before.
Airport in Simferopol
Simferopol met with clouds. We landed, and here is a contrast with Sheremetyev. Firstly, all the tracks somehow reminded me of my native Ryazan, a pit on a pit and a pit drives. No buses were given to the gangway, just an aunt in a vest stood and waved her hand: they say, come in.
We run into the hall, and there the uncle is shouting something, moreover, even without a horn, nothing is heard. I see familiar faces, I stand near the tape. And my advice to you: do not be lazy, sew a noticeable "identification card" on the suitcase, I personally sheathed the handles with a satin ribbon. Why? Yes, it's just that on this tape, many suitcases become "on one face", and it's hard to find your own.
But we fished out our luggage and went to look for our transfer. In fact, you can also get from the airport by public transport. If anyone is interested, look at the article about the road to the southern coast of Crimea, everything is explained very clearly. But I didn't want to bother, so we ordered hotel transfer. We were greeted and taken without any problems. Some hour, and from cloudy Simferopol we ended up in sunny Alushta. very picturesque, but I was also nostalgic because we traveled along it more than once.
Way back. From Alushta to Simferopol by taxi
For the return flight, I ordered a taxi from Alushta to Simferopol, which cost a little less than a transfer. We left sunny Alushta, but already in Perevalnoye we got into such a downpour and hail that I was afraid that we would be left without glasses. We drive up to Simferopol, and the whole sky is covered with thunderclouds. Even the driver asked: do planes fly in such weather? I highly doubted this as well. The driver took us to the terminals.
Hello again! Simferopol airport
We flew out of terminal C. We see A, we see B, but where is C? I go to B (it seems to be closer alphabetically), but it turns out that now C is A. These are the metamorphoses. There were enough such "lost ones" without us. Anyway.
We approach the desired terminal, which has not yet been fully reconstructed. We go inside. Here, the security measures are not as strict as in Sheremetyevo: they didn’t even pay attention to the water. If at Sheremetyevo there was just a division of racks for domestic and foreign flights, then in Simferopol it was already by numbers. I hold out a printout of the online booking, but we are re-registered for the same seats. And unlike Moscow, they change paper for boarding passes.
There are few seats in the waiting room, they are clearly not enough, but my son and I find chairs and sit down. And here Simferopol begins. The fact is that even with tickets, landing in 40 minutes. I went up to the scoreboard, and there was information that the registration of the previous flight was underway, although it had already been announced that it was over. But, as they say, "language will bring to Kyiv." I find out that you can go through security and wait for boarding already in the departure hall.
We pass into the next room. There are already enough places for everyone. We are watching how a crowded Aeroflot flight to Moscow is being loaded. We sit down to wait. It seems to take off at 13.40, at half past two, but the landing is not announced. I notice that a woman from our flight (who checked in our luggage with us) is going to the next room. It turns out that our landing is from there. It seems that they should announce the landing on the speakerphone, but nothing is heard in the next room. It is not strange that some passengers are "lost".
We get to the plane on our own two feet, sit down. And then the rain starts. The crew commander makes an explanation: in connection with a thunderstorm, we will take off according to the weather. It's raining, lightning is flashing, so turn it to the fullest.
They delayed us for 40 minutes, but it's good that they took off at all. And the funny thing is that beyond the mountains, on the southern coast of Crimea, the sun was shining...
Flight Simferopol - Moscow. Orenburg Airlines
Well, now my opinion about another airline - Orenburg Airlines. The fact is that it was a joint flight with Aeroflot, but apparently the benefits do not apply to it, so we flew like snow leopards in a half-empty plane: there are two people in front, Lyovka and I are alone in the row, there is no one behind, so beauty .
This time, in addition to the stewardesses, there were also male stewards. And obviously not young. Service is polite. But here everything is somehow more modest: no gifts for children, no magazines, packages were given out on demand. Although the return ticket was "with a snack", but in fact it is the same sandwich, only in a different form. The kid swept it away so fast that I gave him mine. But in general, due to the smaller number of people, the flight was more comfortable.
They took off over the Crimea, so I admired the South Coast, and Kazantip, and Kerch. And then my son began to read a book, and I "expelled" him from the window.
We flew well, unloaded on the bus, arrived without incident. We were met by Vitya.
And then my second mistake "surfaced". We returned on June 11, on the eve of a long weekend. It's just that Vitka had a birthday, and I wanted to somehow manage to celebrate it. But in the end, we coincided with the "crowd", and, having left the airport at 17:00, we arrived in Ryazan at 23:00. Therefore, my advice to you, if you are driving a car, in no case do not return on the eve of the weekend, you are tormented.
Results. What is the best mode of transport to travel?
Now I can say with a clear conscience: I traveled and traveled and flew. What is good about an airplane? Of course, the speed of movement: at 3 am I was still in Ryazan, and already at 11 am in sunny Alushta. That's what it means - by plane to the Crimea! Believe me, it's like waving a magic wand, once - and in place.
Minuses. Airports, as a rule, are located at a distance from the city, with all the ensuing consequences. You can take only 20 kilograms of luggage with you for economy class. You have to arrive at the airport in advance, so by the time of the flight you can easily add the waiting time after checking in your luggage and, again, the time it takes to receive it. If the flight is full, then it feels like being on a bus, it's not your own car. But still, I liked the plane much more than the train.
Well, if we compare Simferopol with Moscow, then so far the airport in Crimea is not up to international, and not even international, it does not hold out. The same lane, waiting room, notification, delivery of passengers. I hope that this is only for now, and in time everything will change. Until then, you'll have to be patient.
Finally, I present a short video made "from under the floor" in an airplane.
