Where is seat 4a on the plane? Airbus A320 Aeroflot - cabin layout and best seats. At Rossiya Airlines - Airbus A320
Traveling by plane always tires a person, and often it can even be harmful to his health. However, there is always the opportunity to take care of additional benefits for yourself. One of these may be the right choice of where to sit in the cabin. To do this, it is important to know the location of the seats on the plane.
It is important to understand that there is no seat that would suit every passenger. Everyone focuses on their own needs. Some people like to sit by the window, some like to sit in the aisle, and for others the opportunity to stretch their long legs forward is important.
Seat classes
The aircraft cabin is most often divided into three zones for passengers:
Inexpensive economy class seats with a minimum of services.
Comfortable business class seats with additional services that make the flight as comfortable as possible.
Luxury first class seats, where you can even fly lying down, although not all airlines have them.
The majority of people prefer economy class so as not to spend extra money.
Choosing a seat on the plane
As mentioned above, the best seat for each passenger is selected individually. You can determine this for yourself by carefully reading this article. To better understand what we are talking about, below is a diagram of the aircraft interior.
Unsuccessful options
Let's start by identifying inconvenient places during the flight. Seats in the middle of a row, with people sitting to your right and left, are uncomfortable for most. Another bad seat is the seat at the back of the plane; the last row may not have a window. There are also constant crowds of passengers waiting in line to use the toilet. A significant disadvantage for you may be the fact that at the time of distribution of food and drinks - the variety of products runs out in the rows at the back, you will not be able to choose meat, chicken or fish, you will simply be given the type of product that is left.
The bad places include the places directly above the wing, since from there you won’t see anything. Not everyone will be comfortable with the seats in the rows located in front of the emergency exit and in the last row, since they do not have the ability to recline the seat.
The most comfortable seats on an airliner
Let's go back to the tail of the plane. An important advantage is that if the aircraft is not fully loaded, you will not have neighbors, and you will fly alone in two or three seats (this will even allow you to lie down). Comfortable places include the porthole seats - you can sleep quite comfortably on them without fear of being woken up by a neighbor squeezing through your knees. You can admire the beautiful views from the window and read in excellent lighting. The advantages of aisle seats include the fact that you can stretch your legs into the aisle and get up to go to the toilet without any problems, and also be among the first at the exit. By the way, places near emergency and regular exits have increased legroom.
The best seats in terms of comfort and convenience are considered to be those in the front row. You can calmly stretch your legs, since there will only be a wall in front of you. This is very important for tall people (from 180 centimeters). There is also less shaking in the front section when the plane hits. An attractive bonus will be the right to be the first to receive food and drinks. A significant drawback for some will be the fact that there will probably be passengers with infants and children under 7 years old nearby.
Location of seats on the plane
Now that you have decided what to look for when choosing a seat for yourself, you need to be sure to find out the seat letter and row number that will suit you.
Airliners come in different sizes, which means the number of seats per row may vary. Either way, there will be aisle and window seats on every plane. You can obtain information about the layout of the aircraft you are interested in at the representative office of the carrier's airline. Quite often, schemes are published on websites on the Internet. It is important to consider that vessels of the same model do not always have the same layout. This means that the location of seats on a Transaero and Aeroflot plane will not always be the same for the same type of aircraft.
Choosing a seat depending on the size of the vehicle
When you have an airplane that you are going to fly, you can accurately understand whether the seat is located at the partition or next to the window, whether the wings will block the view.
Let's give a few examples. Let's consider the arrangement of seats on a Boeing 737 and similar aircraft, where seats in economy class are installed in 2 rows of 3 seats each. With this arrangement, the seats in the first row will be comfortable, as well as in the rows near the emergency exits - there is always enough space to stretch your legs.
The cabin is designed for long-haul flights and has several economy class cabins with 3 rows of seats arranged in a 3-4-3 configuration. And on this ship, good seats will still be in the front row and at the main or emergency exits, but it is worth noting that there are toilets located both in the front and in the rear.
How to take a chair you like
Airlines allocate seats on planes in different ways. First of all, try to find out if you can select a seat at the time of booking. This service is often provided by the airline for an additional fee. The second way to get a good seat is to ask to see the location of the seats on the plane and choose the right one if it is free.
Be sure to consider the direction of flight, as the bright rays of the sun can shine directly in your face. Decide which direction you are heading. When flying from east to west, the sun's rays will always fall on the left side, and from west to east - on the right side. When moving from north to south in the morning, the sun's rays will fall on the left, and in the evening - on the right. When flying from south to north in the morning - on the right, in the evening - on the left. And don't forget that in the Southern Hemisphere the opposite is true.
It is important to arrive at registration as early as possible after it opens. The best places go to those who arrive first.
The most popular and fullest flights are morning and evening. If you do not have any kind of time connection, then it is better to fly during the daytime, since it is during these hours that the flow of passengers is the smallest, and the seats nearby will be empty.
In recent years, airlines have been trying to simplify their system, introducing various new features in order to speed up the check-in process for flights several times. These include terminals for self-check-in at airports and the ability to check in for a flight online on the airline’s website. You should not lose sight of these technologies, since the layouts of airliner cabins, the location of seats on the plane, and already occupied seats are clearly visible on the computer screen. Using such services will save you from grueling queues and early arrival at the airport.
Thus, if you fly often, you will very soon figure out which places are better than others. Unfortunately, not all airlines have the ability to select seats in advance, so be prepared to fly in any available seat.
Pros:
They are characterized by the fact that the distance to the next row is slightly increased, which allows you to pass the flight time with greater comfort - stretch your legs, stand up if necessary, without disturbing your neighbors. Some types of aircraft do not have a row of seats in front of the emergency exit/hatch seats at all.
Minuses:
Often, airlines, for safety reasons, practice leaving these seats for people who meet the requirements of “a sound body - a sound mind” - it is assumed that in the event of an emergency evacuation such a person will not be confused, will be able to open the emergency hatch and help the staff get people out, but, Of course, not all airlines undertake such “planning”.
In this regard, passengers with children, animals and elderly people are not allowed here.
Another disadvantage is that the approach to the hatches cannot be blocked by hand luggage.
The row that is located in the section between two emergency exits also has a plus. In this case, there will be additional space in front of you.
Seats located in the front of the cabin
Pros:
Most often, food service begins from the “nose”, so the front rows offer convenience and a wide choice of drinks and food offered. As a rule, if the seat is located at the rear of the plane, then the passenger is limited in the choice of assortment (everything is sorted at the very beginning).
In addition, the first row is an excellent opportunity to be one of the first to go down the ramp.
Minuses:But there are also disadvantages here - often mounts for baby cradles are installed in the bow, and there may be passengers with small children. This does not contribute to comfort if you are going to work or relax.
Anyone who has flown near a child who does not tolerate the flight well and cries for 7 or 12 hours knows.
Places in the tail
The only significant advantage of this place is its relative safety. According to statistics from the US National Transportation Safety Board over more than 30 years, the number of surviving passengers in plane crashes, depending on where their seats were located in the aircraft cabin, is as follows:
The highest percentage of passengers who survived was in the rear section of the cabin (behind the edge of the aircraft's wing) with 69%, the section above the wing with 56% survivors, as well as in the economy class section in front of the wing. In the forward section of the cabin, where business and first class are typically seated, the average survival rate was 49%.
Since when falling from a great height, the plane falls nose first, the clearances cover the tail section least of all. This was the reason for placing the “black box” in the tail of the plane, and this also led to the opinion that this is the safest place.
In my opinion, this is more of a psychology of self-hypnosis (IMHO - there is no chance of surviving in a fallen plane from a height, no matter where the passenger is sitting), but this also has its advantages: as a rule, on not very popular flights, there are much fewer passengers, that will bother you. The same applies to passengers with children - as a rule, you won’t see them here unless it’s a charter somewhere to places of mass Russian tourism in the high season.
But the largest number of accidents often occurs during takeoff/landing, as a result of mistakes by pilots or airport staff, due to poor coverage and condition of the runway or other factors. In this case, you can be saved. Think about where the plane will hit first when landing or taking off? It seems to me that most likely the nose, accordingly, the main impact will be on the front seats, which will slightly dampen the force of the impact, then the impact will be on the middle of the cabin and on the wings, from which fuel will leak out and ignite. The shock wave will reach the rear seats with the least power, which will allow passengers to survive.
Thus, the rear seats are the safest in the cabin, since the plane takes the main impact on the nose, but again, this all depends on the situation.
Central seats on an airplane are typically located above or close to the wing, which contains aviation fuel, which can ignite in the event of a plane crash. Therefore, the most dangerous places are the seats in the middle of the aircraft cabin. If we compare the front and middle seats in terms of safety, then the number of deaths in both the front and middle seats is approximately equal.
From the point of view of the safe side - left or right, statistics give equal chances; the probability of the plane lateral roll in one direction or another during landing is the same.
This is what they mostly write on the Internet. Honestly, it’s difficult for me to judge, but in my opinion, if you are primarily concerned about your safety, then it is better to choose a place close to the emergency exit. This, in most cases, is still safer, although less convenient.
Imagine a situation where there was a plane crash, the plane was partially damaged, everyone was alive, but a fire started in the plane and the cabin was filled with black toxic smoke, from inhaling which you could die. What will happen? That's right, most likely panic, but now think about who will leave the plane first? And the first to leave will be the one who sits in the seats closest to the emergency exits, which means they will have a greater chance of escape.
For the same reason, people whose seats are located closer to the aisle are in a more advantageous situation during emergency situations
You can find out what seat will be near the emergency exit on a particular plane from the seat layout diagrams.
This is about safety, but when it comes to comfort...
It is believed that The most comfortable seat on the plane is the second to last row, on the right side of the aisle. The fact is that it is at the end of the cabin that there is the greatest likelihood of free/empty seats, and therefore it is quite possible that you will get a lot of free space by sitting on three seats at once: you can get free seats to the right and left of you, on which you can arrange not only your bags, but generally lie down and sleep
Why do you need to take seats on the right? Because air tickets are sold strictly by row (except in cases where the passenger himself requests a specific seat), rows A, B, C come first, which are located on the left side, so the likelihood of a large number of people there is higher.
After them come the right rows, D, E, F, which are usually empty when the plane is not fully loaded (this is important!!!). Well, it is clear that if the download is complete, then all the above recommendations will be meaningless.
An important advantage is safety, because it is no secret to anyone that there is simply no more secure place than the tail of the aircraft. There may also be a kitchen located close to these places (not always), and all your orders will be delivered as quickly as possible.
Why is it necessary to choose an aisle seat? In order for fewer people to show a desire to sit next to you. If you sit near the window, then nothing will prevent other passengers from sitting near you, and then all the comfort will come to naught.
But when you sit down by the aisle and place your bags on the next seat, such a sight will subconsciously be perceived by other passengers as a barrier, so the number of people wanting to sit next door will be minimal.
An even better option would be to get a pillow and a blanket immediately after landing, and lie down to sleep on two or three chairs at once, in which case it is unlikely that anyone will disturb you so that you move away and let him sit in the same row.
First row/row in front of which there are no seats
If your row is the first (this can be not only the “first row” physically, but also the first row, after another class of service, or the first row in one of the sections of the cabin, in front of which there are no seats), then a significant advantage of this arrangement is that No one will throw back their seat on you. With short row spacing in economy class, this can be very important.
Of the minuses, we note that most likely there will be a partition or a kitchen/toilet in front of you. Some passengers find it not very convenient to look at the “wall” for the entire flight. Also, there may be mounts for baby cradles in the wall. What this entails - read above.
Last row/row behind which there are no seats
Most likely, the backs of the seats in this row do not recline or are very limited in this. This happens when there is an emergency exit, toilet, kitchen, other technical room or wall behind you.
Summarize
Here, in brief, is a list of good/bad places that a traveler can expect. But it is worth noting that the internal layout of aircraft differs significantly from each other, and this factor must also be taken into account. In addition to the fact that there are 2, 3, 4 seats in a row, it is necessary to take into account the distance between the seats, the number of classes in the cabin, and other features. After all, the same company uses different types of aircraft for flights.
1. The model of the airliner, the smallest details of the comfort of the cabins (the presence of a TV, electrical sockets, spacing between rows, location of toilets) can be easily found on the airline’s website.
2. If you specifically know which seat you would like to get, you should ask this question when checking in for your flight at the airport (seats that remain unoccupied after online check-in are allocated there).
If you have no idea about the location of the seats, ask to see a diagram of the aircraft’s interior - all free seats will be highlighted in the appropriate color.
Also, when checking in at the airport, you can simply ask for a window seat, an aisle seat, etc. Usually the staff does not refuse.
3. At modern airports you can use the services of self-check-in kiosks and choose your seat. Also, this can almost always be done when registering online on the website of the airline of your choice - this will significantly save time.
The largest Russian airlines already provide this service.
The traditional check-in method is best done two hours before departure. If seats are booked this way, the first registrants have a wide choice of available seats.
4. If possible, you should use less crowded flights - in this case, the comfort of the flight will increase significantly, because (if you wish) you will even have the opportunity to sleep in three free seats; the main thing is not to forget to ask the flight attendant to bring a pillow and a blanket.
The busiest days are Sunday and Friday, with morning and evening flights. If you have time, choose Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday, midday or afternoon flights.
5. In order not to get into trouble, you should take into account the spelling of the letters indicating the seat number - they can be either Russian (1A, 1B, 1B, 1G,1D, 1E) or Latin (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E , 1F), and in certain situations, these are, as they say, two big differences that can overshadow the impression of the flight.
After all, for example, seat 1 “B” will have a different location, meaning both a chair near the aisle and in the middle of the row. This must be taken into account so as not to end up with seat 1B (which you thought was near the aisle) in a seat in the middle (since it turned out that this is not the Russian “B”, but the Latin “B”).
Also pay close attention to the letter “E”.
Therefore, it is better to choose seats with unambiguous letters: 1A is always a seat by the window, 1C will be an aisle seat in any cabin layout.
Advice. If you fly often, then you know the main stress of everyone (who does not fly in business class;) is sitting in the middle seat in a row of three seats. Knowing and understanding this phobia, you can turn it to your advantage and less often have a neighbor nearby when flying.
At check-in, if you are flying together, ask the staff to seat you in seats near the window and on the aisle. Nobody likes to sit in the middle, and unless the plane is packed to capacity, you won't have an unwanted neighbor. If you are flying solo, you can negotiate this maneuver with another person you like who, like you, is traveling solo. Or simply ask to be seated in the aisle where the window seat is available.
The only problem here is that if the plane is full, you will be separated by a stranger. All that remains is to negotiate with him so that he can move.
6. Be sure to take into account the direction of flight - with the right choice of place, the sun will not blind your eyes: East - West (the sun always shines on the left), West - East (on the right).
If there is a need to take a morning flight, the direction North - South will be pleased with the sun on the left side, and South - North - on the right.
How to avoid accidentally taking the worst seats
- Study the diagram of the airliner you will be flying on, if possible.
- Check with your airline representative if possible.
- Before the flight, decide what is more important for you - looking out the window or the ability to freely get up from your seat, for example, to the toilet
- When studying the interior layout, choose the optimal seats, guided by the same rules that we gave in this article
- Do not take seats at the very rear, close to the toilets, galley and other technical areas.
- Do not take seats in which the seats do not recline or are limited in this
- Do not take seats between emergency exits or behind which they are located.
If you still find yourself in an uncomfortable chair
If you nevertheless received a ticket for a not very convenient seat, then immediately after boarding you have a few minutes to take a more convenient free space (if there are unoccupied seats, of course). Moreover, it is better not to be shy and change seats yourself, rather than wait for the services of a flight attendant.
After the last person appears on board and the flight attendant announces “Boarding is over”, you have 5 minutes to find a comfortable free seat.
There is little time, because after the plane reaches the required speed, getting up from the passenger seat will be strictly prohibited. Well, after gaining altitude, it is likely that everything is most comfortable seats on the plane will be occupied by faster and smarter passengers. Yes, and don't worry about it. You will always have time to sit in your rightful (according to your ticket) seat.
But it’s still better to choose the most comfortable seat immediately when purchasing a ticket and checking in for the flight.
All the tips described above are suitable for standard passenger, narrow-body aircraft, such as Airbus A-319 and 320, Boeing-737, SSJ-100, Yak-40, etc., and for wide-body airliners. In addition, there are many more options to occupy a comfortable passenger seat.
I hope that these simple tips will help you fly comfortably without unnecessary stress.
Many people love to travel, preferring to choose the best airlines for themselves and their loved ones. But still, some passengers find it difficult to endure the flight. Because of this, it is extremely important to choose the right seats in the cabin. Let's look at the design nuances of one of the popular models among most airlines - the Airbus A320.
This airliner is capable of transporting passengers over the longest distances – up to 6,150 kilometers. Initially, two series of Airbus A320 were designed: 100–200 Sharklets. Both series are almost identical. But today there is only one model in operation, the one listed first. The builders refused to move forward with the second design option. Today, most people prefer to fly on board this series. Aeroflot Group offers 68 such aircraft for passengers.
The first airliner was created in 1987 and very quickly gained popularity among passengers. The plane can accommodate up to 200 people. Rossiya Airlines, part of the Aeroflot group, has several aircraft with a capacity of 168 seats.Initially, this aircraft included a sufficient number of positive aspects: convenient placement of luggage thanks to large shelves, spacious hatches for loading luggage, and a fairly spacious interior.
At the beginning of the 21st century, developers improved the model and added some useful functions for passengers. The luggage racks have become larger, the brightness of the lighting has increased - today each passenger independently controls the level of light in the cabin - and the interior has changed. The computer network system was also completely updated, and the monitors in the cabin were replaced with LCD displays. Nowadays, this airliner is very popular among passengers due to the comfortable conditions and minimal cost of the flight.
This aircraft is one of the most comfortable Airbus aircraft. Manufacturers have taken good care of the convenience of flight, quality of service and savings on tickets. But in order to choose the most comfortable seats for a comfortable flight, you should know the location of the seats on the plane. We will look at a model that belongs to Aeroflot in order to evaluate the positive aspects and identify the shortcomings of the interior of this airliner.
Seating
The arrangement of seats in the cabin is available in several options. But each is as comfortable as possible for passengers. There are rows of seats on both sides. Moreover, these aircraft models have cabins for two comfort classes. There are such variations for each of the rows:
- four seats;
- five chairs;
- six places.
Traditionally, business class seats are located at the head of the aircraft and have a 2+2 configuration. Airbus was no exception. In the design that we will consider, under the seats the first five rows were allocated with an increased level of designer comfort. Distance between seats t It's quite small, but such an opening is enough to move around calmly without disturbing your neighbor.
People purchasing tickets for the first line take into account several special nuances of this row. The developers took care of the children and attached a cradle holder to the partition. In addition, it is impossible that the backrest will recline on the traveler - after all, in front of the seats in the first line there is a pilot cabin partition. However, there are no foot steps.
The last row of business class seats is not the best choice for people who want to work or just sit in silence during a flight. The proximity of a noisy common room will not meet such expectations.
Now let's move on to the places. In the model under consideration, these are seats that are located from the sixth to twenty-fifth rows. This will require a detailed analysis, because some seats here are equipped with mobile armrests, which slightly reduce the free space for the passenger to sit. In addition, there are also improved seats - space seats. However, to travel in such a seat, the passenger undertakes to meet the requirements stated by the airline. And for these seats they usually ask for an additional payment.
Economy class cabin details
Let's move on to studying the general interior of the aircraft. The sixth line seats are behind a partition that separates both classes. Such chairs have positive and negative sides. We list these nuances as follows:
- Restrictions on seat folding. There is no way to fully recline the seat back for a comfortable rest. This inconvenience is due to the very small distance between the rows.
- Food selection. Food and drinks begin to be served from this row of places.
- Small space in front of the seat. There is enough room for a comfortable knee position, but you will not be able to fully extend your legs.
- Probability of being close to children. Holders for bassinets are attached to the partition, so it is possible that there may be passengers with babies in adjacent seats.
- Limited View. Not every person will like to look at the wall or ceiling all the time. It is advisable to choose these seats for people who plan to sleep or work during the flight.
In the seventh row of such models, seats 7B, 7C, 7D, 7E are equipped with mobile armrests. Accordingly, it is better for people with a heavy build to think about such a choice - after all, the design provides for increased seating space. The seats in the eighth and ninth rows do not provide the ability to recline the seat. The reason for this is the escape hatches located on rows 9 and 10. In this case, the seats cannot definitely be called the worst places, but still they are located next to the emergency exits, which is not very convenient for passengers.
The tenth row seats 10B, 10C, 10D, 10E are slightly more expensive than other seats located on board. These are the notorious space seats. These chairs have a full reclining function. In addition, experts find many positive aspects here. The distance between the previous row and these seats is quite large, so you can rest your feet comfortably. You won't have to disturb your neighbors to get up.
Seats 10F and 10A cannot be called the most comfortable, since they are located next to the hatch, as a result of which the seats themselves are curved. The seats are slightly skewed due to their proximity to the emergency escape hatch. But the advantage of these rows is the presence of free legroom and a full-fledged reclining function.
All seats marked B, C, D and E from rows 11 to 25 are equipped with mobile armrests. Please take this into account when checking in for your flight. Moreover, the seats located on the last line imply the inability to recline the chair. The reason for this is the close location to the partition behind which the toilets are located.
Nuances of choice
The article gallery contains photos that make it easy to determine what the Airbus A320 looks like, the interior layout (), the best seats and seats that have disadvantages. In luxury cabins, it is optimal to purchase a boarding pass for seats from the second to fourth rows. By the way, another series of airliners, which involves reducing the cabin of this class to 2 rows, takes away the opportunity to choose.
If we consider standard seats, here experts especially note places 10B, 10C, 10D, 10E. Although these seats can be called the best, there are still negative aspects: it is strictly forbidden to place luggage at the bottom of the seat, so as not to block the exit to the emergency hatches. It will be quite comfortable to travel on seats marked A and F - after all, these are the seats near the windows.
The rows near the emergency exit doors do not accommodate people with children, pets or disabled people. After all, the function of opening the hatch in an unusual situation is assigned to such passengers, so physically healthy people who are not carrying oversized luggage sit here.
Now let's move on to rating of the worst places on board. Seats 24D and 24C (in another modification they are located in row 29) are unlikely to live up to the best expectations - not every person will like to fly next to the toilet stalls. But the worst places are in the rear of the cabin. This is 25 (30) row. Firstly, this line borders the toilets. Secondly, the backs of the seats do not recline. It’s not very convenient when you want to relax, but people will pass by you all the time, and sometimes there will be quite a long line to the toilet. You will have to listen to the drain and the slamming of the door all the time. Usually, tickets for such a row are purchased when all the seats are already taken.
Other Features
As we noticed, the Airbus Industrie A320 Jet has positive and negative sides.Chairs that are located near the window are, of course, good - many people like to look at the clouds. But it is worth remembering that this is only possible in daylight and sunny weather outside. If you travel at night, you won't be able to see anything through the window.
An important advantage is that there is no need to let neighbors through. But the negative side of such places lies in the inability to leave the chair without disturbing other people. For people who plan to sleep the entire flight, these seats are suitable.
When choosing economy class seats, try to avoid the last row
The chairs that are located near the aisle are good for the convenience of leaving the place on your own. But there are also negative aspects - if your neighbor needs to go to the toilet, he will ask you to let him through. In addition, passing board workers often touch passengers occupying the seats on the outermost aisle. However, if a person is flying with a child or there is a need to visit the toilet frequently, these seats will be a good solution to the problem.
We will give some recommendations for choosing suitable places. It is best to ask an Aeroflot employee to help you choose the optimal seat according to the parameters. Another option is to print out a diagram of the interior and deliberately select a seat when the plan is in front of your eyes.
Experts consider it inappropriate to choose seats where there is no folding seat function. It is not worth buying for a number of nearby toilets or other service rooms. These simple rules help increase the comfort of your trip.

– How to feel comfortable on an airplane?
– Is it possible to sleep on a plane?
– Where are the most comfortable seats on the plane?….
Such questions arise not only among those who are going on a long trip, but also among those who fly to Europe.
I was prompted to write this article by news received via mailing from Aeroflot.
Everything written in this article will concern only passengers and the economy class cabin. Everything written in this article is just my experience.
Since I fly with small hand luggage (usually a briefcase with a laptop and tablet), I’m in no hurry to board the plane when boarding is announced.
Driven into storage? To hell with it. The main thing is not to be taken off the flight.
I will sit until the last moment in the storage tank, until they begin to close the landing sleeve.
Why am I doing this?
It's simple: I wait until the passengers are seated and upon entering the plane I will be able to see how many empty seats there are and how they are located throughout the aircraft cabin.
Accidentally get into business
After boarding the plane, sit in the empty seats in business class.
This worked for me on Alitalia and Iberia planes: having economy class tickets, I flew in business class.
But in 99% of cases this won't work.
There is a list of passengers on board and the flight attendants, checking the list, drive the “hares” out of business.
But there’s nothing wrong with that: sitting in the wrong place is not a crime.
Just silently go to economy.
One thing is bad: in economy, during your stay in business, good free places can be taken.
Emergency exit
Sit in the economy class cabin near the emergency exit.
This gives you legroom and no squealing children nearby.
For example, a good option to fly quietly for 6-8 hours is to land in the middle row of an A330 aircraft with a 2-4-2 layout.
Other options for finding comfort on long-distance overnight flights:
With the 2-4-2 layout of the A330 and if there are completely free fours, it would be good to sit in the middle seat of the middle row (if you are traveling alone), sit together and, if there are a number of free blankets, sit in two tiers: one on the floor under the seats, the other on chairs with the armrests raised.
It’s uncomfortable to sleep on doubles: you can’t fit in completely, and short people can sleep crookedly.
On B747 aircraft, the layout is 3-4-3 on the lower deck.
But sometimes economy class is located on the upper deck.
One time AirFrance flew from Havana to Paris.
I got seats in the economy comfort cabin by giving $50 to the shift supervisor when checking in for the flight.
The upstairs lounge is 3-3-3 and the window seats have a shelf that separates you from the window by 20 centimeters - it’s very convenient to put your feet up when the lights go out.
I don’t recommend it in the light because your legs become visible to the passenger in front.
On a night Transaero flight from New York to Moscow, as soon as the stewards turned off the lights and went to their seats, I, without advertising my intentions, went behind the curtain and slept in business until breakfast was announced.
Also an option.

Therefore, you must board the planes of these airlines in the front rows since you have a ticket without a seat.5 /5 ( 26

Usually, during the process of booking a ticket on the website, you are provided with a diagram of the Victory Boeing 737-800 aircraft. Available seats are indicated there, occupied chairs are marked, and prices are also written.
General rules for choosing a seat on an airplane
As a rule, people choose seats on an airplane based on individual preferences. There is no ideal seat on board that would suit absolutely every passenger's taste. Some people like to sit by the window, others by the aisle, since they don’t need to disturb anyone when getting up. For some it is important to stretch their legs forward, but for others it is important not to be disturbed by neighbors and passing passengers. Some people prefer peace and tranquility, others need company so that time passes faster during the flight while talking and having fun.
From the point of view of comfort and more legroom, the best seats on the plane are considered to be those in the very first row, since passengers sit near the exit or immediately behind the partition and there are no other seats in front of them.
From a safety point of view, the best places are considered to be those located near the emergency exits, and, oddly enough, the seats at the rear of the plane. According to statistics, the largest percentage of passengers who survived emergency situations were located in the tail of the plane.
From a comfort point of view, the most undesirable places are the seats at the very back of the plane, as this is where the vibrations are the strongest and the most crowds of people in queues for the toilet are observed there.
Seat map on the Pobeda plane
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft operated by Pobeda have only economy class. The seats are arranged in 32 rows in 2 lines on the right and left. There are 6 seats in each row - 3 seats on the right and on the left.
Toilets and kitchens are located both at the very beginning of the plane and at the tail.
When choosing a seat on a Pobeda plane, the cabin map can be very useful, especially if you are buying a ticket via phone and are asked to name the seats you want to book.

Choosing the best seat on a Pobeda plane
Seats in the 1st (A, B, C) and 2nd row (D, E, F) are quite comfortable for the flight due to the increased legroom, because there are no front rows of seats. However, passengers may experience slight discomfort due to the extra noise and fuss that can arise when queues for the toilet accumulate. Particularly inconvenient in this regard are seats C in the 1st row, seats C and D in the second row, since passing passengers can touch you with their elbows, they can lean on you, step on your foot, and so on.
Seats in rows 15 and 16 are the most comfortable and best in terms of safety. They are located at the emergency exits. Due to this, legroom is increased; there are no partitions or front row of seats in front of you.
But not all passengers may occupy these seats. The fact is that, according to safety regulations, in the event of an emergency, passengers occupying these seats are obliged to help the flight staff evacuate people. Accordingly, a number of categories of people cannot occupy these seats: pregnant women, passengers with children and animals, elderly people and people with disabilities.
Places in 31st and 32nd Some are inconvenient in terms of comfort, but are considered the best in terms of safety. These places are located next to the toilet, where there is a constant congestion of people, walking, the sound of flushing water is heard and foreign odors are felt. In addition, shaking in the turbulence zone is always felt more strongly in the tail of the aircraft.
The cost of choosing a seat on a Pobeda plane
Pobeda Airlines is a low-cost carrier with a minimum of free services on board, so even choosing the desired seat on the plane comes at an additional cost, which increases the cost of the flight. If you want to buy an air ticket as cheaply as possible, you can refuse this service. In this case, places are allocated automatically.
If you want to increase the comfort or safety of your flight, then during the booking process you can select the desired seat on board the aircraft. To do this, at the 4th step of booking you will be provided with a diagram of the Pobeda aircraft with information about free and already occupied seats.
Prices for choosing seats on the Pobeda plane:
- To choose seats in the first two rows you will have to pay an additional 599 rubles.
- Selecting seats in rows 3 to 11 will cost 349 rubles.
- Seats in rows 12 - 14 will cost quite inexpensively - only 149 rubles.
- But the seats in rows 15 – 16 are the most expensive, as they are the most comfortable and safe. Cost – 999 rubles.
- Choosing a seat in rows 17 – 30 will cost 149 rubles.
- Choosing a seat at the very rear of the plane in rows 31 - 32 costs 399 rubles, as they are considered the safest in the event of an emergency.
Is it worth using the Pobeda seat selection service?
Since the service of choosing a seat on a Pobeda plane is paid, you need to compare the price and the feasibility of paying for a particular seat.
- If you refuse the seat selection service, you can get to absolutely any place.
- It is worth competing for seats A, B, C in the 1st row, and for seats D, E, F in the 2nd row and paying extra money for them. Seats A, B, C in the 2nd row are essentially not much different from the seats in the 3rd, 4th, 5th row, but cost 599 rubles, while the 3rd row costs 349 rubles.
- Pay for the choice of a standard seat only if it is fundamentally important for you to sit by the window, or, conversely, further away from it. The minimum cost for selecting seats is 149 rubles. The best places cost more. So does it make sense to pay 149 rubles if you can get to these places for free?
- Choose seats for an additional fee if you are flying with several people and it is important for you to sit next to each other. When booking and purchasing tickets with no seat selection service, your seats may be automatically allocated at different ends of the plane, and you are not allowed to change seats with other passengers.
Thus, you need to choose your seats on the plane, paying extra money for it, wisely. When booking a ticket on the company’s website, you are offered the option for an additional fee to select the desired seat, and a diagram of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft is provided to make it easier for you to navigate prices and letter designations. Taking into account the above recommendations, prices for the service and your budget, you can continue booking without choosing a seat, or with choosing the desired seat.
