The shallowest in the world and the warmest sea in Ukraine
The Sea of Azov - Meotian Lake among the ancient Greeks, Karluk - among the Scythians, the Dark Blue Sea - among the Arabs, the Fish Sea - among the Tatar-Mongols, has been known since ancient times and does not lose popularity even now. Every year, tens of thousands of vacationers spend weekends and vacations on its coast - and this is only in domestic resorts.
The Sea of Azov is the shallowest sea in the ocean basin and the warmest in Ukraine.
The maximum depth of the reservoir does not exceed 13.5 meters, and the average is about 7.4 meters, so the sea warms up quite quickly and the water temperature near the coast is already by the middle of May often reaches mark +18°C. It is at this time that a full-fledged beach season starts in the resorts of the Sea of Azov, which usually lasts almost until the end of September. At the height of summer, the surface layer of water has a temperature of +26…+28°С, and sometimes even higher than +30°С.
The natural features of Azov made the reservoir popular among tourists. A relatively long holiday season - about five months, traditionally warm water, a gentle and smooth descent into the sea - these are the main advantages of Azov recreation.
Some of them are popularly called children's and "all-Union" health resorts in the old fashioned way, and Kirillovka has been given the official status of "Resort of State Importance".

This map shows main resort towns on the Azov coast of Ukraine and Russia. For the most relevant resorts in Ukraine on click the label will link to detailed overview with a description of the infrastructure, recreation features, photos, etc.
Sea of Azov geographically and climatically
The Sea of Azov in geography is a semi-enclosed sea of the Atlantic basin and the most continental on the planet - in terms of distance from the ocean, located within two countries - Ukraine (territorially - Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson regions, the northeastern coast of the Crimean Peninsula) and Russia (Krasnodar Territory , Rostov region).
Compared to other seas, for example, the Black (with which it is connected through the Kerch Strait - approx.), Azov is a rather small body of water: its maximum length is about 380 km, its width is about 200 km, and the total length of the coastline does not exceed 1500 km.
Most of the shores of the Sea of Azov are flat, small-shell beaches. The only exceptions are coastal hills of volcanic origin, which can be seen in the southern part of the reservoir.
The climate of the Sea of Azov it is very strongly influenced by the vast steppe massifs surrounding it from almost all sides both within Ukraine and in the Ciscaucasia and Crimea - with their characteristic low rainfall - an average of 300-500 mm per year.
Therefore, in the resorts of the Sea of Azov, rain is a rare and short-term phenomenon, as is cloudiness, especially in summer, which makes tourists very happy and creates good conditions for a beach holiday.
In summer, local circulation of air masses is established on the coast in the direction from sea to land - during the day, and from land to sea - at night. These are the well-known breezes that soften even the extreme midday heat. That is why the summer air temperature, usual for these latitudes, is +28…+30°C and peak - up to +45°C on the shores of the Sea of Azov is much easier and more comfortable than in city streets.
The resorts of Azov can boast of high solar activity - for example, in Kirillovka, the sunshine time is about 2320 hours per year, which exceeds this figure for the Crimean Yalta.
Coast Features
The coast of the Sea of Azov forms very bizarre figures and has unusual borders. Spit, which abounds in Azov, formed many estuaries and smoother along the seashore.
The coastline itself is gently sloping and smooth, however, many protruding spits give it a rugged look.
In some places steppes approach the sea, in some places the coast has steep clay slopes washed away by the sea, in some places there are swampy flat areas and, of course, in sparsely populated places you can find abundant thickets of reeds.
The forest areas practically do not border on the seashore, so the nature here is not as picturesque as, for example, in the Crimea, and at the height of summer it completely takes on the appearance of a steppe scorched by the sun. Small plantations of trees are usually either artificial plantings or profusely overgrown shrubs.
Webcams on the coast
You can see the landscape of the beach area of the Sea of Azov with your own eyes with the help of webcams installed on the coast. For example, below is a webcam located on the Peresyp spit in the Zaporozhye region.
fishing
As noted above, the Sea of Azov is warm and shallow. It was these conditions that provided him at one time with a fairly active reproduction of flora and fauna. In terms of the number of plant and animal organisms, Azov was the world leader, and the fish productivity of the sea (the ratio of the total number of fish and the area of the reservoir) was 40 times higher than the corresponding indicator of the Black Sea and more than 6 times that of the Caspian Sea.
Until recently, the Sea of Azov was considered an inexhaustible storehouse for fishing - industrial, amateur, sports. Gobies, flounder, beluga, sturgeon, spike, stellate sturgeon, ram, herring - all this was far from a complete list of gifts from the deep sea.
But due to the consumer attitude to the sea, the population of many fish species has decreased, and some have even added to the list of endangered ones. so that despite the good natural conditions, Azov today is systematically losing the glory of the most “fishy” sea.
Today, in the Kirillovka area, in fact, only the Azov goby or, in some cases, the pilengas remained the subject of real fishing.
Recreational effect and health improvement
The coast of the Sea of Azov is not only a popular holiday destination, but also an effective aero-ionic health resort, working through a combination of healing factors created by nature itself.
The air near Azov is a kind of cocktail, which is saturated iodine, bromine, minerals and trace elements- due to active evaporation of water from the surface of the sea and estuaries and phytoncides brought by winds from the steppe massifs.
Provided that there are no industrial enterprises and highways with busy traffic in the district, such a mix can have a general healing effect and alleviate conditions with acute respiratory viral infections, chronic diseases of the upper respiratory tract and allergic reactions.
Azov sea water is also unique in many respects in its composition. It contains over 90 chemical elements that have a beneficial effect on the human body. The bottom layer has deposits of healing sulfide silt mud formed during the decay of marine flora and fauna. Due to the shallow depth of Azov, even a slight wave at sea turns water into a mud suspension, and sea bathing turns into a wellness procedure, indicated for diseases of the skin, musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular and nervous systems.
By the way, there is also useless, and often harmful to health, mud in the sea - it is enough off the coast of industrial cities and ports.
Useful dirt is found not only in the sea, but also in estuaries- salty bays, which are in sufficient quantity in the Azov basin.
The mud of estuaries is the basis for the functioning balneological clinics located in Kirillovka, Berdyansk and other resorts on the Sea of Azov - both in Ukraine and in Russia. In these institutions, vacationers, or rather, patients, can be offered treatment that can improve metabolism, correct and stabilize the state of the peripheral nervous system, alleviate asthma and chronic respiratory diseases, after injuries and exacerbations of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, get rid of gynecological and urological problems.
Holidays with children on the Sea of Azov
A children's resort - this is how almost every Azov region can be characterized. On the coast of the Sea of Azov, the main conditions for the implementation of a proper holiday with children are met:
Mild climate, lack of acclimatization
The weather in the Azov resorts is sunny days, a sea breeze that softens the summer heat and a breeze that constantly brings new portions of phytoncides from the steppes and iodine and bromine ions from the sea to the coast.
Unlike a trip to the Mediterranean coast and the same South Coast, those who came to Azov actually do not go through an acclimatization period, unless, of course, they are residents of the far north. That is why holidays on the Sea of Azov in resorts remote from industry can be useful for children of almost any age, up to newborns.

Warm water, smooth descent into the sea
As mentioned above, Azov is a shallow sea, so sea water has a comfortable temperature for swimming already in May, and in summer the water is “like fresh milk”, which is very suitable for babies sitting in the sea for hours. In addition, in most Azov resorts there is a sandy coastal strip that does not injure children's legs, and the deepening of the sea is gradual - somewhere more dynamic, somewhere less, but without underwater pits and sharp cliffs.
Habitual foods
An important aspect for those who take their children on vacation and make sure that the vacation passes without unpleasant reactions to food that is unfamiliar, not specific to our latitudes. Plus - here you can buy seasonal vegetables and fruits grown in the Azov settlements, the use of which can replenish the vitamin supply of children and increase immunity.
Pricing policy of Azov resorts
It is well known that in most Azov resorts you can find almost any number- from economy option no amenities to premium or VIP-class accommodation, respectively, the price of rest can differ significantly.
In addition, the cost of consistent rooms can be enough different depending on the region. The Azov coast is characterized by a division into inexpensive and expensive resorts.
The main factors for such pricing are the popularity, the "hype" of recreation, the development of infrastructure, the availability of entertainment facilities and the convenience of transfer.
"Inexpensive" vacation
Inexpensive to relax on the Sea of Azov within the framework of Ukraine, for example, in Stepanovka Pervaya, Primorsk, Primorsky Posad - without any special requests for leisure activities.
These resorts are purely beach and practically devoid of infrastructure and entertainment.
Rest of the middle price category
The most popular resort of the Ukrainian Sea of Azov is Kirillovka, which has all the conditions for tourists not to get bored - a large water park, a dolphinarium, an equestrian theater, an amusement park, a sufficient number of nightclubs, discos, and cafes.
Since the high demand for vacations leads to higher prices, Kirillovka in this regard has been holding the lead among the Ukrainian resorts of the Sea of Azov for many years.
Melekino
The resort village 35 kilometers from Mariupol is also questionable in terms of the ecological cleanliness of the coast, as it is located close to the city and industrial giants.
The advantages of Melekino include the proximity of housing to the beaches.
Sedovo
The village is located 55 kilometers from Mariupol on the Crooked Spit. Small in area, it has about thirty boarding houses, recreation centers and hotels and has a reputation as a relatively clean region, due to its remoteness from large cities and industrial facilities.
Most of the holiday homes in Sedovo are located 20-100 meters from the sea.
The main feature of the resort is rather narrow beaches.
Shelkino and Cape Kazantip
The city on the northeastern coast of Crimea, built to service a nuclear power plant that has never been launched, has the glory of a youth party resort.
The Republic of KaZantip or the Republic of Z is an electronic music festival, which until recently took place on the territory of an unfinished nuclear reactor - the main attraction of the region.
In addition to fans of non-stop partying, Cape Kazantip was a haven for windsurfers who took part in the annual competition for the Russian Funboard Association (RFA) federation cup.
Resorts on the Russian coast
And now briefly, but in detail, we will talk about the resorts located on the Russian coast of the Sea of Azov.
Taganrog
The resort town in the Rostov region, founded by Peter the Great in 1698, is included in the list of historical cities of Russia.
Taganrog is a seaport and industrial center of southern Russia with large metallurgical and machine-building industries.
There is actually no point in talking about any environmental friendliness of the resort.
First of all, tourists here may be interested in a well-developed infrastructure, historical sights and cultural sites.
Yeysk
The city on the Sea of Azov in the Krasnodar Territory is located between the Taganrog Bay and the Yeysk Estuary, at the base of the Yeysk Spit.
Unlike Taganrog, there are no very large industrial facilities in the city, but there are plenty of attractions and entertainment.
The most popular among tourists is the Yeisk Spit, on which there are the largest beaches, sanatoriums, recreation centers, cafes and restaurants.

No less popular is the Kupechesky district, which attracts tourists with its ancient architecture and the Taganrog embankment, which is considered the heart of the resort.
Yeysk has an operating port and a railway, which add convenience in terms of transfer, but negatively affect the ecological state of recreation.
Primorsko-Akhtarsk
The resort is located on the Akhtar Bay in the northwestern part of the Krasnodar Territory.
Among the listed Russian recreations, Primorsko-Akhtarsk can be called the most environmentally friendly.
The main industrial load here is taken by canning mini-fish factories, there are no large industrial facilities in the resort, and the railway station is unlikely to cause too much damage to the purity of air and water.
The disadvantages of recreation include a rather modest offer of housing in the resort and an underdeveloped infrastructure.
Taman Peninsula
The Krasnodar resort region is unique not only because it is washed by two seas - Azov and Black, but also the presence of volcanoes, spewing mud - active, extinct and dormant.

The largest and most famous among them are Akhtanizovskaya and Karabetova hills, Hephaestus volcano.

The pearl of Taman is the local "Switzerland", a protected area with wild vegetation, which is very suitable for lovers of secluded relaxation in the bosom of nature.
Due to its shallow depth and relatively small size, the Sea of Azov warms up beautifully with the first rays of the sun in spring and is already available for swimming in April. This significantly increases the holiday season, and in May there are already quite a few who want to get a golden southern tan. When planning your upcoming vacation, you need to have a good idea of what awaits at a particular resort. As the map of the coast of the Sea of Azov in Russia shows, the length of the domestic coastline stretched for 250 kilometers. Such a climate is very favorable for the cores and those suffering from respiratory diseases. It cannot be said that there are no rains during the summer, but they are so fleeting and warm like in summer that they are not able to spoil the holiday mood. Coast of Azov, map for tourists
How best to relax on the coast of the Sea of Azov map to help tourists
A vacation by the sea always seems like a fairy tale, but it can bring a lot of headaches when it comes to the questions “where”, “how long” and “how much”. In order not to think about such problems, it is necessary to have information about the region where you want to soak up the sun.
The Sea of Azov from the side of Taganrog and Kuban stretches for 250 km, another 200 km belong to the Crimea. This huge area is simply “stuffed” with a large number of resort towns and places for recreation, and there are several reasons for this: the shallow depth of the reservoir allows the sun to warm the water well, hot steppe air reigns around, and the swimming season is long.
In order for the rest to work out, it is necessary to clearly set yourself the goal of the trip before leaving. If you are traveling with children, then you should choose a locality with amusement parks and a developed medical infrastructure. If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city, then a small village with private houses is an option for you.
Many people go to the seaside to treat some health problem. The air here is saturated with salts and some other elements, which helps fight allergies, coastal mud is great for problem skin, and iodine-rich water and soil are indicated for people with a sick thyroid gland.
As you can see, there are many possibilities forcoast of the Sea of Azov and without a map for recreation really not enough. Let's go through the most popular options.
You can also ask a question by filling out this form:
Rest on the Sea of Azov in the private sector If you are one of those people who want to forget about the urban noise and the flow of people even for a moment, thenHolidays on the Sea of Azov in 2019 private sector: all the nuances
Remember that such recreation has both its pros and cons. The first ones are:
- lower cost, you do not overpay for the "name" of the hotel and the number of its stars;
- you can choose an absolutely personal option in the most comfortable and quiet place;
- rest mode is determined only by you;
- you can find a private house in a beautiful "non-promotional" place where crowds of tourists do not scurry about.
There are a number of downsides to this approach:
- you will have to be responsible for your own life, that is, cook, clean, buy;
- compared with the same hotels, there are no standards for this type of property, so there is a risk of not finding a quality home;
- if recreation centers and sanatoriums often have their own beach, then in the case of private real estate this is a rarity.
If the cons do not stop you, then you should look in small villages such as Ilyich, Kuchugury, Priazovsky, Krugloye, the villages of Taman or Golubitskaya. In such settlements there is a rather large private quarter, and taking into account the fact that they are constantly on the lips of tourists, the owners try to keep the quality bar high in order to subsequently rent out houses for good money.
An additional benefit of searching in these settlements is thatrest on the Sea of Azov in 2019 in the private sector we cannot imagine without normal infrastructure. Therefore, in such popular places among travelers there are shops, cafes, attractions. There are plenty of hotels, so if you get tired of your house, you can easily change the location (if, of course, there are free rooms).
If you use "personalities", then Golubitskaya is suitable for those who want to improve their health, because there are many sanatoriums in it. Taman is ideal for those who want peace, sea and interesting architecture. So, in it you can find the Church of the Intercession, the first in the Kuban, the only Turkish wells of its kind in Russia, the Lermontov house-museum, the Finagoria fortress. The situation is similar with Krugly, near which there are several dozen ancient mounds. As you can see, small towns have a lot to offer even to capricious tourists, especially for intimate family travelers.
Holidays on the coast
Sea of Azov Resorts
Not everyone likes small villages, someone likes to feel the holiday atmosphere around them. Thankfully it's aroundSea of Azovscattered a large numberresort towns
where life pulses all night long. WITHYeysk is probably the most popular. It has a large number of sanatoriums, especially many that deal with respiratory diseases.
Yeysk
But it is famous not only for medical institutions: many recreation centers, cinemas, cafes and restaurants. At its core, Yeysk is a tourist city with a developed infrastructure that is not inferior to Turkish or Thai competitors. Like most of the best Azov holiday destinations, it is located on the Taman Peninsula and is in contact with the warm waters of the Yeysk Bay, which explains the excellent climatic conditions in the summer in the village.
Shchelkino
SCH yolkino is a town in the Crimean part of the Azov region with a large number of boarding houses and a beautiful sandy beach. Its superiority can be considered its location on the Kerch Peninsula, where the waters always warm up well, and the air is rich in salt.
Primorsko-Akhtarsk
Primorsko-Akhtarsk is also famous for its natural conditions. Firstly, it is located near the Khan Lake and several other reservoirs of this type. They are rich in salt, isolated from the sea and very useful if you have breathing problems. Secondly, this city is located between the Taman and Taganrog regions, which is why many people never come here and a quiet atmosphere always prevails.
Azov
Azov and the Pavlo-Ochakovskaya Spit, which is located nearby, are also quite famous among our fellow citizens. The latter is an alluvial shell-sand natural formation with a large number of well-maintained beaches. There is a highway connecting Azov and Yeysk nearby, so getting here is quite easy, and if you have nowhere to put your car, then paid parking is at your service.

Nature and excursions
It is generally accepted that natural beauty is not the strong point of the Sea of Azov. Steppes dominate among the landscapes, the vegetation is rather poor, because the hot air leaves little moisture for it. We want to assure you that the situation is not quite like this.. Of course, most resorts located near the beaches, where there is no place for dense forests, however, the entire Krasnodar Territory and Crimea are famous for beautiful places.
If you do not belong to a cohort of people who are ready to spend all 10 or 14 days of vacation in only one location, then the Sea of Azov will satisfy your tastes. There is a whole scattering of interesting places:
- Salt Lake, famous for its waters;
- Tuzla Spit;
- waterfalls in the Dzhegosh gorge;
- springs of St. Barbara;
- many places where wine is made;
- Tiger and Gentle caves.
All of the above facilities are located in the Krasnodar region. There are even more of them in the Crimea: starting with the mountains and ending with the famous Crimean braids.
If you are more into urban motifs and architecture, then there are options here too. For example, you can visit Krasnodar - the administrative center of the region of the same name, or glorious Rostov-on-Don. Crimea is famous for its architecture and cities: Evpatoria, Sevastopol, Yalta, Bakhchisaray. And if you are closer to the southern edges of our homeland, then from the Sea of Azov it is easy to get to Sochi and wander along their embankment.
It is not necessary to buy a tour in advance (although this is welcome), because on the spot you can find many offers from local travel companies.
Rest on the Azov coast
Service Level
There is a myth that infrastructure and quality services are not about the Russian Azov region. Perhaps years 15 ago it was true, but now local camp sites and hotels are focused on creating competition for other markets, in particular Turkish firms.
If we take examples, then in the city of Yeysk there are two cinemas, many cafes and restaurants, water parks, an amusement park. You can find both a cheap house and a room in an expensive hotel. The beaches near such buildings are additionally controlled; you can find sun loungers, umbrellas, beach cafes on them. Everywhere there is a patrol and doctors.
Changes in small settlements did not pass by either. For example, large hotels have also been built in the village of Golubitskaya, there is a whole scattering of modern sanatoriums.

For some reason, many guests of the peninsula, who came from abroad and Russia, associate the Crimean coast exclusively with the Black Sea coast. But Crimea is washed by two seas. Rest on Azov, for example, for certain categories of tourists is preferable to the Black Sea, and its economic importance is great.

As the map shows, in the north it washes Ukraine - Mariupol, Berdyansk and Primorsk; in the west - Ukrainian Genichesk and Arabatka; in the southwest - Crimea, together with a part and Shchelkino; in the southeast - the Taman Peninsula (Russia); in the east -; in the northeast - the Rostov region with the largest port in Taganrog. The Sea of Azov belongs to the Atlantic Ocean basin, however, it is remote from it. The Don and Kuban rivers flow into it, as well as many other small rivers.
Origin. Depths and dimensions of the sea
The Sea of Azov (like the Black Sea and a number of others) is a remnant of the ancient Tethys Ocean. Changes in the relief of the earth's surface due to the movement of tectonic plates and volcanism led to the retreat of water. As a result, it rose from the bottom, and the oceanic formation turned into a cluster of huge reservoirs.
The map of the surroundings does not allow you to understand this immediately, but the Sea of Azov is a geographical champion in several indicators. It is the smallest on the planet - it is twice as large as even the Aral Sea, which acts as an ordinary salt lake. Azov is also the shallowest - the average depth is less than 8 m, and the maximum depth is 13.5 m. Finally, it is more distant from the ocean than others, and for this reason it has a minimum salinity.
The origin of its name is not precisely established, and there are so many versions that one can get confused. The descriptions of the reservoir were already made by the ancient Greeks, and the first maps of it began to be compiled by the medieval colonizers of the Crimea - the Genoese.
The total area of the water surface of the sea is 37,800 sq. km, and the length of the coastline is 1472 km. The bottom relief is almost even, with two minor underwater ridges; almost half of the perimeter falls on a dive of less than 10 m. There are islands and spits here - they are slightly less than 108 square meters. km. We are talking about the Arabat Spit and the island of Tuzla with the spit of the same name, where the Crimean bridge now passes. The part is also called the shallow silty, often referred to as the Rotten Sea.
The Kerch Strait connects the Sea of Azov with the Black Sea, making it an important transport route not only for Russia. On the coast there are such significant ports as the Ukrainian Mariupol and the Russian Taganrog. Oil fields are being developed in the water area.
The Sea of Azov has low salinity due to the many flowing into it. On average, this figure is 10 ppm, but the level is very heterogeneous - from almost complete desalination near the mouth of the Don to 11.5 units at the entrance to. It also fluctuates significantly depending on the flow of river sources, and also due to the regulation of large rivers (the construction of canals and power plants). In recent years, there has been a trend towards an increase in the salt content in water.
Due to the shallowness of the Sea of Azov, it warms up quickly, as well as cools down. The swimming season in it begins at and continues until the middle, and in the high season the water temperature reaches +28 degrees. But it often freezes, especially off the coast, which greatly complicates navigation. Summer weather here is usually sunny, moderately hot, but in winter there are quite strong storms, especially closer to the strait.
Flora and fauna of the Sea of Azov
The Sea of Azov is relatively poor in flora and fauna. In total, scientists count about 200 varieties of living organisms in it (for comparison, in the Black Sea this figure is 1500, but it is still considered “lifeless”). However, among them there are numerous and important for humans, and a small biological diversity sometimes turns into a practical convenience.
In recent seasons, transparent aurelia and bluish-purple cornerots have begun to appear en masse near the beach areas. Scientists attribute the increase in their number to an increase in salinity levels. It is only poisonous, but it is not dangerous for human life.
The coast is mostly flat, the mountains begin only near the strait, to the south. The landscape of the area is steppe. Accordingly, the vegetation is represented by steppe species. In the Crimean Sea of Azov, wild ones are not uncommon. There are many cereals and spring flowering plants. The fauna is relatively poor, represented mainly by birds, rodents and insects. Poisonous and are found, and the latter should be feared more - they are difficult to notice.
Tourists in Russia, as well as foreigners who value camping in deserted places, should take into account the peculiarities of nature - firewood, drink and a canopy for shade will have to be brought with them.
Crimean resorts on the Sea of Azov and beaches
On the Crimean coast of the Sea of Azov there are resorts recommended primarily for families with children. Here are the reasons:
- a slight depression and a gentle entrance, safe for non-swimmers;
- high water temperature, excluding colds;
- sandy edges where it is fun to play and walking is good for health;
- favorable;
- lack of noisy entertainment infrastructure and entertainment, ambiguous for children's perception.
On the equipped beaches of the Sea of Azov, nudists and other representatives of alternative cultures are rarely seen. They do not interfere with adults, but they are undesirable for relaxing with a child. The Kazantip festival, which had a dubious reputation, moved from the Azov coast long ago. Beach activities are also more designed for children - slides, boats, bananas.
Adults will undoubtedly appreciate the rest on the Sea of Azov. True, it is not suitable for lovers of secular parties who do not think of a vacation without noisy discos and - all this should be looked for on the South Coast. The infrastructure of the resorts is quite modest, but the prices here are noticeably lower.
And the most important plus of the area is the huge area of beaches, having a couple of tens of meters in width and kilometers in length. The existing number of local residents and vacationers is hopelessly not enough to turn these open spaces into a "seal rookery".
There are many in the Sea of Azov and where you can stay with a tent away from everyone. In most cases, even in unkempt areas, algae are not found, with the exception of.
Sometimes it is possible to combine an ordinary beach holiday with mineral mud therapy or some water. For such a vacation, the village of Kurortnoye (salty is located nearby) and Arabatka are suitable. With a reasonable approach, mud procedures are useful and.
Where is the best place to relax on the Sea of Azov? The city of Shchelkino and the villages on the shores of the Kazantip Bay (Zolotoye) are especially well known. There are other villages popular with holidaymakers - Yurkino,. All of them are suitable for a relaxing pastime with children. Often, families choose the Arabat arrow or.
Kerch is rarely considered as a resort city (although this opinion is not entirely true), and it can only be considered an Azov city with a stretch.
Although the entertainment infrastructure near the Sea of Azov in Crimea is poorly developed, when compared with the Black Sea, an active and inquisitive person will not be bored on vacation. from the settlements of the coastline, trips to Kerch are in the first position, which radically differs from the offers of other regions of Taurida (tourist bureaus offer this direction infrequently there). Worth taking advantage of -
a former extremely interesting city, it has, on.
The Sea of Azov should also be recommended to lovers of fishing. Sea fishing (usually from a boat or boat) is the most popular entertainment here, and the waters are rich in fish species, willingly going even to simple bait. In some places it is also caught from the shore. If one of the tourists does not have their own gear and watercraft, the Crimeans will be happy to provide him with everything he needs for a modest reward, and they will show him a catchy place.
In recent years, the Sea of Azov has begun to attract all stripes. We can recommend beginners to train here (it is known, after all, the waves are smaller, the smaller the pond).
But what is problematic to do in Azov is this. Due to the sandy bottom, the water in it is muddy and visibility is very limited. Therefore, divers here concentrate only in the area where there are more stones. Near the sandy beaches and spit it is almost impossible to see anything in the kingdom of Neptune, and the bottom life there is poor.
Energetic, young vacationers often find a vacation on the Sea of Azov "boring". They are wrong - and surfing is designed just for sports people. But the glory of the children's resort went to this coast of the Crimea is not in vain. In conclusion - an interesting video review, enjoy watching!
