Reviews from tourists about the ski resort Levi Finland
Reviews about holidays in Levi are mostly positive. The beauty of nature and the opportunity to ride until the end of spring have an impact. The only thing tourists complain about when they go skiing here in winter is the short daylight hours, lasting only 3 hours, as well as strong wind and cold, and sometimes fog.
Tourists note that the ski slopes in Levi are short, but the holiday is better organized than in popular Alpine resorts. Prices for accommodation and food are high. You will also have to pay a lot for training with an instructor, but you will be able to ride on your own in just a few days.
According to reviews, at the beginning of the season only the main descent is open, since there are still few tourists. It is better to first look at the webcams to understand the level of snow cover on the slopes.

Winter in Levi
The year-round ski resort Levi is located in Finland, in western Lapland. This place was named the best Finnish resort three times. And this is because it has a special atmosphere and stands out strongly among its comrades.
Levi is similar to alpine bases with a compact structure and a well-developed system of organization. Among the ski resorts in Finland, only Levi has a gondola cable car at its disposal. It's called "Levi Gondola 2000". International slalom World Cup sports competitions are held here.
A powerful complex of trails, expanding every year, occupies all the slopes of the peak of Levi (“Levitunturi”). The descents start from an open mountain peak and wind through magical pine forests.
Location and climate
Levi is located in the village of Sirkka, Kittilä community, Lapland province.
The position in the Arctic determines the prevalence of low temperatures. The table shows the average temperatures in Levi and the amount of precipitation by season.

Ski infrastructure Levi
Description of the slopes
Front slopes.
This area has the widest pistes, which are mostly red. They are quite difficult for beginners.
At the lower station of the Front Slopes there is a comfortable indoor travel lift.
The upper platform of the slopes (where you get to by gondola mechanism) is equipped with a disc lift. The Kids Land children's area has its own ski lift.
The North chair goes to the top of the Front Slopes, and the Express gondola goes to the Levi Summit congress hall.
Other slopes can be accessed by lift No. 3.
On the Front Slopes there is a Street zone where you can practice stunts.
A ski-bus runs here and stops at Zero Point.
Southern slopes.
This area is mainly for slightly more experienced hikers. On the sunny Southern slopes - the longest in Levi, it is convenient to “pump up” your skills.
There is a brand new 6-seater recliner with heated seats.
Also, tourists with children can use the travel path and the Southern Saucer Lift.
Ski-bus stops at the points with lifts No. 10 and No. 11, and there are parking lots. Here you can watch the training of sports clubs and teams.
Zone "Gondola 2000".
Stages of alpine skiing championship competitions take place on the Levi Black slope. The World Cup for giant slalom - "World Cup Levi" - is also held here.
Next to lift No. 13 there is a snowpark with structures that are more complicated than in the Front Slopes area. Some films were filmed here.
Lift No. 12 takes you to the top of Mount Levi. There is also a 14th lift located on the green transition route.
The ski-bus stops at the equipment rental store. There are also large car parks here.
South-eastern slopes.
The local routes are similar to those in the South. Beginners will feel comfortable here. The slopes of the South-Eastern zone are recommended for family skiing and beginners.
Lift No. 7 is the border between the complex and simple parts of the slope. The upper part is complicated, and the lower part is comfortable and wide. Parking is also available here. Ski passes have been on sale since mid-February.
North-Eastern slopes.
Carving skiing techniques are perfected on the slopes of the North-Eastern region. The slopes here are wide, among them there is a new one - the “Off-Piste” track.
It is easier to maneuver and take turns without reducing speed here than on the tracks of other zones. Ski-bus picks up passengers at the rental point.
Ski school.
People come here for skiing and snowboarding skills - skiing, carving, cross-country skiing and telemark. Training is available to tourists of any age. Children from 4 to 6 years old are taught in the Lastenmaa children's area (“Sonera Kid’s land”).
Virgin snow is available in the areas between ski lifts No. 5 and No. 6, No. 10 and No. 11. This territory is usually explored by extreme sports enthusiasts who know a lot about the business and have some experience.
Trail information and guide.
Tourists purchase booklets, various maps and guidebooks at the “Levi Tourist Information” - Tourist Information Center. His address is Myllyjoentie 2.

Of course, how can one not look at the Lapland symbol – deer. Their farms can be visited by arrangement or with a tour group.
Arriving in Lapland, tourists, especially families, strive for one thing: to visit Santa Claus.
In Levi you can go on a sled to his workshop or to his dacha. And believe me: the holiday will be fantastically magical not only for the children, but also for their parents.
The resort has provided grace for gourmet tourists: there are 54 food places. Of these, 8 restaurants and cafes are on the slopes. There are also those on their list that work on a personal order.
On a note!
The ski center has a huge selection of accommodation facilities for guests. It can accommodate about 24,000 tourists at the same time.
