Where is zoran tosic. Zoran Tosic can move to the Tula Arsenal, Turkey or the UAE. Wernbloom is a striker? he can’t, he will imagine himself the best player in the world
Zoran Tosic is a young, promising football player who today defends the honor of PFC CSKA and his native Serbian team.
Childhood, youth
The future famous football player was born in Yugoslavia, in the city of Zrenjanin, in 1987, on April 28th. He started his playing career not quite at a young age. From the age of 17 to 19, he played for a football club called Proleter Zrenjanin. For him, the Serb played seven matches. He immediately took the position of a winger, but, being part of his first club, he did not score goals. Then he played for FC Banat Zrenjanin for another year. As part of this team, he played 32 games and scored two goals. Performances for this club brought popularity and recognition to the young footballer. As a result, Zoran Tosic received an invitation from the professional club "Partizan", with which he signed a contract for 4 years. True, he stayed there only until 2009.
England and Germany
In 2008, Zoran Tosic, along with his teammate from Partizan, Adem Ljajic, moved to Manchester United. It was a big breakthrough in the careers of two Serbian football players. In 2008, at the end of November, Zoran Tosic received permission to work in England, and more than a month later (January 2, 2009) the transfer took place. Things were not going so well with his teammate Adem: he did not manage to arrange everything so quickly. While Tosic was already in full training with the English and even occasionally went on the field, Ljajic was just finishing up with paperwork and moving to another country.
Serb took the “United” number 14 and began to play in the position of midfielder. True, Tosic did not stay in England, because the German “Cologne” became interested in him. Representatives of the club offered the British a good amount and appropriate conditions, so in 2010, on January 29, the Serb moved to Germany before the end of the current season.
Moving to Moscow
The club in which the Serb decided to stay for a long time is CSKA Moscow. Football player Zoran Tosic signed a contract with the “soldiers” in 2010 and still defends the colors of the team. The midfielder cost the Muscovites £8 million.
The footballer's career started in Moscow extremely successfully - with a goal against Anji and an assist in the same game. He scored the second ball into the opponent's goal 4 days after his debut, and it was a match against Anorthosis. So in the Europa League, the midfielder also showed himself well. By the way, in that match Zoran scored the second goal, thus scoring a double. Game after game, the newcomer to CSKA became the leader of the team, gaining the respect of both teammates and fans.
Zoran Tosic, whose photo shows us a young and strong footballer, also performed well in the next season, opening him with a goal against the Portuguese Porto in the Europa League. True, the Muscovites lost the game to their opponents with a score of 1:2.
In general, Yugoslav has shown good results in all seasons. True, in 2012/13 he was injured - a fifth fracture. But when he returned, he began to score again. So, for example, he scored three goals against Krasnodar, scoring a hat-trick. He was repeatedly recognized as the best player of the match and the team as a whole. And in 2014, Tosic was awarded the title of the best football player in Serbia at home.
Career in the national team and interesting facts
The midfielder also performed well in the national team. Zoran Tosic, whose biography is replete with various interesting facts, with the national team in 2007 became the silver champion of Europe. He is also a two-time Champion of Russia and the owner of the Cup and Super Cup of the Country (also 2 times). With "Manchester United" Tosic was the winner in the Premier League and the League Cup.
As for his personal life, the football player is currently divorced. The ex-wife's name is Diana, and Zoran has two children from her. In addition to Serbian, Tosic knows Russian very well, plus, due to his “European” past, he speaks a little English and German. Friends and teammates characterize Zoran as a calm, family and ambitious person who is not inclined at all.
And Tosic is a very non-standard football player. He has a great left footed shot, masterful dribbling and high speed. Many compare his game with the legendary Arjen Robben. Tosic is easy to score and provide assists.
It remains to wish the talented footballer success in his career and good luck in the new championships.
Four months have already passed since the midfielder, who gave the army team seven years, left the club and moved to his native Partizan. In an exclusive interview with SE, the midfielder spoke about the level of the Serbian championship, shared his expectations from the upcoming derby with Lokomotiv and spoke about the circumstances of leaving the red-blue.
I FEEL AT HOME IN PARTIZAN FROM THE FIRST DAY
- Zoran, with a winning beautiful goal from a free kick in the Europa League. Are you a full-time standards performer at Partizan?
- Yes Wherever I played, I always took free kicks. You yourself know that when he played for CSKA, he often hit from positions for a left-footed football player. Nothing has changed in Partizan either.
- Thanks to the victory over Skenderbeu (2: 0), your team took second place in the Europa League group. How do you rate the chances of reaching the playoffs?
“We've made a good move. In the next match, you need to defeat the Young Boys to advance from the group. I hope it works.
- Several months have passed since you moved to Partizan. Already played with partners?
- Partizan is the only club after CSKA where I immediately felt at home. To be honest, that's why I chose this team. From the first day there was a feeling as if he had never left here. Therefore, everything is fine.
- Did you feel that you found a second youth in the team?
- Yes, and the first did not lose! ( laughing). I feel great, I have not noticed any changes in myself. Perhaps, it seemed to many that he had lost his form in CSKA. But it so happened that recently he rarely appeared on the field. With the advent of Gancharenko, the tactics changed, the position of the winger disappeared. Unfortunately, he simply did not fall under the new scheme, that's all. And in Partizan I was returned to my native flank, where I played all my life, and then the result returned.
- Does the level of the Serbian championship differ from the Russian one?
- There is a difference. Yours is stronger than Serbian. We have only two teams that constantly win - Partizan and Red Star. Everyone else is unable to compete with these clubs. You have five or six teams fighting for the first place every year, and it's much more interesting.
But lately the Serbian championship has improved a lot. This is shown by the results in European competition. Look, Crvena played a draw with London's Arsenal on the road. We are applying for an exit from the group. So it's not all bad.
WERNBLUM IS A FORWARD? HE CANNOT, HE WILL IMAGINE HIMSELF THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD!
- Continue to follow CSKA?
- Certainly. I try to watch every game. If not possible, then I will definitely find out the result. I root for the red-blues, I wish them success and victories in the Premier League and the Champions League.
- Do you communicate with someone from the army?
- Yes I keep in touch with many. I spent so many years in CSKA, this is not forgotten.
- Your friend Georgy Milanov rarely appears on the field lately. Have you discussed this topic with him?
- It's a pity that he now has such a position in the team, he is upset. But Milanov also became a victim of tactics, almost does not get a chance. I hope that George will not lose heart and still prove himself.
- Milanov's contract with CSKA ends in the summer of 2018. Not planning to change the team for match practice?
- Heard that his agreement is expiring. But we did not discuss this topic.
- How do you like the last meeting of the army with Basel?
- Dzagoev is a great fellow, he returned and immediately turned the game around. And Pontus again demonstrated his mighty blow. CSKA never gives up, and the home defeat against Basel only got the guys going. I am sure that they can go further in the Champions League.
- CSKA forwards rarely score lately. Maybe, Wernbloom is it worth returning to its historical position?
- Pontus will cope in place of the forward. Only this will raise his self-esteem too much, he will imagine himself the best football player in the world! laughing) Let them score better on holidays, but all goals will be important.
If we talk about attackers, we can see a small crisis. But this is an accident, there are moments. And Vitinho and the rest of the young guys will overcome everything soon, I'm sure. It's just such an unfortunate period, it happens.
“Recent results have left much to be desired. After such an emotional victory, will they improve?
- Sure that the coaching staff squeezes the maximum out of the players. CSKA has not had transfers for so many years, and the team is still afloat. The guys try and give their best in every match, it shows. Yes, failures happen. But army men never give up, I know that. This is the trick of the team - to get together when it has already been written off.

"GOLDEN" GOAL "LOCOMOTIVE" - THE MOST IMPORTANT IN CAREER
- Ahead of CSKA is the most important match with "Locomotive". In the first round, the army team lost at home 1:3. Do you think there is a chance to avenge that defeat?
- I remember that we have always played well with Loko. I'm sure it will be the same this time. It's a pity that we lost in the first round. After all, it was a match at which he said goodbye to the fans.
- For many, the first place of Lokomotiv according to the results of the circle was a surprise.
- The railway workers have always claimed the championship, they were very close to the first line. But when the championship came to an end, they began to lag behind us, Zenit and Spartak. I don’t know how it will turn out this season. But it is clear that the team has added.
— You played 13 matches against Loko and scored five goals. What is the secret of success?
- You're right , these games with me have always worked out. There is a special mood at the derby, a great desire to win. And there is no special secret. I just wanted to help my club.
- Is the golden goal for Lokomotiv in 2014 the most important in your career?
- Think , Yes. That ball brought us such a tough championship. I will remember him for the rest of my life.
- You remembered that you said goodbye to CSKA fans at the match against Loko. Do you miss them?
- Very. To be honest, I always thought that I would end my career at CSKA. But it didn't work out. It's a pity that I no longer play for the army.
- It's been four months since you left CSKA. Is there any resentment towards the management that your contract was never renewed?
We just didn't agree. We did not have time to find understanding and our paths diverged. They wrote a lot about the fact that I did not agree to a pay cut and therefore left. It is not true! The question of money was not at all. And there are no resentments against the leadership of CSKA and never will be. We remained on friendly terms. As I said, I just didn't fit into the team's new game model.
Yesterday, 30-year-old Serbian midfielder Zoran Tosic announced his departure from CSKA. We are sad together with the fans of the army team and share a common thought: the time has really come to part.
The departure of such bright legionnaires - real professionals, extraordinary performers with a twist and just open and pleasant people in communication - always makes me sad. Tosic has become a landmark figure for CSKA in recent years, took part in all the successes of the second championship wave of the 2010s, scored one of the golden balls with his magic left, and a couple of years ago it was difficult to imagine the main team without him.
Now, the news about the Serb's departure caused an attack of slight nostalgia among the fans: “Zoran, thanks for everything!”, And not angry or confused: “How is it that we are going to do now ?!”. Everyone was ready for such a decision, and even last season it became obvious that from a sports point of view, CSKA would lose almost nothing in such a development of events.
We are talking about the main statistical indicators: goals and assists, where there is a negative trend (“1 + 5” in the 2016/17 championship, “4 + 5” in the 2015/16 championship, “7 + 4” - in the championship-2014/15, "11 + 4" - in the championship-2013/14), and many additional ones.
For example, Tosic became one and a half times less likely to succeed in dribbling - according to WhoScored, only 0.8 successful attempts on average per 90 minutes (it is incorrect to consider the average data per match, since Zoran often went out for short-term substitutions in the spring), while in previous seasons, spectacularity the stroke was 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. The Serbian midfielder also began to hit the target less (0.7 times in 90 minutes in the last championship - against 0.9, 0.9 and 1.5 in the previous three), more often make mistakes in passes (78 percent accuracy against 81.7 , 81.1 and 81.1).
Of course, much here can be attributed to the changed position of the player on the field (we will talk about it a little later), but even visually Zoran did not look as explosive during the matches as before. Until now, before my eyes an episode from the last derby, when he could not oppose anything on a long dash, Promes easily sped off and hit the post. On the one hand, very few people in Russia will catch up with the Dutchman. But, firstly, Quincy ran with the ball, and secondly, Tosic then came on as a substitute at half-time and was objectively fresher.
However, there is nothing supernatural in the fact that at the age of 30, and even with slipping muscle problems, speed and mobility gradually leave a football player.
Luckily, Tosic avoided serious injuries that could last months or even years, but he can’t call himself a perfectly healthy football player with all his desire. Last season alone, he had five muscle injuries: in August, September, November, January (at the training camp) and April. It seems that it’s okay, every time the Serb dropped out for a week or two and quickly returned, but constant hits in the infirmary prevented him from being consistently in optimal shape.
Zoran is just from the category of players who can help the team only when they are in excellent condition. Feats like Doumbia, able to not train for a month, and then go out on one leg and score a decisive goal in the Champions League, Tosic was not observed.
Tosic was the perfect winger in Leonid Slutsky's tactical schemes. That asymmetric flank game, where the movement went on rails on the left, and on the right Zoran moved to the center under a blow or a short pass with partners and freed up the zone for the frisky Mario Fernandez, fascinated and was one of the most effective and unpredictable weapons in the Premier League.
But Viktor Goncharenko is building a new CSKA, and Tosic did not find a stable place in his 3-5-2. The Serbian football player was tried in the main problematic position of the left lateral, where immediately after the winter break he went out from the first minutes in matches with Tomyu, Terek and Krylya Sovetov. Not to say that he completely failed, because the army team won, and Zoran himself collected rebounds, usefully dispersed counterattacks, carried out sheds. But there was no continuation of the practice, Goncharenko began to try Shchennikov and Nababkin, then even reached Golovin, and it became clear that the coaching staff in this role needed a player with other parameters: more tenacious in the selection, more "voluminous" and, in the end, more stable. Like Mario Fernandez.
Was there any other place for Tosic in this model? In the center of the field, where versatility is needed, all competitors look preferable. One of two forwards? Probably not the best either. Most likely, in the new CSKA, the Serb would finally turn into a substitute, who would enter the field in the attack group or on the flank in order to plug the hole that had formed.
Money in this case is also far from the last issue, if not one of the key ones. We all know very well that CSKA knows how to appreciate people who have done a lot of useful things for the club, and often try to keep them in the team, even when they can no longer bring as much value on the field as before. The reasons lie in the microclimate, which you really don’t want to break, and one of the clear examples is the extension of the contract in November 2015 with Tsauney, who by that time had long ceased to enter the field.
We were ready to keep Tosic in CSKA, but on different financial terms. Firstly, the term of the new contract would be one year (“We do not offer an agreement for a longer period in such cases, the standard story,” General Director Roman Babaev said in a recent interview), and secondly, wages would also change significantly ( “We are not all getting younger, everything is objective here,” Babaev added).
Serbian midfielder Zoran Tosic was born on April 28, 1987 and began his football career in his hometown of Zrenjanin: his first teams were Proleter, and a little later Banat. In 2007, Tosic signed a contract with Partizan Belgrade and already in the first year of his stay in the team he helped black and white win the championship. Thanks to an excellent game, Zoran almost immediately got into the pencil of the scouts of many European teams, among which was Manchester United. The interest of the Mancunians turned out to be substantive: in the fall of 2008, the club ensured that Zoran was issued a work permit in the UK, and in January 2009 Tosic officially moved to Old Trafford.
In the face of a tough struggle for a place in the squad (one of Zoran's direct competitors was Cristiano Ronaldo), it was difficult for the young Serb to prove himself, but later he repeatedly stated that the Manchester stage of his career gave him a lot as a football player. “Working side by side with the best players in Europe was very important for my professional growth,” Zoran recalled in an interview for PFC CSKA's official Red-Blue Tribune magazine. “With the same Ronaldo, we spent a lot of time together after training, fulfilled the standards, and I learned everything from him - not only football things, but also how to behave off the field.”
In January 2010, Tosic went on loan to the German Cologne, during which he was already closely watched by PFC CSKA breeders. In the same summer, the army club makes an offer to Manchester United, after which Tosic agrees with the red-blue terms of a personal contract. Zoran's debut falls on the main football derby of the country. In the away match with Spartak, the Serbian spends more than an hour on the field and helps the army team achieve an important victory - 2:1.
Zoran Tosic is able to act equally productively on any of the brows. Over the years of performances, the winger of PFC CSKA has become one of the symbols of our club. Fans remember well a number of his great goals: Real Madrid in the 1/8 finals of the Champions League in 2012, a series of goals against Spartak Moscow, a hat-trick against Krasnodar in the fall of 2013, and, of course, , the “golden” goal for Lokomotiv, which decided the fate of the 2013/14 championship.
Tosic has two victories in the championship and the Cup of Russia, and also won the Super Cup of the country with our club.
Curious fact
According to the results of 2014, Zoran Tosic was recognized as the best football player in Serbia according to the sports publication Sportski Žurnal.
