What entertainment is there in Nha Trang? Nha Trang: paradise on Earth with its attractions, entertainment and delicious food Types of Nha Trang
There is a resort town in Vietnam - Nha Trang. It fascinates with the beauty of its landscapes, which are so beautiful that they make your heart skip a beat.
Walking through all the sights of this city will be a great solution. Read on to find out what to see and what attractions of Nha Trang are best to visit.
Bajo Falls
The sound of water and peace, what could be better for relaxation. Bajo Falls will be happy to welcome you. They are located just north of Nha Trang in the tropical forest. As many as three waterfalls and a lake that remained untouched. The only thing people have left in this place are signs so that tourists don’t get lost.
A walk along the waterfalls will be a bit of a challenge for tourists who are not very active. After all, to look at the very first waterfall from the entrance you will have to walk about 30 minutes. And the next waterfalls require even more effort, because you have to climb over rocks. But the effort spent on overcoming the path is worth what you see. To get to the Bajo waterfalls you will need to travel 40 minutes, during which you will be delighted with beautiful views from the window of the vehicle.
In this video, the guys from the “Without Registration” channel talk in detail about how to get to the waterfall and show what it looks like.
Rock garden
Another beautiful natural place is the rock garden at Cape Hon Chong. The shore is strewn with stones of different sizes, which create a spectacular backdrop for photographs. There, in souvenir shops you can buy a picture collected from stones from that shore. Here you can admire not only the stones, but also the view of the sea.
Islands
They need to be given special attention. There are not many of them here, but each is unique in its own way. You can go on a general tour of the southern islands, or you can explore each one on your own.
Orchid Island
Wildlife that you can literally touch. Animals living on this island are not shy about begging tourists for food. For the excursion group, trainers organize performances with the participation of bears and elephants. Here you can sunbathe on the island’s beaches and swim in the pleasant water. And after swimming, you can look into the garden, where orchids bloom all year round. The tropical forest landscape of this island is filled with waterfalls.
The price for an excursion to the islands of orchids and monkeys will cost $25.
Monkey Island
The name of the island speaks for itself, as more than 1,500 monkeys live there. On beautiful shores with blue waters they play without hiding. And their leader is a handsome and muscular king, who arouses the interest of every visiting tourist. But not everyone can take a photo with him. It is not so easy to catch this person, because he hides and hides from prying human eyes. Going to such an interesting place with a child would be a good decision.
How to get there?
To get to this wonder of the island you will need a bus number 3 or number 1, which will take you to the port. Next, transfer to the ferry, which will transport one person to the other side for 6.5 dollars.
Next is Hon Mun Island
The water here is crystal clear, but, unfortunately, it is not always like that there. Only in summer, spring and dry season. The rest of the time, due to rain and other weather conditions, the water begins to become cloudy. This place has a very interesting underwater world. And for convenience, there is also a diving school, so anyone can dive into the sea world with scuba diving. You can get to this place either independently or in a group.
Beaches of Nha Trang
In addition to the beautiful islands, the surroundings of Nha Trang have beaches. There are so many of them here that you can find the perfect one for yourself.
For lovers of noisy companies and fun times, Chan Phu Beach is ideal. And for a calm and secluded holiday, the remote Jungle Beach is more suitable.
Zoklet (Doklet) is considered the best beach in Nha Trang. For beautiful views of the sea. You can also be in relative solitude here. Not far from the beach there are salt mounds. Otherwise, this place is called the Khon Khoi salt fields. People here collect salt by hand.
Temples
Now a little about the buildings that have a cult character. Buildings in the name of religion.
Long Son and Big Buddha
And the first place worth visiting is Long Son Pagoda. Or Long Son is one of the free attractions in Nha Trang. If you suddenly want to walk through the halls of this temple, you will need to follow a certain dress code: covered shoulders and knees.
The pagoda is located near the busy streets of the city center, but it does an excellent job of maintaining the atmosphere of light.
Near this temple you can find a staircase (total number of steps 155) that will lead you to the big Buddha. He sits on a pedestal in the lotus position. His whole posture speaks of the nirvana that he was able to achieve. The statue was of impressive size. 21 meters high, and this is just the Buddha statue, and another 7 meters is the lotus throne.
All this was built in 1963. And behind it is a bas-relief of Buddha's followers. You can’t help but look at such a miracle, and it’s free too.
Buses number 1,2,6 will help you get to the weather. If you inform your conductor, he will not let you miss the right stop.
Remote Chua Suoi Do Pagoda
Unlike the previous temple, this one is located on the top of a mountain. It was built in the name of the goddess of mercy Quan Am. Now he is over 50 years old. To get to know it better you will have to climb up on foot, because public transport does not go that far. But those lucky ones who can overcome this difficult path will be able to enjoy views that can take your breath away. Sui Do Temple can be included in the list of the most beautiful places in Nha Trang. From its height, a panorama of rice fields and tropical forests opens up. And the atmosphere of the temple itself is conducive to meditation. In addition to the temple itself, at this height you will come across a natural pool and just a huge number of trees.
The last place created for spiritual purposes is the Po Nagar towers. Very ancient buildings, perhaps the oldest in Nha Trang. They were built between the 8th and 13th centuries. The largest tower is 23 meters, and it is called Cham. At the top of this tower there is a statue of the god Shiva riding a buffalo. Nearby are statues of various talismans: goats, elephants and others. The outer part is decorated with stone sculptures. You can find dancers and hunters here, as well as rowers. These towers are still used for religious festivals and sometimes ceremonies. Folk dances are held on significant and large-scale events. Buses number 4 and 6 go here. If you tell the conductor where you are going, he will warn you about the stop you need.
Mud baths
Having listed all the natural attractions, let’s move on to places of relaxation.
I-Resort
When talking about Nha Trang, one cannot fail to mention this mud bath. Large area and huge selection of spa services. You can relax in this place, even if the weather seems unfavorable. Because the spa complex has its own artificial sand beach near the pool. Such an imitation can completely replace a real beach. Visiting rates start at $6.
You can get to it by taxi or bike. The mud bath also has its own transfer.
Thap-ba
In this place you can touch the word luxury and drown in it. The spa has not only relaxing properties, but also healing ones.
The cheapest service package is $8. This package includes: 15-minute mud bath, 30-minute relaxation in mineral waters and hydrotherapy.
And if you want to fully immerse yourself in luxurious life, then there are VIP rooms with their own indoor pools. It is better to come to this complex in the morning, since in the afternoon not only tourists, but also the residents of this city themselves come here.
The spa complex provides its own shuttle service. Or you can use a taxi or bike. There is a budget option. Take bus number 4 to the Cham towers, and then walk about 2.5 km.
Arriving at holiday in Vietnam, first of all, it comes to mind Nha Trang, as the most popular city- resort in Vietnam. City Nha Trang, by Vietnamese standards, is quite small, “only” 390 thousand people.
The city itself Nha Trang received a second life in 2013, when active development of the city with new hotel complexes began and multimillion-dollar cash injections from foreign investors began flowing here. Until this moment, Nha Trang was a large fishing village, without active tourism development.
Although even in ancient times Nha Trang beaches became known throughout Vietnam- as the best places for rest of emperors and their close associates.
Nowadays, tourists can no longer be surprised by the presence of a good beach - now “bread and circuses” must be present in a resort town.
What entertainment is there in Nha Trang
In this article we will try to figure out what entertainment is there in Nha Trang and how an ordinary tourist can find them.
Restaurants and cafes
Most of all, in Nha Trang there are restaurants and various cafes. Sometimes you get the feeling that all tourists come to Nha Trang only to satisfy their gastronomic cravings.
Nha Trang restaurants will be discussed in the next article, so we will not go deeper into the topic, but will just highlight the main, most interesting cafes and restaurants of the city: La Mancha(Spanish restaurant with an exciting evening program), Louisiane Brewhouse(excellent restaurant on the seashore with its own brewery), Alpaca(a cozy, lamp-lit restaurant with a homely atmosphere and chic coffee).
The Vietnamese themselves, by the way, also like to eat in cafes so as not to cook at home, but they prefer small, open, roadside cafes, with plastic chairs and tables.
And the Vietnamese are madly fond of drinking coffee, which is why in Nha Trang, on almost every corner there are cafes with unpronounceable and unmemorable Vietnamese names. In other words, not a single tourist has the slightest chance of leaving Nha Trang hungry! :)
Diving and snorkeling
In Vietnam, diving is considered one of the cheapest in the world, so if you have a long-standing dream of scuba diving, then this desire may well come true in Nha Trang.
The main thing is that the weather is good, not stormy, and then visibility will be excellent. The best place for diving is considered to be around Moon Island, and for snorkeling - the southern side of Hon Che Island (the island where Winpearl is located).
The price for two dives starts from $70 if you already have a PADI certificate and $85 if you do not. The place from where all the boats with divers sail is the South Port, which is located right next to the Oceanographic Museum.
The most famous and long-lasting players in the field of diving in Nha Trang are: Amigos divers And Fun divers. Both agencies are located on the third line of the European Quarter, opposite the Camellia Hotel.
It is best to buy dives from Russian-speaking guides, which are the companies listed above, so that the instructions before the dive are as clear as possible.
The most complete and most accessible instructions are still provided by the guys from Fun divers(by the way, tourists can use exclusive 7% discount, calling code word Alphaviet when purchasing a tour from the guys from Fun divers), after such instruction, even for people without any experience at all, all questions will disappear and their dives will be as interesting and understandable as possible.
In the vicinity of Moon Island, there is a lot to see: there are colorful corals, numerous exotic fish and other attributes of an excellent underwater holiday.
SPA salons in Nha Trang
Vietnam, like any other Asian country, has always been famous for its high-quality therapeutic massages. In Nha Trang, massage parlors are found on every corner; the number of them is off the charts and exceeds all possible standards.
It is quite possible that there is not a single tourist who, by some miracle, would not go for a Vietnamese massage in Nha Trang. But how to choose a good massage parlor from such abundance and variety?!
In this matter, you need to be as focused as possible and try to take seriously the choice of a massage parlor in Nha Trang, since, first of all, your health is at stake.
The main deception lies in the famous MASSAGE FOR THE BLIND. The legendary massage of the blind really exists in Vietnam, but schools for this type of massage are located exclusively in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, and the students of these schools live and work only in these cities.
There is NOT a single certified massage center for the blind in Nha Trang, so immediately cut off massage parlors with similar names.
Also, in Nha Trang there are quite a few massage parlors with a dubious reputation - these are places where, in addition to massage, compassionate Vietnamese masseuses will offer you additional services for money that are not directly related to massage.
Such massage parlors can be easily identified by the appearance of the masseuses themselves - they will be in very short skirts. Another problem with massage parlors in Nha Trang is theft.
You need to learn once and for all that you should never take large money or valuables with you to a massage. This rule, of course, does not apply to all massage parlors, but nevertheless.
And even if you were able to find a more or less acceptable massage parlor in Nha Trang, this does not mean that you were able to get rid of the main problem - incompetent masseuses. It just so happens that a variety of Vietnamese from different parts of the country come to Nha Trang to work.
Naturally, not all of them will have certificates of completion of studies in the relevant educational institutions where they teach different types of massage.
Therefore, in many massage parlors in Nha Trang, massage is done incorrectly, and there are also frequent cases when masseuses talk on the phone or to each other during a massage, or generally go about their own business at the same time.
Also, the main drawback of most massage parlors in Nha Trang is dirty massage tables and the same towels. Agree, it’s a dubious pleasure to lie in the dirt and inhale “Vietnamese aromas.”
“WHAT TO DO IN THIS CASE” - you ask?
Especially for you, we have compiled a small rating of the best massage parlors in Nha Trang with an unblemished reputation: Tropic Spa(located on the third street of the European quarter, opposite the store MoonMilk), Sen Spa(located in the market area Cho Dam, near the hotel TTC, ex. Michelia), and Manu Spa with Russian staff (located near the hotel Poseidon, between the second and third streets of the European quarter).
In particular, I would like to highlight the massage parlor Tropic Spa– it is in this place that before the massage you will be given a foot bath with ginger and lemon, and after the massage they will wipe you with hot towels and treat you with a special powder so that you will in no case slip somewhere on the street after the massage.
IN Tropic Spa Masseuses work only with special education in this field, they have all the necessary documents and certificates, and this massage salon is always clean and tidy.
Also, you can use exclusive discount to visit a massage parlor Tropic Spa at 5%, for this you need to give the code word at the reception Alphaviet and enjoy any type of massage at a discount.
Mud springs
Within the city of Nha Trang there are three places where you can relax your soul and body, and even get some treatment. The farthest resort from the center of Nha Trang is a park 100 Egs.
Is it close to the hotel Diamond Bay resort and occupies an impressive territory. Inside the park it is very green and there are places to take a walk: a rope park, a mini-zoo and the territory of the mud bath itself. Prices: above average.
In the area of the Cham Towers of Ponagar, in the north of Nha Trang, immediately behind the second bridge over the Kai River, there is another mud bath Thap Ba- This is the oldest establishment of its kind in the city, but the cheapest.
I-resort is located approximately in the same place as Thap Ba, but you need to enter the territory of this mud bath in another place, in the Northern Market area. I-resort- the newest mud baths, divided into several zones: from economy to super VIP, here you can find herbal baths, a small water park, which is perfect for children, many swimming pools with mineral water, and, of course, the mud baths themselves.
Entrance fee I-resort starts from 150,000 VND per person (depending on what additional treatments you want to attend on the territory of the mud bath).
It is best to get to all of the above-mentioned mud baths by taxi, or from some hotels in Nha Trang you can get to the mud baths by a free shuttle - check the information at the reception of your hotel.
In addition to all the above-mentioned mud baths, there is another establishment of a similar type in Nha Trang, it is located in the very center of the city, on the territory of the hotel Galina (Galina mud bath & spa), however, there is no need to talk about a large green area with many pools here, but there are mud baths and quite affordable prices.
Night clubs
In Nha Trang, as in the rest of Vietnam, all establishments close quite early, and the Vietnamese themselves prefer to go to bed early in order to get up at dawn and have time to do exercises near the sea.
The Vietnamese have become accustomed to this way of life for many years, and even with the advent of the 21st century, they have not changed at all. But, nevertheless, this does not mean at all that there is no nightlife in Nha Trang.
Yes, this very “nightlife” is not in full swing, as, for example, in Thai Pattaya, but still some establishments in Nha Trang are open until two or three in the morning. The most popular nightclub in Nha Trang is Zima(located on the embankment, directly opposite the hotel Havana).
IN Zima club you will be able to have a blast in the company of visiting tourists and local Russians to club hits and an incendiary show from professional go-go dancers.
But not just one club Zima Nha Trang is one - you can always visit similar establishments at home, but the following establishment is simply a must-visit - Skylight(located right on the roof of the hotel Havana, the elevator to the roof is located on the left side of the entrance at the very end of the corridor.
Entrance fee: VND 150,000). IN Skylight It’s only worth going for one reason - the fantastic view that opens from above is mesmerizing and attracts attention.
From a bird's eye view, you look at Nha Trang at night in a completely different way - as if this is not Vietnam at all, but some Miami or Dubai. The next nightclub opened quite recently in Nha Trang, but has already managed to loudly make itself known and attract attention.
This nightclub is called The Rabbit Hole and is located right in the restaurant Story on the embankment (Gorky Park). Resident DJs from other countries perform at this nightclub every weekend, and the powerful sound will make even the dead dance :).
The Rabbit Hole divided into several convenient zones where different music can be played simultaneously! Entrance to this establishment costs from 100,000 VND which is used as a deposit for the bar.
Well, the last establishment in our rating is a small bar-nightclub Rooftop, which is located on the 5th floor of the restaurant Yens, in the European quarter. This nightclub is quite small in size, but nevertheless amazes with its unobtrusive, almost “homey” and friendly atmosphere.
Rooftop– a favorite place for foreigners. I would also like to highlight a few places that do not deserve to be called a nightclub, but nevertheless, they work until late and are always pleasant to visit, both for tourists and locals.
Hookah bars The Temple And The Cloud are located close to each other, in the hotel area Chelsea and Rooftop nightclub respectively. The hookahs in these establishments are always at the highest level, the accompanying drinks and the atmosphere are also at the same level, and The Cloud The kitchen is also wonderful.
Leisure
In Nha Trang, you can not only lie on the beach and wander through restaurants in search of cheap seafood. In Nha Trang, you can easily engage in active recreation and even learn how to ride a board or kite.
Surf schools are located on the famous Bai Dai beach, which is located between Cam Ranh airport and the serpentine leading to Nha Trang.
In this area there are always bigger waves and there are all the necessary conditions for riding a board in the sea. As for kiting, this entertainment can always be found in windy weather on the main beach of Nha Trang in the area Sailing club.
In order to get on the board, you can use the services of the following companies: Advaita, CoCo surf, The Shak surf school and many other companies in Nha Trang.
Also, canyoning tours are regularly organized from Nha Trang (Ba Ho waterfalls near Nha Trang and Datan La waterfall in the vicinity of Dalat) and excellent ATV tours towards Hon Ba Mountain and Alexander Ersin's dacha.
If you are interested in any entertainment in Nha Trang or have questions about organizing a holiday in Nha Trang, we will always be happy to answer your questions!
Alexey Bessmertny
Not spending a lot of money when traveling is our main rule. If we can go somewhere on our own and not pay intermediaries, we will certainly do so. And with the amount saved we can go to a restaurant or spend the money on a new trip. Today everything is about what you can see and where to go in Vietnamese Nha Trang on your own. How much does it cost, how to get there, as well as a traditional map with marks on the area.
Sights of Nha Trang
Nha Trang is a compact town, but rich in entertainment. Even if you go there for 2-3 weeks, there will still be something to do. Let's start with the attractions within the city. All photos open in large size when clicked.
Cham Towers Po Nagar (Po Nagar Cham Towers)
This amazing and mystical place is located across the bridge on the outskirts of the city. It is very easy to get here from the center of Nha Trang by taxi for only 40-60 thousand dong ($2-3).
You can not depend on anyone at all, rent a motorbike and go see the towers on your own.
The Cham towers are over a thousand years old, but they are surprisingly well preserved. The red brick temple complex is located on Mount Cu Lao. From here you have an amazing view of Nha Trang and the sea.
Opening hours, entrance ticket price:
Visitors are allowed to the towers from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The entrance ticket costs 21 thousand dong ($1). Another few thousand will need to be paid for parking the bike.
More photos and our reviews from the visit are in a separate post.
Long Son Pagoda
A large Buddhist temple on the outskirts of Nha Trang. Its main highlight is the large statue of Buddha sitting on a lotus and the breathtaking views of Nha Trang from the mountain. It is better to come here in the late afternoon, when there are no tourists. It will not be so hot to go up, you will lose your vigilance, and you will be able to see the sunset over Nha Trang.
Opening hours and entrance ticket prices:
From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., admission is free (don’t pay attention to scammers who may ask you to pay for climbing the stairs).
Tri Nguyen Aquarium
This aquarium is famous for its unusual appearance. It's a little like, just as surreal, as if from a parallel universe. It can only be reached by sea. But don't worry about how to do it. A visit to the Tri Nguyen Aquarium is included in the excursion to the southern islands. Entry into the aquarium costs 50 thousand dong ($2.5).
Islands of monkeys, deer, orchids (Northern Islands of Nha Trang)
You can also organize an excursion to the northern islands near Nha Trang on your own. To do this, you need to rent a bike and drive 18 km north from the city to the boat station. From that pier, boats depart every half hour to three islands: Monkey Island, Orchid Island and Deer Island. You can take a tour to three islands at once, or you can take a ride only to Monkey Island and go further to Bajo Falls. A transfer to Monkey Island costs 70 thousand dong ($6.5) round trip. To the orchid island - 100 thousand dong ($5). If you plan to visit three islands at once, then it is cheaper to buy a tour from the Vietnamese in Nha Trang for 350 thousand dong ($18). It turns out that they will pick you up for free and take you to the pier.
More details about our trip to the island in a separate post: there are a lot of photos, as well as tips on how to communicate with macaques in order to remain safe and sound.
Ba Ho Waterfall
This is a unique place north of Nha Trang and just 7 km from the boat station where excursions to the northern islands depart. Large boulders, several waterfalls, jungle and wild animals all around. Wear comfortable sneakers or closed sandals; you will have to do a lot of rock climbing.
It is better to go to Bajo Falls in dry weather, as after rain the stones can be wet and dangerous. Bring swimsuits, plenty of water and food as... The path to the waterfalls is not close, and there will be no cafes along the road.
Entrance fee to the park with Baho waterfalls is 15 thousand dong ($0.75) per person. If you haven’t spent time visiting Monkey Island before, you can look nearby for the picturesque Doc Let beach or go look at the salt fields.
If you have a little more time in Nha Trang, be sure to go to. This is an amazingly beautiful town in the mountains, 3-4 hours drive from Nha Trang. It is better to stay in Dalat for 2-3 days in order to have time to see the waterfalls in the vicinity of the city, Buddhist temples, Crazy House, Bao Dai palaces and much more.
And for those who want to go a little beyond the standard tourist routes, I would advise you to go, where locals still catch wild elephants in the jungle and tame them. A special adventure is an elephant ride across Lac Lake.

Vinpearl Amusement Park
Of all the attractions in Nha Trang, if there is one place that everyone should definitely visit, it is the entertainment island of Vinpearl.
Vinpearl Amusement Park welcomes millions of tourists every year. Vinpearl itself is a complex of various attractions. We worship the four deities of Po Nagar
The Cham Towers of Po Nagar are another popular attraction that you can see in Nha Trang on your own. Of the 8 legendary Po Nagar towers, only 4 have survived to this day, but seeing such a miracle up close is worth a lot. The age of the buildings is very ancient; it is not for nothing that the towers rightfully occupy 1st place in the register of historical relics of Vietnam.
The history of the Principality of Champa goes back to the 7th century. During the heyday of this medieval Cham family, unusual towers dedicated to the Hindu religion were erected.
You can come to the temple complex in any clothes, but you can enter the temple only in the appropriate form: barefoot, with your head uncovered, with your shoulders and knees covered. But don’t worry about your appearance, you will be given a free robe at the entrance.
The powerful architectural monument looks majestic, especially the tallest tower, erected in honor of the Mother Queen and the 10-armed goddess Uma crowning its top.
The unique Cham Po Nagar towers leave an indelible impression and are full of special energy that makes you think about the history of not only Vietnam, but the entire earthly civilization.

Museums in Nha Trang
If you don't know what to do in Nha Trang when it rains, then I want to bring to your attention 3 interesting museums that will not make you yawn. You can find all the mentioned Nha Trang museums on the map.
Museum of Impressions
The Museum of Impressions in Nha Trang is an old restored four-story Vietnamese-Chinese house with a very authentic flavor. There are many exhibits and installations with which you can take illusion photographs. In one room you will walk on the ceiling, in another you will turn into a pretty Vietnamese girl, you can feed fish and turtles, walk along a steep bridge over an abyss and much more in the same spirit.
Now a few words about the sad. Many of the museum's exhibits are old and shabby, the rooms are small and very stuffy. Air conditioning is only on the second floor. You can also have a delicious meal in the cafe there. Reviews about the Nha Trang interactive museum are very varied: some like it, others can’t wait to run away.
How to get there: You can get to the interactive museum by a free bus from the Russian Information Center. You will be taken back in the same way.
The gallery is open from 9:00 to 21:00, located at: Buu Đoa – 10
Silk gallery
Another way to keep yourself busy during the rain in Nha Trang is to visit the local silk museum. Here you will find many silk products and paintings that seem to glow from within due to the smoothness of the silk thread. By and large, the silk museum in Nha Trang is a store where you can come, look at the exhibits, learn the history of the shop, see how silk products are made and buy something for yourself. The entrance is free.
The gallery is open from 7.30 to 22 hours.
You will find her by the address: 64 Tran Phu

Oceanographic Museum of Nha Trang
The Oceanographic Museum in Nha Trang is a pleasant annex to the Institute of Oceanography, founded in 1922. It was recognized as the first Scientific Research Center of Vietnam.
The building is old and, like any institute, is poorly funded. This is noticeable in the persistent Soviet spirit and time-worn exhibits and old aquariums with green water.
Here you will see small sharks, deadly puffer fish, lionfish, crabs and a lot of other colorful fish. Particularly impressive is the skeleton of a humpback whale (3 m high and 26 m long), which the Vietnamese reverence as a sacred animal. When a whale washes up on the shore, it is buried in the ground for several years, after which the skeleton is taken out and a temple is built in its honor. You can learn this and other interesting stories about fish if you take a guide.
Many people love the museum at the Institute of Oceanography in Nha Trang for the beautiful view it offers of the port and the cable car to Vinpearl. Many people come here when it rains in Nha Trang and there is nothing to do.
How to get to the Oceanographic Museum: take bus number 4 to Vinpearl, which is nearby.
Address: 1 Cau Da, Nha Trang, Vietnam
Admission ticket: 20-40,000 dong depending on the season.
Alexandre Yersin Museum
Alexander Yersin (in various sources Yersin) is a microbiologist. He came to Vietnam in his youth to treat horses, and remained to live in the country. This man identified the microbe that causes bubonic plague.
Currently, Dr. Yersin's library and his office have been turned into a popular museum. By and large, if you don’t know French and have little interest in science, then you won’t be very interested. There are Yersin's personal belongings here: letters, microscopes, test tubes, books and photographs.
It’s worth coming here if you want to take a look at the life of the great scientist. And the place where the museum is located is very beautiful.
The museum is located at: 8 - 10 Tran Phu St | In the Pasteur Institute
You can get there by taxi or by bike. The road itself is worth a lot. Imagine 30 km on an asphalt road in the middle of an impassable jungle. The Legacy of the Fisherman Le Caen
In 1971, a simple fisherman living on one of the islands near Nha Trang picked up a shovel and dug a pond. In the resulting pond, he began collecting a natural aquarium of exotic marine life. From this idea the famous Nha Trang Aquarium - Chi Nguyen, which is stunning with its appearance alone.
A whole line of associations immediately appeared in my head: The Flying Dutchman, Pirates of the Caribbean, novels by Jules Verne and other maritime legends. The Vietnamese nicknamed the giant aquarium " Neptune's Palace“, and we spent almost 3 hours admiring the magnificent collection of fish and marveling at the wild imagination of the architects: unusual, picturesque and very colorful.
How to get to the Chi Nguyen Island Aquarium on your own: rent a boat at the pier for $25 (round trip). Or you can visit the aquarium as part of a standard tour of the southern islands.
Admission ticket: 90,000 VND + if you want to visit the beach, 3 dollars for entrance and sunbed.
Here you can buy a large bag of food for 20,000 VND and feed local fish and giant turtles from a fishing rod. Many people like the Navy SEAL Show. I recommend visiting this attraction of Nha Trang with children, they will be delighted.
Mud baths of Nha Trang
Nha Trang is famous for its mud baths and spas. The most popular of them are: 100 eggs, Thap Ba and IResort hot springs.
100 eggs of Nha Trang: a love story between a dragon and a miracle bird
The good-natured people of Vietnam are very fond of fairy tales. One of the old legends was told to us at the moment when we declared a “day of spa tenderness” for ourselves.
Five years ago, the newest spa resort was opened on a vast area of more than 20 hectares. The complex gathered on its square: a greenhouse of lush Asian vegetation, houses and enclosures for animals, a Vietnamese village stylized as old oriental settlements, a beautiful temple, observation rooms for lovers of outlandish landscapes.
The sign says: “100 Egg Mud Bath”; it got its name in honor of the story about the passionate love of a dragon for a strange bird. The fruit of the legendary passion was 100 eggs, and from them 100 peoples of Vietnam were born.
Prices from 6 to 25 dollars depending on the range of services.
How to get there:
- On the already familiar bus number 4, stop at the port of Vinpearl.
- On the free bus from Diamond Bay, he passes 100 eggs several times a day. You can catch the bus at the Nha Trang Center shopping center, on the embankment in the city center.
- On a special transfer from the mud baths. You can order it at your hotel or any travel agency. Price for everything is 4 dollars.
Improve your health in the Thap Ba mud baths
Before plunging into the cycle of excursions, the range of which in Nha Trang will amaze even the most advanced tourist, we decided to have a relaxing day at the famous Thap Ba mud bath. It is difficult to describe in words the delight and pleasure that we experienced in this place, but an unequivocal verdict - you must definitely experience it for yourself.
My husband and I, like little children, frolicked under the stream of water saturated with mineral salts, lay in the jacuzzi, smeared mud on each other and then swam with ecstasy in the pool with mineral water. The aromas of eucalyptus and flowering exotic plants magically complement the overall picture.
After Thap Ba, you get the feeling that you have thrown off all the burden of worries and problems that you brought with you on vacation. Relaxation worthy of the attention of the Gods, that’s what my husband said about this place, and I completely agree with him.
Thap Ba is located 15 minutes from the center of Nha Trang at the address: No. 15 Ngoc Son, Ngoc Hiep.
Opening hours from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Because the place is very popular, I advise you to come from 12 to 15 hours, at this time there are the least people.
How to get there:
- Again, the most tourist route 4 bus, stop at the Po Nagar towers, and then walk 2.5 km.
- Or by transfer from Thap Ba. You can order it at the hotel reception, they will arrange everything for you. Cost 1.5 dollars.
Later we also visited I-Resort, another corner of Nha Trang, full of warm pools, therapeutic mud, and providing a whole range of body-pleasant treatments. I would not compare 2 mud baths, if only because each of these places is full of its own charms.
Zoclet Beach and its surroundings
We took a separate voyage towards the popular beach of Nha Trang – Zoklet or Doklet, as you prefer. Here, in the salt fields of Nha Trang “Hon Khoi”, the Vietnamese “snow queen” creates bizarre creations from snow-white salt crystals.
It is impossible to get snow in Vietnam in winter, but the salt fields flooded with sea water are very similar to the palaces of the ice goddess, only the material for creating miracle palaces is salt that has dried under the hot sun.
Vietnamese women extract salt from these fields from January to June. It takes about an hour to get here from the center of Nha Trang, Khon Khoi is on the way to Zoklet beach. Many photographers come here to take beautiful pictures.
We did not ignore trio of waterfalls Ba Kho (Baho). True, we only had the patience to get to know one of the water brothers; we were too lazy to get to the others along the difficult mountain road. A trip to Doklet beach is suitable for lovers of extreme sports and exotic things.
Nha Trang is a city in Vietnam, the capital of Khanh Hoa Province, and also an important beach holiday center. In other words, Nha Trang is the main resort of the country. Almost all 200 thousand people living in this city are related to tourism activities.
The attractions of Nha Trang in Vietnam can be listed for a very long time. A lot of ancient buildings have been preserved here, as well as a considerable number of modern buildings and structures that attract the eye.

Bao Dai Villas is a famous tourist complex that includes a huge museum, a luxury hotel and an excellent park. The villas, built in 1923, are well preserved, all rooms are decorated in a historical style. The museum preserved the personal property of the emperor and his family, the emperor’s national clothes, and photographs.
The Oceanographic Institute is another attraction of the city that is recommended to be visited by all travelers visiting this beautiful city. The institute provides an opportunity to look at exotic representatives of marine fauna - there are more than 8 thousand species.
The Museum also has a library, a showroom, and a large aquarium.
Sights and attractions in Vietnam include a visit to Long Son Pagoda. This structure was erected in 1886, but is still the most important pagoda in Khanh Hoa province. Since 1936, Long Son has become a Buddhist temple. Behind the pagoda there is a statue of a huge Buddha sitting in a lotus flower, 14 m high.
Monkey Island
At a distance of 20 km from the city of Nha Trang there is one of the most interesting places in Vietnam - Monkey Island. This place is a real haven for many of these great apes. During Soviet times, a scientific laboratory was located on the island, where experiments were carried out with monkeys. After the collapse of the Soviet power, the laboratory was closed, and the monkeys fled to the forests, some were taken from the island.
Today, a monkey sanctuary has been organized here; in total, about 1,500 monkeys live on the island.
Created by nature-loving fisherman Le Can, Chi Nguyen Aquarium resembles a hybrid from a ghost ship
"The Flying Dutchman" and the aggressive "Black Pearl", known from the work "Pirates of the Caribbean". Stingrays, sharks, clumsy fossil fish, huge turtles, statue fish and many other strange sea creatures greet travelers every day.
The website has an interactive map of Nha Trang with attractions in Russian. The map shows the most important and interesting objects for tourists - interesting places to visit, restaurants, hotels, etc.
Perhaps one of the most important historical attractions of Nha Trang, which no tourist ignores, is the Ponagar Towers. The upper buildings of this building were erected back in the 7th-12th centuries; from 8 towers, only 4 “survived” to this day. Before entering the temple, you must remove your headdress and shoes, cover your shoulders and knees with cloth.
Each tower is dedicated to a specific deity. The highest of them (23 m) is dedicated to the Mother Queen, crowned by the ten-armed goddess Uma.
Here are just the main attractions of Nha Trang. In addition to them, you should definitely pay attention to Moon Island, St. Mary's Cathedral, Young Bay Ecological Park, etc.
