Where to relax in Montenegro with children. Which resort in Montenegro should you choose for a holiday with a child? Excursions and boat trips
While I was preparing for the trip, I read reviews, including here. I decided to leave mine, maybe it will help someone :)
So, our trip took place from June 4 to June 17, 2017.
My husband and 2-year-old daughter flew from Saratov to Moscow (Domodedovo Airport), then from there to Tivat. The Montenegro Airlines flight was announced as without food, but they brought raw smoked sausage with pickled cucumber and some other small things. I don’t eat this kind of thing, but I was glad that they still fed me. We flew on an Embraer. The child was not given any toys (in one of my posts I was told that Aeroflot was giving away a set), but we had already stocked up. The book turned out to be useless; it was still a bit noisy. Yes, and my head ached.
The owner of Maki Apartments (Radovici), where we had booked a room, picked us up from the airport. I chose these apartments because... they are the closest to almost the only purely sandy beach in Montenegro, Plavi Horizont.
About the rooms: we ordered the cheapest one, but we didn’t live in it for a day. On June 4-12 we lived in a room with a terrace, a bedroom and a living room combined with a kitchen.
On June 13-17 we lived in an even more expensive room with a balcony, 2 rooms and a separate kitchen. They didn't pay anything extra for this. The hosts turned out to be extremely hospitable and fulfilled any requests. For example, in the first issue there was an antediluvian iron (in the USSR they probably began to produce them immediately after cast iron ones), but they replaced it with a more modern model.
I really liked the location. You live almost in the forest)) More precisely, forest plantings begin almost immediately from the apartments. Birds sing, silence. There is a children's playground in the shade. Nothing special, but my daughter liked it. The Voli store is partly uphill about 700 meters, nearby. It's a little further to the sea in the opposite direction. I haven’t seen it in the reviews: there is a sidewalk along the road to the sea, it’s easy to get to in a stroller.
What I didn't like. In the apartment you feel like you are in a country house: the furniture is a bit old, everything is not particularly clean (in the first room there was mold in the shower and the washing machine was leaking). I washed the floors myself :) For almost 2 weeks, they never cleaned our place, they only threw out the garbage when we ourselves didn’t have time. There are also a lot of mosquitoes, my daughter was all eaten up. And you can’t leave the meat to defrost (and food in general on the table), the ants will immediately stick around.
The sea itself is transparent, the sand is fine, almost white. Since we went before the opening of the season, there were few people and the beach was clean. Only in recent days there have been more people in the evenings, and garbage has appeared. They brought with them a comfortable, waterproof blanket that could be folded into a mini-bag. We bought a beach umbrella for €12 near Voli. My daughter was delighted with the sea: she swam in a circle and played running into the water at the shore. She is the tanned one of the three of us now))
We rented a car for 4 days. We grabbed a Volkswagen Polo for €130. €25/day + €10 child seat + €5/day extended comprehensive insurance. There was also no need for a deposit.
On the way to Tivat we drove along a high mountain serpentine to look at the Bay of Kotor from above. My daughter was sleeping, and we were admiring the panoramas.
In Tivat we went to the Great City Park and was not impressed.
We took a walk around Porto Montenegro.
On the way from Tivat to Perast we took a ride on the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry, my daughter was delighted!
Only local residents can enter Perast by car. Which is natural, because... The town is old, small, with narrow streets. More precisely, only the embankment is suitable for walking with a stroller. I jumped up the stairs near the chapel alone, about 200 steps)) The town itself is nice, the boats look very picturesque in the turquoise waters of the bay.
Even though the horizon is blocked, I like this photo)
The cafes are not cheap, but that’s understandable, it’s a tourist place. But here we were fed relatively tasty food, unlike our other trips to cafes.
On the way back we stopped at Cogimar, bought delicious cheese (soft creamy inside, spicy-salty crust with rosemary) and fresh huge shrimp (€17/kg). We barely managed to finish half a kilo of shrimp, although they were very tasty.
I liked Kotor's old town. Very colorful. We wanted to climb the fortress along the old Austrian road, but it turned out to be completely unsuitable for a stroller. Out of boredom, we bought some goodies at nearby Pekara and continued our walk)) Huge cruise ships regularly moor in the port of Kotor. You immediately think, wow, how deep the sea is near the shore!
We went to the Durmintor National Park, to the Black Lake. We navigated through the Maps with me application, it took us to an old ticket office that was inactive. As a result, we visited the park for free, as the locals do)) However, the car was left in an inconvenient place and the workers blocked our road by cutting down the O_O tree right across it. But my husband heroically slid down the slide while my daughter and I were waiting for him at the bottom. We liked the lake itself, it reminded me of Canadian lakes (I miss it, I miss it). Very beautiful, water of different colors. Ducks are swimming :) Not without adventure, we also went to the second part of the lake, which many do not get to due to lack of time. Our compatriot sent us in the wrong direction. As a result, I with a stroller, and my husband with a child in his arms, climbed up the mountain through windbreaks)) But then, again, Maps with me saved us. We walked around the lake for about a couple of hours. I looked with sadness at the strawberry ovary)) The air is wonderful, there is a sea of flowers. The lake and streams are lovely! But we were thoroughly tired, because... my daughter was almost not in the stroller. As a result, we did not go to see the Tara River canyon and the famous bridge. We had a blast at the Zlatny Bor cafe (or something like that) and went home. The road, by the way, is also very beautiful. Mountains all around, how I love it))
In Budva we walked around the pretty old town, saw the Citadel, had ice cream and other sweets in a cafe, and went to see Mogren beach. I didn’t like the modern part of the city, maybe they were looking in the wrong place :)
We went to look at Sveti Stefan from above, but didn’t go down.
Instead, we went to the old capital of Montenegro, Cetinje. The town is small, cute in places, but not worth a trip to it. It is evident that it is going through a time of decline. Much is in disrepair. Although the former Russian embassy is being restored, for example. We came across a cafe with disgusting food)) I hope not all establishments there are like that.
In Radovichi themselves we also walked around the city and went up to the church. Then we walked a little along the road along the bay.
We flew back on flight S7 on Airbus. I really liked it :) My daughter was not capricious, she slept on boarding. I almost devoured my childhood meal, even though it was a large portion. In general, the food is not bad.
In general, we were pleased with our vacation. We breathed in fresh air, swam in the sea, and saw the sights. We were lucky with the weather (+28-+30, sunny). On the only cloudy day with drizzling rain, we even swam)) I don’t really understand people who come here for 5-8 years every year for a month (they were in apartments), but one trip turned out to be quite interesting.
When going abroad, even for a short holiday, you need to prepare for the trip fundamentally. And even more so, you need to meticulously weigh the pros and cons and assess the risks if you are traveling abroad with a child. Here you need to take into account everything: the coverage of the beaches, entry into the sea, the climatic characteristics of the area, the noise or, conversely, the seclusion of the resorts, the development of infrastructure, the availability of baby food and entertainment. The countries have long become a tourist Mecca due to their comparative cheapness. Beautiful ancient architecture of the cities, delicious cuisine and charming locals, with whom there is often no language barrier - what more could you want? But if you want to go to a country like Montenegro with children, where to go? Which resort should you choose? Where to live? We will try to answer these questions in the article.
When is the best time to come on vacation?
Montenegro is what our Italian neighbors call this Balkan country. And here we call it, you can find it here in almost any resort. The child here is a kind of cult. Your child will be pampered as if they were their own by hotel staff, waiters in restaurants and just ordinary citizens. Therefore, the country positions itself as a family holiday destination. But you should still choose a period when there will not be so many people on the beaches and streets. The peak season in Montenegro lasts from the second half of July to the end of August. If your child needs to be in school by the first of September, then choose June for vacation. There are not many people yet, but the air temperature is already summer. But don’t forget to take protective cream with numerous filters - the sun here is southern and evil. And with a baby, the optimal time to go to Montenegro is in September. The sea has finally warmed up, the heat is beginning to subside, and the abundance of fruits will replenish your child’s body with vitamins for the whole year.
Relief
Naturally, if you are going on vacation with a baby, it is better to choose a hotel on the first page. But Montenegro can sometimes play a cruel joke on an inexperienced tourist. The fact is that the country's topography is predominantly mountains. They come very close to the sea. The map of Montenegro with hotels is replete with front-page hotels. But often they turn out to be buildings perched on cliffs or hanging like swallows' nests over the sea. Therefore, you will be faced with frequent hikes up and down endless stairs or steep paths. Agree, with a baby, and even with a stroller, such walks will turn into hard labor. Therefore, it is worth choosing hotels located on flat terrain, or those that provide their guests with a shuttle to the beach. Sometimes hotels have an elevator to the coast. There are flat areas near Budva, Petrovac, and Becici.
The best beaches in Montenegro for children
To be honest, Montenegro is not a country for “seal” holidays. Due to the mountainous landscape, the coastline is a narrow space strewn with stones or (at best) small pebbles. And sometimes they are just rocks that end in cliffs into the sea. And in the summer months, due to the small space, there is nowhere for an apple to fall on these coasts. Often the beaches in hotels are pontoon. What does it mean? A pier extends from the shore, from which you can go down the steps into the water, immediately to the depths. Now imagine what the whole process of bathing with your baby will look like. Not only does it not create sand castles, but it also won’t splash around in shallow water. But natural sandy beaches are found in the south of the country. Not everything is so bad in other parts of a country like Montenegro. A hotel for families with children, if it positions itself as such, must have a beach with imported sand and a shallow entry into the sea.
Nutrition
The cuisine of the Balkan peoples is tasty, but not at all designed for children. The diet of the local population is based on grilled meat and fish, as well as a variety of pizzas and pastas. But your little sweet tooth will be satisfied: delicious pastries, desserts, and ice cream are sold on every corner in Montenegro. But seriously: how to provide your child with complete and healthy nutrition when you plan to go on vacation to a country like Montenegro? A hotel for families with children, as a rule, offers its guests half board. If the hotel is high-class, its restaurant will have a so-called children's table. This means that your child can be fed porridge, cheesecakes, cottage cheese and everything that the baby is used to eating at home. There is another holiday option - renting an apartment with a kitchen. But then part of your time will need to be devoted to preparing dishes.
All inclusive hotels
Unlike Egypt and Turkey, the all-inclusive food system is almost never practiced in Montenegro. Mostly, hotels offer only breakfast; less often you can find half board (with lunch or dinner - your choice). But whoever seeks will find. For those who like to eat as much as they like, the hotels in Becici (Montenegro) are waiting for you: “Montenegro” and “Iberostar Bellevue”. In Budva these are the Avala Star Resort and Alexander hotels, and in Tivat - Montenegrino. There are hotels with a similar service in Ulcinj and Kotor.
Walks and entertainment
Montenegro surprises with its landscapes, ancient architecture and history. As a rule, children, especially preschool age, are of little interest in antiquities and the beauties of nature. This needs to be taken into account if you are planning to travel to a country like Montenegro with children. What to do with a whining child on the streets of ancient Budva or fabulous Kotor? And a long excursion to the reserve will probably only tire them. It is best to choose small resorts for a family holiday, such as Petrovac, less than 20 kilometers from Budva. In addition to the city beach, there are also outlying ones: Lucice, Buryalitsa - with excellent infrastructure and good access to the sea. There are many shady parks here. The local Palace Hotel hosts theatrical performances for children every evening. Circus performers, mimes, various competitions - your child will be delighted. And recently, almost every beach is complete without a water slide and other attractions.
Montenegro: where to relax with children
The choice of resorts in this country must be approached responsibly. There are towns that position themselves as places for active recreation for youth. It is unlikely that your baby will fall asleep peacefully if there is a nightclub or disco nearby. Therefore, you should not choose a hotel in the very center of a big city. But small villages are not exactly a suitable option for a good family vacation. As a rule, there is no entertainment in them. Such secluded places are good for newlyweds in love. When planning a vacation with a child, it is important to find a middle ground. And the choice is quite large. After all, this is a tourist country - Montenegro! A hotel for families with children can be located in a quiet area of Herceg Novi or on the outskirts of Budva, in small satellite towns such as Petrovac or in the ancient villages of Becici, Tivat with its three parks and others.
Hotels
It would seem that everything is simple here. If a travel agent assures you that a hotel is for a family vacation, then it is so. But what does he mean by this concept? Generally, hoteliers write "Family Hotel" on their sign if they have rooms with connecting doors. But if you are a mother with a small child, then you do not need such a service at all. It’s better to ask if the restaurant has a children’s menu and high chairs, if you can agree to put a small crib in the room for a baby, if the hotel has a shallow pool. What can you recommend offhand? In Petrovac these are the “four” hotels “Riviera”, “Monte Casa Wellness and SPA” and “Villa Oliva”. In Kotor it is Forza Maare, and in Budva it is the charming Splendid Conference Resort. Hotel Plaza (Montenegro, Herceg Novi) is also suitable for families with children, although the hotel is located in the heart of the city. The wonderful one is just across the street. The private beach is covered with loose sand and small pebbles. And you shouldn’t limit yourself to just them. In Herceg Novi, which is atypical for Montenegro, the beaches stretch for four kilometers. There is an outdoor swimming pool for children on the hotel premises.
Hello, friends.
Today I will tell you about resorts in Montenegro for families with children.
We will indicate the best resorts in Montenegro and places to which you probably shouldn’t go.
Spring in Montenegro 2017
We lived in Montenegro with our children for a total of 5 months. This time was enough for us to get some idea of the country and its cities.
Everything written below is based solely on our experience of living in this country and on our personal tastes.
Over the 5 months of our life, we were more or less thoroughly able to explore three resorts in Montenegro: Budva, Bar, Herceg Novi. It was in these cities that we lived in the spring and summer of 2017. These same cities are the largest on the coast of Montenegro and therefore they are often considered by tourists for recreation.
I asked my husband where out of all the cities he would stay to live longer and he, without hesitation, said Herceg Novi. This is an emotion. And I have the same one.
But if we included logic and common sense, the answer would probably be different.
Budva.
The city is the most touristy and this is its strength/weakness. It’s terrible here during the season, but at the same time, there is a lot for life and convenience here. Restaurants, shops, market, playgrounds, library (Russian), bus station. All this is within walking distance and can be reached without any problems by a mother with children. There is a small park, accessible Old Town.
The embankment is narrow and not very long, but you can always go to Becici and further. Plus, it is from Budva that it is most convenient to travel throughout the country and explore it.
Empty spring Budva
For me personally, it was Budva that became the most convenient place on the coast to live. But I repeat, and this is the main thing - in the off season.
During the high season, there is nowhere to sit on the beach, prices skyrocket, and service is low. It was already not comfortable to walk on the embankment at the beginning of June. In the summer there is music, noise, discos and all the ensuing joys of young people's lives.
The influx of tourists begins after May 25, although the season in Montenegro officially starts on June 21. But already from the end of spring we suddenly felt how many people there were everywhere in the city.
The views from the beaches of Budva are crazy)
Bar.
The most controversial city in our opinion. Despite the presence of certain advantages, it did not hook us and left us with an ambivalent feeling. A friend of ours, who has been living in Montenegro for many years, said this very well about the Bar: “The Bar is ideal for a long life without showing off.” And this is the most correct definition.
View of the city of Bar from the water
There is everything for a long life here. Schools, clubs, parties, shops and the necessary infrastructure. Plus everything is cheaper than in other resorts in Montenegro. Well, the city doesn’t die out in the winter.
But the place itself... I don’t even know how to label it correctly. I would say that this is not standard Montenegro at all, and this is where its non-European part is most felt. Perhaps the fact that the border with Muslim Albania is very close played a role.
Beach of the city of Bar in Montenegro
For us, the Bar turned out to be such a local “scoop”. While relaxing in Bar and its immediate surroundings, you will not understand or see Montenegro. This is purely my opinion based on living in Bar for two months.
One of the advantages of the city of Bar is its wide embankment
Another controversial comrade. But here there is a downside. Emotionally, this is where we liked it the most. Although it was here that my son was sick, and we lived the least, and the apartment was average. But the city was hooked, yes. At the same time, I am of the opinion that it is not the most convenient for living with children.
Herceg Novi is our favorite in Montenegro)
Lots of steps and slides make life very difficult. There are few children's activities/playgrounds in the city. Herceg Novi is located not conveniently in my opinion (a little out of the way). But here, right away, is the border with Croatia and the beautiful Dubrovnik.
The beaches are average (many pantons, few good pieces). And those parts that are available during the season are also crowded.
One of the beaches of Herceg Novi in September
But at the same time it has its own charm and atmosphere. Plus, this is where it felt like there were the most foreigners and there was also a long embankment for walking (7 km). And we love this business.
The embankment in Herceg Novi is 10 points
It would also be fair to note that during the peak season (July and August) there will still be fewer people here than in Budva, for example, because the resort is not yet so promoted and popular.
Herceg Novi captivated us with its atmosphere)
Answering the question, which city would I choose for living and relaxing, I would answer that with my heart is Herceg Novi, and with my mind is Budva. But again, this greatly depends on the season, duration and wishes of a particular person. Montenegro is all very beautiful and interesting and the choice should be made only based on your personal feelings and requirements)

Tourist highlights of holidays with children in Montenegro
Among SeredinaLeta tourists there are many families with children. Parents, tired of Turkey, are increasingly asking me where is the best place to go on vacation with their children. In this article we decided to talk about the features of holidays with children in Montenegro.
Montenegro is a good option for families with children. A short flight, a safe country, excellent nature, air filled with the cleanest sea - what could be better for the summer health of children. However, it is worth considering all the nuances when choosing a resort for your vacation.
What time to go on vacation to Montenegro with children?
The Adriatic Sea warms up slowly in spring. And if adults can swim already at the end of May, then the time to relax with children in Montenegro without the risk of bad weather begins only in the second half of June. The swimming season ends at the end of September, although on the beaches of the Ulcinj Riviera you can enjoy the velvet season in October.
Almost all resorts in Montenegro have a peak season - this is 45 days from mid-July to the end of August, when it is hot outside, the beaches are crowded, parking lots are full, and prices are high. We consider the best time for a holiday with children in Montenegro to be the month from mid-June to mid-July, as well as September.
2-3 times during the summer the Adriatic Sea gets sharply cold. This usually lasts 2-3 days, after which the water temperature returns to normal – on average +25. During the velvet season of September, the heat outside subsides along with the rush of tourists, and the sea remains perfectly warm.
Food for children in Montenegro
Children's interests are not very reflected in the national Montenegrin cuisine. It is based on grilled meat and Italian national dishes. By the way, pizza and spaghetti are prepared excellently in Montenegro! There are no children's sections in the restaurant menus.
In taverns and restaurants for our 3-year-old child, we chose various chorbs (broths), vegetable hot dishes and salads, and potatoes. For older children - spaghetti and pizza. There is practically no porridge in the cuisine of Montenegro - neither in restaurants nor in supermarkets.
Most villas and apartments in Montenegro are equipped with a kitchen or kitchenette. This makes life much easier for mothers. And there are many taverns, cafes or restaurants near well-maintained beaches and on the streets of resort towns.
Supermarkets in Montenegro have a good selection of vegetables and fruits, the freshest and most delicious bread and pastries, high-quality juices, and the usual baby food. Fresh meat is inexpensive, and it is practically not frozen.
The usual tomato juice, condensed milk and cottage cheese are rarely found in supermarkets. It is better to take cereals with you for your child’s favorite porridge. Buckwheat and oatmeal are difficult to find in Montenegrin supermarkets.
Medicine in Montenegro
Any holiday abroad requires insurance. In a package tour, insurance is included in the cost of the vacation. When going on holiday to Montenegro with children on your own, do not forget to buy a policy.
You can pay online by card directly on our website. If you are traveling with children, it is better to buy insurance without a franchise with coverage of at least 30,000 euros recommended for the European Union.
The names of medicines in Montenegro differ from Ukrainian ones. However, doctors and pharmacists will offer analogues if the instructions for your drugs contain the names of the ingredients in Latin. They even selected an analogue for Enterosgel for us! Montenegrins are soulful people, especially when it comes to the health of a child.
There are few hospitals in Montenegro, as well as emergency vehicles. If you find yourself in trouble without an insurance policy, we recommend taking a taxi rather than waiting for an ambulance to arrive. The hospital will not refuse you even if you don’t have a policy.
- Rubberized shoes are necessary for safe recreation with children. The beaches of Montenegro are pebble, rocky or sand and pebble with imported sand. The entrance to the water may also have pebbles. The selection of Crocs in stores in Montenegro is quite wide; you can buy them everywhere.
- You won’t be able to hang in the water for hours, and children’s infrastructure is not provided everywhere. It is worth thinking in advance about what to do with your child on the beach between swims.
- Avoid midday heat. Gradually increase your child's time in the sun to get used to it and avoid sunstroke or heatstroke.
- A couple of days after arrival, children may experience symptoms similar to poisoning. This may be a manifestation of acclimatization. Most often, the discomfort goes away within a day.
Attitude towards children in Montenegro
Montenegrins love children. This is easy to notice right away - by the abundance of smiles, the increased caution of taxi drivers, and the special attitude towards little guests in restaurants and shops.
The level of security in the country is very high. There is practically no crime here. Montenegrins can safely leave doors open in their houses and car windows with the keys inserted in the parking lot.
Manifestations of cordiality among the residents of Montenegro are also absolutely natural. It is considered normal to pat a child on the head, address him, treat him with candy or give him a souvenir.
Beaches of Montenegro for families with children.
We have already written that, except for the extreme south (Ulcinj), all the beaches of Montenegro are pebbly or made of imported sand mixed with pebbles. We wrote in more detail about the resorts in the article about the resorts of Montenegro.
We tried to compare popular resorts in Montenegro for you, giving them ratings on aspects important for holidays with children. We chose the following criteria:
- Beaches. Preference was given to beaches with a softer surface, the presence of beach infrastructure and the quality of entry into the water.
- Landscape. The beach line in Montenegro is narrow. Many coastal towns are located on mountain slopes, which is inconvenient for strollers and babies. Therefore, the rating is higher for resorts that are more flat.
- Products. The more shops, markets and shops at the resort in close proximity to the tourist accommodation, the higher the score will be.
- Medicine. In Montenegro, not all resort villages have medical centers, not to mention full-fledged hospitals. The rating is higher for those resorts that have their own medical facilities.
- Walking with children. There are embankments in almost every resort in Montenegro. The score will be higher if there are parks, alleys, boulevards and other places for walking with children at the resort.
- Children's infrastructure. At large resorts in the summer, amusement parks and inflatable attractions on the water are established. But in small villages there may not even be a large permanent playground. We evaluate the children's infrastructure of the resort.
- Calm. Holidays with children are preferably family holidays, without any special parties or loud music. We appreciate the tranquility of the resort.

Montenegrin resorts have long been considered an excellent option for a family holiday with children, as here you can admire marvelous landscapes, the emerald sea, lush forests and equally picturesque lakes. Montenegro has everything you need for a good holiday, although not every resort is suitable for traveling with a small child, so this choice should be taken seriously.
The main advantages of holidays with children in Montenegro
If you know very little about the features of holidays in Montenegro with children, then you should definitely take a closer look at the advantages of the local resorts:
Excellent weather conditions– the climate of Montenegro seems to be created for family holidays. Even at high temperatures and the scorching sun, you can hide from the heat under the luxurious branches of trees. The weather will certainly please you and your baby.
Excellent ecology– the residents of this state treat their natural resources with trepidation, so here you can enjoy almost impeccable cleanliness, both on the beach and on the city streets. Montenegro is recommended to visit not only for married couples with children, but also for pregnant women, as it has a beneficial effect on health.
Moderate lifestyle– Montenegrin resorts are free from noisy youth parties and the tension of busy tourist centers, which is why here you can truly relax with the whole family, gaining strength for everyday work and bright positive impressions.
Rich natural world– in addition to excellent conditions for healing, you can see a lot of natural beauty in this country. According to legend, in ancient times Montenegro was rewarded with natural wealth by the gods, which is quite difficult to disagree with after seeing all its charms with your own eyes.
Luxurious beaches– Montenegrin beaches have long been on the list of the cleanest and most well-groomed beaches in the world, which are designated with a “blue flag”. Hollywood celebrities and dignitaries constantly relax here and want to enjoy a relaxing holiday with royal chic. Shallow water areas are perfect for children's swimming.
When is the best time to go on vacation to Montenegro with children?
Since the peak tourist season in Montenegro occurs at the end of July and August, it is better not to visit local resorts with children at this time of year in order to save yourself from a lot of problems and additional inconveniences: traffic jams, high prices for tours and accommodation. The ideal time for a family trip is June or September. Just during this period, the air is warm and the water is already warm enough for swimming, but the sun is not too naughty. Some people prefer to travel to Montenegro in May or even October, but this may not be entirely convenient for a small child. At seaside resorts, you should definitely purchase special swimming shoes for yourself and your baby.
Types of recreation for big and small
Montenegro for adults
Although this country occupies a relatively small territory, it definitely has something to surprise even the most discerning tourist:
Beach holidays and diving– everyone who wants to see the underwater beauty with their own eyes will be helped to realize their dream by experienced instructors with high-quality professional equipment. Of course, such a vacation is not at all for children, but parents should not deny themselves such pleasure.
Extreme sport– if you are not afraid to give yourself a real shake-up, you can always indulge in extreme tourism, in particular, go rafting, mountaineering, go on a mountain hike or even fly a little on a glider. The majestic Montenegrin landscapes will make such events truly unforgettable.
Ecological tourism– if your baby is interested, you can always take him for a walk through local national parks, fabulous protected areas or visit one of the Montenegrin lakes. Such entertainment will always be especially popular.
Excursion program– Montenegro is also famous for its ancient architecture, centuries-old castles and temple complexes. Even ordinary residential buildings here certainly deserve special attention.
What is attractive about Montenegro for children?
The developed entertainment infrastructure in Montenegrin resorts offers a lot of pleasures for little tourists:
Water parks– it will be quite difficult to pick up the kids from the colorful water slides and special pools, but your baby will receive a lot of positive emotions, make new acquaintances and allow you to take a little break from him on a cozy sun lounger nearby.
Luna parks– during the holiday season, such mobile attractions literally roam around seaside towns to the delight of tourists and their children.
Excursions to natural monuments– boat trips along the miniature islands of the Adriatic or travel through the dense forests of the Black Mountains will leave exceptional emotions in your child’s memories.
Ancient castles– boys will certainly enjoy excursions to numerous medieval castles, which have been perfectly preserved to this day.
Prices for the best hotels in Montenegro for families with children
In some coastal areas of Montenegro, entry into the water can be quite rocky, so not all local resorts are ideal for a family holiday. Among the seaside resorts, special attention should be paid to Dobrye Vody, Velikaya Plazha, Kotor and Ulcinj. In addition, in Montenegro there are quite a few health resorts in the forest, in the mountains and on the shores of lakes, which will certainly appeal to you and your children. The town of Petrovac is surrounded on all sides by coniferous forests, a climatic treatment center in Igapo, cultural and educational recreation in Tivat, a sunny Bar on the Adriatic coast, the beach resort of Sutomore and many others.
