• supports made of reinforced concrete for immersion up to 45 meters in the area of ​​the Taman Peninsula.

Delivery and completion of the construction of the Kerch bridge

Undoubtedly, everyone is looking forward to building a bridge across the Kerch Strait. This large-scale project is planned to be implemented as soon as possible (in four years). According to the plan, as early as December 2018, the labor movement can be launched. The deadline for the completion of the Kerch bridge is June 2019.

Maximum project cost, including design and survey work, will amount to 228.3 billion rubles, of which 227.8 billion rubles will be allocated from the Federal Target Program "Socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol until 2020." In 2014, it is planned to finance the project in the amount of 500 million rubles at the expense of the budget allocations provided for by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation under the subsection "General economic issues".

Rosavtodor is responsible for the implementation of the project. The bridge is planned to be completed by 2018. The total length of the transport crossing is 19 km.

It was planned to build the bridge in two stages: the 1st from the fall of 2014, the second from 2018. The first stage of the bridge will consist of a railway track and a motorway with one lane in each direction. The bridge will be expanded in the future. Financing for the construction of the first stage of the bridge will amount to 170 billion rubles, but after a meeting with the participation of the President of Russia and the announcement of the completion date for all work, it was decided to build the bridge in one stage. Financing will be carried out entirely at the expense of the federal budget of the Russian Federation. The total cost of the project is 283 billion rubles.

On September 5, 2014, the construction of transport (road and rail) approaches to the bridge began.

On October 1, 2014, the Ukrainian side officially announced that it was terminating the agreement on the construction of a bridge across the strait.

On October 29, 2014, the representative of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov proposed to build a modular flexible tunnel instead of the bridge.

The bridge is unlikely to be built without the consent of Ukraine

He said that the main stage of preparatory work, both for the construction of the bridge and related to the development of a feasibility study, has been completed. The Stroygazmontazh company noted that during the construction of the bridge, more than 5,000 people will be able to live in residential complexes on the Taman and Kerch banks.
