Nha Trang cable car. The world's longest cable car has opened in Vietnam. You can get to the cable car from Nha Trang
The bus that takes you to the funicular to Vinpearl Park is No. 4. It runs every 15 minutes, costs 7,000 dong per person (20 rubles in our opinion). Stops on the streets of tourist Nha Trang. His route is approximately from the Cathedral towards the sea and the Lotus building (here it is)
Before reaching which, the bus turns onto the 2nd line. After two intersections, it goes to the embankment and follows to the final one, where the cable car will begin on the square with this sculpture (and most likely a fountain, I don’t know for sure, there was no water at that time).
The cable car opened in 2007. The height at which the cabins move above the sea is 70 m. The columns, among which the cable car is stretched, are stylized as the Eiffel Towers.
Multi-colored booths:
The length of the cable car itself is 3 km 300 m. Travel time by cable car is approximately 13 minutes. Enough to admire the surrounding beauty and take photographs. In the cabin itself, during the journey, a loudspeaker sounds in different languages about what exactly you can visit in the park.
This is the distance to Vinpearl that opens at the beginning of the journey
And this is what the shore of Nha Trang looks like, from where they “started”
On the right side of the cable car there is some kind of island
On the left side is a view of the entire coast of Nha Trang
On weekdays, the Vinpearl cable car runs from 8.00. until 21.00, and on weekends – until 22.00. Information for cowards - NOT SCARY! The cabin is large, with 8 seats, covered with tinted glass on all sides. When it passes the coupling with the pole, it shakes minimally, and after that the cabin does not rock, as on some cable cars, when everyone squeals and at that moment the heart drops somewhere. But you can't stand in the cockpit. I think just because of this - so as not to sway. But we were there at noon, there were no longer any queues, we were alone in the booth with our son. Therefore, we stood up and had any angle for the photo. For example, this is what I really like:
Please note that you cannot simply ride the cable car without visiting Vinpearl Park itself. This is one excursion. And the cost for the cable car in both directions and for the entire island is also the same. By the way, it’s rather big – almost 40 dollars. Perhaps there is such a service, just ride the cable car, but how can you explain this to the Vietnamese? Yes, and this is completely inappropriate. You should visit Vinpearl Park itself, it’s worth it!
Look at the magnificent views that open up as you approach the island! It’s simply breathtaking with admiration when you’re in a cabin and the size of the island is directly approaching you! The details are enlarged and turned into fairytale castles! Incomparable!
You can leave the island at any time, just go to the funicular and sit in the cabin. As I already said, if at lunch we went to the island alone in a cabin, then in the evening there was no such luxury - a maximum of 8 people. Moreover, the funicular is constantly moving, and the last passengers jump on almost on the fly. That is, fat and clumsy people are unlikely to be able to do this. Yes, I’ve never seen anything like that. Asians are slender!
Everyone comes to Vinpearl for the whole day and in the evening the queue for the cable car is crazy! Like boarding a plane at the airport, everyone goes through the “snake” system.
This is the place and the “snake” in the morning:
And here in the evening:
And here you can see how close people are walking to each other. It is noisy, stuffy and, of course, there is some smell of sweat in the air. You can take this into account when you are faced with the choice of how to return from the island.
Because from the loudspeaker on the square they constantly announce in different languages: “We apologize, the funicular is full. Please go to the pier to the boats.” But it seems no one reacts and everyone goes to the cable car. The tail of the queue starts far to the right, behind the shops. Seeing such a queue, of course, we were shocked. I hate queues. Therefore, from approximately 18.30 to 19.20. we tried to wait it out, we thought the people would “dissolve.” We walked among the attractions and shops. Then we sat on a bench, listened to a musical group that performed various world hits (including Russian ones), right here, on the square in front of the funicular. Not so! The queue didn't get any shorter! I wonder how many people this park can accommodate in one day? Hard to imagine. And everyone, apparently, wants to return to Nha Trang by cable car, not by boat!
But now you know what features lie in wait in such a crowd (see above) and the choice is yours. I found it tolerable and interesting. But all people are different. By the way, the line moves quite quickly.
Indeed, from the height of the cable car you can see the most beautiful views of the evening Nha Trang, illuminated columns in the form of Eiffel Towers float in the dark. You turn towards Vinpearl, and he’s all sparkling in the lights, the huge Ferris wheel is also all illuminated. O-o-very beautiful!!!
The cable car in Nha Trang is even listed in the Guinness Book of Records. The Vietnamese are very proud of her. In general, they really love funiculars, so they have already built another one - in the south of Vietnam on the island of Phu Quoc, with a length of 8 km. Opened in February 2018. What can I say? Well done! They broke their own record. Now I really want to visit there too.
I must say that we were very lucky with our trip to Nha Trang. It turns out that the cable car to Vinpearl amusement park was broken and opened only a week before our arrival.
I wish everyone to visit this place!
Cable car in Nha Trang This is not only an interesting way to get to, but is also a highlight of the city in itself. If you are in Nha Trang and see the sea, then most likely you will see the cable car. Thanks to the lighting, the cable car in Nha Trang is especially beautiful in the evenings. The grand opening took place in 2007. By this time, the cable car in Nha Trang was recognized as the longest cable car over the sea in the world. The length is 3,300 meters at an altitude of 70 meters above the water. The cable car to Vinpearl is supported by 9 columns in the shape of the Eiffel Tower. This is such beauty.
How to get to the cable car in Nha Trang
- The easiest way to get to the cable car is by bike, but if you don’t drive one, there are other options.
- The most affordable option (besides walking), of course, will be public transport. Bus No. 4 will take you to the Vinpearl cable car; the fare costs 7,000 dong. But there is also a minus: the bus starts operating early in the morning, but the last flight from the cable car back to the city leaves at 18.10 in the evening.
- After a whole day of entertainment on the island, you are unlikely to have much energy or desire to take a walk of several kilometers, so you can return home by taxi. There is a whole car park nearby, so catching a car will not be difficult.
- By the way, some taxi drivers are ready to carry to the cable car for less than half the actual cost (20-30 thousand dong) if you don’t have tickets yet! He will stop at the ticket office, which is located on the road to the island, in the same place as the Oceanographic Museum stop. You will buy a ticket for the same price as at the main ticket office at the entrance to Vinpearl (600,000 VND). And the taxi driver gets 5,000 from each ticket sold to his passenger.
On the map of Nha Trang the cable car is marked with a blue funicular:
The nuances of the cable car in Nha Trang
The Vinpearl cable car operates from Monday to Thursday from 8.00 am to 21.00 pm, and from Friday to Sunday until 22.00. Do not take food or drinks with you; everything will be taken away at the checkpoint before boarding the cabin. There are plenty of cafes on the island, you won’t go hungry (prices are the same as in the city center). The only thing is that they make exceptions for small children; for example, they will be allowed to take baby food with them. The cabins are designed for 8 people, and they are slightly stuffy, there is no air conditioning. But all this is brightened up by the view and the sensations that you get from the cable car. It is best to arrive early, around 8-9 am. There are more chances to get to a free ticket office rather than crowding in line, and it is much more pleasant to ride in a half-empty booth than a crowded one. The one way journey takes just under 15 minutes.
Cost of the cable car in Nha Trang
A ticket for one adult now costs 590,000 VND. The ticket price includes round-trip cable car travel and all entertainment on Winpearl Island (water park, aquarium, cinema, fountain show, etc.). You can also buy a more expensive ticket, which also includes lunch. If you just want to ride the cable car without visiting Vinpearl Island, then the ticket will cost even less.
By the way, entertainment on Vinpearl is only available in good weather, that is, when it rains, the amusement park is not open, but the cable car is open in any weather. It was designed and built by a Swiss company; according to the regulations, the cable car can withstand even a force 8 storm.
The cable car in Nha Trang connects the city with Hon Tre Island, on which there is an amusement park and the five-star Vinpearl Hotel of the same name. The transparent cabins of the funicular will give you a wonderful view, a lot of impressions and pleasant memories. The cable car in Nha Trang is not only a wonderful decoration of the evening city, but also an excellent attraction.

Amusement park on Vinpearl Island and the longest cable car over the sea in Nha Trang
Despite the fact that I’m no longer a child, I’ll still say it! One of the coolest places in Nha Trang that you should definitely visit, especially if you come with children, is the huge Vinpearl amusement park. Its name is also in English - Vinpearl, and in Russian in two versions - Vinpearl or Vin Pearl.
This park is located on Vinpearl Island, not far from Nha Trang, and the world's longest cable car over the sea leads to this island! To tell the truth, the color is simply extraordinary. There is such a beautiful view of the city and surrounding area that it is simply breathtaking! The cable car in Nha Trang was built by a Swiss company, it is the longest suspended cable car in the world over the sea, its length is 3,300 meters, its height is 70 meters, the funicular is supported by five huge columns, which are illuminated at night and it looks very beautiful. The cable car in Nha Trang connects the city with Hon Tre Island, where there is a huge amusement park.
When you enter, you can take a map of the island so you know exactly where to go. Everything is very detailed on the map, so don't get lost.
The only negative is that the cabins are designed for 6-8 people, and 20 minutes before Vin Pearl you will travel in the company of Vietnamese or other tourists. Naturally, there is no air conditioning in the cabins, so in the heat everyone sits huddled together and sweats. But there is some cheerful music playing, so you won’t be bored anyway!
Park entrance fee is 450,000 dong per person, but this price includes absolutely all the entertainment on the island - rides, slot machines, a water park, an aquarium, 4D cinemas and a climb to the top of Mount VinPearl in small cars designed for two people. Prices for food in Vinpearl are not much different from those in the city, although if you take European food, it will, of course, be more expensive. Just in case, stock up on a bottle of water, it is twice as expensive there as in Nha Trang.
You can also get to the island on which the park is located by boat; the ticket will cost more – 600,000 dong. This is in case you have claustrophobia or a fear of heights. To be honest, I didn’t always feel confident on the cable car either, especially when my husband stood up to his full height to take a good shot. However, as soon as I saw the Swiss label of the company that built this cable car, my fears subsided a little.
A word of caution. Do not go to the Vietnamese island of Vinpearl on weekends, because on weekends the park is overrun by Vietnamese to such an extent that you have to queue for all the attractions.
Attractions
“Roller coaster”, of course, is so-so, but you can ride it once, it will take your breath away as in childhood and you want to desperately squeal and laugh. There is almost always a queue for this attraction; it is located right at the entrance to the park, a little to the right.
A carousel of old American films, which are especially loved by the creators of horror films. All my life since childhood I dreamed of riding one of these. To be honest, I was a little bored while skating and thought that she would rather stop! There are two or three such carousels in Vin Pearl, but this is the largest, the rest are just for kids.
A separate indoor complex is reserved for slot machines, three whole floors! There are also 4D cinemas, a favorite children's entertainment - electric cars, and the signature attraction - the spinning bull. At some point the husband was ready to give up, but still held on until the end; the Vietnamese around were perplexed, since the bull threw them off almost immediately.
By the way, the slot machines in Vinpearl are not entirely new, some are even old, but you can play them. Especially when you are so inspired that there is a lot of everything around, your eyes run wild, you want to try this, and that, and the third, and at the same time you understand that one day is clearly not enough for the whole park.
Aquarium
This aquarium is truly a work of art. Very beautiful, I have never seen anything like it even in Europe. Although I was never a fan of the “fish kingdom,” I didn’t want to leave this aquarium.
The aquarium is huge - 2 floors. Very interesting design inside, good lighting. Some types of fish are simply impossible to tear yourself away from. We were especially impressed by the huge pillars and the tunnel, inside of which you can drive along a moving path. By the way, there is a real shark swimming in the tunnel, not a small one. She's probably grown even more now.
Waterpark in Nha Trang Vin Pearl
The water park on the island is modest, there are not many slides, but you can have a lot of fun. The Nha Trang water park has a changing room, showers, toilets, in general, everything is as it should be. In principle, there is nothing special about this water park, except that it is located on the seashore. That is, you can splash in the pools and fly down the slides and immediately come to the beach to sunbathe. But be careful! It's better not to go into the sea. My husband screamed at me: “Can’t you see how dirty it is at the bottom?!” - pulled out of the sea. The sea near the water park is really very polluted. The Vietnamese take drink, food, and all sorts of rubbish into the water with them, and throw it there. So, other than sitting on the shore, we wouldn’t recommend anything else. The only thing we didn’t like was that you have to pay for a storage room or carry things in bags with you. I didn’t like it because the entrance ticket is already expensive, and then you have to pay!

Vinpearl Park Map
Park map
The park is divided into several thematic zones: a water park, an aquarium, an indoor play complex, a shopping street, carousels and swings, and a family games area. At the entrance to the park there are stands with booklets, all important places are marked in them. We present to your attention an online map in Russian and English.
- The park occupies a huge territory, and it is very difficult to get around everything even in a whole day. It is better to allocate 2 days for entertainment: the first one is completely devoted to water attractions, and the second one is devoted to slides, slot machines, performances, and so on. It’s always worth coming early in the morning and preferably on a weekday, when there is no influx of local residents. The line for popular rides can be as long as several hours.
- You cannot take food or drinks with you to the island. Before entering the cable car, security checks all bags, and even a bottle of water will be taken away. The only exception is baby food (when visiting with a child): fruit puree, yoghurt, sliced fruit. On the territory you will find many inexpensive cafes and restaurants where you can eat tasty and hearty food.
- The cabin on the cable car can accommodate up to 8 people, but usually they travel half empty. Travel time to the island is 12 minutes.
- Don't forget to take beach accessories: towel, swimming trunks, swimsuit and sunscreen. If you forget something, don’t worry, there are shops near the pools where you can buy the necessary things.

On the territory of the water park there are artificial figures of animals; children love them very much and can spend, for example, a good half hour near the hippopotamus.
Extreme lovers will love the steep slides. Under number 42 On the map there are 6 multi-colored slides, each 100 m long, in a row. With a cheerful company, you can organize real downhill races here.

Every few hours a scuba diver appears in the water with food and gives the public an unforgettable show.

Attractions
In addition to numerous slides, swimming pools and an aquarium, the amusement park has a large number of attractions: roller coasters, carousels, and a Ferris wheel.
Be sure to try a ride on electric sled. A special sled for two people goes up the slope and then, under the influence of gravity, falls down along a winding track. The seats in the sled are located one behind the other, and the main one is the rear passenger - he has a lever for braking the sled.
Slot machines and 4D cinema
In the buildings of Vinpearl Park you can find rooms with slot machines. There are children's and adult game options. There is a 4D cinema nearby - here, when watching a video, a “real” wind will blow on you, droplets of rain will fall, the temperature will drop and everything will shake, like an earthquake.
Castle with children's room
The building contains kids room. Here you can put your child down for a nap or leave him in the play area under the supervision of professional park workers.

How do you like the park? Did you like it?
Oh yeah!So-so
Phu Quoc is one of the Vietnamese islands and a popular resort in the country. Thousands of tourists from all over the world go there during the season to relax among beautiful nature, sunbathe and swim in clear sea water. And in between a carefree beach holiday, you can get acquainted with the many attractions of Fukuoka. For example, visiting a cable car is an interesting and exciting event.
Ropeway (Phu Quoc): how to get there?
If you have chosen the island as the destination for your entire holiday, you will quickly reach the cable car. If you are in another resort in Vietnam, you first need to get to Phu Quoc. You can do this by plane, however, there are direct flights only from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, from other resorts - with transfers. There is another way to get from Ho Chi Minh City:
- by bus to the port city of Rach Gia,
- by ferry to the port of Phu Quoc - An Thoi.
The beginning of the Phu Quoc cable car is located in the town of An Thoi. If you are on the other end of the island, you can get to this city by taxi.
If you are vacationing on Phu Quoc Island, but far from An Thoi, the easiest way is to use the services of a travel agency. You buy an excursion, which includes delivery from your hotel to the start of the cable car, a round trip and the road to the hotel. Of course, it will be somewhat more expensive than getting there on your own. But you will travel on a comfortable tourist bus (or minibus) and avoid waiting in line.
What is a cable car?
The cable car in Phu Quoc (Vietnam) is included in the Guinness Book of Records! This attraction has no equal in the world, because the duration of the route is 7.9 km! And this is still a record among cable cars. It was built quite recently; it opened in February 2018. Construction took 2 years, and during this time investors spent about half a million dollars. But this money should quickly pay for itself, because the cable car has aroused great interest among tourists.
Cable car route: Phu Quoc Islands – Hon Dua – Hon Lo – Hon Tom. On Hon Thom Island, visitors are encouraged to get out and relax for a while. True, there is little entertainment here yet:
- beach (with sun loungers),
- sea,
- several cafes,
- attractions (water slides, jet skiing and others).
They plan to develop the entertainment infrastructure. But even now you can pleasantly spend a few hours on the beach. And if you get hungry, there is a cafe serving Vietnamese and European cuisine.
The Fukuoka cable car boasts more than just its length. This is one of the most modern buildings. A total of 6 towers were built, between which there are several cabins with a capacity of up to 30 people. The cable car passes at an altitude of up to 160 meters, and you can get a bird's eye view of the sea and islands. According to tourists who have been there, it is a breathtaking sight!
The trip will take about 20 minutes and you can spend several hours at your final destination (Hon Thom Island). A ticket costs about $20, and if you buy an excursion with delivery from the hotel and back to the hotel, as well as lunch, it will cost 2-3 times more.
What else to do in Fukuoka?
Don't limit yourself to just one cable car if you happen to come to Phu Quoc. Although it itself is a unique structure. You can also visit:
- Coconut Prison (a rather gloomy but interesting place: prisoners used to be exiled to Phu Quoc),
- natural parks,
- a pearl farm (and you can also buy beautiful pearl products),
- dog kennel (the original Ridgeback breed is raised there),
- temples.
And if you want to spend your entire vacation in Fukuoka, except for the sights and nature, be sure to take a course of spa treatments. Many hotels here offer them. This course will help you recharge and relax at the same time. You will definitely feel better after your vacation!
The Fukuoka Ropeway is another reason to visit this beautiful island with a pleasant climate!
