When a travel agency employee came to our office and offered to spend a weekend in Seoul, I immediately agreed. My friend Valya and I were just discussing the issue, where to go for the weekend. We weren’t entitled to a real vacation in the summer, but it was just in time to have an interesting weekend. I have heard many rave reviews about Seoul from my colleagues who have already visited South Korea. I especially wanted to see the Moonlight Rainbow fountain, which is considered the longest in the world.
Where to go for the weekend
Fly for the weekend And You can have a great time in Egypt or Turkey, but these countries are already familiar. Russia also has many interesting places. , welcome tourists at any time of the year. It will be very interesting for those who go there for the first time, but my friend and I wanted to go to Korea.
I'll tell you that we have never regretted our decision. fly to for the weekend. I'll only tell you what I liked the most. it is a modern city with majestic skyscrapers, green parks and beautiful embankments. It is very interesting to plunge into the atmosphere of an Asian city, to see Korean girls, boys and elderly people. They are all well dressed, polite and treat tourists well.
There is everything that can attract tourists:
- Sea and beaches.
- Mountains.
- Ancient palaces.
- Amusement parks with modern attractions.
- Shops, cafes and restaurants.
Many places have bike racks that you can rent.
Bridge-fountain “Moonlight Rainbow” my most vivid impression in Seoul. The Banpo Bridge over the Hanshui River has 2 tiers. Cars and pedestrians move along it above, and below there is a jet fountain. When we were on the observation deck of the fountain, it seemed to me that I was inside a waterfall, it was very beautiful. At night, the fountain is illuminated and the jets are painted in all the colors of the rainbow.
I also remember embankment of the Cheonggyecheon River. This river used to be concreted, and a highway passed in its place. Now it has been revived, and the polluted area of Seoul has turned into a wonderful zone comfortable for living and relaxing. On a hot day, we were able to sit on its steps and cool our feet in the river water.
In Seoul we admired the ancient pagoda-style palaces. When you look at these majestic buildings and sentries in bright Korean costumes, it seems that time has turned back.
Amusement park - the most fun page of our weekend
Why you should fly to Seoul for the weekend
In Seoul we we saw interesting places, swam in the sea, bought good jeans for ourselves and toys for the children. Korean products are of high quality, they are much better than Chinese ones. We also liked Korean cuisine, especially seafood, but it is very spicy. People are polite, but you shouldn’t wear dresses that are too revealing; here it’s considered indecent. This city is original and at the same time modern. Everything is done here for the convenience of residents and tourists.
Russia is a great country. If not by some indicators, then at least by territory. But even in the largest country in the world you will get tired of traveling. I want to go abroad, I want to discover new countries and beauties. And sometimes vacations and trips are so spontaneous (like many independent travelers) that there is simply not enough time to obtain a visa. In this case, I recommend that Russians turn their attention to the list of countries with visa-free or simplified visa entry for Russian citizens.
I have already told you. Today we’ll talk about Russians in a similar article, since most of my readers, whatever one may say, are from Russia. Map of visa-free countries for Russia
All this information is conveniently displayed on the map that I drew for my readers. Clicking on the map will open a larger copy of it. Travel for your health!
Why is the list of countries on my website smaller than on other travel websites? Everything is very simple, I take data from official documents of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which you can study too. I am confident in the reliability of the data, although I cannot guarantee it. In addition, you can check with the international Timatik base, which is used by the airline.
Where others get their information from - no idea. And I'm not interested, to be honest. Because you can refer to the Russian Foreign Ministry if your rights are violated, but you cannot refer to Petya’s or Vasya’s website. Or another option, like, for example, with the Cook Islands. Everywhere they shout that entry is without a visa, but the bummer is that there are simply no diplomatic relations between Russia and Ukraine with them, and upon arrival you may have an interview waiting for you. You can be turned around and expelled right after your arrival.

Magic words: vacation, holidays abroad, gentle sun, warm sea! When planning the route of a foreign tour, it would be a good idea to find out where Russians can go without a visa.
Don’t burden yourself with collecting documents, running around authorities, board a plane, and a few hours later plunge into the gentle sea! Luckily for us, there are states that accept us with minimal formalities

In several republics and territories of the former USSR, Russian citizens will only need a general passport, this is:
- Abkhazia is a wonderful place to relax. The beautiful pebble sea beaches of Gagra, the unique protected Cape Pitsunda, the high-altitude Lake Ritsa, relict plants and ruins of medieval defensive towers, the monastery in New Athos - Abkhazia has something to surprise the most sophisticated tourist.
- Belarus is our closest neighbor; in the summer it gives you the opportunity to bask on the sandy beaches of Lake Naroch, raft along the Augustow Canal, in the winter you can visit Zyuzia in Belovezhskaya Pushcha, and all year round in sanatoriums with excellent service.
- Kazakhstan will provide vacation at any time of the year. Year-round resorts, ski resorts, fishing tourism, mountain tourism - you can choose many destinations.
- Kyrgyzstan - if in terms of architectural monuments it is inferior to neighboring countries, then in terms of natural beauty it is difficult to compare with it. The Tien Shan and Pamirs, the northernmost seven-thousand-meter peak Pobeda Peak and the mountain lake Issyk-Kul attract travelers.
Moreover, in three of them Russians are allowed to stay for 90 days, in Belarus - 30. Another big plus is the knowledge of the Russian language by the local population.
Nearby areas are a good option for a “weekend tour”
In the remaining 7 former Soviet republics you will need a foreign passport:
- Up to 90 days of stay are allowed: Azerbaijan, Moldova, Ukraine.
- Up to six months: Armenia.
- Up to a year: Georgia.
- No time limit: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan.
ATTENTION! Tourists who visited Abkhazia or South Ossetia (stay note in the passport) will have problems crossing the Georgian border - entry from Abkhazia to Georgia is prohibited. Those who have visited Nagorno-Karabakh are prohibited from entering Azerbaijan, as are ethnic Armenians.
Uzbekistan cannot boast of sea beaches, but even without them it is difficult to get bored in this country. The modern metropolis of Tashkent, which has preserved the flavor of the Middle Ages, Samarkand, Bukhara, Urgench, demonstrate the creations of modern architects and architectural monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
In Europe without Schengen
The situation with visiting European tourism centers is somewhat more complicated; only 4 countries accept Russians with a foreign passport:
- Bosnia and Herzegovina (90);
- Macedonia (180);
- Serbia (30);
- Montenegro (30).
Montenegro is one of the states formed after the collapse of the SFRY - Yugoslavia. A clear sea, deep canyons of mountain rivers, a combination of features of Muslim and Romanesque architecture in architecture, world-famous museums of modern art - all this awaits you in Montenegro.
An interesting situation with Greek resorts. Schengen is a must for a trip to Greece, since it is one of the EU members. But a way has been found to visit there without registering: vacation on the islands located off the coast of Turkey:
- Cycladic islands Mykonos and Santorini;
- Rhodes;
- Lesvos;
- Chios;
We get a visa to visit the islands on a Turkish ferry.
In other European countries that are members of the EU, Schengen in foreign passports is required.
ATTENTION: in Poland, Latvia and Norway, visa-free entry is allowed for residents of areas adjacent to the border for a stay of 2 weeks - in Norway and Poland, up to 90 days - in Latvia.

Egypt is one of the favorite tourist destinations of Russians. The beaches of the Red Sea, the grandiose pyramids, the majestic Nile rising from the sands of Luxor, the richest collections of museums - unlimited opportunities for beach and educational tourism.
Nepal is a Mecca for climbers, but not only conquerors of eight-thousanders go there. Ancient cities, Buddhist monasteries, original cultures of peoples, national parks with unique flora and rare animals will be of interest to lovers of active recreation.
Tanzania. Under the shadow of the eternal snows of Kilimanjaro, covered in the literary glory of Hemingway. Amazing: the highest peak of Africa is the dormant volcano Kilimanjaro, the lowest point of the African continent is at the bottom of the island. Tanganyika, Lake Victoria with the largest area in Africa, and the sandy beaches of the Indian Ocean.
ATTENTION: entry without a visa does not mean free, you will have to pay, sometimes a lot of money - depending on the country and length of stay.
Flying inexpensively without a visa: is it real?
There are many opportunities to buy plane tickets at significant discounts. As a rule, major air carriers periodically organize sales, and then you can buy a ticket to anywhere in the world for half the price. Cheap air tickets purchased in advance plus purchasing a promotional tour plus traveling to a country with relatively low prices - all this will allow you to save a significant amount.
Countries where you can really relax inexpensively:
- Abkhazia;
- Vietnam;
- Georgia;
- Egypt;
- Israel;
- India;
- Kenya;
- Cyprus;
- Cuba;
- Morocco;
- Serbia;
- Thailand;
- Türkiye;
- Tunisia;
- Montenegro.
Vietnam is becoming increasingly popular among tourists from different countries: a coastline more than 3 thousand kilometers long for lovers of beach tourism, leisurely rivers for lovers of water rafting, hiking and cycling routes, large cities and architectural monuments of past centuries can satisfy any tourist.
Budget travelers should pay attention to Cuba. Before the revolution, Cuban beaches were a favorite vacation spot for Americans. Now there are no Americans there, but wonderful beaches, clean seas, rich fishing, and excellent surfing opportunities remain.
Holidays on Turkish beaches are attracting an increasing number of beach lovers “dolce far niente”. In addition to the sea coast with world-famous resorts, the country has many historical and cultural monuments of different eras from the Neolithic to the present day, and excellent museums.
Did you have a 2-3-5 day break from work? We definitely need a change of scenery! Flying on vacation abroad without a visa on a “weekend tour” is not difficult; within 2-3 hours of summer there are beaches and sanatoriums in the following countries:
- Abkhazia;
- Azerbaijan;
- Armenia;
- Belarus;
- Georgia;
- Egypt;
- Israel;
- Cyprus;
- Montenegro.
For winter holidays, you can go to the ski resorts:
- Abkhazia;
- Azerbaijan;
- Armenia;
- Georgia;
- Kazakhstan.

Parting words
In order for you to remember your vacation trip only with positive emotions, when purchasing a tour or before departure, you need to clarify the conditions of your stay in the country you have chosen for your vacation. If your trip requires a transfer in a third country, check the conditions and cost of a transit visa.
But that’s not all: you need to find out whether you have any “arrears” in your home country - whether all fines for illegal parking and speeding have been paid, whether there are any debts on bank loans. Otherwise, you may not be allowed to leave the country as a willful defaulter. Lately a lot has been said in the press about medical insurance for tourists: it is better to protect yourself in case of an unforeseen situation or accident.
Ecology of life: In any unclear situation, go to the sea. And to make it easier to decide, we chose countries where there is a minimum of fuss with documents, and maximum sea and sun. We exchange the rustle of papers for the rustle of the surf at the best rate!
9 best places for a beach holiday with the motto “pick up and fly away”
Turkey
In one trip to Turkey you can visit Europe and Asia, swim in the four seas, find yourself in the Land of Beautiful Horses, find a real treasure in an oriental bazaar and lose the sense of time and space on the travertine terraces of Pamukkale.

There are more than enough amazing beaches in Turkey: get to know the seven best according to a local resident or create your own top. Gentle waves and golden sands come with vibrant summer entertainment. Just don’t forget that the sea in the north warms up later, so connoisseurs of ancient ruins rather than beaches often go to the Black Sea coast of Turkey. The Sea of Marmara is more conducive to an active (or vice versa - as you prefer!) beach holiday, but the water before the beginning of June is still too invigorating. The generally recognized “sun bath” of Turkey is, of course, the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea in the south. Here, the infrastructure of eternal summer is thought out to the smallest detail, and everyone will find a place to their liking - some in a sun lounger, some on the crest of a wave. For beginner divers, the Aegean Sea coast is ideal, extreme sports enthusiasts can enjoy rafting on mountain rivers, and romantics can enjoy a yacht trip, which at night can result in a foam party right on the deck. But there are also water parks that easily blur the line between children and adults! Champions of splashing emotions include Dedeman in Bodrum, Aqua Fantasy in Izmir and Water Planet in Alanya. And when you get tired of unbridled fun, welcome to the hammam for peace and renewal.
What about the visa? The Republic of Turkey is hospitable to residents of Russia: you can vacation in the country without a visa and fees for up to 60 days, and to stay for another 3 months, you just need to pay 149 Turkish lira.
South Korea
Still want to relax “not like everyone else”? Then head to South Korea, framed on three sides by the beaches of the Yellow, Japanese and East China Seas.
Residents of Seoul love to sunbathe on the east coast of the country, especially since it is so easy to combine a beach holiday here with health care and cultural experiences. The city of Sokcho, for example, is famous for the Cheoksan spa resort with hot springs, the Seoraksan Mountain Nature Park, as well as the three-story Hyangseongsaji Pagoda of the 8th century and the Buddhist monastery of Sinheungsa of the 18th century. People go to another popular South Korean resort - Gangneung - not only for a golden tan, but also to admire the bizarre Muryn gorge and Guryong Waterfall, which looks like it came out of a classic Chinese miniature.
The peak of solar activity in South Korea is observed on the tangerine island of Jeju and on the “cow island” of Udo, 3.5 km to the east (Koreans see a cow on the map lying down to rest, hence the name). Every conceivable beach activity is included, but crowds of tourists are also here. If this is a big minus for you, take a closer look at the snow-white beaches of the Yellow Sea in the southwest of the country. The country's official tourism website (in Russian) will help you navigate the main resorts of South Korea.
What about the visa? You can enjoy a beach holiday in South Korea for at least 60 days in a row - and you don’t need a visa! But what you need is a valid passport and ease of mind.
Maldives
What unites Anastasia Volochkova, David Beckham, divers and newlyweds? Of course, love for the Maldives. Anomalous activity discovered at this year-round resort: life-changing!
In the Maldives, it is equally wonderful to explore the underwater world with scuba diving and admire the shades of the sky with an exotic cocktail. Here you can still find a secluded beach and corners of untouched nature, even despite the abundance of luxury hotels, romantic villas, pretentious restaurants and spas. In fact, there are so many hotels on the islands that some don’t even have enough space on the shore.
The beaches of North Male Atoll are closest to the airport. Ari Atoll is famous for its calm sea, convenient access to coral reefs and proximity to marine reserves. 130 km south of Male, on the snow-white sands and clear waters of Miimu Atoll, giant sea turtles are registered, and on the southernmost islands of the Maldives - Addu Atoll - you can occasionally get a certificate of crossing the equator.

What about the visa? The gates of heaven open easily: a free visa to the Maldives for 30 days is issued to Russians right at Male airport.
Cyprus
Lying by the pool, knowing that two steps away are ruins with a thousand-year history, is impossible / doubly pleasant (underline as appropriate). Aphrodite herself must have endowed this island with the ability to make people fall in love with her.
To reinterpret the saying, we can say about Cyprus: as many people, as many beaches. For example, Nissi Beach in Ayia Napa is created for youth parties and resort dating, and the beach of Fig Tree Bay in the same Ayia Napa is ideal for relaxing with children. The quiet picturesque village of Protaras is also famous for its excellent conditions for a family holiday, and there is also an elite Sunrise with luxury hotels and Konnos Bay, which will appeal to lovers of a secluded holiday. Don’t forget about the obligatory point of the program - lose a couple of years by swimming in Aphrodite’s Bay between Limassol and Paphos. By the way, they say that lovers who swim together around the rocks of the goddess of love will never part.
If you can tear yourself away from your sun lounger, it's worth thrilling yourself on the uncompromising attractions of Water World or diving to the sunken ship. And the best way to wash down your impressions is with the royal Commandaria wine!

What about the visa? Obtaining a single-entry electronic pro-visa for Cyprus takes only one day. With it you can sunbathe under the hot Cypriot sun for up to 90 days in a row. If you plan to enter Cyprus several times within six months, applying for a multiple-entry visa at the consulate is also easy.
Montenegro
On the coast of Montenegro, in addition to the warm, clear sea from June to October, you will find medieval fortresses, Venetian palaces, Christian monasteries and Turkish aqueducts. Near the town of Herceg Novi, in the resort of Igalo, you can pamper yourself with spa treatments with healing mud. It’s worth devoting at least a couple of days to the continental part of Montenegro: inhale the aromas of a pine forest in the stunning Durmitor National Park with crystal lakes and the Tara River gorge, or get out to Lake Skadar, along the banks of which ancient fortresses and monasteries are scattered.

Diving, rafting, trekking - whatever attracts you during your summer holidays, the Montenegrin resorts of the Bay of Kotor and the Adriatic are at your service. Choose a beach you like - and go ahead, relax alone with nature!

What about the visa? If you are traveling to Montenegro for less than a month, you will not need a visa.
Abkhazia
Down with language barriers! You can safely travel to hospitable and in every sense warm Abkhazia with children without knowing foreign languages and even without a foreign passport. The only thing: be careful not to accidentally end up on Georgian territory.
However, you are unlikely to want to leave Abkhazia at all: the pebble beaches of Gagra, Pitsunda and Gudauta are clean, serene and uncrowded, time has no power over the beauty of Lake Ritsa, the number of balneological boarding houses is only growing, and salmon with trout and horse mackerel with sturgeon in the local rivers and the Cherny the sea is not translated.

The thirst of hunters for cultural impressions will be quenched by New Athos with the famous monastery and Sukhumi with Bagrat Castle, the Kelasur Wall and the ancient botanical garden. And there will definitely be no problems with satisfying your appetite in the region where mamalyga, mint cheese ashvchapan and adjika were invented. And you know what, it’s still worth learning one word in the Abkhaz language: tell the locals “itabup” - “thank you” - they will be pleased!
What about the visa? To enter Abkhazia, Russians do not need a visa or a foreign passport (an ordinary one is sufficient). Fly to Adler, from where it is only 10 km along the Psou River to the Abkhazian border. At border control you will need to take out compulsory accident insurance in the amount of 30,000 rubles. The insurance premium upon entry for 1 day is 15 rubles, and if you stay longer, 10 rubles for each day of stay in Abkhazia. Read more about the beauties and beaches on the official tourism website of Abkhazia.
Israel
Do you feel that both your soul and body need healing? Then Israel is just what the doctor ordered. Maybe local attractions are a placebo, but they still work!
Sea adventures in Israel can begin already in reckless and party-oriented Tel Aviv. The local Mediterranean coast has all the conditions for sports recreation: on Gordon Beach, opposite the Sheraton Hotel, you can play tennis and volleyball, and Hilton Beach is popular with surfers. Life is in full swing on the port beach of Hof HaMetzitzim, about which even a movie was made: here you will find a colorful market, trendy bars, and designer boutiques - all within walking distance from a beach umbrella. And the calmest beaches in Tel Aviv are Alma in the south, near ancient Jaffa, and Banana Beach, where locals like to relax with the whole family, but it never feels crowded.
The Red Sea is warmer than the Mediterranean, so the real resort splendor of Israel is revealed in Eilat. The local pearl is the coral beach of Hof Almog. In its southern part, closer to Egyptian Taba, kite surfers catch the wind, and the north of the beach is created for dives that you will tell your grandchildren about.
If you want to forget about your problems and feel complete peace, go to the Dead Sea. You will hardly learn to walk on water, but you can try yourself in the role of Benjamin Button: rejuvenation at the local salt and mud resorts is guaranteed. On the road, here are a few more ideas on what to combine with a beach holiday in Israel.
What about the visa? Residents of Russia can enter Israel without a visa as much as they want, the main thing is to spend no more than 90 days in the country in total over six months. Just make sure that your passport is valid for 6 months from the date of arrival, and prepare documents that may be useful at the border.
Morocco
So far, the Russians have tried only two Moroccan resorts - Agadir and Essaouira, both on the shores of the Atlantic. If you are not too lazy to drive 160 km to the south, you will take such a selfie against the backdrop of the red rocks of Legzira that you have never had so many “likes” before. And if you are ready for more for a rare experience, go to Dakhla. The water in the ocean here is +25 °C all year round, and instead of crowds of tourists there are rare monk seals and a flock of surfers who compare Foum Labouir beach with Hawaii. Here you can have great fishing or rent an SUV and go deeper into Western Sahara to experience the life of real nomads - such a vacation will not be forgotten! And to save money on your vacation, take a look at the newly opened resorts north of Agadir - Taghazout, Mazagan and Lixous.
There are also secluded beaches on the Mediterranean coast of Morocco. Take a closer look at the picturesque carved strip between Tangier and Al Hoceima: the sea here is gentle, and many beaches, along with quiet fishing villages, are surrounded by paradise greenery. If you prefer an all-inclusive holiday, you'll love the new Tamuda Bay resort near Tetouan and Saidia in Berkane, close to the Algerian border. Opposite Spanish Andalusia, by the way, lies the huge tourist complex Mediterrania-Saidia with a yacht club and golf course.

In addition to a beach holiday, it is worth visiting the capital of Morocco Rabat (the minimum program is the Royal Palace and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V), Marrakesh (what will captivate you - the Old Town “Medina” or the new Ville Nouvelle district?), Casablanca (maybe you will hear echoes of cinematic passions ) and Fese (especially good for leisurely walks through the gardens and a cup of mint tea in a cute cafe). We also recommend getting lost in the blue labyrinths of mountainous Chefchaouen, which was included in the top of the brightest cities in the world according to Skyscanner. Bonus for fans of “Game of Thrones” and other epic film masterpieces: some scenes with the Mother of Dragons were filmed in the medieval ksar of Ait Ben Haddou.
What about the visa? Russian citizens can vacation in Morocco for up to 90 days in a row without a visa, but their passport must be valid until the end of the trip. On the plane you will need to fill out a migration card.
Madagascar
“Well, I asked, don’t bother me when I’m dreaming. If I’m all in the astral plane, don’t interfere!” - striped Marty said to his friend the lion Alex. Make sure that the cartoon island of Madagascar really exists, and no one will forbid you to make your dreams come true here.
During your holiday on the fourth largest island in the world, you will be accompanied by motley lemurs, motley geckos, beak-breasted turtles, panther chameleons, pharaoh mice and - now attention! - hands ah-ah. If you think that these are all the surprises of nature that await you in Madagascar, that’s not the case. Landscapes on the island reserve follow each other, as if in a kaleidoscope: you’ve just been walking among the baobab trees, when suddenly you find yourself near a rice field or a dormant volcano. To one side is a sun-dried valley, turn your head and in front of you are evergreen mangroves. Here is the stone forest of Tsingy de Bemaraja, here are the graceful orchids of the Montagne d'Ambre Park, and here is the fabulous azure coast with white sand.

The west and north of Madagascar are perfect for a beach holiday in summer: precipitation is rare here, the water off the coast of Morondava never gets cooler than +25 ºС, and on the island of Nosy Be there is always saturated humid air, heated to a comfortable +26-28 ºС. If you have a hard time with humidity, go to the resorts of the Anakao Peninsula in the southwest: here the climate is semi-desert with a fresh breeze. On the famous island of Sainte-Marie (Nosy-Boraha, also known as Ile Sainte-Marie), sunny weather most often lasts from late August to December (in July-September you can also watch whales). If you travel further south along the eastern coast, to the coral beach of Fulpoint (Mahavelona), keep in mind that it is safe to swim only in the hotel area: behind the reefs there are real sharks. Prices, it should be noted, are also steep, especially in the south of the city - do not hesitate to bargain.
What about the visa? A 30-day visa is issued upon arrival and does not cost a penny. If you want to spend up to 90 days on the island, a single or multiple-entry visa will be issued to you at the Embassy of Madagascar in Moscow for 77 €. published
