Inability to make a pre-paid trip in the following cases:
- acute illness of the Insured or a close relative requiring hospitalization or, in the opinion of the Insured's attending physician, preventing the completion of a pre-paid trip;
- injury received by the Insured as a result of an accident and, according to the decision of the clinical expert commission or in the opinion of the Insured's attending physician, preventing the completion of a pre-paid trip;
- death of the Insured, a close relative of the Insured or a close relative of the spouse of the Insured;
- the need to care for a close relative of the Insured or a close relative of the spouse of the Insured in connection with an acute illness or injury that occurred during the insurance period, confirmed by a certificate of incapacity for work or a conclusion from the attending physician;

Early interruption of a trip in the following cases:
- evacuation of the Insured before the end of the trip stipulated by the contract for travel services, according to a medical prescription to the place of permanent residence, organized and/or agreed upon by the Service Company or a representative of the Insurer;
- early return from a trip due to the death of a close relative of the insured or a close relative of the spouse of the insured;
- damage that makes further operation impossible, or destruction of real estate or a car belonging to the Insured or the spouse of the Insured, due to:
- fire (fire means the occurrence of a fire outside the places intended for starting and maintaining it);
- flooding with water from water supply, sewer and heating systems;
- harm caused by third parties;
- summoning the Insured to court as a witness or juror, official notification of which was received after the start of the Insured's trip.
What to do if you cannot go on a planned trip
If you cannot carry out your planned trip for one of the above reasons, you must report the insured event to VSK in writing.
VSK will reimburse you for the actual expenses incurred for the purchased tour in accordance with the contract for tourist services, minus the amounts returned by the travel organization.
To pay insurance compensation you must provide:
- a written statement containing complete information about the Insured Event;
- original Insurance policy;
- a receipt for the receipt order for payment of services under the contract for the provision of tourist services or another document confirming full payment for the tour;
- a receipt for payment of the consular fee if it was not included in the agreement with tourism organization;
- contract for the provision of tourist services;
- written confirmation from the tourist organization of the amount of penalties withheld in accordance with the contract (requested from the travel agency);
- and
- if it is impossible to make a trip due to an acute illness or injury of the Insured - an extract from the medical history (in the case of inpatient treatment), the conclusion of a clinical expert commission on the period during which the planned trip is contraindicated for the Insured, indicating the timing;
- if it is impossible to make a trip due to the death of the Insured or his/her close relative - a notarized copy of the death certificate; documents confirming the relationship of the Insured with the deceased;
- if it is impossible to make a trip due to the need to care for close relatives of the Insured - a notarized copy of the certificate of incapacity for work or the conclusion of the attending physician on how long the relative of the Insured needs unqualified care, as well as documents confirming the relationship of the Insured with the sick person;
