Zhuliany Airport (Kyiv): how to get to the city and back
The airport was founded in 1924. It is curious that its official name is not "Zhulyany" at all, but "Kyiv", but among the people it was called that by its location. At the moment, its passenger traffic is much lower than in Boryspil - mainly charter flights and low-cost airlines arrive here. There are two terminals (A and D), and terminal B does not serve flights. Zhuliany Airport is located just 10 km from the center of Kyiv, so getting there will not be any problem. Public transport hours: 6:30 - 22:30.
Shuttle taxi
This is the cheapest way to get there from the railway station in Kyiv to Zhuliany airport. The following buses run:
- No. 805 (169). Landing takes place near the main exit of the South Station, the interval between routes is 11 minutes, the fare is 8 UAH. Travel time 10 min. Get off at the station "Volynskaya", and from there 500 meters on foot to the terminals. Opening hours 6:20 - 22:15.
- No. 368. Landing takes place near the main exit of the South Station, the interval between routes is 16 minutes, the fare is 12 UAH. Travel time 10 min. Get off at the station "Volynskaya", and from there 500 meters on foot to the terminals. Opening hours 6:30 - 20:15.
Use the same transport from the airport to the railway station. The stop is located on the right side of the central exit on Povitroflotny Prospekt, opposite the Zhuliany Hotel.
Before other districts of Kyiv can be reached by the following taxis:

Another convenient option to get from the central railway station of Kyiv to Zhuliany airport is an electric train. You need to get off at the Kyiv-Volynsky station. There are many trains and they run quite often - about every 5-10 minutes.
To get to the train station, you need to go straight from the airport, cross Povitroflotsky Avenue and go without turning anywhere - after 300 meters there will be a station.
trolleybus
There are two trolleybuses:
- No. 22 on the route Kyiv Airport - Olzhicha Street (via Shulyavska and Dorohozhychi metro stations). The terminal is in front of Terminal B.
- No. 9 on the route Airport "Kyiv" - metro station Lev Tolstoy Square.
Taxi
The most comfortable way is, of course, a taxi. The cost from the railway station will be 60-100 UAH. depending on the time of day and service, the same number - from the airport to Kyiv. You can order a taxi in advance on the website - it's convenient and safe.
Another very important nuance for those who fly to Zhuliany airport. After the Wizzair company relocated there, the passenger traffic became much larger. Sometimes the queues reach the point that people have to stand on the street waiting for registration. I hope this little information will be useful and help you better plan your trip.
