Today, at the Alabino training ground (Moscow region), a draw for teams participating in the international competitions “Tank Biathlon” and “Suvorov Onslaught” took place. Representatives of 17 countries took part in it, said the chief judge of the International Army Games, Major General Yevgeny Poplavsky.

Five teams representing Russia, Venezuela, Iran, Kazakhstan and China will take part in the Suvorov Onslaught competition. The DOSAAF team of the Russian Federation will perform at the competition outside the standings. The Russian team will compete in races on BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, which will take place on July 30, August 2 and 6.
The competitions will start on July 30 with an individual race, during which the three best crews of a tank and an infantry fighting vehicle will be determined. Based on the sum of the results shown by the crews, the 12 best teams will be determined. They will continue to compete in the semi-final relay, after which four best teams will reach the finals, said Major General Yevgeny Poplavsky.

On this moment teams take part in qualifying competitions, where the strongest and most experienced Russian crews will be identified, which will have to participate in the main starts. As before, the main rivals of Russian crews will be teams from Belarus, Kazakhstan and China.
For the fourth year now, the most spectacular army competitions, the international tank biathlon, have been taking place at the Alabino training ground, near Moscow.
