To the airport - almost free. The cheapest ways to get to Vnukovo, Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo. The cheapest ways to get to Vienna: by plane, bus, train Where is the cheapest place to fly
TV channel "360" told how you can get to Moscow air harbors without Aeroexpress trains and taxis
Getting to the airport by car through Friday traffic jams and not missing your flight is an almost impossible mission. Therefore, frequent flyers in Moscow and the Moscow region quickly became accustomed to Aeroexpress trains. True, tickets for these electric trains are not so cheap - 470 rubles per person one way. But if you have a little time, but no money, we offer options to save some money. For example, did you know that you can get to Sheremetyevo for only 50 rubles? It's cheaper to just walk.
How to get to Domodedovo Airport?
Of course, the fastest way to get us from the Paveletsky station is by Aeroexpress - a 40-minute ride for 470 rubles. By the way, if you buy a ticket online and not at the box office, it will cost 420 rubles.
But few people know that a regular train runs from the neighboring platform of the same Paveletsky station, which costs only 102 rubles. Travel with stops for half an hour longer. We check the schedule on the local trains website.
But there is no need to check the bus schedule. Route 308 from the Domodedovskaya metro station runs every 15 minutes. And it costs exactly 100 rubles (120 if you go by minibus). You will spend half an hour on the road without traffic jams, but during rush hour this time can be safely multiplied by two.
How to get to Vnukovo airport?
With Aeroexpress everything is clear - the prices are the same. As for budget trains, they run from Kievsky Station. We arrive in 35 minutes to Tolstopaltsevo station (61 rubles) and take minibus 668 (fare 30 rubles). As a result, we will get to the airport for 90 rubles and spend an hour on the road.
In addition, if you are not afraid of traffic jams on the Kievskoye Highway, you can take a bus (No. 611, No. 611c) or a minibus (No. 45). They run on schedule from Yugo-Zapadnaya and arrive directly at the terminals. We pay 30 and 100 rubles for tickets, respectively.
How to get to Sheremetyevo Airport?
In addition to the express train, you can also get there by train from Savyolovsky station. We go to Lobnya (for 82 rubles) and then transfer to bus 21. The travel time is a little over an hour, the total cost is a little more than a hundred rubles.
You can also get there by bus - from the River Station (No. 949) or Planernaya (No. 948). Travel time is 50 minutes without traffic jams, the cost is 30 rubles per passenger, in addition, minibuses have not been canceled either, they are just more expensive.
To Sheremetyevo airport for 50 rubles
And finally, a little-known life hack. When Aeroexpress trains, trains and regular buses stop running, a night bus takes to the road. Route H1 starts at 1 am from Ozernaya Street, travels along Leninsky Prospekt to the center and then goes to Leningradka. Along the way he makes stops at each metro station. It costs only 50 rubles. At the same time, he arrives directly at the airport. Important: the last bus from Ozernaya Street leaves at 5:30 am.
We studied information about how to fly to Thailand cheaply. We'll tell you how much a ticket to Thailand costs, when is the best time to buy it, and how to get to Thailand on your own without spending a lot of money.
The article was written primarily for travelers who plan to fly to Thailand on their own, rather than going on a tour. It will be useful both for those traveling one way and for those interested in round-trip tickets.
Let's start!
To search and compare prices, we personally use air ticket search engines - Aviasales and Skyscanner. There are enough of them to find the lowest prices for tickets to Thailand, and both sites have convenient functionality that makes searching easier (price calendars, ticket cost statistics, etc.)
- Where is the cheapest place to fly?
- Overview/price examples
- Lifehacks and tips for finding tickets
- Tickets via a third country
- Tours and packages
- Airline sales and promotions
- Price tracking
1. Where is the cheapest place to fly?
Direct flights from Russia to Thailand are carried out only in two directions - to Bangkok and Phuket. These are the cities that are cheapest to fly to – both direct flights and flights with transfers.
Airplanes fly to Bangkok more often and, as a rule, tickets there are cheaper. Phuket is, in general, more expensive to get to, but flight options often appear with approximately the same price as to Bangkok.
What if I want to go to another resort?
Some Thai resorts can be reached by purchasing a separate ticket for a domestic flight - this way you can fly to Samui, Krabi, etc.
Other cities can be reached by land (for example, a transfer from Bangkok to Pattaya takes only 2 hours).
2. Cost of tickets to Thailand from Moscow and St. Petersburg
The cheapest tickets to Bangkok are usually from January to May, and to Phuket from February to June.
2.1 Direct flights
Direct flights between Moscow and Phuket are operated by Aeroflot, Azur Air and Nordwind Airlines, and to Bangkok only by Aeroflot and THAI Airways.
At the same time, it’s unlikely to be possible to fly to Thailand inexpensively: direct flights are usually 20-30% more expensive than flights with transfers.
From Moscow to Bangkok
Prices for flights from Moscow to Bangkok start from 24,500 rubles, but most options range from 26,000-27,000 rubles.
From Moscow to Phuket
Tickets for direct flights to Phuket cost a minimum of 29,000 rubles.
From Saint-Petersburg
It is impossible to fly to Thailand cheaply on a direct flight from St. Petersburg: tickets to Bangkok cost from 40,000 rubles and, in general, rarely appear on sale. Prices for flights to Phuket start from 56,000 rubles.
2.2 Flights with transfers
For those looking for a cheap way to get to Thailand, the best option would be a flight with transfers. Most airlines fly this way, and it is easier to find such tickets.
The following companies fly with transfers:
- Qatar Airways – with a transfer in Doha (Qatar);
- Etihad – connection in Abu Dhabi (UAE)
- Emirates and Flydubai – fly through Dubai (UAE)
- China Southern – via Guangzhou (China)
- Turkish Airlines – with a transfer in Istanbul (Türkiye)
- Finnair – Helsinki (Finland)
- and some others
When choosing flights, pay attention to the duration of the transfer: sometimes you come across good-priced tickets, but with a travel time of 35-40 hours.
From Moscow
The cost of a flight from Moscow starts from 20,900 rubles, but the flight duration is not the most convenient (16-30 hours). At prices starting from 22,800 rubles, you can find options with a flight to Bangkok in 13-15 hours. Flying to Phuket will be 1000-2000 rubles more expensive.
From St. Petersburg
Tickets from St. Petersburg to Bangkok with transfers cost from 24,500 rubles, but for that price the flight time will be 18-20 hours or more. Prices for short flights start from 27,000-28,000 rubles.
You can find even cheaper tickets to Phuket (from 22,000 rubles), but good options cost about the same as to Bangkok.
For a more visual search for cheap air tickets, use the calendar:
- Look for tickets in advance– it is advisable to buy them 2-3 months before departure, and you can start your search even earlier. The closer to departure, the higher the price.
- Experiment with departure dates: a ticket for neighboring dates can sometimes be one and a half times cheaper.
- View airline promotions– there are good offers there. You can view them.
- View tickets to other locations– cities in Thailand or nearby countries. An alternative option is to look for tickets not from your city (even if there is an airport there), but from a larger one located nearby (for the central part of Russia - from Moscow and St. Petersburg, for the regions - from Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, etc.). S7 airline has direct flights to Thailand from many cities in Siberia and the Far East.
- Keep track of ticket prices on the desired dates or date range through the aviasales service - as soon as the price drops, a notification about this will be sent to your email. This is relevant if you started your search in advance and are willing to wait some time before making a purchase.
A few nuances worth paying attention to:
- a round-trip ticket usually costs 30-40% cheaper than separate round-trip tickets
- If you decide to fly to Thailand with one ticket and return with another, remember that without a return ticket in hand, Thai border guards may simply not let you into the country
- The cost of flights is usually higher when Thailand is in tourist season - that is, in late autumn and winter
- tickets for New Year's dates are always the most expensive of the year

3.1 Tickets through a third country
Sometimes you can fly to Thailand cheaper if you look for tickets through a third country - for example, Malaysia or Vietnam. The method often works for one-way tickets, but sometimes there are also good round-trip options.
Low prices for tickets to a third country may be due to the seasonality of holidays there or to airline promotions on certain flight routes.
In this case, you can fly cheaply, for example, to Kuala Lumpur, and from there get inexpensive tickets to Phuket through a low-cost airline. In total, such a flight may be cheaper than a direct ticket to Phuket.
In our experience, it is easier to find flights from low-cost airlines on Skyscanner, but there are also options on Aviasales.
Where to look for flights:
- Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam)
- Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia)
- Hong Kong
- Singapore
The last time we saved money this way: we flew to the north of Thailand and the flight to Bangkok cost more (22,000 rubles) than a ticket to Hong Kong (14,000 rubles) + a ticket from Hong Kong to Chiang Mai (6,000 rubles). In addition, we had the opportunity to see Hong Kong.

3.2 Tours and vouchers instead of tickets
Another tricky way to fly to Thailand cheaply is to buy not an air ticket, but a ready-made tour to the desired destination. Sometimes the cost of a trip (especially a last-minute one) can be significantly lower than the price of a ticket for a regular flight. There are cases when a trip costs less than a one-way ticket.
An article about ways to get to China from Russia.
One of the first questions when planning an independent trip around the Middle Kingdom is how to get to China. Transport costs often account for up to half of the total cost of the trip. First of all, you should decide for yourself which region of China you are going to visit. Based on this, you can plan how to get there. There are several options for getting to China from Russia: by plane, by train, by bus.
How to get to China from Russia on your own?
1. By plane from Russia to China
Aeroflot, S7, Air China, China Southern, and China Eastern Airlines fly regularly from Russia to China. Flights operate from many Russian cities. The largest selection is, of course, from Moscow: you can fly to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Urumqi and many other cities. Round-trip prices start from 17,000 rubles. for a flight with a transfer, and from 19,000 rubles. for direct flights. You can also fly from Novosibirsk to Urumqi for 11,000 rubles, to Beijing for 19,000 rubles. The cheapest flights to China from Khabarovsk and Vladivostok: to Beijing - 12,000 rubles. round trip, to Harbin - 9,000 rubles, to Shanghai - 16,000 rubles.
There are promotions and sales - you can get a ticket even cheaper. At the height of the tourist season, on the contrary, prices rise. So it’s better to buy a plane ticket in advance or on special offer. You can find the cheapest plane tickets to China by searching in the form below. The system itself will select air tickets for more than 700 airlines and many reservation systems.
To buy the cheapest plane tickets, read where the main ways to save on buying an air ticket are discussed.
Airplanes fly within China very often and in any direction, so you can always quickly fly even to a small town by making a transfer in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, etc.
2. By train from Russia to China
Getting to China by train is quite easy, but long. There are two trains from Moscow to Beijing. Train No. 043 transits through Mongolia, so you will need a transit visa for this country. It runs once a week on Tuesdays, travel time is 132 hours, cost is about 9,000 rubles. for a reserved seat and this price is growing. Another train No. 020 travels through Zabaikalsk directly to China (i.e., bypassing Mongolia). It runs once a week on Saturdays, travel time is 145 hours, the cost is even more expensive than the previous one.
A train runs from Almaty to Urumqi once a week, travel time is 35 hours, cost is 5,000 rubles.
3. By bus from Russia to China
Several buses run from Russia's Far Eastern border cities to China.
To summarize, we can say that for residents of Moscow, St. Petersburg and the central regions of Russia, the best option to get to China is by plane. You can save money only by hitchhiking to Zabaikalsk or Blagoveshchensk)). For residents of the Urals and Western Siberia, a bus from the cities of Kazakhstan is a good option. For residents of the Far East, it is also most convenient to cross the border with China by bus, and then by train across China.
How to get to China from Kazakhstan?
Now let's look at how to get to China from Kazakhstan, because many people from this country read us.
1. By plane from Kazakhstan to China
You can take a direct flight to China from Almaty and Astana using Air Astana and China Southern. The event is quite expensive, but it’s quick - just an hour and a half and you’re in Urumqi. Flights to Beijing, Guangzhou, Nanjing are also available, but with a transfer to Urumqi.
It is best to search for air tickets on metasearch engines, for example or.
I also advise you to look and subscribe to, sometimes you can catch good prices!
2. By train from Kazakhstan to China
The train from Kazakhstan to China runs from Astana and Almaty. Moreover, I was unable to find out the exact price for these trains; the Kazakhstan Railways website does not show them and, unfortunately, you cannot buy tickets for these trains there.
Train No. 54C runs from Astana to Urumqi on Saturdays; the journey takes a little over 40 hours.
There are two trains from Almaty: No. 014C on Tuesdays (travel time 31 hours) and No. 014 T on Sundays (travel time 31 hours). The cost for them is 20,000 tenge. This is what they told me at the Almaty railway station information desk. Not very budget friendly!
3. By bus from Kazakhstan to China
As mentioned above, many buses run from the cities of eastern Kazakhstan to Urumqi and some other cities of the XUAR.
From Semey (Semipalatinsk) the bus to Urumqi runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, travel time is 30 hours, cost is 9,000 tenge.
From Ust-Kamenogorsk the schedule and price are the same.
From Almaty The bus to Urumqi runs every day except Saturday. The fare is also about 9,000 tenge.
Back from China you can get to Almaty, Semipalatinsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk, as well as to Zyryanovsk, Ridder, Taldykurgan, Chundzhi and even Karaganda! But for the last cities the information is not accurate, we just saw the prices at the bus station in Urumqi.
4. Combined way to get from Kazakhstan to China
From Almaty you can take a bus to the border town of Zharkent, not far from the Khorgos border crossing, and then cross the border on a special bus. Then you need to get to any smaller city, for example to Yining, and from there to Urumqi. This is the hard way to get to China.
But the cost will be inexpensive: the Almaty-Zharkent bus is about 1000 tenge, from the border to Yining about 50 yuan, and then by train Ying-Urumqi (about 100 yuan).

By bus, train or low-cost airline
I travel to Europe often, and international flights are expensive every time. Therefore, I get to the border, and then buy tickets for local low-cost airlines that are not in Russia.
Anna Efremova
often travels to Europe
I’ll tell you the best way to get to the Russian border and cross it on a budget. All these tips are relevant if you have one and you don’t have to spend extra money on it.
The general scheme is this: we get to the border with the European Union, transfer to transport to the nearest airport, board a local low-cost airline there and fly to the desired country. The part with the low-cost airline is clear: I bought a ticket, sorted out my luggage, sat down and flew. But getting to the departure point is a quest.

By bus to the Baltics
The easiest option is to fly from the Baltics. For example, from Tallinn a ticket on the low-cost airline "Rinair" to Milan can be bought for 19.6 € (1438 RUR), and to Oslo - for 18.53 € (1359 RUR).
For comparison: a direct regular flight Moscow - Milan on Es−7 costs from 1,403 € (102,926 RUR), a baggage-free direct flight on Pobeda - from 70 € (5,135 RUR), a baggage-free flight via Athens - from 40 € (2,934 RUR ).
Here are reliable bus carriers that travel to the Baltics from Russia.
"Lux Express"
The Estonian company transports from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Tallinn, Vilnius, Riga and Warsaw. In the cabin there is Wi-Fi, a vending machine with hot drinks, a toilet, sockets, soft comfortable chairs, and between them there is a lot of space and a footrest.
From Moscow the bus departs at 22:00 from the Tushinsky bus station and arrives in Riga at 12:00 the next day. A ticket costs about 3000 RUR.
Lux Express has a representative office in St. Petersburg, so from there you can go to Vilnius for 1388 RUR. The bus passes through Tallinn, a ticket to which will generally cost 690 RUR.
Lux Express participates in the PINS loyalty program; the card is issued upon the first purchase directly on the carrier’s website. The price of the purchased ticket is immediately reduced by 15%. For example, the standard price for a bus route Moscow - Riga is 3575 RUR, with a PINS card it will drop to 3039 RUR:
"Ecolines"
Another large bus operator of international routes. Carries to Riga, Helsinki, Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, Strasbourg and 115 other European cities. The buses are equipped with sockets, Wi-Fi, toilets and air conditioning. They promise to get to Riga in 13.5 hours.
A ticket Moscow - Riga costs 3300 RUR. If you have an ISIK student card or a pension certificate, there will be a discount and the ticket will cost 2970 RUR. You can get to Vilnius for 3520 RUR (3190 RUR with a discount). The most expensive Ecolines ticket from Moscow costs 7840 RUR - this is a ticket to Paris via Brussels and Antwerp. The drive is 48 and a half hours.
St. Petersburg is closer to the border, and leaving from there is faster and cheaper. A ticket to Helsinki costs 730 RUR without social discounts, to Tallinn - 1100 RUR.
Ecolines also travels to Minsk for 1,500 RUR, but, in my experience, it is more convenient to get there by Busfor buses.
A ticket from St. Petersburg to Helsinki costs 730 RUR
"Basfor"
The Basfor company has tickets to Minsk starting from 1200 RUR. Buses run from the Tushinskaya, Shchelkovskaya, VDNH, and Teply Stan metro stations.
It’s worth going to Minsk because there are many cheap routes from it around Eastern Europe. For example, by transferring to the same Ecolines buses at the Minsk Central Bus Station, you can get to the airport of the Lithuanian city of Kaunas, from where the low-cost airline Rainair flies, for 17 € (1247 RUR) and 5.5 hours. From here you can fly to Eilat for 36 € (2641 RUR), and for 42 € (3081 RUR) to Dublin.
Basfor delivers not only to Minsk, but also to Kyiv. Ticket prices start from 1000 RUR, on promotion days you can buy another 20% cheaper
"Intercars"
Another budget bus route is to Brest from the Dynamo metro station on the Intercars bus. This carrier has two routes across the border with Belarus: Moscow - Berlin and Moscow - Naples. 17 hours on the road, 2086 R - and you are in Brest, on the border with Poland.
If you wish, you can get to Berlin for 5,300 R (journey 1 day and 10 hours) or to Naples for 17,500 R (travel 2 days 14 hours).
From Brest to, for example, Warsaw you can travel by Eurobus-Sinbad carrier. In March 2018, a bus ticket from Brest to Warsaw costs 683 RUR. After 3.5 hours you will get off at the Warsaw Western bus station. Result: route Moscow - Warsaw costing 2769 RUR.
Basfor buses come there 4-5 times a day. A Brest-Warsaw ticket can be found for 616 RUR, but more often it costs from 780 RUR.
Buses - for the unpretentious
Buses are cheap and inconvenient.
It’s difficult to sleep in them; your body becomes numb. A fellow passenger in the next seat may be snoring, smelling unpleasant, or eating short bread. You won't be able to get enough sleep on night flights.
At the border you will have to get off the bus and go through customs in person at a separate terminal. It can also be cold there in winter. At this time, border guards will inspect the interior of the bus. The examination may last several hours.
