Holidays on the Black Sea. Where you can relax abroad in peace Affordable holidays abroad in
Summer has arrived, and with it the long-awaited vacation. And I want to use it to the maximum so that I can relax, really relax! Realizing the desire to see the world and show themselves, our fellow citizens go to distant lands - to warm seas, sands and palm trees. Why did the tourism business in some countries deflate like a balloon a week after the holiday with the onset of the financial crisis and the imposition of sanctions against our country? Because all their tourism flourished on us, since Russians were the main consumers of this service sector. But not everyone can afford to go abroad in search of new experiences now, and have you really explored the vastness of your country so well that you are not interested within its borders? And in Russia There are quite a few places that you definitely need to see.
Krasnodar region
– a luxurious holiday within your own country. The Krasnodar region attracts not only the quality of an interesting holiday, but also its well-developed service.
Legendary is hospitable and great for tourists with children, since the Black Sea beaches with shallow water off the coast are quite safe. As a place of residence, you can choose one of the many hotels, a sanatorium, or rent a room (house) from private owners - according to your taste and pocket. The range of services in the financial sense is wide, so it is suitable for both state employees and those who are used to relaxing on a grand scale. In addition to a beach holiday, Anapa offers guests visits to museum reserves, a dolphinarium, and springs with healing mud.
Holidays in Gelendzhik Young people will definitely like it. This resort is known not only for its rare beauty of beaches, but also for its variety of active entertainment, which includes a large safari park, water parks and cable cars. It’s not boring at night in Gelendzhik either - many nightclubs and restaurants professionally entertain and deliciously feed numerous visitors. Just like in Anapa, the service is designed for any income level of guests.
It does not need any special introduction, since for decades it has confidently maintained its reputation as one of the most popular Russian resort cities. Soft sun, gentle sea, impressive history and rich culture, a large selection of excursion routes and entertainment, modern health resorts and spa centers - what else is needed for an interesting and useful holiday? Sochi is an excellent choice for a holiday in Russia.
The picturesque natural setting of the city, many attractions, good beaches - all this allows Novorossiysk to be one of the best cities on the Russian Black Sea coast. Connoisseurs of winemaking will be interested in visiting resort villages Abrau-Durso And Myskhako.
Comfortable holiday in Tuapse available at any time of the year. But the fabulously beautiful velvet season in the first months of autumn is rightfully considered the best. Numerous Bronze Age monuments, magnificent river canyons, mountain peaks and waterfalls will set you up for a romantic wave, and the rich underwater world will delight beginners and experienced divers. And for those who come to improve their health or undergo preventive procedures, modern sanatoriums specializing in the treatment of endocrine, vascular and respiratory pathologies are available.
– our old (new) favorite Black Sea corner, which invariably attracts many tourists. Crimea is an ideal place for an affordable, classic holiday, interesting for all categories of holidaymakers.
For those who want to have an expensive and luxurious holiday, the best hotels are in the south of the peninsula - in Forose, Yalta or Alupka. Against the backdrop of high-quality hotel service and picturesque surroundings, a small drawback is the sea, which is not warm enough even in the heat, and is deep, which is not conducive to holidays with small children.
If you dream of comfortable swimming, a beautiful tan and dry air, then you should move to the west, where budget hotels and boarding houses in Evpatoria, Nikolaevka and other paradises are already waiting for you. The sea in these places is gentle and shallow, and there are convenient slopes to well-groomed beaches. Extreme lovers and those who are bored sitting still will enjoy a holiday on the cape Tarkhankut, V Gurzuf, Koktebele or New World, attracting many “wild” camping tourists and divers.
The most pleasant weather in Crimea is the month starting from mid-June. At this time, it pleases with the cleanliness of the sea and comfortable temperature. For example, in Yalta in mid-summer the climate resembles a steam room - high humidity and heat; V Feodosia or Evpatoria hot dry winds blow from the steppe zone; In the western part of Crimea, beach holidays are complicated by jellyfish.
Golden ring
Includes visit Rostov, Sergiev Posad, Yaroslavl, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Kostroma, Suzdal, Vladimir and other small but very beautiful cities. Traveling through them is a fascinating and educational vacation, during which you will get acquainted with the work of ancient Russian architects and the exhibitions of historical museums. In addition, you will take a break from the rhythm of big cities and be able to purchase souvenirs from folk craftsmen. A trip along the Golden Ring route is possible on a sightseeing bus, accompanied by a guide (using a pre-purchased ticket), or in your own car.
The Golden Ring of Russia is famous for its many historical and cultural monuments, found in all cities and towns without exception. The nature of the area is magnificent at any time of the year, each of them has its own zest. Along the route, you will come across many ancient buildings that create an atmosphere of fairy tales; this mainly concerns churches and monasteries, which amaze not only foreigners, but also Russians with their grandeur and beauty.
is a system of lakes that arose as a result of the melting of glaciers in two regions of Russia - Tver and Novgorod. The clearest water of Seliger, with visibility up to five meters deep, not only impresses numerous tourists, but also serves as a haven for three dozen species of fish. Holidays on Seliger can be quite civilized (hotel) and “wild” - with accommodation in a tent in the lap of nature.
As for organized recreation, renting a house or hotel room is not a problem. A large number of recreation centers will allow you to choose an option to suit your taste. Some hotel complexes organize excursions for their clients, for example, to Nilova Pustyn or to the Holy Okovetsky Spring.
“Wild” vacationers enjoy unity with nature, having agreed in advance about a place in a tent camp. Don't forget to take with you a set of fishing tackle, necessary things for camping life and repellents to save you from blood-sucking insects. By the way, if you plan to go fishing, purchasing a special permit is mandatory. It is issued by fisheries inspectors right on the shore; the cost of the permit depends on the place where you plan to fish.
Everyone knows about the main natural attraction of this amazing place - these are about three hundred volcanoes, which are reflected on the flag and coat of arms of the region, the capital of which is city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Of these, about thirty are active. Each of them is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The seventh part of the Kamchatka Territory is occupied by protected areas. And the unique Valley of Geysers is one of the recognized wonders of Russia. Watching a volcanic eruption, swimming in thermal springs, getting to know the culture and customs of the indigenous peoples of the North will give you a lot of unforgettable impressions and colorful photographs. Pristine beauty is a gift for true connoisseurs of wild nature!
This picturesque region is represented by a diverse landscape: endless steppes and cliffs, covered with oak groves and coniferous forests; waterfalls and valleys full of blooming herbs. And this natural beauty will not leave anyone indifferent, therefore it annually attracts many tourists from all over Russia and from abroad. And the local national flavor is the “cherry on the cake” that creates an unforgettable experience. Just at the beginning of summer, after the completion of spring field work, Sabantuy is celebrated in Bashkiria. These fun folk festivals include horse racing, comic competitions with prizes, and a mountain feast in nature.
Active lovers holidays in Bashkortostan You will definitely enjoy visiting a national park of all-Russian significance (a tour of it requires a ticket), as well as renting mountain bikes, exploring natural caves, hiking at various levels of difficulty, kayaking, horseback riding and many other adventures.
Among the numerous natural attractions and monuments in Bashkiria is the reserve " Shulgan-Tash» with wild bees collecting unique airborne honey; the Shihany mountains, formed by the remains of ancient reefs, when visiting which you may be lucky enough to see stones with imprints of extinct plants or animals; “Kapova Cave” with preserved ancient rock paintings. If you prefer a calm, relaxing holiday, then at your service there is fishing, swimming, wellness treatments with healing mud and mineral springs, picking berries and mushrooms.
Without a doubt, it is one of the most interesting and beautiful Russian cities. Picturesque area; rich history embodied in many attractions and museums; a culture close to European - all this annually attracts thousands of tourists, who never get bored in Kaliningrad.
Just a few days of your stay in Kaliningrad will be remembered for a long time by visiting theatres, shopping centers, restaurants and night clubs, of which there are plenty in the city. Walking around the city will also leave a pleasant impression: the Cathedral and the newly built Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the Church of the Holy Family with stunningly beautiful and majestic-sounding organ music, the Amber Museum - these are just a small part of the places most popular among tourists. If you are traveling with children, they will be delighted to visit the World Ocean Museum and Zoo. In the museum you can not only admire the marine fauna and flora, but also see a real nuclear submarine.
This lake, included in the UNESCO list, was considered a sea in ancient times. Despite its considerable age - about thirty million years, it is fresh and beautiful. Scientists believe that it appeared as a result of tectonic processes that continue to this day. A fifth of the world's supply of fresh drinking water belongs to Baikal, which is the deepest lake on our planet - more than one and a half thousand meters! And all this greatness must be seen with your own eyes!
But these regions are notable not only for the lake: considered a center of shamanism with good hotels; the Sagan-Zaba rock, famous for the presence of ancient paintings; Ogoy Island with a Buddhist stupa and many other exotic things - all this is simply breathtaking! So forget about the sea for once - go to Baikal, and you won’t regret it at all!
Traveling through the Altai Mountains will give you a varied holiday and a lot of impressions. Horseback riding, walking excursion tours, car excursions, rafting on mountain rivers of any complexity, mountaineering are just a small part of the options for active pastime in this unique taiga-mountain region.
Unique and contrasting: mountains and steppes, alpine meadows and impenetrable taiga; rivers, lakes and waterfalls, caves, ancient monuments, national flavor - with the opportunity to participate in rituals and taste national cuisine and much more. Every year Altai is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists from Russia and other countries. And everyone finds something of their own, which is later associated specifically with the Altai Mountains.
In addition to the enchanting pine aroma that permeated the purest mountain air, vacationers will long remember the legendary Teletskoye Lake, the Valley of the Seven Lakes, the Blue Lakes, the sacred two-headed Mount Belukha, the Iconostasis rock with a bas-relief of Lenin carved on it, the Altai Stonehenge and many other natural and man-made attractions that stand see at least once in your life.
Usually this name is applied to the Arkhangelsk and Vologda regions, where national architectural and creative traditions are best preserved. Ancient religious buildings - monasteries and temples, ancient buildings; rituals that came from antiquity - all this makes our northern territories a kind of cultural reserve. Tourists visit the region with pleasure because of its natural splendor and many historical monuments, some of which are included in the list of UNESCO sites.
Eco-tourism is gaining momentum in the region, where guests are given the opportunity to live in simple wooden houses - near the water, far from civilization; wander through the forest, picking berries and mushrooms, catching fish or going hunting. And extreme sports enthusiasts are invited to rafting on the northern rivers, designed for any level of training.
Inquisitive vacationers who strive to expand their horizons with new knowledge on every trip will be interested in a tour of the most popular places in this northern region:
Veliky Ustyug, the birthplace of Father Frost and his permanent place of residence is in a fairy-tale residence.
Arkhangelsk is a city with a quarter of old wooden houses and wooden sidewalks.
“Malye Korely” is an open-air museum of unique wooden architecture.
Cross Monastery on Kiy Island.
Ferapontovsky Monastery, famous for its frescoes from the early 16th century.
And many other, no less interesting, cultural and historical objects.
Russia is great, and we are all proud of its vast expanses, which many of us are only familiar with in absentia. Therefore, it’s worth canceling your trip to Turkey or Egypt at least once and traveling around the country to once again be convinced of its beauty and uniqueness.
In the bustle of a big city and a frantic work schedule, sooner or later a long-awaited, cherished vacation appears. Spring is ending, so the future tourist is faced with the question of how to organize his vacation in the upcoming summer of 2017 in order to get the maximum emotions and impressions.
It should be noted that there are several types of tourism - it can be:
- tourism for health purposes,
- travel to explore the sights of another city or another country (educational tourism),
- beach holidays, familiar and often most preferred for many,
- business tourism, when a trip is organized to resolve issues related to work, but since the discussion in the article is about recreation, there is no point in discussing business tourism.
The tourism sector today offers a lot of possible holiday destinations. How to choose exactly what you need?
Domestic tourism
Domestic tourism is gaining increasing popularity; Russians prefer their native places for a number of reasons, including due to the fall of the national currency. Thus, at the end of 2016, the Russian tourism industry recorded a turning point: for the first time in a long time, the number of vacationers within the country exceeded the number of tourists who chose to vacation outside the Russian Federation.
The most popular destinations for Russian tourists are resorts and. However, it is naive to believe that the trend of growth and strengthening of domestic tourism will continue. For any vacationer, an important criterion is the ratio of price and quality. Unfortunately, in this aspect, domestic tourism is inferior to external tourism. Today, resorts within the country are not always able to offer a developed tourism infrastructure at reasonable prices. Often, a trip to your “native” places is much more expensive than a holiday abroad, so it is extremely important before purchasing a tour to read reviews about the hotel or boarding house where you want to relax this summer.

We love to travel around Russia, especially by car - in a few years we have become inveterate auto travelers and have already traveled half the country: Crimea, Krasnodar and Perm Territories, the Altai Mountains and the entire North Caucasus. This is not counting our beloved St. Petersburg, Kazan, Moscow and other cities where we fly or travel by train. In this review, we will share our experience and tell you about the best places in Russia where you should go on vacation.
One of our favorite places in Crimea is Cape Vinogradny in Sevastopol.
Holidays in Russia at sea in the summer of 2019
Black Sea
We have vacationed on the Black Sea countless times. Even after the Philippines, Thailand, Spain, Italy and other countries with a high level of service and heavenly beaches, we come to relax in the South of Russia almost every summer. For what? For the sake of nature, interesting sights and exotics (Crimea and Kuban are a journey into the past, back to the USSR). And you can find good beaches here - sandy and deserted.
If you come to relax on the Black Sea at the height of the summer season, this awaits you. I took the photo on the beach in Divnomorskoye, Krasnodar Territory.
Where to go on vacation:
- The most popular resorts with developed infrastructure: Yalta, Evpatoria.
- There are many Black Sea resorts where you can go for a relaxing holiday: the quiet village of Ashe near Sochi or the cozy towns of Krinitsa, Divnomorskoye, Abrau-Durso, Khosta, Dagomys and so on. The ideal option is to relax at the seaside in a campsite. And even better - go on vacation in the summer of 2019 and completely immerse yourself in its leisurely rhythm of life. Read.
Maldives? Dominican Republic? No, this is a beach in Crimea! The village of Olenevka. Fine light sand, clear water and a rich underwater world - this can be found even on the Black Sea in Russia.
Airfare in the summer from Moscow: to Sochi - from 6800 rubles, to Anapa - from 6600 rubles, to Krasnodar - from 7100 rubles, to Crimea - from 8000 rubles.
Housing prices on the Black Sea in the summer of 2019 are as follows: in Sochi, a double room in a guest house costs from 1000 rubles per day, in a 3* hotel - from 2000 rubles per day, you can rent an apartment from 1200 rubles per day. Sochi, Yalta are expensive resorts. Sudak, Anapa, Evpatoria - inexpensive. Check out our selections of accommodation at resorts: , .
Tours to Crimea, Sochi and Anapa cost from 24,000 rubles for two people with departure from Moscow.

Advantages of holidays on the Sea of Azov:
- Fewer people than in the Black Sea resorts.
- It's cheaper here. Accommodation by the sea in the summer of 2019 costs from 800 rubles. Find accommodation →
- The Sea of Azov is more suitable for families with small children: it is shallower and warms up faster, the beaches and bottom are sandy.
But there are also disadvantages: the infrastructure is poorly developed, the water is often muddy.
Flights from Moscow to Rostov-on-Don in the summer of 2019 cost from 4,500 rubles, to Krasnodar - from 7,100 rubles. Search tickets →

Baltic Sea
You can improve your health and enjoy the charm of the Baltic resorts in Russia - in the Kaliningrad region. Just look at the Curonian Spit alone with its wild sandy beaches, dunes, dancing forest and sea!
Where to go. The resorts of the Baltic Sea are purely European - clean, well-groomed, a little toy-like and certainly with ancient architecture. The German spirit is strongly felt in Zelenogradsk - the city was once a royal resort. It is famous for its wide sandy beach, but the beach of Svetlogorsk is not so good, moreover, it is washed away by water. But the city has a hilly terrain and is surrounded by tall pine trees. You can also relax in Yantarny, Otradny and Pionersky.
Flights to Kaliningrad with departure from Moscow cost from 4,600 rubles. Search tickets →

Active recreation in Russia in the summer of 2019
South Russia and the Caucasus
Where to go for active recreation in the summer of 2019? Definitely to the south of Russia - this is where there is freedom for those who like to have a good workout on vacation!
Holidays in the Sochi area. Go to the Khmelevskie Lakes, which are located at an altitude of 1800 meters, and admire the gorgeous views. Visit the Plesetskaya gap and take a trekking walk through the yew-boxwood grove in the village of Khosta. Take a trip to breathe the mountain air and enjoy the beautiful views.
Caucasus. A great way to test your endurance and at the same time enjoy the beauty of the Caucasus is to go trekking on the Lago-Naki plateau or climb Elbrus. For those who want to see the Caucasus Mountains in all their glory, we recommend going to Arkhyz - these are our favorite places! There are stunning landscapes and many interesting routes for one day hikes - everyone can do it.
Sport. For those who are interested in water sports, we recommend going to Anapa (Blagoveshchenskaya village) - there are ideal conditions for kitesurfing. In the village of Golubitskaya on the Sea of Azov you can go paragliding and windsurfing.
One of my favorite places in the Caucasus is Sofia Sedlo, Arkhyz, Karachay-Cherkess Republic.
Our walk on the slopes of Elbrus at an altitude of 3700-4100 meters above sea level, KBR. Even in summer there is snow at these heights.
Crimea
In Crimea there are more than enough opportunities for active recreation in the summer!
For diving come to the village of Olenevka - the clearest water and beautiful coral reefs are guaranteed to you. We highly recommend taking a boat trip in Olenevka! We got a lot of impressions: we had a windy ride, saw the grottoes and rocks of Tarkhankut, and met dolphins.
Get busy paragliding And hang gliding you can in Koktebel - it was there, on Mount Klementyev, that Soviet hang gliding was born in the 30s. From the top there are stunning views of the Kara-Dag volcanic massif and the Uzun-Syrt ridge, and in bad weather you can always take a sea excursion, visit a nature reserve, go to neighboring towns or just sunbathe on the beach.
Hiking. Well, what about Crimea without mountains? Choose any one and start climbing! We went hiking to the Valley of Ghosts, to Cape Meganom, Mount Ai-Georgiy, along the Golitsyn Trail in the New World. You can also climb the famous Ai-Petri on foot along the Taraktash trail. There are many picturesque hiking routes in Crimea to suit every taste.
Tickets to Crimea from Moscow for the summer of 2019 cost from 8,000 rubles. Find tickets →
Our hike to the Demerdzhi massif and the Valley of Ghosts.
Altai
Altai is a combination of romance, spartan conditions and unparalleled landscapes. You can visit Altai on your own: then it is best to have a tent, sleeping bags and an SUV in order to easily get to the hard-to-reach and secluded places of the Altai Mountains. Don't have your own car? No problem - seek help from travel companies that offer a wide variety of outdoor activities: rafting, horseback riding, cycling, auto and walking tours. Read more about.
Let's walk on Mars! These unearthly landscapes can be found in the Altai Mountains.

Karelia
Tours. Look for inexpensive and well-planned summer tours to Karelia on alem-tour.ru. This is a local tour operator company that knows Karelia like the back of its hand, so there is no need to overpay intermediaries. On the website you can also create a tour yourself: choose excursions, entertainment and number of days.

Kamchatka
Why not go on an active holiday in the summer of 2019 to Kamchatka? Distant, inaccessible, but so beautiful, Kamchatka attracts primarily with its Valley of Geysers - this is one of the seven wonders of Russia and the only geyser field in Eurasia. You can only get to this stunning place by booking an excursion tour by helicopter - the ecosystem of the valley is carefully protected. In addition, in Kamchatka you can raft rivers, climb active and extinct volcanoes and swim in hot thermal springs.
Flights for June - August 2019 to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky from Moscow cost from 22,000 rubles. Yes, a holiday in Kamchatka is not a cheap pleasure, but it is a real adventure!

Excursion holidays in summer 2019
Saint Petersburg
St. Petersburg is the best place in Russia where you can go for a cultural holiday! Come in summer or spring, otherwise you will go crazy from the rains and winds. I love this city so much that one day I just moved here for a couple of years.
What to see. Classics: St. Isaac's Cathedral, Bronze Horseman, Winter Palace and the Savior on Spilled Blood, Kazan Cathedral and Peter and Paul Fortress and much, much more. And just walking around the historical districts of the Northern capital, looking into courtyards, wells and narrow alleys, is a pleasure. The surrounding areas of St. Petersburg are also interesting: Peterhof, Pushkin, Vyborg, Ekateringof, Pavlovsk, Kronstadt.
Flights to St. Petersburg they cost from 4,000 rubles.

Wellness holiday
Going to the Caucasian mineral waters and joining the “water society” is a great idea for a vacation in Russia in the summer of 2019. To choose from: Kislovodsk with its beautiful Resort Park and Narzan waters, the famous Essentuki springs, Lermontov’s Pyatigorsk with an abundance of health resorts and attractions, the balneological resort of Goryachy Klyuch and others. Baltic Sea resorts - Zelenogradsk, Svetlogorsk, Yantarnoye - are also suitable for health purposes.
In the south of Russia there is another way to relax and improve your health - thermal springs, and.

Where to go on vacation with a child in Russia in the summer?
When choosing where to go on holiday with your child in Russia in the summer, take into account the interests and age of the child. Kids are mainly only interested in beaches, water parks, attractions, and zoos. Older children can be offered a more active program: hiking or new sports.
Holidays with children by the sea. Children will be comfortable both on the Azov Sea and on the Black and Baltic Seas - so only you can choose where to go on vacation this summer.
For a quiet and relaxing beach holiday, we recommend going to the family resorts of the Azov Sea. Kuchugury and the village of Golubitskaya are suitable - the sea there is shallow and warms up already in May, the waves are small, the bottom is flat and sandy. Plus beaches with beautiful golden sand and an abundance of beautiful shells that children love to collect. Not far from the villages there is a mineral lake and healing mud lakes, you can go to Taman and Veselovka, and Crimea is nearby.
If you want to relax with your child on the Black Sea, then it is better to go to the resorts of the Southern Coast of Crimea or to Sudak. It’s also a good idea to relax in the small villages of the Krasnodar Territory. Last summer we took our nephews to relax by the sea in Crimea, to Sudak - the children were happy.
As for the Baltic Sea, there is an excellent beach in Zelenogradsk - it is also easy to get to the protected Curonian Spit from there.
My nephews take pictures with knights in Sudak, Crimea.
Active holidays with children. If your child is already old enough, you can go hiking with him in the Caucasus or Crimean mountains. My 12-year-old niece enjoyed going with us on short hikes around Sudak. Teenagers will be interested in trying a new sport - for example, wind or kitesurfing in or in the village of Golubitskaya. At the Black Sea resorts, horseback riding and a variety of water activities are popular - catamaran rides and bungee jumping. Any child will also be interested in visiting water parks, of which there are a great many in the south.
We are standing with our niece on Cape Meganom in Crimea and admiring the sea.

Where to go on vacation abroad in the summer at sea
The most popular destinations to go to the sea in the summer do not change from year to year. The top 10 destinations include Türkiye, Cyprus, Tunisia, Greece, Spain, Montenegro, Italy, Bulgaria, Thailand, Abkhazia. And this is not surprising. Firstly, in all these countries swimming season lasts in summer. Secondly, in Turkey, Tunisia and Bulgaria, most hotels operate all inclusive. Thirdly, Türkiye, Cyprus, Greece, Spain and Bulgaria suitable for families with children. Fourthly, to these countries sell package tours(can be found, sometimes for the price of an air ticket).
Türkiye
Türkiye- the main destination where you can go to the sea in the summer. Almost 5 million of our tourists chose this country last year.
Why is Türkiye so popular in summer and all year round? The “all inclusive” country offers competitive prices for tours, good price-quality ratio, and entertainment for children and youth. Decent prices for tours (reason - 4 Turkish tour operators in our market - Tez Tour, Anex Tour, Coral (with Sunmar), Pegas). The “Magnificent Four” fit perfectly into the Russian tourism market, competing with each other. As a result, tourists receive high-quality products in the form of cheap and varied tours.
In summer, the high season lasts in Turkey, the water warms up to +25°C. But in early June the sea is still cool, but prices for tours are lower. Most often, trips to Turkey are chosen for two adults, or “two adults + a child” with all-inclusive meals. The average cost of such a tour is 65,000 rubles. for a week with departure from Moscow. For this money you will receive flights, transfers, insurance and accommodation in a 4-5* hotel at resorts Alanya, Side, Kemer, Antalya, Belek. For that kind of money, it is unlikely that you will be able to get the same level of service and all-inclusive meals in other countries. The authors of our website in Turkey “ate the dog”, if you are interested, take a look at the section.
Pros of Turkey in summer:
- Warm sea, swimming season (it is better to go from the end of June)
- Good service
- All inclusive
- Large selection of resorts
- Animation, entertainment
- Low prices (the exchange rate of the lira has collapsed, making holidays even more profitable)
- No visa required
Cons of Turkey in summer:
- A lot of tourists, crowded hotels and beaches
Olympos Beach - a piece of Thailand in Turkey
Cyprus
Cyprus- another top destination where to go on vacation at sea in the summer. It’s no worse here than in Turkey, and maybe even better, with a touch of Greece and without a visa. Cyprus is a more European and free resort compared to Muslim Turkey. There are also all-inclusive hotels, sandy and pebble beaches, and the swimming season begins earlier. But there is one “but” - a holiday in Cyprus in the summer will cost 2 times more than in Turkey. Therefore, fewer of our tourists come here (about 800 thousand per year).
Cyprus offers almost year-round seaside holidays in the birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite. There are two airports on the tourist side of Cyprus - Larnaca and Paphos. It takes no more than 2 hours to drive to any resort. The beaches are different everywhere, but the best are in Ayia Napa and Protaras (one of the best in the entire Mediterranean). Add to this delicious cuisine and ancient sights.
For young people, Cyprus warmly opens its arms and invites you to visit famous Limassol And Ayia Napa, and for connoisseurs of peaceful relaxation - Pathos And Larnaca. The weather in Cyprus is always clear; in summer the air warms up to +30+35°C. We traveled all over Cyprus (except for Northern Cyprus), details in the section.
Pros of Cyprus in summer:
- Longest swimming season
- Delicious cuisine
- Many of our compatriots
- Free pro-visa (issued online in 1 day)
- All-inclusive hotels available
- A lot of attractions
Disadvantages of Cyprus in summer:
- High price level (due to the influence of Great Britain)
Tunisia
Tunisia- another country where you can go on vacation in the summer of 2019. Tunisia is trying to win the trust of tourists and offers an all-inclusive system at reasonable prices. But, in our opinion, it does not reach the level of Turkey and especially Cyprus. The service is often poor, the quality of food is questionable. But tourists rested, are resting and will rest. Over the past year, 600 thousand of our compatriots visited Tunisia. But we still recommend taking only 5* hotels and not saving, so as not to be disappointed. In mid-summer the temperature in Tunisia reaches +35°C. Popular resorts include: Sousse, Djerba, Hammamet.
Pros of Tunisia in summer:
- Sandy beaches
- No visa required
- Historical landmarks
- "All inclusive"
Cons of Tunisia in summer:
- Tunisia suffers from influx of jellyfish in August
- There are problems with algae in the sea
Greece
Greece- a country where there is everything. And there are our tourists in Greece too, and not a lot, not a little; 750 thousand people from Russia come here every year. Everything is wonderful in this country - hospitable Greeks, delicious healthy food, picturesque beaches, the mainland and islands (as many as 1,400 of them!). But there is a small fly in the ointment, not significant at all, but it reduces the ardor of tourists - it is needed Schengen visa.
It is not difficult to obtain a visa, but this word often scares tourists. And at the thought that you need to take a certificate from work, an account statement, fill out an application and go to the visa center, some especially impressionable people begin to look towards Turkey, or, in the end, Cyprus (it’s also Greek).
The swimming season begins early on the island Crete, then gets to , Spit and other islands, and then the mainland. For lovers of archaeological sites, we recommend going to Athens. The average cost of the tour is 55,000 rubles. for two without meals, or with breakfast. There are often last-minute tours, this is a good option for where to go on vacation in the summer of 2019. But only for those with a visa.
Pros of Greece in summer:
- Many resorts (1400 islands and mainland)
- Hospitable country
Cons of Greece in summer:
- Need a Schengen visa

Already in early June, the air temperature in Abkhazia reaches +23+25°С, the Black Sea warms up to +22°С. It is warmer here than in Sochi, and prices are lower. What is the beauty of Bulgaria? These are mountain ranges, winding rivers, valleys and plains strewn with fragrant roses and wildflowers. As for the beaches of Bulgaria, they are the best on the entire Black Sea coast.
Bulgaria is actively developing the all-inclusive system, offering family hotels and competitive prices. There were also some “buts” - most of the hotels were built during the Soviet years and have remained so since then. New hotels are being built, but the prices are much higher. You also need a visa to travel to Bulgaria - either a local Bulgarian one or a Schengen one. The Bulgarian one is easier and cheaper to apply for, but you can’t travel with it under Schengen (except for Cyprus, Romania and Croatia). The best resort - Sunny Beach, In second place .

Montenegro is distinguished by its greenish-blue waters of the Adriatic Sea, Mediterranean climate, medieval towns and natural beauty - white pebble beaches, national parks and mountains. A big marketing push - the release of the film "James Bond 007: Casino Royale" - led to the opening of a casino of the same name in the resort town of Petrovac.
Main tourist city Budva- a beautiful medieval labyrinth of narrow streets with restaurants and shops, which is frozen in the atmosphere of the old city. During the high season, Montenegro is dotted with numerous bars that are open until the morning, and during the day its beaches become noisy and crowded. Holidays abroad have always been considered the most expensive pleasure. But recently, tourists can go on vacation abroad freely and the cost of such a vacation will be quite acceptable. Let's look at the cheapest holidays abroad in 2018.
In this article we will try to provide you with a description of the most popular destinations among Russian tourists. Also, many may be interested in reading the information from the article: where to holiday abroad without a visa in 2018.
Most Popular Countries
In Turkey any Russian feels at home and therefore many residents of our country prefer to holiday in this country. Türkiye is mainly a beach holiday with children on the Black Sea or the Mediterranean. You can also do inexpensive shopping here and naturally visit various attractions. Also, we must not forget about entertainment, of which there is simply a huge amount in Turkey, and therefore every day tourists will find a lot of nightclubs, discos, restaurants and bars.
Prices for holidays here vary depending on the time of year, season and part of the country. So, for example, a tour to Antalya will cost about 200 dollars, to Istanbul - about 350 dollars, and to Kemer - 250 dollars. On average, a two-week tour for two can be purchased for $1000–1500, and if you are lucky enough to buy a last-minute tour or go to Turkey in the fall, you can save up to 50% of their cost. Russian tourists prefer Turkey for a complete holiday with an all-inclusive system, excellent climate, clean sea and numerous excursions.
Unfortunately today, Türkiye is closed to travel companies and many are tormented by the question of when Turkey will open. But you can go on vacation on your own.
Holidays in Egypt at sea is the most traditional among Russian residents, since this destination has long been “travelled” by Russian tourists. Here you can enjoy excellent hotel service, a warm climate, and a huge amount of entertainment for only $250 for 7-8 days of a great vacation.
Warm Red Sea, gentle sun, All inclusive and, of course, ancient pyramids- this is what numerous tourists come to this beautiful country every year for with its ancient history and unique cultural and architectural monuments: the Pyramids, the eternal Sphinx and Luxor, which tourists visit, all this is worth going to this country on vacation. But this direction is closed, although there is information that flights will soon resume.
And, of course, the logical question will be: what is better, Turkey or Egypt in terms of service, comfort, food?
Thailand no less popular than Turkey or Egypt, but in this country the high season begins in mid-autumn and ends at the beginning of winter. Therefore, if you want to purchase the cheapest tour, it is best to count on the month of April or May.
A package for a ten-day vacation will cost about $700–800. The cheapest seaside holiday in 2018 will indeed be in Thailand, since in almost any region of the country you can have a great holiday for $15–25 per day. If you decide to go on your own, then on average you will need about $400 per month for accommodation, subject to staying at a hotel in the center of Pattaya. But you can find a vacation cheaper. On the island of Phuket, Chang, Samui, Phi Phi you can find a hotel room for $150–200 per month. And if one room is enough for you, then you can rent it for 80–90 dollars.
Thailand has very cheap products, so you only need $100 a month for food. For 2 dollars you can have a great lunch in any cafe, and 6 dollars is enough for dinner in a good restaurant. And if you want to fill your suitcase with inexpensive things, then 100 dollars will be enough for you, without even haggling.
The cheapest holiday at sea
Vietnam– this is an incredibly beautiful place where you can find many corners of nature untouched by man. And even despite the growing popularity of this country, holidays in it remain still quite acceptable. So, for example, 10 dollars a day is enough for one person to stay in a hotel, meals, excursion programs and massage. And if you are willing to spend $20 a day, you won’t be able to deny yourself anything. Therefore, 400–500 dollars for an excellent 30-day vacation will be quite enough. But this does not include the flight, since plane tickets are not included in this price (a direct flight will cost a little more than with transfers).
Read a useful informative article about comparing countries: What to choose - Thailand or Vietnam, Sri Lanka for quality inexpensive holidays, excursions and entertainment?
Goa (India) is another popular tourist destination, because with 100 dollars in your pocket (6000 rupees) you can have a great holiday and not deny yourself anything, especially when it comes to North Goa.
The cost of a holiday in Goa for a European person is quite low, especially far from big cities and metropolises. The most expensive holiday in Goa is in winter, since the high season begins at this time, but if you buy a ticket in the off-season, then a tour with air travel when prices drop starts from $400. But if you decide to go on your own and stay in an inexpensive guesthouse, as many young people do, you can save about 20-30% of your money. Goa is very popular among Russians due to its favorable tropical climate and recreation at almost any time of the year.
Abkhazia is located next to Russia and therefore many prefer to go to this country on vacation, since for many it will be the most budget option to have a great time on the Black Sea. I would also like to note that Russians do not need visas or foreign passports to go on vacation to Abkhazia and the journey will take a little time.
If you do not have a large amount of money, then you can choose a vacation in the private sector, where prices for budget housing do not exceed 300–350 rubles per day per person. If you want more comfortable apartments in the private sector, you will have to shell out a larger amount - about 500 rubles. Meals per day in Abkhazia will also cost you from 500 rubles per day. Thus, it can be calculated that a seven-day holiday in this country without travel will cost about 5,600 to 10,000 rubles per person.
Holidays in boarding houses and hotels in 2018 will cost much more. So, for example, a double room in a boarding house or sanatorium will cost from 1,600 to 8,000 rubles per day. Thus, if you are counting on an inexpensive holiday in Abkhazia, then you will need an amount of 22,000 rubles for two. For 30,000 rubles for two you can also see all the sights of this beautiful country.
Many Russians, we are sure, will be curious about the answer to the following question: Where is it better to relax - in Sochi, Crimea or Abkhazia?
But the cheapest holiday abroad at sea awaits you in Bali and Cambodia. These countries offer the cheapest accommodation and food for tourists. In Bali you can find excellent accommodation for $100 a month and the same amount will cover food for 30 days. The only downside is that the flight is very expensive - about $1000!
Cambodia and Bali are not very well-known countries for tourist holidays, and therefore the logical question would be: Where are Bali and Cambodia?
And in Cambodia you can find a room for $1.50 a night, and when you buy delicious and cheap food, you will feel guilty for paying people so little. A visit to one of the world's most famous monuments of the kingdom of Cambodia - Angkor Wat will cost you only 5 dollars.
Exquisite holiday
Sri Lanka or Ceylon island Recently it has become very popular among Russian tourists, as many want to relax in exotic places where beautiful nature reigns and there are many secluded beautiful places and unique cultural and historical attractions.
And it is in Sri Lanka that you can have a great rest in an inexpensive beach hotel for 10-15 dollars a day. And here you can engage in a wide variety of sports: diving, surfing, fishing, kiting, rafting, etc. But plane tickets here are not cheap, so it is best to purchase tickets for charter flights or flights with transfers. Thus, for a month's vacation you will need about 400–500 dollars.
Greece is a country of ancient gods, the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas, as well as beautiful picturesque places where you can relax with children at the most reasonable prices. Halkidiki is the pearl of the Aegean Sea, Crete is the island of the legendary Minotaur, Athens is the capital of the country, Rhodes, Peloponnese, Attica, Paros, Corfu and many other islands and resorts of Greece attract many tourists from Russia. And all of them are perfect for a family holiday. On average, a holiday in Greece will cost you $250–350 for 7 days. Currently, this country is one of the most inexpensive countries where a Schengen visa is required for those who want to fully enjoy a beach and seaside excursion holiday.
Cyprus It cannot be called very cheap for a holiday, but it is very popular among Russians. A ticket to Cyprus from Moscow will cost about $200 per person, but if you catch an airline promotion, you can save from 30 to 50%. But living on the island is quite expensive. The cheapest room in Paphos will cost $30–35, but you can rent a room for $25–28 per night. Food in cafes and restaurants is also not cheap, so it is best to buy food in supermarkets, where various promotions and discounts are available.
If you are choosing where to vacation, between the last two countries, we recommend reading the differences between them: What is better to choose - Greece or Cyprus, for example, for a beach holiday?
Europe is a holiday destination
Portugal is a member of the Eurozone and therefore cannot boast of the same low prices as Asian countries. But the holiday here is completely different. You need to go to this beautiful country, which is located in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, just to enjoy the taste of excellent seafood, Portuguese cherry liqueur - ginjinha, port wine, and also to visit all the architectural monuments of the Iberian culture of the country, one of which is the famous Belem Tower - fort on the Tijou River in the region of the same name in Lisbon.
Accommodation in Portugal in an inexpensive hostel in the province will cost from 18 to 33 dollars per day. A room in a three-star hotel will cost from 30 to 80 dollars per day. And accommodation in a boarding house in Lisbon ranges from 13 to 28 dollars. Lunch in an inexpensive cafe will cost from 6.5 to 13.5 dollars, and one dish in an expensive restaurant will cost from 6 to 24 dollars. You'll need about $50 per person per day, so the total cost of the trip will range from $600 to $1,000.
