Turkey officially opens the beach season. There are no more empty seats on flights to popular resorts of the country, as well as in hotels that offer a high level of service at affordable prices. That is why we recommend booking a tour now. The prices for the “Early Booking” promotion are pleasantly pleasing and allow you to save a lot. As a rule, in Turkey, tourists choose "all inclusive" or "ultra all inclusive" packages. Who wants to think about where to have breakfast, lunch and dinner, when you can just enjoy the sea, gentle sun and cool Tequila Sunrise.
Young guests will feel very comfortable here, as there is no exhausting heat yet and you can stay under the sun for a long time. Protective cream at the same time, no one canceled! Also, the weather will allow active tourists to make exciting long trips and explore the sights of the country. Be sure to visit Cappadocia! Do you take warm clothes with you? Certainly. In the evening it is still cool in spring, but during the day the air temperature warms up to +25..+28°C and you can sunbathe.
May in the Holy Land is a truly summer month, the best time for sea holidays in terms of weather conditions. On the Mediterranean coast during the day it is already quite warm (in Tel Aviv, Ashdod, Netanya - + 24-27 ° C), the sun does not heat the sand, as in July. In the evening it becomes fresh (+17-20°C), the nights are cool. The air temperature in Haifa is one degree lower.
The water cannot be called very comfortable (+21°C), but many people are already swimming. It is hot in the resorts of the Red Sea, in Eilat + 35 ° C, in the water (+ 23-25 ° C) you can stay for a long time. In the Dead Sea, it is simply hot (+31°C). For all the climatic pleasures of May, you will have to pay more than in other months. But comfortable conditions for excursions to unique sights compensate for the financial costs. At the Dead Sea, you can not only indulge in a beach holiday, but take medical procedures.
There are strong waves in the Mediterranean on some days, and surfers take advantage of the moment. Enough here and other marine entertainment: riding on inflatable shells, "bananas", jet skis, yachts, parasailing. Helicopter rides are popular. The Red Sea, which is mostly calm, favors diving and snorkelling. The rich underwater world gives divers a real pleasure with a colorful variety. Trips to ancient shrines leave deep impressions.

Rest in Jordan will be very pleasant and interesting. Here at your service will be gorgeous beaches of the Red and Dead Seas. These places are best suited for family holidays, as there is a real expanse for children - a warm clear sea and an abundance of entertainment. In addition, Jordan is a real paradise for lovers of diving and eco-tourism. The coral reefs of the Red Sea amaze with their beauty and diversity of the underwater world, and the luxurious vegetation of the coast and a very mild climate will allow everyone to spend a few days in complete unity with nature.
Jordan is rich in sights. You can take a tour of biblical sites, visit the famous cave complex of Petra, as well as many other Bedouin and Muslim monuments. And, again, the best time for excursions here will be May, until the sizzling summer heat has come.
The season opens in some European resorts. This is a good time to travel to Greece, the beaches of many islands of this country are already open for swimming, the weather is warm, but not hot, besides, all entertainment and excursions are quite affordable, since prices for them have not yet reached their summer maximum. The beginning of the month is rich in holidays - in Greece, as well as in Russia, Workers' Day is celebrated on a grand scale. There are parades and celebrations all over the country.
At the same time, in many cities, the ancient pagan festival of flowers, dedicated to the goddess Demeter, is celebrated, and a little later, on May 21-23, Pyrovassia, or Anastenaria, is noisily celebrated in many parts of the country. The most important event of this ancient holiday is dancing on hot coals, which invariably gathers a huge number of spectators. Since Greece is a country of the richest culture, it is impossible to ignore the date of May 18, when the country celebrates the International Day of Museums and Monuments. It is useful for every tourist to know that on this day you can get to all the numerous museums of the country for free.
Fans of costume performances can be recommended to visit the Medieval Festival, which takes place at the end of the month on the island of Rhodes. At the same time, a festival of flowers takes place here, and all the streets of the island are generously decorated with flower arrangements, the beauty of which is simply breathtaking.

If we talk about European countries, then the most comfortable and interesting vacation can be on the islands of the Mediterranean Sea. On holidays, many of our compatriots go to Cyprus. Beautiful weather reigns here, and the sun easily warms the water off the coast to 21 degrees above zero.
Along with this, the nights are quite cool. The most popular island destinations for holidays are Ai Napa, Limassol, Larnaca, Paphos, each of which is characterized by unique conditions for recreation. For example, Ai-Napa is more suitable for all lovers of night parties, and for couples with children it is better to go to the beaches of Limassol.
Enjoy water attractions you can in numerous and well-equipped water parks. The cultural life of the island is very rich. It is here that the European Dance Festival takes place at this time, as well as the Anthesteria festival. Anthesteria is a holiday dedicated to the flowers of Cyprus, many of which grow only here.
During the days of the festival, large flower fairs are held in all cities, and among the Cypriots there is a custom to give bouquets of flowers to all your friends. Also at this time, a carnival takes place in Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos. Paphos is the center of all celebrations, and the holiday here takes place on a special scale. And those who were lucky enough to see the Cypriot flower carnival talk about it as an unforgettable spectacle in terms of beauty.

Who was afraid of the rainy season, he is not a "bearded" tourist. Experienced travelers know that precipitation at this time falls mainly only in the evening or at night, and during the day you can safely sunbathe and swim. And the best part is that the prices for tickets are fantastic. The timid ones choose proven Turkey or the UAE, while the economical tourist has a great time in Vietnam, where the water temperature is +27°C and higher.
We recommend choosing a hotel in Nha Trang, there is practically no rainfall here. During the day, the thermometer rises to +32°C. Also take a look at the beaches of Mui Ne and Phan Thiet. In Fukuoka, you can already swim without fear of jellyfish, in addition, May is considered one of the hottest months here. Those who choose Vietnam will definitely not be disappointed, because they will have a pleasant vacation, a variety of entertainment and rich excursion routes.
Another attractive Mediterranean island for tourists is Malta. Everything here is literally buried in flowers - oleanders, bougainvilleas, apple trees, pears, various citrus trees bloom. The whole island turns into a lush flowering garden. Here you can fully feel the breath of spring. Despite the very comfortable air temperature, the swimming season in Malta opens a little later, the sea is still cool.
However, Malta is so rich in various attractions and entertainment that you may simply not have time for swimming. Here you will find numerous excursion tours for every taste, but you yourself must certainly make an exciting journey on the famous red sightseeing train, the route of which passes through the picturesque surroundings of Rabat and Mdina.
Several times a year, the tourism department holds a very interesting historical parade in the capital's Fort St. Elmo, dedicated to the heyday of the power of the Order of Malta.
Soldiers dressed in historical uniforms demonstrate to the audience the ability to handle a musket and an arquebus, then orders are announced, guards are raised and other historical details of the ordinary life of a medieval garrison, which may be extremely interesting to fans of military history. Well, after an interesting sightseeing day, you can try your luck in one of the four famous Maltese casinos.
In this fabulous country of the Adriatic, Russians are allowed a visa-free regime, which greatly facilitates the trip. When the long-awaited warmth comes in Russia only at the end of the month, May is almost a summer month in the seaside resorts of Montenegro. Although there are rains here, they are quite warm and short. Daytime air temperatures at the beginning of the month by noon almost everywhere reach +24-25°С, and the water warms up to +18-19°С (Kotor, Bar, Tivat, Petrovac, Budva, Podgorica).
Of course, not everyone is at risk of swimming at such temperature indicators. But expanse for fans of sunbathing and bronze tanning. Montenegro is not only beaches, but also stunningly beautiful nature, unique monuments of architecture and religion. Participation in organized excursions (quite reasonable prices) will allow you to see the amazing beauties of the Budva Riviera, the Bay of Kotor, etc.
May Day here is marked by the carnival "Queen of the Mediterranean" in Budva. The second half of May pleases with summer warmth, when the beach season is already open on the entire coast. Perfectly clear water, coral reefs - a paradise for scuba divers and divers. But it is worth remembering that coolness quickly sets in here in the evening (+ 12-13 ° C), even in the very south, in Ulcinj (14 ° C). Warm sweaters, jackets and sneakers do not interfere at all. Staying in Montenegro will be the best weekend.
The resort life of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast cannot be called active, but this does not detract from the merits of sunny Bulgaria. All institutions of the coast are preparing to receive tourist flows. Divine nature also seeks to please guests with the lush flowering of gardens. Juicy green lawns, bright flower beds, gentle sun, clean air, the aroma of May herbs drive you crazy.
What is worth only the Rose Valley, which turns into a delightful flower carpet! The Bulgarian sun pleases with its generosity of rays, warming the air in Sozopol, Burgas, Nessebar and Sunny Beach up to +21-22°C, and on some days - up to +25°C. It is cooler on Golden Sands, in Varna (+19-23°С). Feel free to bring sunbathing accessories with you. So far, only walruses can swim (water +15°C). An umbrella also does not hurt - thunderstorms with rain are no exception here.
Cool water does not prevent avid divers in wetsuits from exploring the wonders of the underwater kingdom. Guests of Bulgaria have the opportunity to admire crystal lakes, magnificent mountain ranges, picturesque cliffs, the famous Valley of Roses near Kazanlak. A kaleidoscope of rosebuds meets tourists all over the coast. Local hotels strive to surround guests with hospitality, comfort and budget prices.
The Spanish archipelago of 7 large and 6 small islands of volcanic origin is a resort mecca. Although there is practically no winter here, the swimming and beach season begins everywhere in May. The average monthly air temperature on the islands during the day is +23°С, at night - +17°С, rains are rare. The widest beaches with white and black volcanic sand, picturesque nature are a feature of the Canary Islands.
The most popular island in Tenerife welcomes guests with comfortable weather, without strong winds, storms and minimal rainfall. The waters of the Atlantic (+20) do not yet indulge in summer warmth, but short-term swimming is quite possible. Even ardent lovers of swimming and sunbathing will not be disappointed - in addition to sea holidays, exciting entertainment and excursions await them here.
For example, Tenerife is famous for its many parks (Siam, Loro, Aqualand, Monkey, Jardine Botanico, Ostrich Farm), visiting which causes a storm of enthusiasm among children and adults. Tropical whales swim between the islands of La Gomera and Tenerife, which everyone enjoys watching. In the middle of the month, in the town of Los Realejos, an incendiary display of fireworks is held. And at the end of May, Tenerife hosts a grandiose festival dedicated to the Day of the Canary Islands. Boat trips between the islands (Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura) on yachts, boats are a favorite pastime for vacationers. Staying at any of the resorts is an unforgettable time.

Bright inflorescences of wisteria, bougainvillea, irises fascinate with their beauty. The air and water are getting warmer, "calling" guests to change their spring clothes for summer outfits. With the increase in daytime temperatures at sea, the high season begins.

The island state, consisting of 26 attols-rings, will meet you with equatorial warmth (+30°-31°), water similar to fresh milk (+26-28°C). The beginning of May is the best time to visit here. The wet season has not yet gained momentum, there are short showers that do not spoil beach leisure. Humidity is not as high as in later periods of the month.
The atmosphere of the "bounty" is conducive to a serene rest, when you literally merge with the amazingly beautiful nature. Lazy lying on the sand can alternate with active diving, snorkeling and other types of water activities. The underwater world of coral reefs here is truly fantastic. More than 1,000 dive sites provide bottom exploration opportunities for beginners and experienced divers.
In the last decade, high waves of the ocean, raised by strong winds, give space to surfers, parasailers become more active. Fans of these sports visit Lohifushi, Tari-Villand, Haddumati, Addu (Male Atoll). Divine sunsets in the Maldives are especially expressive - they amaze the imagination with crazy colors. Fishing enthusiasts get great satisfaction from the caught trophies in the form of swordfish, blue marlin, barracuda and other exotic inhabitants of the Indian Ocean.
May is the right month to visit Tunisia. Firstly, you can relax by the sea, and secondly, you can save a lot. At this time of the year, the air heats up to +25-27°C, at night it is also quite warm - up to +21C. But the sea is still relatively cool: at the beginning of the month +17°С, at the end of +21°С. Therefore, there is no mass influx of tourists yet, and prices are lower. The beaches are very pleasant - the sand is white, the entrance to the sea is gentle. You can sunbathe, and healthy people can swim.
At the same time, the entire infrastructure of seaside resorts is already starting to work. Nightclubs are open, music is played at discos, cafes, shops, and entertainment centers are open. May in Thailand is a very peculiar month. It is already very hot during the day, by noon the thermometer is guaranteed to crawl over the mark of + 30 ° C, but it can rise up to + 40 ° C. Sea water is not refreshing - it is warmed up to + 28-29 ° С. Therefore, it is better to sunbathe on the beach in the morning and in the late afternoon, and during the day to be in rooms where air conditioners are installed - in shops, spas, restaurants. You also need to take into account that the sea often storms in May, and if you see red flags on the beach, you should not tempt fate. Be aware of undercurrents.
For diving, this is also not the best month - there are a lot of plankton in the water, visibility is reduced. But surfers will be delighted - they will always find where to ride. Equipment can be rented at very low prices. A little more rain, and at least 4-5 hours of sunshine are guaranteed every day, so you will return home with a good tan. You can take yacht trips, enjoy fruit, take part in local holidays.
It is worth visiting the caves of Mai Kaoe, visiting the orchid farm and the village of sea gypsies. Children will be delighted with elephant rides or jungle tours. On May 5, Thailand celebrates Coronation Day, the Feast of the First Furrow is also very interesting, when the king personally takes up the plow, and the monks bless him. The Fruit Festival is also interesting. Holiday prices are 40% lower than in the high season.
In May, the popularity of the UAE as a tourist destination is lower than in winter. It's getting too hot here and summer is on the doorstep. There is practically no rain in May, and the air temperature during the day reaches + 37C. There are still a lot of people on the beaches, but only in the early morning hours and when the sun is already sinking to the horizon. The sand is snow-white, the water temperature is + 27-28 ° С - heavenly conditions. But you should be careful, you can easily get burned. Those who ride on a yacht need to be especially careful. The breeze creates a feeling of coolness, but solar activity does not reduce.
It is difficult even for the local population to endure the hot climate, so air conditioners work everywhere in the cities of the UAE. In hotels and spas, restaurants and shopping malls, public and private transport. The best option, if you have a driver's license, is to rent a car and see the sights, only briefly leaving the cool interior.
Don't forget to bring long sleeves. They will protect from solar radiation and from sudden changes in temperature when you enter from the street into a room where the air conditioner is working.
In general, in the UAE you can have a good rest, go shopping, swim in the sea to your heart's content. Prices are significantly reduced compared to the high season.

In Malaysia, the high season also begins. The air here remains hot + 30-34 ° С, but there is much less precipitation, and it is much easier to breathe in a dry climate. The sea water temperature is +26-28°C, even children can swim for a long time. You can visit national parks, see their amazing inhabitants, walk along the Sky Bridge, look at temples and mosques, look into beautiful caves. Malaysia has a very special cuisine, and you should not miss the opportunity to get acquainted with it. You will also be impressed by the fact that in some cafes food is served on banana leaves. Holidays in Malaysia will not be cheap, but the vivid impressions that you will take away from here will pay for everything.

In the middle of the day, it can rain unexpectedly, so don't forget your umbrellas. Humidity is quite high.
Scuba diving is a great pleasure for tourists. The underwater world here is the richest. And also very beautiful landscapes - grottoes and caves, thickets of corals. There are few tourists in Mauritius at this time, so you can book places in the best hotels at discounted prices, and there will always be enough places on the beaches.
Also, May in Mauritius is the time of fashion shows, competitions and various entertainment events.
In this country, the height of the holiday season. Egypt is especially in demand during the holidays. Still not scorching as in summer, the sun, fresh greenery, lush flora bloom make the rest here very comfortable. Statistics eloquently testify that in May there is a large influx of tourists. Therefore, having planned a trip to the "cradle of mankind", you should book flights and a hotel early. There are practically no last-minute trips to Egypt. Red Sea resorts (Hurghada, Sharm El Sheikh, El Gouna, Soma Bay) delight with warm sea water (+26°C), summer heat (+30-33°C), hot sand.
The sea is almost always calm, beach leisure is quite diverse. Dive centers are open, there is equipment rental, yacht and boat rental. Lovely white sandy beaches, many ancient prehistoric monuments, luxury hotels made Alexandria an elite resort for Europeans.
A rich cultural and entertainment program brings an interesting variety to the rest. The city of El Alamein is famous for its resort infrastructure and entertainment. Luxurious 4 and 5-star hotels, built in the form of round complexes, have been turned into mini-oases with magnificent pools surrounded by palm trees and flowers. A family vacation is a great opportunity to get even closer, get to know your child better, and most importantly, show him the world and teach him a lot. In addition, even the smallest children will not only enjoy a seaside holiday, but will also benefit greatly from salty waves and iodized air. It is simply impossible to overestimate their beneficial effect on the well-being of both children and adults. However, every time when planning a vacation, many parents are faced with the question of where to go. Many Russians began to give preference to holidays with children on the Black Sea. But do not forget that vacation with children at sea in 2016 is not the only opportunity for an excellent trip. There are many ski resorts that are perfect for families.
Features of holidays with children abroad
The first thing to consider when going, for example, to winter resorts is that for very young children, especially those who are prone to frequent illnesses, this vacation option will not be the best. As for holidays in hot countries at sea, if a child reacts heavily to changes in climate and nutrition, then in this case it is also worth choosing easier options. In some countries, the cost for a child can reach 80% of the total cost of a tour for an adult. However, there is a list of countries that have flexible discount systems for children.
In some resorts, children traditionally have a rest completely free of charge. This opportunity is provided in Cyprus, Greece, Turkey and Egypt. When choosing a country for recreation, special attention should be paid to the sanitary and epidemiological state of the resort. After all, the safety and health of your child is above all the tempting low prices for tours with children. And, perhaps, the last thing to do when planning a vacation with your child: choose a resort with a short flight.

Rest abroad at all times was considered the most expensive pleasure. But recently, tourists can go on vacation abroad freely and the cost of such a vacation will be quite acceptable. Let's take a look at the cheapest holidays abroad in 2019.
In this article, we will try to provide you with a description of the most popular destinations among Russian tourists. Also, many may be interested in reading the information from the article: where to relax without a visa abroad in 2019.
Most popular countries
In Turkey any Russian feels at home and therefore many residents of our country prefer to rest in this country. Turkey is mainly a beach holiday with children on the Black Sea or the Mediterranean. You can also do inexpensive shopping here and naturally visit various attractions. Also, one should not forget about entertainment, which in Turkey is just a huge amount, and therefore every day tourists are waiting for a lot of nightclubs, discos, restaurants and bars.
Holiday prices here fluctuate depending on the time of year, season and part of the country. So, for example, a tour to Antalya will cost about $ 200, to Istanbul - about $ 350, and to Kemer - $ 250. On average, a two-week tour for two can be bought for 1000-1500 dollars, and if you are lucky enough to buy a last-minute tour or go to Turkey in the fall, you can save up to 50% of their cost. Russian tourists prefer Turkey for a good all-inclusive holiday, excellent climate, clear sea and numerous excursions.
Unfortunately, today Turkey is closed to travel companies and many are tormented by the question of when Turkey will be opened. But you can go on holiday on your own.
Holidays in Egypt on the sea is the most traditional among the inhabitants of Russia, since this direction has long been "travelled" by Russian tourists. Here you can enjoy excellent service in hotels, a warm climate, a huge amount of entertainment for only $ 250 for 7-8 days of excellent rest.
Warm Red Sea, gentle sun, All inclusive and, of course, the ancient pyramids- this is what many tourists come to this beautiful country every year with its ancient history and unique monuments of culture and architecture: the Pyramids, the eternal Sphinx and Luxor, which are visited by tourists, all this is worth it to go to this country on vacation. But this route is closed, although there is information that flights will resume soon.
And, of course, the question will be logical: which is better, Turkey or Egypt in terms of service, comfort, food?
Thailand no less popular than Turkey or Egypt, but in this country the high season begins in mid-autumn and ends in early winter. Therefore, if you want to get the cheapest tour, it is best to count on the month of April or May.
A ticket for a ten-day vacation will cost about 700-800 dollars. The cheapest seaside vacation in 2019 will indeed be in Thailand, since in almost any region of the country you can have a great vacation for $15–25 per day. If you decide to go on your own, then on average you will need about $ 400 per month for accommodation with the condition of staying in a hotel in the center of Pattaya. But you can find a vacation and cheaper. On the island of Phuket, Chang, Koh Samui, Phi Phi, you can find a hotel room for $150-200 per month. And if one room is enough for you, then you can rent it for 80-90 dollars.
Thailand has very cheap food, so you only need $100 a month for food. For $2 you can have a great lunch in any cafe, and $6 is enough for dinner in a good restaurant. And if you want to fill your suitcase with inexpensive things, then $ 100 will also be enough for you, without even haggling.
The cheapest seaside vacation
Vietnam- this is an incredibly beautiful place where you can find many corners of nature untouched by man. And even despite the ever-increasing popularity of this country, rest in it remains quite acceptable. So, for example, $ 10 a day is enough for one person to stay at a hotel, meals, excursion programs and massage. And if you're willing to spend $20 a day, you'll be able to indulge in nothing. Therefore, 400-500 dollars for an excellent 30-day vacation will be quite enough. But this is not counting the flight, since plane tickets are not included in this price (a direct flight will cost a little more than with transfers).
Read a useful informative article about comparing countries: What to choose - Thailand or Vietnam, Sri Lanka for quality inexpensive holidays, excursions and entertainment?
Goa (India) is another popular tourist destination, as with 100 dollars in your pocket (6000 rupees) you can have a great rest and not deny yourself anything, especially when it comes to northern Goa.
The cost of a holiday in Goa for a European person is quite low, especially far from big cities and metropolitan areas. The most expensive holiday in Goa is in the winter, since the high season begins at this time, but if you buy a ticket in the off-season, then a tour with air travel at the time of price reduction starts at $ 400. But if you decide to go on your own and live in an inexpensive guesthouse, as many young people do, you can save about 20-30% of your money. Goa is very popular among Russians due to its favorable tropical climate and recreation at almost any time of the year.
Abkhazia is located near Russia and therefore many people prefer to go to this country on vacation, as for many it will be the most budget option to have a great time on the Black Sea. I would also like to note that the Russians do not need visas and passports to go on vacation to Abkhazia and the road will take a little time.
If you do not have a large amount of money, then you can choose a vacation in the private sector, where prices for budget housing do not exceed 300–350 rubles per person per day. If you want more comfortable apartments in the private sector, you will have to pay a larger amount - about 500 rubles. Meals per day in Abkhazia will also cost you from 500 rubles per day. Thus, it can be calculated that a seven-day vacation in this country without travel will cost about 5,600 to 10,000 rubles per person.
Holidays in boarding houses and hotels in 2019 will cost much more. So, for example, a double room in a boarding house or sanatorium will cost from 1600 to 8000 rubles per day. Thus, if you are counting on an inexpensive vacation in Abkhazia, then you will need an amount of 22,000 rubles for two. For 30,000 rubles for two, you can also see all the sights of this beautiful country.
Many Russians, we are sure, will be curious about the answer to the following question: Where is it better to relax - in Sochi, Crimea or Abkhazia?
But the cheapest vacation abroad at sea awaits you in Bali and Cambodia. These countries offer the cheapest accommodation and food for tourists. In Bali, you can find excellent housing for $100 a month and the same amount of food for 30 days. The only negative is a very expensive flight - about 1000 dollars!
Cambodia and Bali are not very famous countries for tourist holiday, and therefore the question will be logical: Where is Bali and Cambodia?
And in Cambodia, you can find a room for $1.5 a night, and buying delicious and cheap food, you will feel guilty that you are paying people so little. A visit to one of the world's most famous monuments of the Kingdom of Cambodia - Angkor Wat will cost you only $ 5.
Exquisite relaxation
Sri Lanka or Ceylon recently began to enjoy great popularity among Russian tourists, as many want to relax in exotic places where beautiful nature reigns and there are many secluded beautiful places and unique cultural and historical attractions.
And it is in Sri Lanka that you can have a great rest in an inexpensive beach hotel for 10-15 dollars a day. And here you can practice a wide variety of sports: diving, surfing, fishing, kitering, rafting, etc. But plane tickets here are not cheap, so it is best to buy tickets for charter flights or for flights with transfers. Thus, for a monthly vacation, you will need about 400-500 dollars.
Greece is a country of ancient gods, the Aegean and the Mediterranean Sea, as well as beautiful picturesque places where you can relax with children at the most reasonable prices. Halkidiki is the pearl of the Aegean Sea, Crete is the island of the legendary Minotaur, Athens is the capital of the country, Rhodes, Peloponnese, Attica, Paros, Corfu and many other islands and resorts in Greece attract many tourists from Russia. And all of them are great for families. On average, a vacation in Greece will cost you $250-350 for 7 days. Currently, this country is one of the cheapest countries that require a Schengen visa, who want to fully enjoy the beach and sightseeing vacation on the sea.
Cyprus can not be called very cheap for recreation, but it is very popular among Russians. A ticket to Cyprus from Moscow will cost about $ 200 per person, but if you get on the action of some airline, you can save from 30 to 50%. But living on the island is quite expensive. The cheapest room in Paphos will cost $30-35, but you can rent a room for $25-28 per night. Food in cafes and restaurants is also not cheap, so it is best to buy food in supermarkets, where there are various promotions and discounts.
If you choose where to relax, between the last two countries, we recommend that you read the differences between them: Which is better to choose - Greece or Cyprus, for example, for a beach holiday?
Europe - vacation spot
Portugal is a member of the Eurozone and therefore cannot boast of the same low prices as Asian countries. But rest here is completely different. It is necessary to go to this beautiful country, which is located in the southwest of the Iberian Peninsula, only to enjoy the taste of excellent seafood, Portuguese cherry liqueur - jinjinha, port wine, and also visit all the architectural monuments of the country's Iberian culture, one of which is the famous Belen Tower - fort on the river Tijos in the region of the same name in Lisbon.
Accommodation in Portugal in an inexpensive provincial hostel will cost from 18 to 33 dollars per day. A room in a three-star hotel will cost from 30 to 80 dollars a day. And accommodation in a boarding house in Lisbon is from 13 to 28 dollars. Lunch in an inexpensive cafe will cost from 6.5 to 13.5 dollars, and one dish in an expensive restaurant will cost from 6 to 24 dollars. Approximately per day for one person you will need about $50, so the total cost of the trip will vary from $600 to $1000.
To spend the upcoming vacation is not only interesting and bright, but also inexpensive - the desire of a tourist with any income level. And although in the conditions of the global and domestic crisis, prices for vouchers continue to grow, it is quite possible to give yourself and your loved ones a budget vacation at sea.
Where to relax - search for budget options
In search of an inexpensive vacation option, tourists mainly pay attention to the cost of living in a hotel in the chosen country and the type of food, missing another important factor - the road. So, the final price of some vouchers increases by half and even more after recalculation, taking into account the cost of tickets.
Considering the available offers, 3 main indicators are evaluated:
Often there is an erroneous opinion that a holiday in Russia is more affordable than a trip abroad. Many resorts are comparable in price to leading European countries, but inferior in quality of service. In the expanses of the motherland there are also places where a foreign tourist does not dare to go, but a Russian will get a lot of impressions and pleasure.
Holidays in Russia
The advantage of a holiday in your own country is the absence of the need to buy a tour. Tickets can be ordered for promotions or exchanged for existing bonuses.
The issue of accommodation can really be resolved on the spot and choose the option that suits the price-quality ratio: a hotel, a private sector, a hostel, and so on.
The cost of food is also regulated: self-cooking takes energy and precious time, but will significantly reduce the expenditure side of the budget. Cafes and canteens will become an affordable option, restaurants will be refined and most expensive.
Black Sea resorts
The former all-Union health resort remains popular among Russians and residents of neighboring countries. A couple of decades ago, a “savage trip”, a hut with outdoor amenities, was considered an excellent vacation.
Today, the Black Sea resorts offer guests international-class hotels with high quality service, mini-hotels and home hotels.
You can save a lot on tickets if you use the services of low-cost airlines - low-cost airlines flying to airports in the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea.
Sochi
The cost of a flight from the capital will cost an average of 6,000 rubles one way per person, the Pobeda low-cost airline has a lower ticket price - from 1,000 rubles, but they are sold out very quickly.
The most budgetary option for recreation will be renting housing in the private sector, visiting canteens or self-cooking. In this case, accommodation will cost approximately 1300 rubles per day.
For connoisseurs of a more comfortable stay, there are 2 and 3 star hotels with cozy rooms. Double standard costs from 3000 to 3500 rubles per day. There are also prestigious hotels with 4 stars, but the price per room ranges from 5000-5500 rubles.
The advantage of hotels is the location and the list of services provided. Baths, saunas, massage rooms, swimming pools, gyms located on the territory of the complexes increase the quality of relaxation.
It is worth considering that Sochi is a year-round resort. You can come here to ski in the winter, meet with a large company New Year, spend christmas holidays with family.
Adler
Adler is a popular resort on the Black Sea coast, where you can get from Moscow (since most Russian tourists go on vacation from here) for the same price as in Sochi, and it’s more economical to relax.
Housing is provided for any wallet. There are offers from expensive comfortable hotels with an expanded range of additional services and from economy housing in the private sector, which will cost 600 rubles per day. A double room in a hotel, depending on the number of stars on its roof, will cost from 3,000 to 8,000 rubles.
Adler is rightfully considered a great option for a family vacation: it is affordable and has a lot of entertainment.
Crimea
The peninsula is ideal for beach and outdoor activities, on your own, as a couple or with children. An air flight to Simferopol costs an average of 7,000 rubles in summer, in autumn and spring ticket prices are lower. Trolleybuses and trains run from the airport to all cities along the coast.
Tourists eat in local cafes and canteens, the average check per person is 200-500 rubles, depending on the place of the meal. Affordable housing is easy to find in the villages - Olenevka, Nikolaevka and others, where prices start at 300 rubles a day.
It will take a little longer to get to the beach than when staying in hotels of the first and second lines, but the beauty of the Crimean nature and the money saved compensate for this shortcoming.
If you wish, you can not limit yourself to lying on the beach, but take excursions to the mountains, wine cellars, visit architectural monuments, water parks and many attractions that are easy to get from any city.
Gelendzhik
People rest here mainly from May to October, but boarding houses and sanatoriums work all year round. The beaches are pebbly or sandy, 80% of them are free.
Gelendzhik is one of the most popular and famous cities on the coast, so you can't count on low prices. Lunch in the dining room costs 300-600 rubles, and a visit to a restaurant costs at least 1,500 rubles, excluding alcoholic beverages. It is cheaper to buy groceries in chain supermarkets and cook at home.
Accommodation can be found both in private holiday homes and modern hotels. In the first case, you will have to pay from 1200 rubles per day (away from the sea) to 2000 rubles (on the coast). In the second - from 3500 rubles per day for accommodation in a three-star hotel.
A flight from Moscow during the peak season costs about 9,000 rubles.
Anapa
This city is famous for the best beaches on the Black Sea. Like Gelendzhik, it receives guests for spa treatment all 12 months, but the season lasts from May to October.
Boarding houses, thanks to the funding of the last eight years, have ceased to be a place of rest for older people. Spa centers, heated pools and modern gyms attract young people in winter and autumn.
For holidays with children, it is better to come in June or September - the sea is warm, but there is no suffocating daytime heat. These months will help make your vacation economical.
There are many hotels in the city, but when planning a family vacation, you should specify the age of the child: some hotels do not accept guests with children under 4 years old.
Average prices per night for accommodation:
Some hotels practice an all-inclusive food system; when relaxing in a sanatorium, you can count on breakfast or three full meals a day.
Those living in the private sector prefer to cook on their own and buy groceries in chain stores. For those who do not want to stand at the stove on vacation, locals will advise canteens where a business lunch or a set lunch will cost 150-200 rubles, in a cafe these dishes cost an average of 500 rubles, and a visit to a restaurant costs 2,000 rubles without alcohol.
Sea of Azov resorts
The shallow and warm Sea of Azov is ideal for families with small children.
The cheapest vacation option is renting housing in coastal villages: there are practically no entertainments and cafes here, but environmentally friendly, natural products, unique nature and good beaches are in abundance.
As well as on the Black Sea coast, it is easy to go here by car or by train to Yeysk, and then by local transport. Or fly by plane to Rostov-on-Don (the round-trip flight will cost about 10,000 rubles).
It will turn out to rent a private house for a week for 1500-3000 rubles, you will have to cook it yourself.
The cost of housing in the village of Golubitskaya and Yeysk is slightly higher - at least 6,000 rubles. However, there are already hotels, parks, cafes and entertainment attractions here.
Altai
Tourists prefer to travel not only to the south to the warm seas, but also to the picturesque places of the north, one of which is the Altai Mountains.
This is a holiday for active people: in winter skiing, for the rest of the year:
The easiest way to get there is by plane to Barnaul or Novosibirsk, and then by bus or transfer of travel agencies (only in summer). It is preferable to use the services of the latter when traveling to the mountains, as drivers are well aware of the local rocky, uneven roads, and in a private car there is a high probability of getting stuck or flying into a ditch.
The average cost of a direct flight from Moscow:
From Barnaul and Novosibirsk to Gorno-Altaisk or Biysk, you will have to travel by train and bus (600-1000 rubles) or electric train (500-600 rubles).
Housing prices depend on the type of accommodation chosen. So, if you have your own tent, this expense item will be zero, you will have to pay for the local service:
You can eat in cafes and restaurants (if meals are not included in the cost of renting a cottage), lunch costs 300-500 rubles per person.
Another item of expenditure when vacationing in Altai is excursions, without which a trip to this region does not make sense. Their cost starts from 500 rubles and can reach several thousand. If you have a personal car, they will cost quite cheaply, but subject to visiting flat sights.
Karelia
This is a unique land of forests and lakes where you can relax all year round. In winter, skiing, dog sledding and sledding are popular. In summer - fishing, rafting, horseback riding, picking berries and mushrooms. Favorite vacation spots for tourists are the islands of Valaam, Kizhi, Solovki, and Lake Ladoga.
It is preferable to stay on tourist bases or in cottage houses, the rent of which will cost 2000-5000 or 10,000-15,000 rubles, respectively.
Services depend on the type of recreation center and its price, as an additional service are:
It is more convenient to get to Petrozavodsk, the nearest point from where tours around Karelia begin, from St. Petersburg. The price of a train ticket is about 600 rubles, after which local transport routes operate.
Almost all guest complexes have cafes or restaurants, but there are also shops that offer a wide range of products for cooking your favorite dishes.
If you have your own transport, you will be able to save on all excursions, and having a tent - and on accommodation. However, in the latter case, it is worth stocking up on repellents, since midges and mosquitoes are permanent inhabitants of the Karelian forests.
Seliger
Holidays on this lake have been popular for several decades. The best place for a budget holiday is a tent on the sandy beach in the company of other tourists. The only problem during the season will be a shortage of firewood and a lack of food in the shops of the villages located near the spontaneous campsite.
Fans of a comfortable stay should rent a private house or settle in a recreation center. For a family, comfortable houses are suitable, for a large company - spacious cottages.
Rent will cost 900 - 1500 rubles per day for a place in the house or 9000 rubles for using a two-story cottage. The cost of living sometimes includes breakfast, it is possible to cook on your own or visit the dining room (average bill - 500 rubles per person).
It is more convenient to get to Seliger by private transport. In his absence - by train to Bologoye, and then by taxi. Ticket price starts from 700 rubles.
Rybinsk reservoir
A good option for an affordable vacation with children for those who cannot afford a trip to the sea or want to spend a weekend by the pond. There are about 40 recreation centers and guest complexes here; lovers of an active and extreme lifestyle can get by with accommodation in tents.
Renting a room will cost an average of 800-1200 rubles, a house - 2500-5000 rubles, a comfortable cottage - 8000-12,000 rubles.
In Rybinsk itself there are hotels, bars and discos, many cafes and restaurants. For lunch for one person you will have to pay about 600 rubles, if you order a complex - the price will be halved for the same dishes.
Tourists prefer to cook themselves - the range of shops located near the camp sites, this is quite possible.
In the absence of a personal car, the easiest way to get there is by train (1200 rubles) or by bus (from 880 rubles).
Tours abroad
If without a passport, the scope of the holiday territory is limited to the Russian Federation, then if it is available, the whole world becomes available.
It is more convenient to buy a comprehensive package tour, including:
Now many tourists prefer to relax without intermediaries, that is, book a hotel on their own, choose a flight, believing that such a vacation is more profitable. This is not always true.
So, it is really cheaper to travel to European countries without the help of travel agencies, but it is still more convenient to purchase vouchers to exotic countries, since flights often cost 2-3 times more than food and accommodation services, which affects the final cost of the vacation.
Important nuances:
Abkhazia
Although the cost of holidays has become higher in recent years due to the actively developing tourism industry, it will still be possible to have a cheap holiday in Abkhazia.
There are two ways to get here without a visa:
It is cheaper to live in the private sector, but you need to be prepared not only for the lack of service, but also for basic amenities: cleanliness, a toilet room in the house.
The cost starts from 1,000 rubles for a house and 2,000 rubles a day for an apartment, but such housing is located far from the sea. An alternative is budget hotels at a price of about 1500 rubles. There are also good hotels in 3-4 stars, accommodation will cost 3500-5000 rubles per day.
Food will take the lion's share of the vacation budget. Low prices in Abkhazia are only for seasonal fruits and vegetables, other products are imported and expensive.
Lunch or dinner in a cafe costs 500 rubles per person, breakfast - about 200 rubles. In canteens and if there is a business lunch, this price can be half as much. An important nuance is unsanitary conditions in cheap establishments, so when eating in them, you should be prepared for some health problems.
Montenegro
The Balkan Riviera is a great place for a family vacation. There are no luxury hotels, night discos and concerts of domestic stars, but this is more than compensated by the cleanest sea and secluded beaches, unique nature and interesting sights. A visa for a stay of 60 days is not required.
A flight to Tivat or Podgorica is available - even during the peak season, August, the price for tickets with transfers will be about 4,200 rubles, a direct flight in both directions will not exceed 16,000 rubles.
The private sector on the Adriatic Sea offers houses from 900 rubles per day, large renovated apartments - from 3500 rubles. If you book in advance, the owners will give a discount.
A room in a 2-3 star hotel on the second line with an all-inclusive food system costs from 3,500 rubles per day, expensive first-line hotels offer accommodation in the range of 7,700-9,800 rubles.
If you eat in a cafe, you should focus on the following prices (per person, excluding alcohol):
Restaurants will cost 1.5 times more.
Turkey
This country has been leading the ranking of the most budgetary foreign resorts for more than 10 years.
In addition to the clean beaches of the Black and Mediterranean Seas, tourists are attracted by the opportunity:
A tourist visa is issued at the airport and is included in the cost of a package tour, which in this case is the most profitable type of trip.
So, it will turn out to have a rest for a week for 250-350 dollars per person, and when buying a "last minute" ticket, it will easily fit into 50 thousand rubles for two. A tour for 14 days in a season will cost 1000-15000 conventional units, in autumn - half the price. All this with your favorite All Inclusive food system.
Thailand
Like Turkey, this exotic country is quite accessible to Russian tourists, and the service in it is not inferior to popular resorts abroad. The season starts in October-November and ends in January, so the cheapest tours are in April and May.
It will turn out to fly to Thailand for a week for 750-850 dollars when buying a tour. If you rest without the services of a tour operator, then renting an apartment per month in the center of Pattaya will cost an average of $ 400.
You won’t be able to spend more than a hundred on food, because for 3-4 dollars you can have a great meal together at any local cafe. Housing outside the city or on the islands costs 2 times cheaper - $ 150-200 per month.
The point is small - to find the cheapest flight, and then for the same thousand dollars you will be able to relax not for a week, but for a whole month.
Georgia
People come here all year round and at the same time receive 3 types of recreation at once:
Buying a tour is cheaper - $ 450-500 for 8 days per person with food and accommodation, but it limits the ability to travel around the country, where you can swim in the warm sea in the morning and conquer the mountain slopes in the evening.
The alternative is car rental, which allows you to view beautiful cities and beauties of nature, and accommodation in private hotel houses or tourist bases.
Renting a furnished room or a small apartment will cost about 2000 rubles per day in winter and 3500-4000 in summer.
Food prices are the most democratic: dinner in a good restaurant with alcohol rarely exceeds 1,200 rubles per person, and prices in cafes and canteens are much lower. In every city there are many fast foods with national dishes that can become worthy competitors to popular establishments. Even with the most wasteful diet, spending more than $300 on food in 10 days will not work.
A round-trip direct flight from Moscow to Tbilisi will cost 250 dollars, with transfers - 15-180 dollars. The country is considered visa-free.
Italy
This is one of the relatively budgetary European countries, where you can fly for 3-4 days, or for a week, if you can buy cheap air tickets.
It is more profitable to buy a flight to Rome or Milan - their prices are reduced due to shopping lovers (about 10 thousand rubles), and then get there by local transport.
The most affordable holiday in Rimini - hotel accommodation with breakfast will cost 75-100 dollars per day. If you're lucky and you manage to take a "burning" tour, the cost will drop to $40. Lunch costs 5-7 dollars per person, dinner - 10-12.
Egypt
The third popular destination, together with Turkey and Thailand, where a week of all-inclusive holidays will cost $ 250-300 per person.
Additionally, it is worth including the costs of excursions, without which a holiday in Egypt for a domestic tourist cannot be considered complete - the Sphinxes, the pyramids and Luxor.
Bulgaria
The most inexpensive form of recreation abroad, which is popular among tourists from the post-Soviet space. The calm sea and sandy beaches of Sunny Beach are an ideal place for a joint vacation with young children or elderly parents, as the level of service here is higher than in domestic resorts.
There are many modest hotels in Bulgaria, where a double room will cost about $20 per night. If you settle in the private sector, the price for accommodation will drop to 15-18 dollars.
Thanks to early booking or buying a last-minute tour, a ten-day vacation with three meals a day, a flight and accommodation in a 3-4 star hotel will cost 20-22 thousand rubles. Approximately the same prices for standard vouchers are valid in the velvet season.
For a trip, you should apply for a visa in advance, and an independent flight from Moscow to Sofia will cost 5000-7000 rubles.
Croatia
This country is also able to boast of budget vacation offers.
So, air tickets to Dubrovnik, Split or Pula will cost 14 thousand rubles in both directions, and the cheapest room in a mini-hotel - 30-40 dollars per day, but its location will be far from the sea and the historical center. The cost of rooms in 4-5 star hotels starts from $130.
The alternative is to negotiate with local residents in coastal villages, who are happy to rent rooms to tourists at a price of $ 250-300 per week.
It is better to eat in cafes and konobs - restaurants with local traditional cuisine. The farther from the city center, the lower the prices in institutions. Breakfast on average costs 4-5 euros, and lunch or dinner - 20 euros per person.
A visa is required for Croatia, you should take care of obtaining it in advance.
UAE
It is difficult to call this destination cheap, but you can save on a trip to the Emirates by buying a last-minute tour or early booking. The number of air carriers in the country is growing, which affects the cost of vouchers, but even this advantage will not allow you to save on an independent trip.
There are no cheap hotels and hostels in the country, food prices are high, so even if you find cheap plane tickets, you will not be able to reduce housing and food costs.
The price for a standard tour for 7 days ranges from 600-700 dollars per person, which is cheap for this country. Hunters for hot trips or those tourists who do not refuse to settle in a three-star hotel on the second line will pay less.
Another plus is that since 2017, you can apply for a visa directly upon arrival at the airport.
Cyprus
Package tours are also popular here, but meals in hotels include only breakfasts and dinners, and sometimes only a morning meal. Ticket prices are reasonable - a flight to Larnaca with classic airlines will cost 11 thousand rubles, with low-cost airlines - half the price.
However, finding a budget hotel is not easy - the cheapest hotels do not have rooms cheaper than $35 per night, and the average price is $45-65.
Add to this food, which in local cafes will cost $ 50 per person per day. The alternative is to rent a studio with a kitchen and buy groceries in a supermarket, which will reduce this part of the budget by a third. A visa to Cyprus is issued upon arrival.
Greece
It will be cheaper to relax in this country than in Cyprus: a flight to Thessaloniki or Athens will not exceed 9,000 rubles. A room in a good hotel costs 25-30 dollars a day. There are hotels in Corfu for 18-20 dollars, but air tickets there are almost 3,000 rubles more expensive.
Food is cheap - the daily budget per person rarely exceeds 17-20 dollars, a week's vacation will cost an average of 320-370 conventional units.
An important caveat - a visa is required, which should be issued in advance.
Vietnam
One of the cheapest exotic countries, where a daily budget of $20 allows you to enjoy all its charms without restrictions. This amount includes accommodation, meals, visits to classic and even unusual excursions.
For a visit to the country up to 15 days, a visa is not required. The most expensive item in the vacation budget will be the flight: a direct flight from Moscow (9-10 hours in the air) costs 28-32 thousand rubles, choosing a route with a transfer will save 5-8 thousand.
India (Goa)
It’s cheap to soak up the Indian Ocean at any time of the year, but even during the season (it comes in the winter months), vacation prices are affordable, especially if you choose the northern territories of the country for your vacation.
A package tour will cost an average of $400, the cost of an independent holiday depends on the rented accommodation: the price of rooms ranges from 8 to 500 conventional units per day.
The local cuisine is delicious and varied, but it is better to check the cost of dishes before ordering. The average check per person is 300-500 rubles for a full meal.
A visa to visit the country is issued in advance. The cost of a flight from Moscow averages 22 thousand rubles.
In order for a budget vacation in an exotic country or in the resorts of your native country to be remembered only by positive impressions, it should be calculated and thought out in advance, having studied all possible options for accommodation, food and travel.
It is advisable to add another 25-30% of the result obtained to the maximum amount - this will be a reserve for unforeseen circumstances necessary on any trip. If the trip goes according to plan, then the amount can be a great bonus for buying an unusual excursion, memorabilia or the basis of the next trip.

We have studied guidebooks, forums, blogger reports, booking systems, websites with food prices and selected the most affordable countries for vacations. For each, we calculated the budget for two people a day and converted it into dollars. This is the average amount for a couple of travelers who live in the same room, do not like to spend too much and stick to the golden mean in everything. After all, everyone understands different things by comfort: one will have enough beds in a hostel, others will still choose among five-star hotels. Therefore, we did not take into account luxury hotels and restaurants, but found out how much it costs to eat in ordinary local cafes and live in guesthouses, mini-hotels or apartments on Airbnb.
In some countries, costs are easily cut one and a half to two times, if you use public transport, there is no tourist places and look for hotels on the principle of "we only spend the night." For India and Indonesia, for example, we recommend a daily budget of $40-50, but these countries can be traveled as a couple for $20 per day.
