Climbing Fisht. Hike to Adygea. Lago-Naki, climbing Fisht and Oshten. Fisht. Small Glacier
the best season for climbing Fisht
Climbing Fisht from the Fishtinsky shelter along the classic route 1B *, depending on the level of training, weather and terrain conditions, takes from 6 to 12 hours and consists of five sections:
Section 1. Leaving the Fisht shelter (point "1" on the diagram), you need to cross the Belaya River over the bridge, and along its left (orograph.) Bank, move north along the excellent path towards the Fisht-Oshtenovsky Pass. After 1.2 km after the shelter, the trail passes to the right bank (a shallow ford over pebbles) and begins to climb towards the Fisht-Oshtenovsky pass. At an altitude of 1800 meters, turn off the path leading to Fisht-Oshtenovsky Pass (point 2) and turn left, towards the couloir to the left of the Red Rocks. Actually, this section is only an approach to the route, the ascent to Fisht itself begins from this point.
Section 2. Climbing under the Red Rocks to the saddle Pshekha-Su - Fisht (point 3). One of the two most difficult sections of the route. On a short stretch of less than 1 km, you need to gain more than 400 meters of altitude. The movement passes through the grass, small stones. Especially carefully you need to go through this section on the descent, when the accumulated fatigue and possible bad weather makes itself felt.
Section 3. At an altitude of about 2200 meters, the trail comes to a wide plateau-like saddle between the peaks of Fisht and Pshekha-Su. Further 1.5 kilometers of the route to the beginning of the glacier at an altitude of about 2500 meters (point 4) pass along the gently rising slope of Mount Fisht with numerous sinkholes, cracks and proavles. In summer, the route is not difficult, in the off-season you should be extremely careful!.
Section 4. Key section. Movement along the glacier and ascent along the destroyed rocks to the western ridge (point 5). This is the most difficult section of the entire route. The main danger is cracks in the glacier. In the period from July to October, all the cracks are open, and it is not difficult to get around them. In the off-season, the cracks are covered with snow and the site is passed in bundles!
Section 5. Movement along the western ridge (destroyed, not steep cliffs) up to the summit (point 6). The main hazards in this area are strong winds, cold and the danger of lightning strikes during a thunderstorm. Be careful and do not go on the route in thunderstorm weather!
I can recommend an excellent report and description of the climbing route from Alexander Shirokolobov. It contains even more details along the route.
Approximate climb schedule
(for a group in good shape, with stops for rest and photography)
- rise - 4:00 am
- exit from the camp at the Fisht shelter - 5:30 am
- exit to the glacier - 10:00
- top Fisht - 11:30 - 12:30
Mount Fisht (2868m), together with the peaks of Oshten (2804m) and Pshekha-Su (2743m), forms the Fisht-Oshten massif. The peaks of the massif are the first in the Caucasus, if moving from west to east, alpine-type peaks, rising much higher than the upper border of the forest, having a wide belt of subalpine and alpine mountain meadows. The river Pshekha originates from the slopes of Fisht, at the peaks of Fisht and Oshten there is the source of the Belaya River, downstream of the Pshekha River, which receives water, and flows into the Kuban River.
Many years ago, on the site of these stunningly beautiful mountains, there was the bottom of the ancient Tethys ocean, and Fisht himself and his neighbors were coral islands. This is evidenced by a diverse fauna, carefully sealed by nature in rocks in the form of a huge number of fossils.
Mount Oshten has five peaks and is one of the safest and most accessible peaks in the Western Caucasus. We will climb the main peak of the mountain (2804m). There are no glaciers on Oshten, but snow can lie all year round. From different sides, the mountain has a relief of different steepness and composition, which gives it incredible beauty and grandeur. The slopes of Oshten are located in the zone of alpine meadows, and the top is rocky. The mountain is made of limestone, so sometimes it is called Snow White. Climbing Oshten is a great start for beginners who dream of moving from easy routes to more serious ones.
Climbing Oshten is not particularly difficult, it is an ordinary trekking route that anyone can do.
Mount Fisht is the westernmost peak of the Caucasus, which has glaciers on its slopes. There is a relic Big Fishtinsky glacier with a bluish surface, which is framed by scarlet limestone rocks. The top of Fisht is crowned with sheer cliffs, and on the slopes there is a unique rare vegetation, rivers and streams with waterfalls. Fisht translated from Adyghe - "white head". The mountain really looks like a wise old man, the keeper of many secrets and mysteries.
We will go to the top of Mount Fisht along the classic route, which has a category of difficulty 1B. Since there are easy rocky sections on the route, climbing this mountain requires some preparation (you can get it by participating in our training trips to Polushkino, Dyuki, Vorgol). The route passes among the rocks and along the glacier, so we will need: a helmet, crampons, a harness, a carabiner and an ice ax.
Climbing Mount Fisht is not just enjoying the beauty of the surrounding nature, it is a chance to test yourself, test your fortitude and take the first significant step into the world of mountaineering.
Fisht is a mountain in the western part of the Main Caucasian ridge, height - 2867 meters. Fisht is the westernmost peak of the Caucasus, which has glaciers on its slopes: the Big and Small Fishtinsky glaciers. In ancient times, the mountain was an island in the Tethys Ocean, which explains its coral structure.
You are expected:
- The stunning nature of the Western Caucasus: protected areas, rocks, beech forests, alpine meadows, mountain streams, snowfields and glaciers
- The opportunity to become a real climber - walk in the snow with an ice ax, in a helmet and crampons, rattle carbines and use the climbing system
- Climbing the first serious mountain peak
- New friends and soulful evening gatherings
- Delicious and varied food from our guide
Route details:
- Minimum level of fitness: good physical shape

Fisht is one of the most grandiose and famous peaks of the Western Caucasus. It is the highest point of the Fisht-Oshten massif. The mountain is located in the western part of the Main Caucasian Range, in Adygea. The height of Fisht reaches 2867 meters. On the northern slope of the mountain lies the largest glacier of the Lagonaki Highlands - the Big Fishtinsky Glacier. Its length is 1.2 kilometers. Climbing Fisht is an addition to the legendary hike "Thirty", known to all lovers of mountain hiking since the times of the USSR. This is a classic climbing ascent of the initial level of difficulty (category 1B). It will be able to master both experienced tourists and physically prepared beginners.
Our path to Mount Fisht will pass along the famous tourist route No. 30, laid through the picturesque Caucasian Reserve with access to the Black Sea in the Sochi region. On this trip, we will not only enjoy scenic views Adygea, but also to conquer the real peak, to get the initial climbing skills. At the top of Fisht we will see incredibly beautiful panoramas of the mountains, which will take your breath away. On the last day of the hike, we will have a rest on the coast of the warm sea.
V hike "Thirty" with the ascent to Fisht there will be no difficult categorical passes. However, climbing to the top requires participants of physical fitness not lower than the average level.
Hiking route:
Krasnodar - Lagonaki checkpoint - Kurdzhips river - Glubokaya Balka gorge - Armenianka river - Oshten mountain - Pseno-Dakh lake - Fisht shelter - Fisht mountain - Belorechensky pass - Cherkessky pass - Babuk Aul village - Solokh Aul village - Dagomys
Day trip program
Day 1. Arrival in Krasnodar, transfer to the Lagonaki plateau (1820 m)
The group meeting takes place on railway station Krasnodar. After getting acquainted, we will move to the Lagonaki plateau. Upon arrival, we will go down to the Kurdzhips River. On the left bank of the river in a forest with 40-meter firs, we will set up our camp. After lunch we will swim in a mountain river with clear water.
Day 2. Radial exit to the Glubokaya Balka gorge, visit to the Mezmaiskaya cave.
After breakfast, we will make a radial hike without backpacks to the Glubokaya Balka gorge. Mezmayskaya Cave is hidden in the rocks of the gorge - one of the amazing caves of the Western Caucasus. We will visit all its truly fantastic halls, the hall of balls and snakes. After inspecting the cave, we will go to the parking lot to the camp. We will walk 16 kilometers in a day.
Day 3. Trek to the foot of Mount Oshten (1952 m)
In the morning we will make a six-kilometer crossing to the sources of the Armenianka River. This place is located at an altitude of almost 2000 meters above sea level, at the foot of Mount Oshten. Here, the forest zone has already been replaced by a zone of alpine meadows, so we will have to do without a fire, and cook dinner on a gas burner.
Day 4. Climbing Mount Oshten (2804 m)
Early rise, breakfast, and we start climbing Oshten. This mountain is one of the safest and most accessible peaks of the Western Caucasus for conquest. At the top of Oshten we will see beautiful panoramas of mountains and valleys. After rest we will return to the camp.
Day 5. Trek to the Fisht shelter (1580 m)
In the morning we will have a quick breakfast and pack up the camp to make the transition to the Fisht shelter. We will slightly change the classical route and go there not through the Guzeriplsky pass, but through the Fisht-Oshtenovsky pass. Such a route is more than one kilometer, but it's worth it, because along the way we will go to Lake Pseno-Dakh! The water in the lake is very clean, it warms up only by the middle of summer, so swimming is only for the brave. After lunch we will continue the traverse of Oshten and having conquered the Fisht-Oshtenovsky pass (2222 m), we will go down to the Fisht shelter.
Day 6. Climbing Fisht (2867 m)
We will wake up at 5.30, have breakfast and boldly go to conquer Fisht. Only 52 meters difference with Oshten, but what! Many obstacles await us: rocks, a large glacier, wind, sun, chamois running along the ridge. At the top we will admire the views and go down to the shelter. We will visit the bathhouse, cook dinner and start celebrating the conquest of the summit.
Day 7. Trek to the small Fishta glacier, pass through Belorechensky pass (1782 m) and Cherkessky pass (1832 m).
Today we leave the Fisht shelter and go further to the sea. In the first half of the day we will climb the Small Fisht Glacier. Then we will make a transition through the Belorechensky pass. In the afternoon we will walk along a picturesque road through the Circassian Pass. We will reach the shepherd's booths and set up our tents there.
Day 8. Noon. Trek to Babuk-Aul (660m)
In the first half of the day we will rest on the shore of a wonderful high mountain lake. By lunchtime we will remove the camp and go to the village of Babuk-aul and further to the border of the reserve, where we will set up a camp on the banks of the Shakhe River.
Day 9. Trek to the village of Solokh-aul, transfer to Dagomys
After breakfast, we will pack up the camp and go down along the Shakhe River to Solokh-aul, where we will take a bus that will take us to Dagomys, the resort area of Sochi. There we are waiting for a beautiful beach and gentle warm sea.
Day 10. Rest on the sea. Departure home.
In September 2019, our club will go to Adygea, or rather, to the Caucasian State Natural Biosphere Reserve. Our base will be a house in the mountains in the village of Kamennomostsky, from where we will leave with tents upstairs, and where we will return after the hike. In 6 days we will cross the Lago-Naki plateau, go through an interesting route through the mountains, see the pristine nature of the reserve in all its glory, learn basic climbing skills, climb Fisht and Oshten - highest peaks district. Simple logistics, short distances and the absence of difficult technical sections make this route ideal for a first acquaintance with the mountains, mountain hiking and mountaineering. about the last trip.

Hike plan:
Day 1: We meet in the village of Kamennomostsky during the day. We check into the base, get to know each other, check and customize the equipment (everything that is superfluous can be left at the base). Radial walk to the Khadzhokh gorge and the zoo. Dinner.
Day 2: at 8 am, a transfer arrives for us and takes us to the cordon of the reserve - here the walking part of our route begins. The main task for today is to cross the Lago-Naki plateau and camp near Oshten. We follow a good path across the plateau to the Abadzesh Pass, which offers a great view of Oshten. We pass the chopped stream with cascading waterfalls and set up our camp nearby. In the evening we train on walking technique and proper breathing, and also learn how to knit basic climbing knots.
Day 3: Climbing Mount Oshten and descending back to the camp. Good training before climbing Fisht. The main goal (except for the top, of course) is to work out the correct technique of walking and breathing. In the future, this technique will be very useful - both on Fisht and in any other mountains. Climbing Oshten does not require the use of special climbing equipment and everyone can do it. After the ascent, we have lunch and transfer the camp to the shore of the picturesque lake Psenodakh.
Day 4: after breakfast we leave the shores of the mountain lake and through the Fisht-Oshtenovsky pass we approach the Fisht mountain. We stop for the night in tents near the Fisht mountain shelter. We conduct training on walking in crampons, work in bundles, self-retention with the help of an ice ax. We train on training rocks nearby. We prepare equipment for an early exit to the ascent.
Day 5: Climbing Mount Fisht and descending back to the shelter. The ascent takes place along the route 1B category of difficulty. This "one" is very strong in its category and allows you to work out various climbing techniques - moving along a rocky terrain, moving along a glacier in bundles, moving along a rocky ridge in bundles, descending / ascending a rope, etc. Everyone will get a good idea about mountaineering. Climbing Fisht requires a basic set of personal climbing equipment (list below). Part of the group, who do not have equipment and who do not want to climb, goes with a second instructor to a radial exit to the Small Glacier of Fisht. In the evening both groups meet at the camp.
Day 6: spare in case of bad weather. In case of waiting, we conduct rock climbing classes, walk around the neighborhood, visit the Belorechensky pass or the Small Glacier, relax and enjoy the nature around us.
Day 7: we go down to Yavorova Polyana - to the cordon of the reserve, where a car will pick us up and take us to the base. On the way we pass two passes - Armenian and Guzeripl. They offer excellent views of Fisht and Oshten. In the evening, a festive dinner and a bath (optional).
Day 8: early in the morning we take a regular bus to Krasnodar (departure at 7:24 am. Our trip is coming to an end, see you soon!

Tour features:
1. This is a classic mountain hike. Simple logistics, short distances and the absence of difficult technical sections make this route ideal for a first acquaintance with mountains and mountaineering.
2. Why do we use climbing equipment to climb Fisht, although many other organizers do not? The answer to this question is extremely simple: because it is correct and safe! The route of climbing Fisht is quite diverse - there is a rocky relief, a glacier, and a rocky ridge. To ensure the proper level of safety on the ascent, our instructors conduct practical and theoretical classes for several days of the hike, teach participants how to handle the basic set of climbing equipment (this, moreover, is also interesting!). Climbing a mountain without minimum climbing skills and equipment is “Russian roulette”. Don't believe? Look into history.
3. Why do other organizers so often offer to climb “without everything”? The answer is also extremely simple: it will be easier for customers (no need to think about where to get crampons, helmets, etc.), which means there will be more of them (clients). Good principle, but not at the expense of safety! If you want to go hiking with us, but don't want to "bother" with renting/buying climbing equipment - no problem! You will be able to walk a beautiful route through the mountains of Adygea, see the nature of the Caucasian Reserve in all its glory and climb Oshten without alps equipment. And Fisht is beautiful from below - you don’t have to climb to its top 🙂
4. If you still decide to "get confused" and get yourself a minimum set of alps equipment - write to us and we will help you with its purchase or rental.

Trekking with climbing Fisht, September 2019.
To begin with, I want to say to all those who are going on this trip - go! Don't think you can't - you can! Instructor Vladimir knows how to make this hike fun, safe and instructive! The main thing is to listen and listen =)
Stunning beauty and heights await the traveler, lakes and passes, rocks and paths. Even a backpack full of food, equipment and other things did not interfere with enjoying the views. I have seen and learned so much in these few days! How to properly distribute things in a backpack, what to do if you fell into a crack (there are things that cannot be explained in words, you must definitely see and participate), how to go down and up the rocks along the rope railing. What kind of animal are "cats" and how to walk in them. The list is still very long.)
I wrote a story about this campaign, I share small excerpts:
“... At first there was no feeling of either mountains or heights. It’s like just going to the forest for the weekend or heading towards the river to launch an old but dearly beloved kayak with a splash. Trail, a large number of people walking in the same direction. Only the backpack is heavier and the slope is unusual ... "
“... It's so beautiful around. You walk along the path, and on one side there is a slope overgrown with tough but strong grass. In some places stunted bushes and flowers grow. On the other hand, low pines go down, very gnarled and looking very picturesque. Immediately, behind the mound, Serpent's Lake lurked. To sit near him, drink hot tea from a thermos, sheer bliss. And if you turn around, you can see how the rocks hang over you. Not giants, but still they cause awe ... "
I personally accidentally found and signed up for this hike, my first big hike with the City Escape club. I do not regret anything and will go there again, maybe even more than once.
I fell in love with Adygea!
The trip itself under the program "Climbing Fisht and Oshten" turned out unexpectedly. I was going to Elbrus, and the vacation days fell on the days of climbing Fisht. Apparently, this was supposed to happen :) Heaven led me to absolutely wonderful places! And the guide and the group helped to fully experience their beauty! Besides me, there were three more wonderful girls! Interesting, different and funny :) Vladimir - our guide - special thanks! The second time I go to the ascent with him and the second time I am convinced that it is possible to “turn mountains” with him. Probably, you can even say it in the literal sense: I climbed to the top! For some, the height is small, but for me it was important to overcome it and, with the help of Vladimir, I was able to do it. Adygea is mountains, passes, lakes, forests and extraordinary, "live" silence!
There are probably many more in the world beautiful places, but my heart is still warm from the memories of the campaign.
To everyone who is going, but still thinking, my wish is to go and see all this beauty for yourself! You will not regret!
Crazy awesome hike. (15.09 - 22.09.2018)
Sign up for it, get ready and go, you will not regret 100%.
The Caucasus Reserve will delight even experienced hikers with its landscapes, warmth and friendliness. Fisht and Oshten amaze with their mysterious beauty, they delight the eye even at night, and at dawn (when you climb Fisht), the first rays of the sun create such a masterpiece landscape that its silent beauty will be imprinted in your memory for a long time, and slides from Soviet filmstrips are immediately recalled, if anyone remembers these.
However, do not forget that a mountain hike under backpacks is not quite like an easy Sunday walk in a forest park. And if the description says “the hike is not difficult”, then you should not think that it is “very easy”. During the transitions you will test yourself both for endurance and weather resistance. And slight fatigue at the end of the day will definitely climb into your sleeping bag with you in order to completely dissolve overnight and disappear without a trace by morning.
But, on the other hand, there is no need to worry and worry about anything.
The route, safety, food, equipment - all these issues have already been resolved even before they arose in our heads, by our professional instructor. If you are going on a mountain hike and you see that Vladimir Olenin will be the instructor, sign up right away. Vladimir has been leading groups in the mountains for many years, climbing Elbrus along all possible (and impossible for me personally) routes. Volodya on a campaign is a true friend, father, comrade and brother. A climber with extensive experience and a rich arsenal of climbing equipment (he has everything with him). Thanks to his training, we got the initial skills of mountaineering, and for the first time I learned about such things as climbing on a jumar, descending with a rappel, self-belaying, quickdraws, bookmarks, friends and much more ... And if earlier I imagined that mountaineering is something very tiring and physically difficult, then thanks to Volodya I realized that, having mastered the technique and the initial skills, mountaineering as a pleasant hobby begins to drag you deeper and deeper, but at the same time you get pleasure. Now I seriously thought about whether I should continue to develop these useful skills in myself.
Volodya also knows how to work wonderfully with people. Having the experience of climbing Elbrus from the south, I came to the understanding that technically climbing Fisht cannot be called easier. But at the same time, we climbed in full force, and this is the merit of our instructor, who, by the way, has an exceptional sense of humor.
In general, the trip was fun and very positive, that's right, in just a few days, complete strangers become good friends!
Highly recommend! Thank you CityEscape!
Comrades! If you suddenly see guides with the names Philip and Alexandra somewhere under (or above) the CityEscape logo, then quit all your work and tear your office claws on a hike with these guys. In order not to be unfounded, I’ll say right away that I did just that and was extremely pleased.
And if in order, then of course at first it was hard to imagine what company you would get into and how everything would happen in general, but everything turned out as well as possible. The hike itself turned out to be just crammed with all sorts of interesting things and, as it was rightly said in the description, it will really be very useful for those who want to dip their head into the world of mountain hiking for the first time. I would like to note right away that an interesting team of the most diverse people has been selected. At first, you don’t even know what to expect from each member of the campaign, and then you yourself will go crazy with everyone together over the generally generated jokes.
Here we were taught a simple minimum of climbing tricks, here we understood how to properly pack a backpack and carry it on ourselves 10 km a day, here we tried to raise our carcasses along sloping walls by rock climbing, etc. There are not enough words to describe what is happening there. Let me tell you - it's worth it.
As for the guides, I really liked the approach to organizing the trip. Everything was thought out as much as possible and you had no choice but to listen to further plans and move in the direction of the guides. Maximum safety and a tasty, hearty meal - this is what the guys are repelled by and it's worth a drink for it. In general, I raise my finger up for the trip and for the guides!
For me it was the first trip with cityescape, I chose between Adygea and Arkhyz.
The route is interesting and picturesque. In terms of difficulty: the first days on the passes with a backpack were stressful, then the body adapted. Climbing Oshten and Fisht are carried out with a lightweight backpack, if you have a small assault backpack and you can’t carry it around, take it.
The group we selected was of different ages and represented the regions of Russia from Moscow to Sakhalin. Everyone was enthusiastic and with burning eyes. No one whined or asked for pens throughout the entire route.
We were very lucky with the weather, it never rained and the sun very rarely hid behind single clouds.
The exit to the picturesque Khadzhokhskaya gorge near the village of Kamennomostsky was a good warm-up before leaving for the Lago-Naki plateau.
I liked the day, which was devoted to rock training on Fishtenok: climbing on the jumar, descending with the rappel.
The most interesting experience was climbing Fisht (2867 m). Here for the first time I walked in a bundle, and also for the first time passed a glacier in crampons. The average pace of the group during the ascent made it possible not to get too tired on the ascent, and to pay attention to photographing beautiful landscapes.
I want to pay special attention to the instructors, Philip and Sasha. I really liked the methodical and consistent nature of their explanations, as well as the emphasis on climbing safety. Stories about “we went to Fisht in sneakers” are not about them. “Insurance in mountaineering should be redundant” - this is the true motto of the guys, and this phrase was a balm for my soul, especially after reading stories about the National Assembly of various groups who were careless about the organization of ascents.
Despite all the above pluses, there was a minus - they fed for slaughter, I even had to limit myself 🙂 If someone considers this trip as a way to lose weight - forget it, I gained 1.5 kg)
In general, there are only positive impressions from the trip and I will go with the guys again with pleasure, if there is an opportunity.
This hike was the 4th in my life and the first not with school) I found out about city escape almost by accident - I stumbled upon the VK group when, in a fit of nostalgia for the mountains, I was added to all thematic communities in a row. As a result, among all the firms, it was this one that attracted me with a convenient website, regular photo and simple reports on past events and an emphasis on security. What many may consider a disadvantage: the use of equipment in easy routes, the refusal to conquer the summit in case of adverse conditions are undeniable pluses for me. In our trip, the weather also did not allow us to climb the top of Fisht, but I do not regret it at all. On this day, we went to a small glacier, where we learned how to cut ourselves, walked along the snowy slope in cats and even saw a chamois - one of the rare animals that live in the Caucasian reserve)
Initially, it was a bit scary to go to the mountains in the company of complete strangers, but the company did not disappoint) Despite the heterogeneity (among us were both experienced hikers and absolute beginners, and the age ranged from 19 to 55), the group came out well-coordinated and friendly.
Guides Philip and Sasha know their business perfectly. Unhappy Phil answered the same questions 10 times, because someone listened, someone misunderstood - and all without a shadow of irritation) It was very comfortable to go, somehow such a pace was chosen that the group did not stretch and walked very united. Usually I trudge at the end, but here I went without tension in the top three)
The places themselves are amazingly beautiful! In summer there are so many flowers that you can drown in them) One of the most vivid impressions became a rainbow, which I did not expect to see in the mountains, and large flocks of butterflies))
The route is quite easy, the most difficult thing was to go down from Oshten. At the end of the trip, we were waiting for a warm dtssh and barbecue at the base :)
thanks for good vacation, nice company and beautiful photos to the guys from City Escape! If you are going on a hike organized by Philip and Sasha, you don’t have to be afraid, you will like it 🙂
I decided to write a few words about my trip to Adygea in October 2015. First, it was great. I am deeply in love with nature and mountains, therefore, this is not my first ascent, but I can say with confidence that it is one of the most memorable! Just right for beginners, feel all the delights of hiking ?. Secondly, upon arrival, in addition to the fees, we had a tour of the Khadzhokh gorge - a local natural park based around a deep gorge in which the Belaya River flows. Be sure to visit there, even if you do not go to the mountains, the place is wildly beautiful! The Belaya River is bright blue and has rapids, like one huge long waterfall. By the way, a very popular place for rafting and competitions. In general, our plan was as follows - within a week to conquer the two most high points route - Oshten and Fisht, which are located within the Caucasian Reserve. Although the mountains are similar in appearance from the outside, the routes of climbing them are very different from each other, both in time and in relief. All in all, you didn't get bored! I thought about the house at most once a day, and then briefly. Climbing Fisht was a real surprise for me - I did not expect to see so much snow! Despite the snowy weather, it was physically very pleasant and comfortable to be there. It turned out that in one trip I visited three seasons at once - summer, autumn and winter! The weather changed every hour, in a few minutes the whole sky could be covered with clouds and vice versa, so whoever wanted to be above the clouds, but with the ground under their feet - you go to the Caucasus! And of course, an obligatory component of any hike in the mountains is an early rise, which you quickly get used to. One huge plus of such an ascent is the opportunity to see in all its glory the beauty that is usually shown in bbc programs about space. Note to astronomers... there was no free space in the sky from the stars. As if it was white and bright from them, and even whiter than a thick strip of the milky way.
In general, they got up early, on the days of ascents, even at 4-5 in the morning and met the dawn along the way. The rocks are very beautiful and bizarrely shaped, flooded with the pink light of dawn. And there is also a very cool shelter for tourists and climbers, well-maintained, there is even a bathhouse, for a fee, but cheap enough, if you go in a group, is it generally almost free ?. By the way, a local bear came to visit us in the evenings .. at first we were scared .. I would say that my heart went to my heels when I looked to the side and saw him fifty steps away ?. But then the hostess of the shelter ran out with oatmeal for him, and everyone began to treat the bear easier))). The next day, the long-awaited ascent to Fisht was supposed to take place, but bad weather blocked our path. We waited in the shelter for a day, the next morning, to my great joy, the peak opened and we climbed safely! Part of the ascent fell on the Big Glacier - it is really big and, of course, very beautiful. On the last day, we went down through a couple of passes and further through the forest of the reserve. And what a forest there ... like in a fairy tale! A lot of bizarre trees .. and they are all huge, as if they were 300 years old. Then we went down to Khadzhokh by car - about an hour away, and along the way you can buy cool souvenirs, honey, nut jam and real Adyghe cheese, and all at an affordable price. Below, in addition to the gorge, there are still a lot of places where you can actively and interestingly spend time, but let this already remain a surprise for you, so feel free to go!??? And sometimes walnuts on the street sometimes fall on the head and pears can hit the forehead if you walk in the dark - wildly fun ???. I really enjoyed the trip, thanks a lot to the guys from Cityescape!
