In addition, when booking a ticket, a personal e-mail is also indicated, the booking code is duplicated on it. If you did not find the specified code in the Inbox folder, then be sure to check the Spam folder. It happens that letters arrive in it.
What to do if the ticket was bought through an intermediary
You should pay attention to those who buy tickets on the websites of intermediaries - in this case, the booking code is not provided. Instructions - how to register for an Aeroflot flight
First of all, the passenger must be the holder of a ticket purchased in advance.

After the ticket is booked and purchased, the system will prompt the passenger to print the boarding pass. If you do not have it when boarding the flight, then you are not allowed to board the aircraft.

On the Aeroflot website, you can check in online, select seats in the cabin, print out your boarding pass and, in the absence of luggage, immediately go to passport and customs control for foreign flights, pre-trip control and boarding for foreign and domestic flights with this ticket.
If you have luggage, in addition to electronic check-in, you also need to go through the usual check-in, but at special check-in desks (if there are any at the airport), which are called Drop-box. In the absence of such special check-in counters and if the passenger has luggage, you will still have to go to the usual check-in along with the rest of the passengers, alas.
Online check-in can be done on the Aeroflot website one day (that is, 24 hours) before departure. For example, if the flight is on August 2 at 8.20 in the morning, then you can check in on the morning of August 1, starting at 8.20.
Regular check-in at the airport for an Aeroflot flight can be completed within the time limits specified by Aeroflot. This can be either 2 hours before the flight departure, or 6 hours, or even 24 hours, if, of course, the passenger is interested in being at the airport of departure for more than 20 hours after checking in.

The Online Registration page is very long (see Figure 2 for an abbreviated version). This page has many links to useful information for Online check-in, for baggage transportation, there is a FAQ (frequently asked questions).
This page contains a quote from Aeroflot (Fig. 2):
"Attention!
Availability of paper boarding pass required to proceed to the boarding gate. In case you were unable to print your boarding pass at home, you can print your boarding pass at the self check-in kiosks at the airport.”
This is good advice from Aeroflot, but on one condition: if you are “in your native land”, where everything is in Russian and, as you know, native walls help at home.
But what about in other conditions, when you don’t know the language, but you need to fly? You can go to check-in (alas, in the order of the general queue), show on your phone, on a tablet, or somehow explain that there is Online check-in, but there is no “print”, that is, there is no printout of the boarding pass. If an understanding is reached with the airport employee at the check-in desk, then you will be printed out immediately without any problems with the seats and parameters that you booked during Online check-in.
At the end of the page (Fig. 2, number 1), click in the box opposite the inscription "Confirm that you have read and agree to the terms of online registration" so that a check mark appears.
After the checkmark appears, a miracle will happen: the “Continue” button (number 2 in Fig. 2) will turn into a joyful orange color and become clickable. This means that we are on our way there: we click on the “Continue” button and we get to the start of the Online Passenger Check-in procedure.
3 Enter the booking code and the last name of the passenger for Online check-in

The booking code (number 1 in Fig. 3) is issued on the Aeroflot website when booking (purchasing) an air ticket. You can immediately write it down in your notebook (cheap, reliable and practical) after buying a ticket.
The Aeroflot code consists ONLY of Latin (English) letters, for example, FFHIWH.
You can also print the ticket, then in the printout in the upper right corner it is easy to find the booking code. Also, the booking code when ordering a ticket comes to you:
- by SMS to a mobile phone (if the phone number was correct when booking),
- by e-mail (do not forget to check the Spam folder if there is no letter from Aeroflot in the Inbox folder).
3.1 How can I find out the booking code if the ticket was purchased through an intermediary?
If you bought a ticket for an Aeroflot flight through intermediaries, for example, through the Tutu service, then you most likely have an order number on this service, which includes not only Latin letters, but also numbers.
In this case, the code for online booking on the Aeroflot website, you can find out directly from this intermediary. You can contact the intermediary, for example, by phone and find out the booking code for online check-in on the Aeroflot website using your order number.
If there is a booking code, then online registration on the Aeroflot website can be completed without problems.
We enter on the site page "Online registration" (Fig. 3):
- Booking code (number 1 in Fig. 3),
- the surname (in Latin letters) of the passenger who bought (booked) air tickets for the registered flight - number 2 in fig. 3.
Like the booking code, it’s also a good idea to write down the passenger’s last name in a notebook after booking (purchasing) an electronic ticket. Let's imagine that the buyer had a surname the Generation Blueseatransitioner. And how will it look when written in Latin letters? Can you reproduce your last name in Latin twice in different time, and so that these two spellings do not differ from each other? That is why it is better to write down the last name in Latin in a notebook along with the booking code.
The gray button "Search" (number 3 in Fig. 3) will become bright after filling in fields 1 and 2 in Fig. 3, click on it. Now Aeroflot starts Searching for an air ticket with the entered data in its database.
4 What not to bring with you
While Aeroflot is looking for our ticket in the database so that we don’t get bored, it redirects us to the page “Hazardous Substances and Items Prohibited for Transportation”. This list includes:
- Magnetized substances
- Toxic, poisonous and poisonous substances
- Flammable solids
- Compressed and liquefied gases

5 Selecting Passengers for Online Check-in

- We check the names, surnames of passengers (now we just check, and do not enter, since Aeroflot stores in its database the full names of the passengers that were indicated when booking and purchasing tickets),
- check the boxes (numbers 1 and 2 in Fig. 4), or you can check the box next to the inscription “select all passengers ready for check-in (and the number of such passengers is indicated in brackets, in this case there are two of them, as shown in Fig. 4)” ,
- click on the button "Select a seat" for the first passenger (number 3 in Fig. 4). Of course, for those who like to do the opposite, you can start choosing a seat for the second passenger, so to speak, from the end. But still, it is better, so as not to get confused later, to choose seats for passengers in the order of their numbering. First for the first, then for the second, ... and so on.
6 Choosing seats on the plane
Then it is possible to choose a seat in the cabin for the first passenger:

On the presented scheme of seats on the plane, select an empty seat (number 1 in Fig. 5), click on the “Save” button (number 2 in Fig. 5). If something went wrong when choosing a seat for a passenger, then click on the button “Return to the beginning of registration” (number 3 in Fig. 5).
I want to draw your attention to the fact that the diagram of the aircraft, on which you can choose a seat for a passenger, looks much larger on the computer screen than in Figure 5. On the computer screen, you can see the entire aircraft, all rows of seats, you can see where the wing of the aircraft is located (for those who likes or vice versa does not like to “sit on the wing”), etc. On fig. 5 shows only a small piece of the picture of the aircraft, just to save space, so that the picture is not larger in size than the entire article about Online Check-in on the Aeroflot website.
Similarly, we choose a seat on the plane for the second passenger. As a result, we get confirmation of the choice of seats on the plane (Fig. 6):

7 Cherished "Register" button
The seats on the plane have been selected, and we are entering the finish line: we click on the "Registration" button (Fig. 7). Actually, for the sake of pressing this button, everything that was written above was done.

8 Aeroflot approves Online check-in
By clicking on the "Registration" button, we get to the "Online check-in" page, on which we find confirmation of the registration of passengers (Fig. 8):

That's it, the passengers are registered, now they will be allowed to board the plane. True, they will be allowed in if the passengers have boarding passes in their hands, which will be discussed below.
By the way, in Fig. 8 pay attention to the buttons 2 and 4 - "Change location". If necessary, you can change seats for passengers after Online check-in. We do this in the same way as shown in Fig. 5.
9 The essence of the completed Online check-in is that passengers have boarding passes
If there is a printer near the computer, then immediately print boarding passes by pressing the buttons marked 1 and 3 in Fig. 8, or number 6 in the same fig. eight.
If there is no printer “at hand”, and even if there is a printer, but just in case (“so that it is” :) or “Schaub Bulo”), we send ourselves a boarding pass by e-mail. Then we will go to our e-mail, download the boarding pass there, write it to a USB flash drive, or in some other way make it so that at the first opportunity we print the ticket on a printer that has come to hand.
By clicking on the “boarding pass by e-mail” button (number 5 in Fig. 8), we will get the drop-down dialog box “Send boarding pass by e-mail” (Fig. 9):

The "All passengers" field, marked with the number 1 in Fig. 9, we leave it unchanged, because it is convenient to receive one file with boarding passes for all registered passengers by e-mail.
In the "Email address" field, marked with the number 2 in Fig. 9, enter (WITHOUT errors!) your e-mail address. You can enter additional email addresses in this field separated by commas. This is just in case that the letter from Aeroflot reached for sure. Unfortunately, the spam filters of Yandex, Mail.ru, Google and other mail services have become much tougher, so emails may not always reach recipients for various reasons.
I know from my own experience that, for example, official letters from Mail.ru and from Yandex, I was surprised to find a couple of times in the Spam folder. If you have a habit of skimming through Spam for important messages that "accidentally" got there, then it's okay, a letter from Aeroflot can be found in the Spam folder.
The “Send” button (number 3 in Fig. 9) will turn from gray, inactive, into orange, active immediately after the email you entered is “liked” by Aeroflot in the sense that the email passes a preliminary automatic check for functionality on the site. For example, when entering an address in the form: Nadezda @ yandex, the Send button will remain gray, because you need to enter it correctly: [email protected](without spaces before and after the dog, and also at the end there should be “.ru”).
As soon as the “Send” button (that is, send information about the name of the mailbox) turns orange, click on it and get the message “Boarding passes have been sent for all passengers” (Fig. 10):

10 How to open a boarding pass received by email address
Now we go to our mailbox and look for letters from Aeroflot there. For example, in my mail I found 2 letters from Aeroflot OJSC, sent with an interval of 2 minutes:
- 1st letter - with the heading "Payment for booking MXTYXL on the website of the airline JSC Aeroflot",
- 2nd letter - with the heading "Information on booking MXTYXL on the website of the airline JSC Aeroflot".
As you probably already guessed, the combination of Latin capital letters “MXTYXL” in the letter header is not accidental and is a ticket booking code.
Having opened the letter from Aeroflot, we find the file attached to the letter in pdf format. First of all, save it to your computer. To do this, click on the attached file with the RIGHT mouse button, in the context menu that appears, click on the "Save As" link. Next, save this file on your computer, for example, on the desktop.
The only thing left is to open the pdf file. Just click on the file and it will open.
- If this does not happen, it is likely that your computer does not have a program for reading pdf files, for example, Adobe Reader, more
- If “it’s not clear what” opened, it means that the operating system opened the file with the “wrong program”.
In any case, you need to find out if your PC has a “normal” program for opening a pdf file as follows:

- We click on the file with the RIGHT mouse button (number 1 in Fig. 11).
- In the context menu that appears, left-click on the "Open with" link (number 2 in Fig. 11).
- Another menu will appear with a list of programs that "undertake" to open the pdf file. Without problems (that is, in normal form) opens a pdf file, for example, the free program Adobe Reader (number 3 in Fig. 11). Click on it (number 3 in Fig. 9).
The file with boarding passes has been opened, now the most important thing is to print them. By the way, if you do NOT need to check in your luggage, then after completing the Online check-in and printing out your boarding pass, you can arrive at the airport and go straight to boarding without stopping at the check-in counter.

5. AIRLINE DATA - Booking number
Booking alphanumeric number (PNR CODE).
6. ENDORSEMENTS/RESTRICTIONS - Endorsement/Restrictions
This column indicates various restrictions on carriage on this ticket, as well as the possibility of "transfer" (endorsement) of the passenger to another carrier. For example, if the column indicates "LH ONLY", then this means that this ticket is valid on Lufthansa flights. It also indicates the permitted actions for this tariff. For example, "REB FEE USD50" or "NON REF" means: "penalty for changing the booking - 50 USD" or "ticket refund is not possible".
7. NAME OF PASSENGER - Surname and Name of the passenger
It is indicated only in Latin transcription (writing). After the surname, the first letter of the name or the full name is written through a slash, and the designation is separated by a space (MR - Mr., MRS / MSS - Miss or Mrs.). According to IATA standards, this field allows up to 3 errors.
8. CONJUNCTION TICKETS
If the itinerary includes more flights than there are flight coupons in the form, such a ticket is issued on several forms and cross-references are made here to other ticket numbers.
9. STOPOVER - Stopover indicator. X/O (no/yes)
If there is a stopover in this city for more than 24 hours ("stopover"), then this field is empty or there is an "O". If the passenger does not stay here for more than a day, then this column is "X". The use of a stopover is reflected in the total cost of the ticket due to airport taxes, since in the absence of a stopover, some taxes are not paid, which makes it possible to reduce the price of the ticket.

If the ticket is exchanged, then the number of the original ticket is entered in this column.
11. VALIDATOR PLACE - Validator field
Stamp of the agency that sold the ticket. Must contain the name of the agency, its short address, a unique office number, i.e. IATA number or Aeroflot code. Alphanumeric reference of the agent issuing the ticket. Ticket issue date.
12. FROM / TO - Flight route
English spelling of the names of cities and airports is used everywhere. Each ticket coupon allows you to fly between two cities, which are highlighted in a different color (usually dark) on this coupon. Cities are arranged from top to bottom, that is, the first flight will be between the highest point and the one below it. If there are several different airports in a city, their three-letter codes are written after the city.
13. CARRIER
The carrier's two-letter airline code. The codes are defined by IATA (International Air Transport Association) for example:
SU - Aeroflot,
LH - Lufthansa,
AF - Air France.
14. FLIGHT - Flight number
CLASS - Booking class.
A Latin letter denoting belonging to a particular class. Usually:
F, P, A - first class.
J, C, D, I, Z - business class.
W, S, Y, B, H, K, L, M, N, Q, T, V, X - economy class.

19. NVB/NVA - Not valid before/not valid after
The date before and after which, respectively, you cannot fly on this flight coupon (if the fare rules allow changes in dates). For most "hard" feed-in fares, both dates coincide with the date of departure for this coupon. If the columns are empty, then this means that this ticket is valid for at least a year.

26. Ticket number
The first three digits are the airline code. For example, 555 - Aeroflot.
You are going on a trip, everything is ready for departure. But at the airport it turns out that the reservation is not valid or there is an error in it. To avoid this, you should play it safe, check the ticket in advance.
Ticket verification methods
There are several ways to check the accuracy of a flight reservation made online:
- Call the number of the airline you are flying with.
- Through the Internet.
All the data necessary for checking the ticket is indicated in the electronic receipt (E-Ticket). It will be sent to your email if you purchased a ticket on your own via the Internet. If the air ticket was ordered through a travel agency, the employee will print it out and give it to you.
E-Ticket contains the following information.
The itinerary receipt will also indicate the total cost of the ticket, the date of its issue.
The airline's booking code will be needed during online check-in or when clarifying flight details on the carrier's hotline. The reservation code of the booking system is useful for checking the ticket through its website.
Checking an e-ticket
If you do not have access to the Internet, you can check your seat reservation by calling the air carrier. The operator will ask you to provide the ticket number, the airline's booking code, the passenger's last name (if necessary).
Checking through the airline's website
You can check the ticket by number through the official website of the carrier. To do this, fill in the fields of a special form:
- ticket number;
- carrier company booking code;
- last name (as indicated on the itinerary receipt).
If the seats on the flight were booked through a travel agency, then there may not be data on them on the carrier's website. To clarify information about the flight, it is better to call the hotline of the airline.
Checking through the booking system
To reserve seats on a flight, 4 global booking systems are used:

The ticket, as a rule, contains information about the system in which it was booked. To check, you need to go to the website or to the mobile application of the system. Fill in the required fields, indicating the system reservation code or the number of the ticket itself, last name (as in the electronic receipt). Press the "View" button. If the seat on the flight is reserved, the payment went through, then the “Confirmed” will be indicated in the “Status” column.
It is impossible to clarify information about the status of the reservation only by last name either on the carrier's website, or in one of the global reservation systems, or when calling the airline. Also, it will not work to check the ticket by ticket number without specifying the reservation code.
Global booking systems allow you to find out not only whether the payment for the reserved seat on the plane went through, but also flight details, metro map or schedule public transport, weather. Here you can also find maps and descriptions of iconic sights.
What to do if there is an error in the reservation?
Misprints in an e-ticket can disrupt your trip. After receiving the E-Ticket, carefully check the spelling of the last name (must match the passport) and date of birth, the number of the document itself.
If errors are found in the spelling of the last name or first name, you must:
- Contact the company on whose website the plane seats were booked, report an error.
- If the reservation was ordered on the carrier's website or in one of the global booking systems, then you need to call the airline's hotline number.
The following scenarios are possible:
- Inaccuracies will be corrected without penalty.
- The airline will allow you to use a ticket with typos.
- A fine will be issued, the ticket with errors will be canceled, and the passenger will be able to reserve a new one.
Money for a defective ticket will be returned minus a fine. The term depends on the specific carrier and the bank with the card that paid for the purchase.
If the name and surname were mixed up when filling out the E-Ticket form, then you do not have to change it. It is enough just to warn the airport employee who checks in for the flight.
An error in the date of birth or passport number is corrected without penalty. It is necessary to call the airline hotline and ask the operator to correct the inaccuracy.
No booking
If the check of the ticket reservation was not successful, you must:
- Contact the travel agency that booked the tickets for details.
- Refer to the customer assistance section of the service through which you booked the ticket for clarification. There may have been a failure and the payment has not gone through yet.
- Contact the air carrier for details.
- It is better to print an electronic ticket and have it with you. This is especially important for international flights.
- You can find out information about the status of a flight, its cancellation or delay on the website of the carrier company.
- A letter with the E-Ticket data can arrive by email within an hour, so if you don't receive it right away, don't panic. But if the email is delayed longer, you should contact the operator of the service on which the seats were booked or call the airline's hotline.
