Shooting at a tank standing on a hill. Tactics on the Swamp wot map for the lower base team
Map view of the Sacred Valley
The map is quite open, but hilly. In the center of the map there is a ruined castle, around which there is a village resembling buildings of oriental (Chinese, Japanese, etc.) architecture. Around the village rise steep mountains, which beckon players with an abundance of their most wonderful positions, which not very, say, straight-armed guys don’t even know about.Typical random battle tactics
Let's first take a look at the card itself and what it is!The bases are located on both sides along the perimeter of the map. Combat actions always take place in familiar standard places. Always at the beginning of the battle, 90-95% of the composition of both teams go to these familiar places and only a few individuals can shake up what they have in their heads and climb into those places from where they are difficult to get and where they can inflict a large amount without any fear.
Where is he shooting from? - Cool dives!
Let's now talk about how to inflict a large amount of damage without exposing yourself to enemy fire, as efficiently as possible. We all know that the most important thing for a good and effective fight is choosing the right position. This factor plays the most important role in every battle. And I want to tell you about a few of these niggles.Position A3
The first position is located in square A3. Getting here is very easy and quick! Opens on site full view in 2 directions of fire, and the tree and house reliably hide your tank from enemies (even from artillery). The only nuance of all these positions is that your tank should be as light and fast as possible. M8A1, T67, Helket, RU251, Chaffee are best suited for this. There are many other tanks that are capable of conquering these peaks, but I’m afraid they simply don’t need it. From these positions you can both shoot damage and .Arrival point at the position. From acceleration we simply fly up the hill, and then up the wall!
The most cherished position! Beware of enemy PTs that are standing near the enemy base and work on light LT!
Position E0
The second position is located in square E0. Just like the previous position, it is very easy to climb to it. It’s true that there is a certain danger here from enemy artillery, but this is not such a big problem if you position yourself correctly and don’t twitch too much so that you don’t get exposed! Also, on the other side of the same hill, you can work out the second direction of attack from your base, thereby reliably keeping it under protection. The view from the position of the enemy horizon is simply gorgeous!
Position J9
The third position is located in square J9. Enter it from the second position E0. We rise to the second position, and then go into free slalom along the snow-covered hills down line 9 towards square J9.View from a position of absolutely all main directions in battle!
First line of shooting!
The second line of fire in the village near the bridge near the castle!
The third line of fire to the control points, where enemy tanks are usually located at the descent to the path leading under the bridge to the castle!
The fourth line of shooting in case the enemy has pushed in the opposite direction and is trying to come at you from behind from your base!
Position F7
Well, the final position is located in square F7. This hill in the center of the map has many steep positions from which you can practice absolutely all directions on the map for a full 360 degrees. The hill is quite flat, so you can cross in any direction without much difficulty! There's just one thing. Don't go into the castle itself! You won't see anything from there, and climbing the mountain back from the castle is quite problematic! You can also go to the castle wall, only there is a great danger from enemy artillery, for which you are a tasty morsel and easy prey there. Go to the wall only if you are 100% sure that they will not hand you a big “suitcase” and send you to rest in a warm region called the Hangar, drinking a cocktail of anger and hatred for “one-button machines”!View of the position itself! Your tank is securely hidden in dense thickets of bushes and in order to spot you, the enemy needs to try very hard!
The enemy does not see me, even though he is already dangerously close to me. But I can confidently fire at the enemy using my own light, relying on my own. In the same way, you can move to any other direction and conduct confident control fire on enemy forces from shelters and holes on the hill, without fear of being overexposed, since rarely does anyone drive up to the center of the map.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I would like to clearly show you one of these positions and what you can do when choosing the right position! You can see how these tips work for you and what results you can achieve with their help. I hope my story will not be in vain and someone will take note of this. Always remember that there is only one warrior in the field, if he is properly tailored! You can always turn the outcome of the battle in your favor thanks to these nuances and correct positions.
1.1) Why, when firing at a tank located on a hill, if it disappears from exposure, the shell does not hit it, but flies much higher.
In the game, as in reality, the projectile flies along a parabolic trajectory, but in reality the gunner was responsible for guidance, who took into account the distance to the tank and, depending on it, adjusted the position of the barrel: the further the target, the higher the gun needs to be raised (but not more than 45 degrees).
In the game, the aiming system is simplified and designed in such a way that the flight path of the projectile is automatically adjusted to the point where your sight rests, that is, the barrel lifts up automatically. After a little theory, we proceed directly to the analysis of our situation.
An enemy tank has been discovered and is standing on a hill. We aim the gun at him and wait for information or reloading.
At this time, the tank disappears from the light, and then the sight is automatically adjusted to the point where the sight is looking.
It doesn’t matter what it is, a distant mountain or the sky. The projectile still has to travel a greater distance, and to cover a greater distance we also need to raise the barrel more, and we get a more curved trajectory, and the projectile flies much higher than the point where we wanted to hit.
1.2) Three ways to shoot at a tank located on a hill that has disappeared from the light.
1.2.1) Method number 1 – lucky.
We aim the center of the sight at the very top of the hill where the enemy tank was just located, and fire a shot. If you're lucky, the FBR will deflect the projectile in such a way that it will fly just above the top of the hill and hit the tank exactly.
Red- the outline of an enemy tank that disappeared from the light.
Blue– an arrow pointing to a projectile passing over a hill.
Addition:
It is necessary to aim the center of the sight exactly at the hill, because when aiming it at a distant point, the projectile will not be able to deviate in such a way as to hit the tank. You must understand that if you are lucky and the projectile goes just above the hill, then the projectile will go just above the hill . (figure of speech)
Based on this, we need to draw conclusions:
If you see the ENTIRE enemy tank (that is, it is standing on the top of a hill), then in the event of the tank disappearing from the light, this method is unlikely to suit you. After all, if a shell flies just above the hill, it will either pass under the tank or hit its track. And if the hill slightly hides the lower part of the tank, then this method is perfect, because the shell, flying over the top of the hill, will just hit the tank’s hull. The chance that the projectile will fly as we want, that is, above the hill, is less than 50%, since the central point of the sight faces the hill.
1.2.2) Method No. 2 – prudent.
If you see a tank on a hill and understand that if during your aiming or reloading it may disappear from the light, then you need to aim the gun as usual, and then, while aiming or waiting for reloading, fix the barrel with the Right Mouse Button (hold RMB). And even if the enemy tank disappears from the light, you can safely open fire, knowing that the projectile will fly exactly where it is needed.
The target has disappeared from view, but our gun maintains its previous position.
The central point of the sight, in fact, is located behind a hill, just in sniper mode, the hill seems to block it.
Do you want to feel yourself behind the levers of a combat vehicle and feel its power? Giving full throttle, rush across rough terrain, flying up hills and raising a cloud of spray, crossing small rivers. Then online World game of tanks simply created for you. Heavy tanks are discarded due to their clumsiness; self-propelled guns and tank destroyers are used for other purposes. Most suitable - light tanks.
So how do you still play on light tanks?
Intelligence is our calling in WoT
The main task light tanks(In the game they are called LT) – reconnaissance. Start. The last seconds are counting down. "The fight begins." During these moments, the player must decide where to go in order to indicate to his allies possible options direction of the enemy's movement.Lasville map game "World of Tanks", “gut” (a narrow corridor separated from the main space by a mountain range). “Yes, a group of enemy vehicles will move here.” Breaking out of the general order, "firefly" rushes to the isthmus to take his position. Part of the allied team slowly moves after him. Managed. The enemy has not yet appeared. Hiding behind a stone hill, the player periodically goes out into the open for reconnaissance.
"That's it, fire contact."
Enemy armored vehicles appeared. One of the enemies thoughtlessly crawled onto a hillock, falling into the firefly’s field of vision. He immediately transmits the coordinates to his allies. A red dot appears on the team's mini-map. A carefree silhouette of the enemy appears in the sights of allied vehicles. Shots, explosions. The thickly smoking carcass puts an end to this fight. One less. But others are not asleep. The reconnaissance tank itself was caught in the light. A strong beat. The roar of an exploding landmine, a sharp voice in the headphones: “The track is damaged, movement is impossible.” Excruciating seconds of waiting while repairs are underway. At this moment, several units of enemy armored vehicles immediately begin to storm the hill. The line of defense cannot stand it and breaks down. It's time to retreat. Trying not to come under fire, LT rushes to his base. There's nothing wrong with that. There is no point in competing with the enemy's guns. Light tanks almost always end up in battle with vehicles much higher in class than themselves. There can be several endings to this battle: the firefly did not have time to leave the dangerous area and was destroyed; went to the other flank and began to help the allies there; died in an unequal battle with medium tanks that broke through to the base. What else can the little LT hero do in World of tanks?
It turns out, a lot. There are at least three more options for conducting combat operations.General exposure
In this case, you will only work to gain experience for yourself, dear one. The allies will receive practically nothing from your dash, unless the “art” has time to converge and fire a shot or two at the enemy. At the very beginning, a sharp throw is made towards the enemy’s base or to the place of his intended deployment (in the event of a counter battle or assault). Most selected short route. And the maximum speed is squeezed out. Objective: get into contact with the enemy as quickly as possible and detect as many of his armored vehicles as possible. It is a pity that many enemies are waiting for this and keep their guns ready. It is extremely difficult to maneuver when several guns are aimed at you at once. The death of the “firefly” in this case occurs very quickly. But in the end. Did the Allies win? A large number of experience, game currency and the Scout medal for discovering at least 9 enemy units. Team loss? A little experience and silver from the World of Tanks game. But overall, it’s also not bad.
"Beware, arta"
At the beginning of the battle, the list of the enemy team is carefully reviewed. Finally, self-propelled artillery mounts appeared. A little tank destroyer. And almost only tanks. This means that there is plenty of space and you can go hunting. The target is artillery. Why are “petashki” a formidable enemy? They have better range and accurate weapons. They “spot” the scout before others and destroy him. In this case, there is a chance to break through the defense line and go to the rear, marching to all the places where self-propelled guns like to occupy positions. If such a target is discovered, the main thing is to very quickly enter the flank of the enemy’s gun. If the “art” noticed you in time and switched to direct fire mode, then... You will see the walls of your native hangar almost instantly. If you managed to approach it at an angle, then first of all “put it on the harp” (destroy the chassis) so that the enemy cannot turn towards you. And then... The feast begins. Shot at the front (rear) roller, at the body, again at the roller. Don't forget to constantly move. Stopping in place is death for the firefly. The art is “disassembled”. We move in search of the next target, if they are still there. In such a battle, “friendly fire” often occurs. Allied artillery converges on the “highlighted” target and fires a salvo that goes to you. You shouldn’t judge strictly, everyone wants to earn silver and experience points, but what about the fact that they missed and hit you? It's nothing you can do.“Forward, eagles, and I’ll follow you,” or we’ll do as much mischief as we can.
Studying the list of participants in the battle shows that there are no self-propelled guns, but everyone else is almost equally divided. You can try to help your allies by highlighting the enemy's direction of movement, but there is another possibility. For the first two minutes of the battle, you can just stand and see who is going where. Then choose the direction of movement of the majority and follow them without overtaking them. It is very important. Tank groups came into combat contact. This is where the work begins for the firefly. The opponents grappled with each other, focusing only on each other. And at this time, a nimble and fast LT sneaks between the steel bulks and does its “dirty” business. It knocks down tracks, disables engines, and damages fuel tanks. The rear armor of most armored vehicles is practically non-existent. You can't think of anything better for a small caliber. Shot, change of position, shot again. You don't even need to use the sniper aiming mode. The main thing is to constantly move. Sooner or later, one of the enemies will pay attention to your actions and decide to destroy the annoying “fly”. We hope you understand how to play LT using our guide. See you on the battlefields!
