Places for transporting bicycles are usually located in the last carriage of the train. You should also enter the train with a bicycle through the doors with the corresponding icon.
The bicycle must be placed in the train carriage on the platform provided for this purpose and secured to bicycle racks. If a bicycle is moved around the carriage, this will already be a violation. There is no need to purchase an additional ticket for transportation.
"Mosgortrans"
You can carry a bicycle on buses, trams and trolleybuses of the State Unitary Enterprise Mosgortrans, provided that there is free space in the storage area in the cabin. At the same time, a two-wheeled vehicle should not create inconvenience for other passengers: you cannot take up too much space, move around the cabin, or transport a dirty bicycle.
Entry with a bicycle into a tram, trolleybus or bus equipped with turnstiles is permitted through the second door after all passengers have exited. Let everyone through, and only then come in with your bike.

"Mostransavto"
According to the rules of the State Unitary Enterprise Mostransavto, bicycles can be transported disassembled or folded in the luggage compartment of a bus. In this case, the total dimensions of the vehicle should not exceed 180 cm.
This is a paid service. To transport a bicycle up to 25 km, you need to pay from 30 to 60 rubles. A ticket for a bicycle for a distance of 25 to 50 km will cost from 60 rubles. Transportation over 50 km will cost 90 rubles and more.
You can also insure your bike in case something happens to it along the way.
According to Article 22 of Federal Law No. 259 “Charter of Motor Transport and Urban Ground Electric Transport”, you can carry free on buses items whose total length, width and height do not exceed 120 cm - this can be a folded scooter, a baby stroller or a skateboard.
Electric trains
For Moscow Railway passengers with bicycles, special CPPC tariffs apply.
In a regular train or "Swallow" free pass with a bicycle is available in the morning before 06:00, from 11:00 to 16:00 and in the evening after 21:00. In this case, you must issue a free ticket at the box office.
The rest of the time, you can also transport bicycles, but for a fee: for a ticket for transporting a bicycle up to 100 km you need to pay 60 rubles, over 100 km the tariff increases to 120 rubles. There is a document that regulates the transportation of bicycles and other things in the subway - “Rules for using the subway.” These rules are almost the same in all Russian cities that have a metro system.
They usually don’t say a word directly about transporting bicycles. It doesn’t say that riding with a bicycle is allowed, but there is no direct ban on it either. It is for this reason that some cyclists enter the subway with a bicycle, and no one stops them. Others are stopped. The fact is that the “Rules” state that it is forbidden to transport cargo whose size in height and two bases in total exceeds 220 cm, and it is also prohibited to transport objects that can injure or stain other passengers. Theoretically, a bicycle can dirty other passengers, this is one of the reasons for prohibiting its transportation. It can also injure someone on an escalator if you don't hold it back.
In addition, there is a postal message “On the procedure for transporting bicycles in the subway,” written in 2008, which states that transporting a bicycle in the subway is prohibited. According to this document, a bicycle can only be transported unassembled and packed in a case. In 2002, a previous version of this postal message was created, it stated that you can transport a bicycle with one of the wheels removed. Not all cyclists are aware of the tightening of these requirements.
Bicycle cover
If the inspector or responsible employee of the metro does not allow you to carry a bicycle on the subway, then there is no point in arguing or arguing with him: he is just abiding by the law. Therefore, you should prepare in advance for transporting your two-wheeled friend by purchasing or making your own bicycle cover. By the way, a bicycle can be transported in a case not only in the subway, but also on a train or.
The easiest option is to buy a case in a store. The cheapest models of covers cost about 600 rubles, and if you often transport your bicycle on the subway or other types of transport, this will be a profitable purchase.
You can also sew the cover yourself, there is nothing complicated about it. The front wheel of modern bicycles can be removed quickly and easily, and put on just as quickly, so no one tries to carry a disassembled bicycle around stations.
After passing the turnstiles, the wheel must be immediately returned to its place and the bicycle can be safely rolled on. Many (but not all!) people on duty at the turnstiles understand the essence of the problem and do not force you to remove the wheel. But sometimes you can find an attendant who does not allow a passenger with a bicycle into the station at all, under any conditions, even with the wheel removed. You should also be prepared for such a meeting.
Everyone understands that you should not take a bicycle on the subway during rush hours. And ride around the stations too.
In general, you can only carry a bicycle on the subway if absolutely necessary, early in the morning or late in the evening. And it is often safer to ride a bicycle ten kilometers around the city under your own power than to conflict with the guards on duty at the turnstiles and with passengers in the carriage.
City ground transport.
In the city ground transport Carrying a bicycle is completely inconvenient. Yes, usually there is no need. The length of a city bus-trolleybus route rarely exceeds 5-10 km, and you can cover such a distance on a bicycle much faster than on the same bus.
Suburban electric train.

In carriages of other designs there are no places for bicycles, and they have to be placed between the seats. This is no longer so convenient: it is not very pleasant for other passengers to sit with their knees resting on your horse, especially if it is not very clean, and if there are a lot of people in the carriage, conflicts are possible.
Another option: leave the bike in the vestibule, but then you will have to stand in the vestibule the whole way. You can, of course, lock your bike to the handrails in the vestibule and go into the carriage yourself, but you still need to keep the bike in sight.
In general, it is quite recommended that cyclists, summer residents, and fishermen transport their bicycles on electric trains.
We will leave the issue of paying for travel on an electric train with a bicycle outside the scope of this article. Let me just note that the payment amount can be, to put it mildly, “optimized”, and everyone chooses the methods of this optimization for themselves, coordinating the requirements of Russian Railways, with their conscience and financial capabilities.
Train long distance.
Long-distance trains are often used by tourists planning a long trip.
It turns out that carrying a bicycle on a long-distance train is quite convenient, but for this you need to prepare it in advance.
According to the baggage transportation rules, any passenger has the right to carry hand luggage weighing up to 36 kg free of charge. That is, any bicycle, even with a backpack, easily fits into this limitation. And an ordinary bicycle slightly does not fit into the permissible overall dimensions. The bike will have to be disassembled a bit to become regular carry-on luggage.
To carry a bicycle on a train, you need to purchase (or sew yourself) a bicycle cover in advance, and prepare several ropes about a meter long.
To load the bike onto the train, you will also need to remove the pedals, and you may have to loosen the steering wheel. This requires some tools. When preparing for your trip, select the keys and screwdrivers that will be useful for loading your bike onto the train and keep them nearby.
Please also note that removing the pedal may require considerable effort. And if you don’t want to exercise two minutes before the train departs, don’t be too lazy to unscrew the pedals from the cranks at home in advance. Then apply a little grease to the threads and screw them back on. Just don't wrap it too tightly.
Immediately before loading onto the train you need to:
- Remove the bike backpack and everything that can be easily removed from the bike (fenders, lights, bike computer). It is better to put small items in the pocket of a bicycle backpack, and large ones in a bicycle cover.
- Remove the front wheel from the bike and tie it to the frame on the right side with ropes (there it will slightly protect the rear derailleur).
- Turn the steering wheel 90°. This is easier to do if the front fender has already been removed. And if you can’t remove it without tools, you first need to loosen the steering wheel mounting screw.
- Lower the saddle until it touches the seat tube.
- Unscrew the pedals from the connecting rods and screw them on the other side.
- Pack the disassembled bike in a case.
Now your bicycle is quite suitable for loading into the carriage, and the conductors will not have any complaints about your luggage.
If you are going on a cycling trip, it is better to purchase tickets for a reserved seat carriage. A bicycle packed in a cover fits very well on the third shelf of an ordinary reserved seat carriage. If your fellow travelers start to worry that your bike will fall on their head at night, you can secure the cover with one or two more ropes to the ceiling of the car. It’s best when cyclists like you ride in the compartment with you. Therefore, if you are going on a hike not alone, but in a group, then try to purchase tickets in the same compartment or nearby.
It is quite possible to load four bicycles into one compartment of a reserved seat carriage if you place them on the third shelf not along, but across the compartment. Each bike lies on two shelves at the same time, everything is secure and safe.
True, in Lately New-style reserved seat carriages began to appear, the creators of which, it seems, did not suspect the existence of cyclists (as well as kayakers and skiers). Preparing a bicycle for a ride on an intercity bus is not much different from preparing for a long-distance train. Modern intercity buses have large luggage compartments where you can put a bicycle packed in a cover.
Aviation transport.
If you are going on a bike trip in an area where trains do not go, or it takes a very long time to go there by train, then you will have to use an airplane. You need to pack your bike in a case, just like before loading it on the train. You just need to take into account that you will load your bicycle on the train yourself, but on the plane it will travel in the luggage compartment, and how carefully the loaders will handle it there is unknown. It is possible that they will walk on it and break something. Therefore, it doesn’t hurt to put sheets of cardboard from a large box in the bike case in advance.
Rules for the carriage of baggage in different airlines may differ, so it would be a good idea to consult with an airline representative about transporting a bicycle before your trip. So that there are no unpleasant surprises at the airport.

The only condition is that the beginning and end of the journey be in Moscow or Moscow Region. In the carriages of JSC Moskovsko-Tverskaya PPK, you can transport a bike for free only within the Moscow Region. Bringing a bicycle is only allowed if you have taken a free ticket. It is prohibited to enter the train with a bike without a ticket. You cannot buy a ticket in advance: it is issued only at the time indicated above.
To transport a bike on a train, remove at least one wheel and put the entire bike in a bag

There is no need to buy a separate ticket to transport your bike on the train. Simply take it apart, put it in your bag, and place it in your carry-on rack. The most convenient way is to put the bike in a special one.
How to pack
Remove the front wheel, saddle (the pin can be pushed into the frame or removed along with the seat) and handlebars from the bike. To make it even more compact, sometimes the pedals and rear wheel are removed. Don't forget that the two pedals have different threads!
To avoid getting your bag dirty, it is better to pack a clean bike in it.
Arrive at the platform early to avoid any disputes with the conductors. If suddenly you are not allowed into the carriage with a packed bicycle, make sure that:
- The weight of the bag does not exceed 35 kg.
- The cover must be soft so that the bicycle in it does not injure other passengers or damage their belongings.
- The bike must fit on the carry-on luggage rack; the dimensions of the bag with the bike (the sum of three dimensions) must not exceed 180 cm.
If these rules are followed, you have every right to transport your bicycle on the train.
Some people prefer to put the bike in a case in the luggage compartment. It must be submitted 12 hours before the departure of your train. The bicycle will not necessarily travel on your train, so you may have to wait for it upon arrival. The bike may arrive faulty and damaged in the luggage compartment, so this method is rarely used.
And most importantly: be extremely careful on the railway tracks! Not long ago, a train hit a cyclist crossing the tracks. It is very dangerous! You need to cross railway tracks only in places specially designated for this purpose. Make sure there is no train coming either to the left or to the right. Otherwise, wait until it passes, even if the train is still very far away. Walking or cycling along railroad tracks is prohibited. Take care of yourself!

The solution is to pack the bike in a bike case, try to carry it disassembled, or travel by ground transport.
Ground public transport (bus, tram, trolleybus)
The “Rules for the Use of Ground Passenger Transport” do not say a word about bicycles, but there is one point that, if a precedent arises, the controller can interpret in its favor. This paragraph states that the passenger “is not allowed to carry carry-on luggage as baggage and hand luggage, the sum of three dimensions exceeding 180 cm.” Your bike (if you don’t have a BMX) exceeds the sum of three dimensions 180 cm (only its length is already approximately 160 cm!). Conclusion: there is nothing to do with a bicycle (even in a bike case) on a bus, tram, or trolleybus. This probably sounds too categorical and you yourself will give more than one example of transporting bicycles, even unassembled, on public transport. It’s up to you - you can and probably should always try to negotiate with the conductor; our task is to warn you.
* regarding the transport of bicycles in suburban and international buses— here you will have to negotiate with each driver individually. There are no rules as such. The most likely option is to transport the bicycle in a semi-disassembled state in the trunk of a bus. You may be able to arrange transportation directly in the cabin. Regarding payment, it depends. Sometimes you will have to pay for both yourself and the bike, and sometimes only for yourself - no patterns have been established.
Local and long-distance trains
Suburban and long-distance trains across Russia
Unassembled bicycles on commuter trains are allowed to be transported in the vestibule for an additional fee and no more than one.
Unassembled and packed in covers, bicycles, according to the current rules of travel on railways, are allowed to be transported free of charge, provided that they fit the description of the term “oversized cargo”. If, at the same time, your bicycle and backpack are also weighed, and you accordingly receive a receipt for the weight of your luggage, then the conductor will have no chance at all to prohibit you from boarding the train.
It is more convenient and easier to travel with bicycles in a reserved seat carriage - four bicycles, packed in pairs in covers, can be easily stored on the third shelf. For the peace of mind of your fellow passengers, it is useful to have a rope ready to tie bicycles to handrails, handles, etc.
When packing bicycles in covers, the front wheel (sometimes both) is removed, the steering wheel is turned, the pedals are unscrewed and screwed on the other side of the connecting rod inside the frame. The removed front wheels are placed either in the same or in a separate case. When stacking bicycles, do not damage the most vulnerable parts of the bicycle - the connecting rod system and the rear dropout with a cock. Experts recommend that when packing, pad the bicycle parts with pieces of old foam (tourist mat) or bubble polyethylene - this will help avoid scratches and possible damage. If you don’t have time to buy or sew a cover for transportation, you can use regular large garbage bags (120 liters each) instead. Two of them can be used for removed wheels, another two are put on the frame on both sides.
However, there is another option - if there is a free utility seat on the train, you can try to negotiate with the conductor: perhaps, for a certain amount, he will agree to allow you to carry the bicycle even in an unassembled form.
International rail connections
Regarding international rail transport, each country has its own rules. The most likely option is that the bicycle must also be disassembled and packed in a case (it is understood that it must fit on a standard luggage rack, similar in size to those that can be seen in our local trains). In this case, they will not charge you any additional money either. Another option is to have a special carriage (usually the first or last), which only happens in certain trains. In the schedule, such a train is marked with an icon depicting a bicycle. A “bicycle” is a regular carriage from which some of the seats have been removed. To use this carriage, you need to buy a bicycle ticket, which usually costs from 3 to 5 euros and consists of two parts. You stick one on your bike and keep the other for yourself, and both parts must be validated before boarding the train, just like a regular ticket.
There are no uniform legal norms that would regulate the transportation of bicycles by plane. The rules are determined by the specific airline that carries out the transportation. Therefore, even before purchasing tickets, it makes sense to ask what conditions exist for a given carrier.
Some airlines classify a bicycle as oversized cargo and force you to pay for its weight in full, regardless of the total weight of the baggage; others classify the bicycle as sports equipment and its weight is paid towards the baggage allowance.
Company restrictions on the size of luggage carried may also vary.
According to the rules, the bicycle must be packed in a bike bag or box, but usually it is enough to wrap it in strong plastic and tie it with a rope. Naturally, this must be done before entering the airport terminal. If at check-in you are asked to pack it in a box, be prepared to pay about $20 extra for it. If there is no such desire, you need to say in a confident voice that you always drive like this. Most operators are faced with the problem of transporting a bicycle for the first time and will let you through. Since a packed bicycle is classified as “non-standard” luggage, it is delivered separately to the plane and back - as “oversize luggage”. This means you won't need to place it on a standard conveyor, but will instead either leave it at the register or take it to a special wide belt conveyor. Accordingly, you will also need to pick it up not from the general carousel, but look somewhere nearby on the floor or next to a special compartment for such luggage.
Ferries and high-speed catamarans are equally convenient for transporting bicycles. On the ferry, the bicycle remains in the hold along with cars and mopeds. All you have to do is tie it or fasten it to some device in case of rocking. On a catamaran, you are allowed to take your bicycle with you into the cabin and place it somewhere near the exit. The issue of payment is resolved ambiguously. Somewhere they may require you to purchase a special ticket of the same cost as at railway. But in other places they won’t take additional money at all.

17.2 Carry according to the tariff:
- one piece of hand luggage, the size of which (according to the sum of the measurements of length, height, width) does not exceed 180 cm;
- hunting and service dogs in muzzles with a leash and an appropriate certificate from a veterinary institution on the rear storage area.
18. The passenger is not allowed:
- driving public transport while intoxicated or wearing soiled clothing, smoking, leaning out of windows, placing children or luggage on seats, operating brake lights or door openers (except to prevent accidents), distracting the driver and talking to while driving, prevent the doors from closing or open them until they come to a complete stop;
- carry as baggage and hand luggage flammable, explosive, poisonous, flammable, poisonous, radioactive, caustic and foul-smelling substances, hand luggage, the sum of three dimensions exceeding 180 cm or the weight of one piece exceeding 60 kg, firearms, piercing and cutting objects without covers, objects and things that contaminate rolling stock or passengers' clothing, long objects over 190 cm (except skis);

I. General provisions
63. In accordance with paragraph 32 of the Rules for the provision of services, each passenger has the right to carry with him free of charge one travel document (ticket), in addition to small items of hand luggage, no more than 36 kg, and in carriages with 2-berth compartments (SV) - 50 kg hand luggage luggage, the size of which in the sum of three dimensions does not exceed 180 cm. Carry-on luggage includes items carried by passengers with them, regardless of their type and type of packaging, which in size fit into passenger carriages in places provided for placing hand luggage.
When traveling on long-distance and local trains, a passenger has the right, in addition to the established norm, to carry hand luggage with him under the following conditions:
- weighing up to 14 kg for an additional fee at the baggage rate of 10 kg with the issuance of a “baggage in hand” receipt to the passenger;
- weighing up to 50 kg for one additional travel document (ticket) purchased at full price in one compartment of a carriage with 2-seater compartments (SV) and a carriage with 4-seater compartments;
- total weight up to 150 kg in a separate compartment with payment of the full price travel documents(tickets) for four seats.
If the passenger does not wish to pay for the transportation of excess hand luggage, the weight and dimensions of which exceed the established norms, or to hand it over for transportation as baggage or in a carriage - a mobile storage room, then such hand luggage will not be transported.
In accordance with the established allowance for carry-on baggage on long-distance and local trains, passengers are allowed to carry unassembled and packed baby strollers, kayaks, and bicycles without a motor, if their size can be placed in places intended for carry-on baggage.
65. On a commuter train, a passenger has the right, in addition to the established norm, to carry up to 50 kg of hand luggage for a fee determined in accordance with paragraph 151 of these Rules
Carriage of hand luggage in excess of the established norm on commuter trains is formalized by issuing an additional commuter ticket with a fee charged at fixed rates established by the railway. Allowed in the vestibule commuter train carry, for a fee determined in accordance with paragraph 151 of these Rules, no more than one bicycle not disassembled.
80. Baby strollers, non-motorized bicycles, wheelchairs and other similar items may be accepted for transportation by the cargo and luggage pickup and delivery person on trains directly into the baggage car running on the train. Such baggage will be accepted after prepayment transportation at the ticket or baggage office based on the distance and the fixed weight of each item - 20 kg, and weighing more than 20 kg - with payment for the actual weight at the baggage rate. The passenger is issued a baggage receipt. The specified items are accepted from passengers traveling on the same train, without overloading along the route. Baggage is issued directly from the baggage car.
87. When accepting unpacked bicycles without a motor for transportation as luggage, the luggage receipt shall indicate the number, brand, type of bicycle (adult, child) and what accessories are with it (bell, pump, flashlight, bag, etc.).
149. When transporting piecemeal items in a baggage car (bicycles without a motor, wheelchairs, baby carriages and other things of a similar size), the fee is charged for 20 kg of luggage or cargo luggage, and weighing more than 20 kg - with payment for the actual weight in accordance with paragraph 151 of these Rules. In the case when other items are presented for transportation along with individual items, they are all weighed together and payment is charged on one receipt for the total weight.
151. The fee for transportation on suburban trains of small pets, dogs and birds, bicycles without a motor, wheelchairs, baby carriages and other items of similar size, as well as hand luggage in excess of the free carriage allowance, is established by the railways
Rules for the carriage of baggage on airplanes, established in the Air Code and the “Temporary Procedure...”, introduced in 1993 and in force to this day.
Air Code
Article 106. Services and benefits provided to aircraft passengers
1. The carrier is obliged to organize services for aircraft passengers and provide them with accurate and timely information about the movement of aircraft and the services provided.
2. An aircraft passenger has the right:
- 1) travel on preferential terms in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and the rules of air transportation established by the carrier;
- 2) free transportation of your luggage within the established norm. Free baggage allowance, including items carried by the passenger, is established depending on the type of aircraft and cannot be less than ten kilograms per passenger;
- 3) free, for international air transportation - in accordance with a preferential tariff, transportation with one child under the age of two years without providing him with a separate seat. Other children under the age of two years, as well as children aged from two to twelve years, are transported in accordance with a reduced rate and are provided with separate seats;
- 4) free use of the services of rest rooms, mother and child rooms, as well as a place in a hotel during a break in air transportation due to the fault of the carrier or in case of forced delay of the aircraft during departure and (or) in flight.
3. The procedure for providing services and benefits to aircraft passengers is established by federal aviation rules.
Temporary procedure for establishing and regulating tariffs for passenger transportation and related work and services on domestic airlines (approved by the State Committee for Prices of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation dated February 19, 1993, NN 01-55/306-15, 1-c)
In pursuance of clause 12 of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated September 17, 1992 N 1089 “On state regulation of prices for certain types of energy resources” and clause 7 of the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated September 17, 1992 N 724 “On state regulation of prices for energy resources and other types of products and services" from 01.01.93 there is a transition to the use of free tariffs for the transportation of passengers by air and related work and services on domestic airlines of the Russian Federation.
In connection with the above, as well as taking into account the provisions of clause 8 of the Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Russian Federation "On some issues of application of the legislation of the USSR on the territory of the Russian Federation" dated 03.03.93 N 4604-1, the following procedure for the formation of free tariffs for these services is established:
- 1. Free tariffs for the transportation of passengers and related work and services, rates of fees for commercial and technical maintenance of aircraft, their takeoff and landing on domestic airlines within the territory of the Russian Federation from January 1, 1993, are developed and established by airlines independently, regardless of their form of ownership and organizational and legal form of the enterprise on the basis of an economically justified cost and a maximum level of profitability of 20 percent of the cost.
- 2. By agreement of the governing bodies of the republics of the Russian Federation, territories, regions, autonomous entities, the cities of Moscow and St. Petersburg with airlines, tariffs on local airlines can be reduced, based on the socio-economic interests of the regions, subject to compensation for the difference in income to airlines from the corresponding budgets.
- 3. Tariffs set by airlines may vary depending on quality transport services and level of comfort.
- The main base fare for passenger transportation on regular airlines is the economy class fare. The economy class fare includes all costs associated with transportation and the technological process of servicing passengers (including meals for passengers in flight and issuing tickets), as well as value added tax and insurance payment in the amounts established by law.
- Increased fares in "business" class of service are determined in accordance with the Recommendations of the Department air transport on the introduction and organization of service for passengers in the high-comfort "business" (business) class cabin dated November 26, 1992 N DV-4/552;
- Preferential fares for passenger transportation are established by applying discounts from economy class fares.
- 4. When operating two or more types of aircraft of one airline on an air route and in order to avoid recalculations with passengers when replacing an aircraft on this air route, it is advisable to establish a single level of tariffs.
- 5. Actual profitability passenger transportation should not exceed 20 percent of the cost of the airline as a whole based on the results of work for the year.
- 6. The composition of costs included in the cost of passenger transportation is determined in accordance with the “Regulations on the composition of costs for the production and sale of products (work, services) included in the cost of products (work, services), and on the procedure for generating financial results taken into account when profit taxation", approved by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 05.08.92 N 552, and taking into account industry specifics.
- 7. The rate of fees for commercial and maintenance of aircraft, their takeoff and landing is determined taking into account the following conditions:
- - economically justified costs and level of profitability, increased by the established amount of value added tax;
- - the maximum level of profitability in the amount of 20 percent, calculated on the average annual cost of work;
- Airlines establish uniform rates of charges, as well as prices for aviation fuel, regardless of the type of transportation and the affiliation of airline carriers in the Russian Federation.
- 8. Agency income air services are formed from commissions received from airlines for the sale of air tickets and additional fees for services when servicing passengers, established in accordance with agreements between the airline and the agency (or other agent) for the sale of tickets.
- The amount of commissions and other charges is established by applying a profitability cap of 20 percent to the average annual cost.
- 9. When transporting passengers with transfers and declared stops along the way, the total fare is determined by summing up the current fares for the corresponding flight segments.
- 10. Standards for free baggage transportation by aircraft type cannot be lower:
- - for economy class passengers:
- 20 kg - for Il-86, Tu-154, Il-62, Il-76, Tu-134, Yak-42, An-24, An-26, Yak-40, An-30 aircraft and Mi-10K helicopters, Mi-8, Mi-6.
- 10 kg - for An-28, An-2, L-410 aircraft and Mi-2, Ka-26 helicopters.
- - for business class passengers on all types of aircraft - 30 kg.
- Transportation of baggage that exceeds the free carriage limit is carried out at baggage rates calculated at one percent of the economy class passenger fare for each kilogram of baggage weight exceeding the established norm.
- 11. Each adult passenger has the right to transport one child under 5 years of age free of charge. In all other cases, each child under 12 years of age will be charged 50 percent of the full fare and will be provided with a separate seat.
- 12. Registration of tariffs for all categories of regular airlines is mandatory in accordance with the “Regulations on registration and notification of the entry into force and changes in passenger and cargo air tariffs, charge rates”, approved by the Department of Air Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Russia.
- It is recommended to change air fares upward no more than once a quarter; the decision to reduce fares is made by airlines based on economic feasibility. Unregistered air fares are not permitted.
- 13. Transportation of passengers on tickets sold before the fare change is carried out at the fares specified in the purchased ticket, without recalculations with passengers.
- 14. Methodological guidance and analysis of the practice of establishing and applying tariffs, rates of charges for take-off and landing, commercial and technical maintenance of aircraft is carried out by the Department of Air Transport of the Ministry of Transport of Russia, Regional Air Transport Directorates, branches of the Russian Transport Inspectorate, the Committee of the Russian Federation on Price Policy, local pricing authorities.
- 15. Economic sanctions are applied to airlines that violate state price discipline in accordance with the letter of the Committee of the Russian Federation on Price Policy, the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the State Tax Service of the Russian Federation dated December 1, 1992 N 01-17/030-23, N 112 and N BZ-6-05/410.
- 16. The Air Transport Department of the Ministry of Transport of Russia quarterly informs the Committee of the Russian Federation on Price Policy about the level of current tariffs, the volume of services provided and the use of aircraft.
