The nearest sea from Dzhankoy. The beaches of Dzhankoy or not all in Crimea are the sea. Detailed map of Dzhankoy - distance to the sea and shore
The other day, a wave of fun swept across Crimea after the information that the Russian travel portal Trevel.ru placed Dzhankoy in a leading position in the ranking of beach resorts in Crimea. To be fair, it should be said that the portal honestly positioned Dzhankoy as a place for a budget holiday with a mild climate and magnificent landscapes, but it ended up in line with Chernomorskoye and Alushta, which gave rise to a lot of jokes on the topic, like “the beaches are better in Pervomaisky, but in Oktyabrsky - the sea is cleaner." For the uninitiated: Oktyabrskoye, Pervomaiskoye, as well as Dzhankoy, are “deeply continental points,” at least from the point of view of the Crimeans.
This funny situation well illustrates the widespread belief that in Crimea there is sea everywhere. The misconception is so deep and rooted that even people who, in the wake of recent changes, were assigned to work in Simferopol, seriously asked local residents “where is the sea?” and experienced terrible disappointment when it turned out that the nearest coast was forty kilometers away. For a person accustomed to city traffic jams, this is not a distance, but it is still offensive.
Gentlemen, I have to disappoint you! Not all cities of Crimea can boast of good beaches or even beaches at all.
View of Chatyr-Dag from the sea
Yes, Crimea is washed by the seas on almost all sides, but it just so happens geographically that the ridge of the Crimean Mountains protects the subtropical climate only on a small area of land. On the other side of the mountains, the climate is different: drier, stricter and harsher. Our peninsula is small, but due to the uniqueness of the relief, the influence of the seas, the direction of the winds, etc. and so on. has a very large climatic diversity, which is sometimes expressed in incredible vagaries of weather and leads to the fact that Crimea is very different.
Therefore, its coastline differs significantly, and the opportunities for the notorious beach holiday can change dramatically even over short distances: if the beautiful small beaches of Evpatoria are ideal for children, then the rocky cliffs of Cape Tarkhankut are simply created for extreme sports enthusiasts or diving enthusiasts.
An experienced tourist knows that the colorful views of the Crimea with the sea surf, lush vegetation, palm trees and other cypress trees reproduced on postcards take place in a relatively short space between Kara-Dag and Cape Aya, that is, from Koktebel almost to Sevastopol. That's all!
But this does not mean at all that there is nothing to do in other places.
To be honest, I feel somewhat sorry for those who spend all their time just soaking in the warm sea and lying down on the warm shore (yes, this is extremely pleasant, I understand!) But they do not imagine how much can be missed if they do not overcome the craving for the blissful do-nothing that novices inevitably fall into. There are also mountains with incredible views, bays and bays, waterfalls and mud volcanoes, forest, steppe and seaside reserves, zoos and palaces, ancient cities, ancient fortresses, places of battles or other events, and, finally, tasting rooms and famous wineries, if you prefer earthly pleasures. And all this is almost within walking distance, because Crimea is, in essence, very small!
There seems to be such a wide freedom of choice that everyone can find a corner to their liking, find their own personal view of Crimea.
Actually, this is very good.
The authors of the material with the loud title “Rating of Russian resorts for holidays with children during the May holidays” invite Russians to consider budget holiday options for families with children. However, what they advise you to pay attention to is so masterpiece that you can choke with delight.
"In the first place of the rating is a small resort town and one of the most environmentally friendly places in Crimea - Chernomorskoe. The vacation budget is only 1,865 rubles per day. There is everything for a carefree pastime: a wide sandy beach with landscaped territory, water activities, a park with children's attractions, as well as cozy cafes and restaurants."
Time in Chernomorskoe will truly be carefree: there is simply nothing to do there. As for water activities, you will be offered a banana and take a photo with a parrot, this is at best. A wide sandy beach with a landscaped area is all behind the village, and let’s not forget that the Chernomorneftegaz towers are located there, which makes the place extremely environmentally friendly.
A bigger hole than the Black Sea, only...
“In third place in the ranking is the quiet and calm city of Dzhankoy in Crimea, famous for its magnificent landscapes and dry, mild climate. The budget here is 1980 rubles per day. The city is often called the “gateway of the peninsula”: it seems to open Crimea. The main attraction of the surrounding area is Kalinovsky park-reserve. On its territory there are more than 100 species of birds, settlements of waders, gulls and cormorants. You can learn more about the history of Crimea in the local history museum of Dzhankoy. This city is a godsend for those who are looking for a calm and measured holiday."
Magnificent landscapes include steppe, feather grass, a swamp called Sivash, and no sea for you. In addition, Dzhankoy is almost the crime capital of Crimea, the main point of sale of weed, as well as a place of mass residence for gypsies. Since gypsies are not allowed to work, and there is nowhere there, you can imagine what awaits you, starting from the station. It’s as if Crimea will open up to you. With all its gates, as it were. I can’t even imagine where they got a hundred species of birds. Apparently they have counted all the cormorants in the city. And one seagull that accidentally flew in from the sea, to which you can drive and drive in any direction. Although after the famous meme about the Simferopol embankment, from which cars were washed away into the sea, I’m not surprised at anything.
Of course, only a Russian person should pay almost 50 dollars a day to live in a city that has NEVER been a resort, as the authors of the article seem to hint to us. Although, if you look at the map, there is a New Life nearby.
"In fourth place in the ranking is the seaside resort town of Gurzuf in Crimea, located 11 kilometers northeast of Yalta (budget - 2037 rubles per day). Pushkin, Chekhov, Chaliapin and many other famous people stayed in this piece of paradise. Sights of Gurzuf - living witnesses of those times: houses where great artists lived, grottoes, museums. Gurzuf is also a famous children's health resort: this is where the international camp "Artek" is located."
I have nothing against Gurzuf, but Chekhov’s house is located in Yalta, and it has boarded up windows, and I don’t understand at all how the quality of rest can be affected by information about who was here before me. And if I’m traveling as a family with a child, why should I care about Artek? Oh yes, Gurzuf is a village, not a town. Very small. With a tiny pebble beach that has almost been washed away into the sea. I wouldn't go to something like this with children.
"In second place in the ranking is another beautiful resort city of Crimea - Alushta. The budget for a day there is 1877 rubles. Alushta is known for its picturesque nature, healthy climate and many beach areas. There are not many attractions within the city limits, but a lot of vivid impressions can be obtained within half an hour's drive. With children, it will be interesting to visit the dendrozoo, which is still little known among tourists, but popular among local residents, where you can feed the animals and have a great time."
Despite the fact that analysts suddenly found Alushta cheaper than Dzhankoy, it is still, of course, a resort. True, there are numerous beach areas - they, of course, got excited. What half-hour attractions the authors are talking about is also a mystery. That is, they exist, but what exactly is not specified. Although the phrase “a lot of vivid impressions within half an hour’s drive” can mean anything. The stench of sewage in the village closest to Alushta, for example. You didn't know, right?
"On the fourteenth line of the ranking is the hero city of Novorossiysk, located on the Black Sea coast in the Krasnodar Territory (budget - 3,530 rubles per day). There are fewer tourists here than in Sochi and Anapa, but every year more and more people choose this city for recreation. Novorossiysk is a place with a rich history, amazing nature and interesting sights. With children it is worth visiting the Yu. A. Gagarin Planetarium, which is recognized as a cultural heritage site."
Let's start with the fact that Novorossiysk is not a resort at all. This is a city with three streets, it is very clean and beautiful, but it is NOT A RESORT. You can only look at the sea there. All the interesting sights are a fleet base, where of course you will not be allowed. Yes, I was in Novorossiysk.
In general, everything in the article is excellent. Starting from outright fibbing to stylistic turns. This is usually written when you need to suck it out of your finger. So they sucked it out. I was especially pleased that in the ranking Dzhankoy is five places higher than Livadia - a truly excellent place.
Nuacho? Abroad has become inaccessible to people, let them go to Dzhankoy. Wow. With such success you can go to Bryansk - it is even more beautiful. And it’s not far from the Gulf of Finland.
