Running track Elk Island Izmailovsky Park. Where to go skiing in the capital? Bitsevsky forest park, ski resort "Uzkoe"
Living in Moscow, I never cease to be amazed at the paradoxes of the weather. If last year it was not possible to go skiing due to the lack of snow, then this year it was due to the low temperature -20-25?C. Only in the last weekend did January please us with good days, which we decided to take advantage of.
Of all the places where you can ski in Moscow, we settled on Izmailovsky Park, as it is the closest to our area. There are no mountains in Izmailovsky, so you can only cross-country ski. If you want to ski from the mountains, then you need to go somewhere to Uzkoye, Kolomenskoye, etc. There are many such places in Moscow, no less than those intended for regular skiing.
Ski rental opening hours in Izmailovsky Park on weekends: from 12:00 to 22:00, and on weekdays - from 14:00 to 22:00. Having reached the Partizanskaya metro station, from the only exit you need to go right across the road. Izmailovsky Park itself will already be there. At the very entrance there is a plan of the entire park, where the objects located here are marked. Number 3 was listed as “Inventory Rental Point” (in the photo below the red dot marks the actual rental location).
Logically assuming that there was a ski rental there, glad that it was not far, we headed there. But, having reached the indicated place, there was no ski base there, and there were no skiers in the area. After walking forward for about 5 minutes, wandering around the area, we finally saw people skiing. And soon the ski rental itself was discovered. Ski base is located not far from the pond, which is designated on the plan as the Round Pond; we once went on catamarans here in the summer.
The ski rental in Izmailovsky Park turned out to be a small one-story building, in front of which the grandmother handed out skis in a small shed. The process of obtaining skis was not so simple. As usual, I paid the money to the cashier, took my skis and boots and went. At the Izmailovo box office, this process, in my opinion, was somehow complicated.
First you need to go through the main building, where the dressing rooms and ski boot distribution are located, and exit through the opposite door to the ticket office. Here we pay for ski rental at a rate of 100 rubles/hour, plus a deposit for one pair of skis - 1000 rubles. Passports and other documents are not accepted as collateral.
After payment, with the tickets received from the cashier, go to the main building, where you receive ski boots. Well, you get it - this is ideal, but in reality my size (42) was not available. There is a crowd of people before the collection, some like us are waiting to receive them, some are already handing over their shoes, and others haven’t even paid yet and are unknowingly standing in line. We, as people, have a logic: if there is a queue, then you must definitely take a place in it, just in case, and only then find out what and how.
After waiting for about 15 minutes and, in the end, lying in wait for a man who was handing over my size, we received the long-awaited ski boots. My friend was lucky, she has size 37, and there were no problems with the boots. Having handed over our everyday shoes to the cloakroom and paid 10 rubles for it, we went out to receive our skis. Here we were lucky again - we took the last two pairs. Those behind us had to wait another 5 minutes until someone handed over their skis.
The area of Izmailovsky Park is 1621 hectares, so there is plenty of room for skiing here. True, we didn’t go deep into the forest, we rode around the pond. I haven’t skied for a whole year, I had to remember how it’s done, skating and all that stuff. Once I even fell out of the blue. But skiing is like swimming, once you learn it, you won’t forget it again. The muscles, of course, will quickly get tired out of habit, but you will continue to ride.
In addition to skiing, Izmailovsky Park also has a skating rink and skate rentals for winter entertainment. They are issued in the same building as ski boots, prices are in the photo above. You can also go sledding here. We wanted to, but the horse’s working day ended right before we arrived.
Izmailovsky Park is a good place where you can have a good rest (active rest), one might say even more – relax your soul. I liked how we spent this weekend. Sometimes you need to get out of the concrete jungle, push yourself, you can’t still sit at home at the computer.
The snow in Moscow fell surprisingly early this year. But even though the snow closed the cycling season ahead of schedule, it opened the ski season!
Whatever one may say, skiing in our country is one of the most popular cyclic sports. And this is the best alternative to triathlon training in winter period- no other sport can offer such functional and comprehensive work for the whole body.
The main question for those who are just getting acquainted with skiing is where to ski and what to wear on themselves and their feet. Therefore, we are launching a winter series of materials about skiing: where, how, in what and how much.
Today we will tell you about the main places for cross-country skiing in Moscow and the surrounding Moscow region. In general, you can just go skiing in virtually every park in Moscow, but there are not so many trails suitable for quality training. Let's look at the main ones.
**Routes of the nearest Moscow region near the Moscow Ring Road
Odintsovo** The route is located near Moscow, runs along the asphalt surface of a roller ski track, that is, the surface is flat and without bumps. As of mid-November, the track was in good condition. There are changing rooms in the stadium building. The route is illuminated at night.
Address: 3rd km. Krasnogorskoe highway. Distances: 3, 6, 10 km - roller circles, winter ones in preparation. Width: from 4 m. Height difference: ~50 m. Total height difference: ~165 m. Direction of movement: counterclockwise.
Meshchersky Park New place for skiing, appeared several years ago. However, it immediately became one of the best in the Moscow region. The reasons are simple - developed infrastructure, administration support for any sports activities and the right equipment that maintains the tracks. The longest circle is more than 5 kilometers long. There are 4 and 1.3 km laps. For tourist routes There are two tracks with a length of 1.8 and 2.6 km. The width of the tracks varies from 3 to 6 meters. On the sides there is space for adherents of the classical style, in the middle - for the ridge style. To prepare the trails, a special Husky Rat-rak snow compacting machine is used. There is lighting for skating at night and changing rooms. Address: Moscow region, nearest railway station Skolkovo. The exact location is at the link.
Krasnogorsk
The track in Krasnogorsk is one of the oldest in the immediate Moscow region. Qualifications for the World Championships and Olympics have been held here for many years. Unfortunately, now the track is not prepared at the top level, but it’s good for an amateur. Buranami rolls her, by the way, 12-time world champion Ivan Utrobin. As of mid-November, the condition of the loops in the forest is satisfactory, there are mounds and branches, leaves. There is no classic ski track. The circle in and around the stadium is in better condition than the circles in the forest, but decent “Olympic terrain” is not suitable for every beginner. Unfortunately, there are no ski tracks here yet. Therefore, you can only skate. There are paid changing rooms, which usually open from official start season, not in November. The 1.5 kilometer circle is illuminated until approximately 19:00. Address: Krasnogorsk, Zorkiy ski stadium, Rechnaya street, building 37.
And such loops in the forest
Bitsa
A favorite place for Moscow skiers, also due to its location - the route is the most “Moscow”. Last years it is threatened by a large construction project, but activists are collecting petitions, which is what we are talking about. So far, the 2.3 kilometer circle, which is located outside the Moscow Ring Road, is in good condition. Address: Moscow, South-Western Administrative District, 36th km of the MKAD.
Romashkovo
A famous place for skiing right next to the Moscow Ring Road. The abundance of circles (from 2 kilometers to 17) and their great length, interesting and moderate relief. The access to the highway from the outer Moscow Ring Road is currently closed due to construction. Therefore, you can get there from the Medic stadium or from the village of Romashkovo. The stadium has warm changing rooms. There is no lighting on the track. Address: Romashkovsky forest, 58 kilometer of the Moscow Ring Road.
The rubble on the highway has been removed, and the surface is now being leveled using snowstorms and a harrow. Photo from November 14.
Glider An old and famous track where starts at the Moscow Championship level are held. There is a forest part of the route, a flat part and a field part - with an abundance of difficult climbs. At the moment (mid-November), the track is being prepared rather tentatively, although you can ride. There is a locker room. Address: Moscow region, Khimki district, Olympic training and sports center "Planernaya".
Mid season photo
Ski center named after Anfisa Reztsova “Snezhinka”
The track on Snezhinka is simple - one circle is 5 kilometers, even in the depths of winter. But there is a retractor and a lot of competitions are held, so the condition is usually very good. There is a locker room, restrooms and track lighting. Address: Michurina street, building 24, Khimki.

**Places for skiing inside Moscow
**These tracks are more suitable for amateurs, have shorter laps and simpler terrain. And conveniently located for those who live within Moscow.
Tushinskaya highway in Aleshkinsky forest
The training site of the children's sports school, where Alexander Legkov began his skiing journey. There are laps from 1.5 kilometers to 7.5 kilometers. The track is prepared in winter by a retrac. At night, there is lighting on a 1.5 kilometer circle. A good place for training within the city. Address: entrance from Vilisa Latsis street, map.
**Krylatskoe
**Although the place is a cycling mecca, however, for winter species There is a good infrastructure for sports here. In particular ski slope and loops along the bike trail. There is no lighting or changing rooms.
Krylatskoye cycling ring in winter.
Izmailovsky Park
There are places both for walks in the park part and for training in the forest. The first option is mostly flat for skiing, while the second has sections with moderate relief. They are located in the forest part of the park. Arrival from the side of the Avangard stadium. There is no lighting or changing rooms.
Sokolniki
Here the situation is approximately the same as with Izmailovsky Park. There are ski tracks for active rest in more crowded places and more serious routes in the depths of the park, near the Putyaevsky Ponds cascade. This year, Moscow Mayor S. Sobyanin promised to make the track the best for skiing within Moscow. Let's hope! In the meantime, they made what the park itself calls an “all-weather ski track.” Its length is almost two kilometers. In the evening the track is illuminated with lanterns. To ensure that the snow cover remained in normal condition, the path was fenced on both sides with a mesh fence. Ski track in Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo park Another place on the Muscovite’s ski map is the park around the old Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo estate and surrounding areas. They say this year they started replacing heating pipes there and dug up part of the route, cutting off a couple of loops. But the route is still convenient for people who live nearby.
Great lawn of Moscow State University One five-kilometer circle near the main building of Moscow State University. When a lot of snow is prepared with a retractor, the height difference here is used to the maximum, although it is small - there is a small slope along the route along Kosygina Street.
Losiny Island A giant forest park within the city and even more gigantic outside the Moscow Ring Road. There is no special preparation, but hundreds of skiers walk here and therefore the ski track is quite comfortable and long. There are really remote places where you can see moose and other wildlife. You can enter from the Golyanovo district, from the Yaroslavskoe highway and through Sokolniki Park.
**Ski track in Timiryazevsky Park
Walking ski track in Timiryazevsky Park. It’s hard to call this a trail, but you can walk around the park on skis. **
Places for ski training in the Moscow region
Golovino (Volokolamsk direction)
The main track of the Moscow region with the highest level of lap preparation. It’s usually a couple of degrees colder here and therefore the snow cannons start working in early December (this season already in November). The Istina ski school trains here, so it is not a place for mass recreational skiing, but rather for serious training. There is lighting, but it is tailored for skiers from the local club. There are no changing rooms. The length of the route is 15 kilometers, there are an abundance of different circles - from 2 kilometers to 15. Address and how to get there link on Google.
Peresvet An old highway in the town of Peresvet, which has been greatly improved over the past few years, including with the participation of Alexander Legkov. There is a roller skating track, snow cannons, lighting and a hotel with changing rooms, showers and lockers. The relief is varied, as are the circles. Perfect place for serious training and high level preparation. Entrance to the track costs 250 rubles. Address: Moscow region, Peresvet, st. Pionerskaya, 9.
** GABO**
The full name of the route is GABO folk ski track. It is made by local enthusiasts and hobbyists skiing and I must say, they do it well. There is no retrack, the track is riddled with snowstorms. The season there has already opened (as of mid-November) and they say it’s good there. Track location on Google map.
Club track named after. Nasedkina
The route is located near the village named after. Tsyurupa. Pupils of the sports school and skiing enthusiasts train on the circles. The track is prepared with a retrac and snowstorms, there is lighting and changing rooms in the building next to the track. Address and how to get there: 57th km of Yegoryevskoe highway, turn to the village named after Tsyurupa, 1st km. coordinates of the route “Kelya – 3” on Google maps +55° 30" 25.57", +38° 42" 53.79" named after.
Of course, these are not all ski slopes in the Moscow region. There is a map with all the places for skiing.
Slippery skiing and a good training ground to everyone!
Snow fell a little late in Moscow this year, but that’s all the more joy for skiers. The Antenna correspondent traveled around the best routes and reports the details.
Aleshkinsky forest
The wide track is suitable for both skating and classics. The length of the main circle is 7 km. Part of the course (about 1.5 km in an open field) is well lit and well laid out. Now mostly skiers go there. Snow cannons are working. Fresh snow, if necessary, is transported along the entire distance. The track is monitored by Moskomsport employees. There are warm changing rooms - separately for men and women.
How to get there: Vilisa Latsis street, 26, metro station "Planernaya", then by buses 96 and 88 to the stop "Polyclinic 97"
Equipment rental: 150 rub. – hour, 200 rub. - 2 hours. No deposit is required, your passport details will be copied. There is a large selection of skis and boots.
"Alpha - Bitsa"
One of the most fashionable and famous tracks in Moscow is located next to the ring road and the Butovo forest. But getting there is convenient both by public transport and by your own car; there is parking. The length of the route is about 25 km, but on days with little snow, skiers mainly ski on frozen ponds and fields – this is 3 km. After snowfalls the route becomes longer. Since the track goes in loops, it is easy to combine the distance you need. Those who don't like climbing can limit themselves to laps around the fields. Competitions are often held on weekends, sometimes even in the evening. Skiers illuminate their path with headlamps. The Alfa-Bitsa sports club is preparing the route. It was laid professionally using a snowcat. Suitable for both “horse” and classic. There is a wardrobe with comfortable changing rooms; lockers are free for those who rent equipment. Open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Boots - from size 31 to 47. Shoes are always dry, as the electric dryer works.
How to get there: 36th km of MKAD. Buses 202, 165 from the Yasenevo metro station, 962 from the Dmitry Donskoy Boulevard metro station, 37 from the Teply Stan metro station to the Bitsa recreation area stop.
Equipment rental (skis, boots, poles): from 300 to 500 rub. in the first hour, every next 60 minutes – 100 rubles. Deposit – 3000 rub.
Izmailovsky Park
It consists of two parts: the Izmailovo Culture and Recreation Park and the Izmailovo Forest Park. The border runs along the Main Avenue. You can ski in both parts. Officially, the park of culture and recreation has three classic tracks - 3, 5 and 8 km. But in reality there are only “Start” and “Finish” signs, and the ski track itself was difficult to see in mid-January, and in some places it intersected with pedestrian paths. In the forested part, the situation is almost the same: there are no normal trails, and skiing is hampered by tree roots sticking out from under the snow. But the nature is beautiful, it’s as if you’re riding a hundred kilometers from civilization. When snow falls, there is more room to maneuver. If the snow cover melts, skiers go skiing to the Red Pond. Rentals (which are only available in the “cultural” part of the park) have one big disadvantage: you cannot leave things there. But there is a cafe nearby.
How to get there: metro station "Partizanskaya", metro station "Shosse Entuziastov". Equipment rental: 200 rub. per hour, deposit – 3000 rubles. or passport.
Sokolniki Park"
The total length of the park is approximately 45 km. ski slopes for a classic move. But basically they are all “wild”, so their quality leaves much to be desired. At the end of last year, the first all-weather track with artificial snow, which is rolled by snowcat, was opened in Sokolniki. True, it could not withstand the December thaw and melted. I had to refill it. Its length is 2.2 km. But only half of the distance has been well-rolled - that which runs along Luchevye Proseks. There you can drive both skate and classic. This same wide area is illuminated. The track is even partially fenced with a two-meter net to prevent strangers from entering. Otherwise, it passes through the forest, where you can only go classic on a narrow ski track. What’s confusing about the rental is that it’s used by visitors who come to the free skating rink, so there’s a catastrophic lack of space to change shoes. But there are many cafes where you can warm up later.
How to get there: metro station "Sokolniki"
Equipment rental: 150 rub. in 2 hours. Deposit – 4000 rub. for one pair of skis or your choice - 1000 rubles. plus a passport. Rent of a locker in a wardrobe – 100 rubles.
Fili Park
There are also three routes: 1, 3 and 5 km. They are prepared for lovers of the classic skiing, so that skiers do not disturb others walking along the snow-covered alleys. The ski track is narrow, but at least it was visible. The terrain of the course is flat - no steep ascents or descents. You can rent skis.
Journalists of the Kyrgyz Republic have prepared a small guide to the best places for skiing in the capital. There is not much time left, so you need to choose proven routes.
As it turned out, there are not many official ski routes in the city. They are in 37 parks, but the total length is no more than 120 kilometers (that’s about more than three kilometers per park). Each ski track can be covered from end to end in 25 minutes.
Sokolniki
There are four rental rentals here for visitors: in the ground area on the 5th Luchevoy Prosek, Main Alley, at the intersection of Pesochnaya Alley and Mitkovsky Proezd, on Bolshoi Putyaevsky Pond.
It's warm inside, there's a map of the park with drawn routes. There is also a storage room for visitors, where you can leave regular shoes while skiing.
A track for laser biathlon has opened on Golden Pond, which differs from the classic one in its shorter distance and the use of laser rifles. During one race, the participant completes five laps (1250 m) and four shooting ranges.
Pros: There is an all-weather ski track, paved by a snowcat, which is used to train professional ski slopes. Its length: 2 km, total length of park routes: 45 km.
Minuses: It is impossible to ski here - tourists use all the ski tracks as paths. Only the all-weather track was fenced off from people with a net. I didn’t like the equipment: the boots are fastened crookedly, the heel barely hits the ski.
Opening hours: 9.00 - 21.00 (skiing stops at 19.00).
Price: plastic - 150 rubles for 2 hours, semi-plastic - 80 rubles for 2 hours. A laser biathlon session costs 500 rubles.
"Kuzminki"
The official ski track is very short: only 3-4 kilometers. But homemade trails stretch for tens of kilometers!
Several rental points: not far from the main entrance, near the Vlahernskoye estate, on Zarechye street.
Starting this year, rentals include laser rifles for biathlon to make you feel like an Olympian, and bicycles with special winter tires.
Meeting husky dogs is one of the most unusual entertainments of the season. You can meet them, take pictures, and children can ride cheesecakes pulled by huskies.
pros: There are always the right boot and ski sizes. You can skate along the paths. There are hills near the ponds! I am pleased with the number of additional services.
Minuses: The classic ski track is all trampled down. No backlight.
Opening hours: 9.00 - 20.00 (skiing stops at 17.00).
Price: plastic skis- 200 rubles per hour. Equipment for biathlon - 250 rubles per hour. Husky riding - 500 rubles per 15 minutes.
Art. m. "Kuzminki", "Volzhskaya".
"Sparrow Hills"
Sparrow Hills now belongs to Gorky Park. But you can officially ski here only near the observation deck.
The official route stretches only 3.8 kilometers. There is only one rental available. To get to him, you will have to pay 300 - 500 rubles (depending on the time and day of the week). The rental point is located in the fenced area of the sports complex.
Pros: What elevation changes! You go from hill to hill. Illuminated trails. There are many amateur tracks - MSU students ride on them on weekdays.
Minuses: The place is clearly not for amateurs; you need to be able to turn at speed. There is little space on the official track.
Opening hours: Mondays from 20.00 to 22.00, Tuesday to Friday from 10.00 to 15.00 and from 20.00 to 22.00, Saturdays from 15.00 to 22.00 and Sundays from 10.00 to 22.00.
Price: plastic skis - 100 rubles for 1 hour + entrance fee from 300 rubles.
Art. m. "Sparrow Hills".
"Izmailovo"
16 kilometers of ski tracks, three rental points. Skating only on park paths.
Pros: Eat long routes: 3, 5 and 8 kilometers.
Minuses: The ski track often intersects walking paths. There is bare asphalt in this place - you have to either take off your skis or slowly cross the obstacle. Frequent pauses spoil the fun.
Opening hours: 12.00 - 20.00 (skiing stops at 19.00) on weekdays and from 10.00 to 22.00 on weekends.
Price: plastic skis - 200 rubles per 1 hour. Deposit: document or 3000 rubles.
Art. metro stations "Izmailovskaya", "Partizanskaya".
"Fili"
9.5 km of ski tracks, two rentals.
Pros: The park has three official ski tracks of 1, 3 and 5 kilometers. All of them are of decent quality - regional skiing competitions are regularly held here. The route goes through picturesque places through the forest.
Minuses: No lighting. Due to the fact that the route is laid through trees, it quickly begins to get dark here.
Opening hours: 9.00 - 20.00 (skiing stops at 19.00).
Price: plastic skis - 150 rubles per 1 hour.
Art. m. "Filyovsky Park", "Pionerskaya".
Bitsevsky forest
Total length of pistes: 24.5 km, there is a large ski base.
pros: there is good equipment rental, comfortable changing cabins and lockers for storing things.
Minuses: expensive rental
Opening hours: from 9.00 to 18.00 (skiing stops at 17.00).
Price: plastic skis - 300-500 rubles per 1 hour.
When renting skis, a cup of tea and a wardrobe are free.

Sokolniki Park"
Sokolniki Park can rightfully be called one of the best places for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. Almost every street inside the park is duplicated by a specially prepared ski route.
There are a total of 14 ski trails in the park, ranging from 2 to 10.5 kilometers in length. And for those who do not have their own pair of skis, there are two rental points - on Mitkovsky Proezd and at the intersection of the 6th Luchevoy and Maysky clearings.
A map of the park's ski routes can be found.
Moscow State University named after Lomonosov
The track, where amateur competitions for Moscow State University students periodically take place, is located between Michurinsky and Universitetsky Avenues and Kosygina Street (the so-called “Big Lawn”).
The total length of the route is 3.5 kilometers, the height difference is 18 meters. Several times a week they drive “Buran” along the track, and before competitions they drive a snowcat.
You can get to the track on foot or by car. You can leave your vehicle in the parking lot at the intersection of Mendeleevskaya Street and Universitetsky Prospekt. And in one of the educational buildings there is a rental point. Detailed map look .

They are laid along summer bike paths and start from Novozavodskaya Street. The length of the tracks is 1, 3 and 5 kilometers.
In addition, the park has several rentals. The closest ones are located near exits No. 4 and 7 (metro stations "Bagrationovskaya" and "Filyovsky Park" respectively). Find other rental locations at interactive map .
Victory Park

You can go skiing and enjoy the views of winter Moscow in Victory Park. It’s just that there is no rental service.
Therefore, if you have your own skis, feel free to go to the intersection of the Alley of Memory and the Alley of Defenders of Moscow. A 3-kilometer-long ski track begins there. The start and finish are marked with signs, and the ski track itself is located inside a special fence.

The 850th Anniversary of Moscow Park is one of the newest parks, which opened in the Maryino district last fall.

Along the way you can grab a snack and a hot drink at one of the many chalets. It is not necessary to take your own skis with you: the park has its own rental skis.
